First Two Cambridge City Council Candidate Forums

Pleasant surprise to see Cambridge candidate forums imitating the presidential candidate forums. Previous years brought moderators who had an image as politically neutral, League of Women Voters, e.g. But no more. This year, like the presidential candidate forums it will be an openly extremist leftist anti American moderator to ensure that no one tries to inform the voters. During her lifetime tenure at CCTV Ms. Fleischman, who promotes free speech,  would on occasion respond to comments by members which she considered offensive by storming into the studio and screaming at the host of the show. Lets see if she gives one of her memorable performances at this forum too.

The East Cambridge Planning Team will sponsor City Council candidate debates on Wednesday, Oct. 7, and Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the Broad Institute auditorium at 415 Main St., Kendall Square.
There are so many candidates that the organizers on the ECPT Board of Directors decided to hold two events so that each candidate will better able to communicate their message to the voters of Cambridge. Susan Fleischmann, executive director of Cambridge Community Television, will moderate both debates.

The candidates participating Wednesday, Oct. 7, are Xavier Dietrich, Marc McGovern, Paul Mahoney, Mariko Davidson, Minka vanBeuzekom, Romaine Waite, Mike Connolly, David Maher, Kim Courtney, John Sanzone, Denise Simmons, Ilan Levy and Nadeem Mazen
The candidates participating Tuesday, Oct. 13, are Tim Toomey, Craig Kelley, Leland Cheung, James Williamson, Dennis Carlone, Gary Mello, Gregg Moree, Dennis Benzan, Jan Devereux and Plinio deGoes.
