Letter from Harold Estes to President Obama
Fri, 27 Nov 2009 13:01:27 -0700

It is Thanksgiving so lets be thankful that we have people like this that may make a difference.

This venerable and much honored WW II vet is well known in Hawaii for
his seventy-plus years of service to patriotic organizations and causes
all over the country. A humble man without a political bone in his body,
he has never spoken out before about a government official, until now.
He dictated this letter to a friend, signed it and mailed it to the president.

Dear President Obama,

My name is Harold Estes, approaching 95 on December 13 of
this year. People meeting me for the first time don't believe my age
because I remain wrinkle free and pretty much mentally alert.

I enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1934 and served proudly before, during
and after WW II retiring as a Master Chief Bos'n Mate. Now I live in a
"rest home" located on the western end of Pearl Harbor allowing me to
keep alive the memories of 23 years of service to my country.

One of the benefits of my age, perhaps the only one, is to speak my
mind, blunt and direct even to the head man.

So here goes.

I am amazed, angry and determined not to see my country die before I do
but you seem hell bent not to grant me that wish.

I can't figure out what country you are the president of. You fly
around the world telling our friends and enemies despicable lies like:

" We're no longer a Christian nation"
" America is arrogant" - (Your wife even announced to the
world, "America is mean-spirited." Please tell her to try
preaching that nonsense to 23 generations of our war dead buried all
over the globe who died for no other reason than to free a whole lot
of strangers from tyranny and hopelessness.)

I'd say shame on the both of you but I don't think you like America nor
do I see an ounce of gratefulness in anything you do for the obvious
gifts this country has given you. To be without shame or gratefulness
is a dangerous thing for a man sitting in the White House.

After 9/11 you said, "America hasn't lived up to her ideals."

Which ones did you mean? Was it the notion of personal liberty that
11,000 farmers and shopkeepers died for to win independence from the
British ? Or maybe the ideal that no man should be a slave to another
man that 500,000 men died for in the Civil War ? I hope you didn't mean
the ideal 470,000 fathers, brothers, husbands, and a lot of fellas I knew
personally, died for in WWII because we felt real strongly about not
letting any nation push us around because we stand for freedom.

I don't think you mean the ideal that says equality is better than
discrimination. You know the one that a whole lot of white people
understood when they helped to get you elected.

Take a little advice from a very old geezer, young man. Shape up and
start acting like an American. If you don't, I'll do what I can to see
you get shipped out of that fancy rental on Pennsylvania Avenue. You
were elected to lead not to bow, apologize and kiss the hands of
murderers and corrupt leaders who still treat their people like slaves.

And just who do you think you are telling the American people not to
jump to conclusions and condemn that Muslim major who killed 13 of his
fellow soldiers and wounded dozens more. You mean you don't want us to
do what you did when that white cop used force to subdue that black
college professor in Massachusetts who was putting up a fight? You
don't mind offending the police calling them stupid but you don't want
us to offend Muslim fanatics by calling them what they are, terrorists.

One more thing... I realize you never served in the military and never
had to defend your country with your life but you're the
Commander-in-Chief now, son. Do your job. When your battle-hardened
field General asks you for 40,000 more troops to complete the mission,
give them to him. But if you're not in this fight to win, then get out.
The life of one American soldier is not worth the best political
strategy you're thinking of.

You could be our greatest president because you face the greatest
challenge ever presented to any president. You're not going to
restore American greatness by bringing back our bloated economy. That's
not our greatest threat. Losing the heart and soul of who we are as
Americans is our big fight now. And I sure as hell don't want to think
my president is the enemy in this final battle.

Harold B. Estes

When a 95 year old hero of the "the Greatest Generation" stands up and
speaks out like this, we owe it to him to send his words to as
many Americans as we can.

--From a teacher in the Nashville area

"We are worried about 'the cow' when it is all about the 'Ice Cream.'
The most eye-opening civics lesson I ever had was while teaching third grade this year...
The presidential election was heating up and some of the children showed an interest.
I decided we would have an election for a class president.
We would choose our nominees. They would make a campaign speech and the class would vote.
To simplify the process, candidates were nominated by other class members.
We discussed what kinds of characteristics these students should have.
We got many nominations and from those, Jamie and Olivia were picked to run for the top spot.
The class had done a great job in their selections. Both candidates were good kids.
I thought Jamie might have an advantage because he got lots of parental support.
I had never seen Olivia's mother.
The day arrived when they were to make their speeches.
Jamie went first.
He had specific ideas about how to make our class a better place. He ended by promising to do his very best.
Everyone applauded and he sat down.
Now is was Olivia's turn to speak.
Her speech was concise. She said, "If you will vote for me, I will give you ice cream." She sat down.
The class went wild. "Yes! Yes! We want ice cream."
She surely would say more. She did not have to.
A discussion followed. How did she plan to pay for the ice cream? She wasn't sure.
Would her parents buy it or would the class pay for it.. She didn't know.
The class really didn't care. All they were thinking about was ice cream.
Jamie was forgotten.. Olivia won by a landslide.
Every time Barack Obama opened his mouth he offered ice cream and 52 percent of the people reacted like nine year olds.
They want ice cream.
The other 48 percent know they're going to have to feed the cow and clean up the mess."
This is the ice cream Obama promised us!
Remember, the government cannot give anything to anyone --
that they have not first taken away from someone else......

Walking Eagle

President BARACK OBAMA was invited to address a major gathering of the
American Indian Nation two weeks ago in upstate New York.

He spoke for almost an hour about his plans for increasing every Native
American’s present standard of living. He referred to his time as a U.S.
Senator and how he had voted for every Native American issue that came to the
floor of the Senate.

Although President Obama was vague about the details of his plans, he
seemed most enthusiastic and spoke eloquently about his ideas for helping his “
red sisters and brothers.”

At the conclusion of his speech, the Tribes presented Obama with a plaque
inscribed with his new Indian name, “Walking Eagle.” The proud President
then departed in his motorcade to a fundraiser, waving to the crowds.

A news reporter later asked the group of chiefs how they came to select
the new name they had given to the President.
They explained that “Walking Eagle” is the name given to a bird so full
of sh** it can no longer fly.

The Israelis and Arabs finally realized that if they continued
fighting, they would someday end up destroying the world.

So they sat down and decided to settle the whole dispute with a
dogfight. The negotiators agreed that each country would take five
years to develop the best fighting dog they could.

The dog that won the fight would earn its country the right to rule
the disputed areas.

The losing side would have to lay down its arms.

The Arabs found the biggest, meanest Dobermans and Rottweilers in the
world. They bred them together and then crossed their offspring with
the meanest Siberian wolves.

They selected only the biggest, strongest puppy from each litter,
killed all the other puppies and fed them the best food . They used
steroids and trainers in their quest for the perfect killing machine.

After the five years were up, they had a dog that needed iron prison
bars on its cage. Only the trainers could handle this beast. When the
day of the big fight arrived, the Israelis showed up with a strange

It was a nine-foot-long Dachshund. Everyone felt sorry for the
Israelis. No one else thought this weird animal stood a chance against
the growling beast in the Arab camp. The bookies predicted the Arabs
would win in less than a minute. The cages were opened. The
Dachshund waddled toward the center of the ring.

The Arab dog leapt from his cage and charged the giant wiener-dog. As
he got to within an inch of the Israeli dog, the Dachshund opened its
jaws and swallowed the Arab beast in one bite. There was nothing left
but a small bit of fur from the killer dog's tail.

The Arabs approached the Israelis, shaking their heads in disbelief.
"We do not understand. Our top scientists and breeders worked for five
years with the meanest, biggest Dobermans and Rott weilers. They
developed a killing machine."

"Really?" the Israelis replied "We had our top plastic surgeons
working for five years to make an alligator look like a Dachshund.

Recap and analysis of the week in state government

By Jim O’Sullivan

STATE HOUSE, BOSTON, NOV. 20, 2009…… How’d you like to be the poor guy who drew the straw this year to take phone calls from the whack jobs and the media, and the whack jobs in the media, at the Cambridge Police Department?

First it was the cop and the professor jumping ugly with each other over the summer, then your guys are driving home a state senator who later in the afternoon rear-ends a minivan, and sitting on that bit of information for three weeks.

On the upside, the Legislature has your back on the Quinn Bill, which means you still get a raise if you go back to school.

CPD’s media department woes notwithstanding, the various distractions flitting on the periphery of the Hill were sidelined Wednesday and elbowed out completely on Thursday, when Gov. Deval Patrick strode into the tumbleweed-riddled pressroom and laid rhetorical waste to the Great and General Court, and told them to get back to work on education, criminal record and fiscal bills. “It's my hope,” the governor said, “that the members will realize that their rules are of their own making, that they have it within their power to work a couple more days or, frankly, as long as it takes, to get this work done.”

Little rankles like a work ethic charge, or being told as a legislator you’ve neglected your “moral obligation,” as Patrick put it Thursday. And it came on the heels of the governor getting in Bob DeLeo’s grill on Wednesday, visiting a charter school hard up against the speaker’s district as he urged the House to pass the education bill, a choice of venue that DeLeo unsolicited later in the day said sounded “fascinating.”

[. . .]

The charge of leaving work with work still to be done also stung since it was lobbed at the tail end of an autumn that was promised by the speaker to be “busy,” but which culminated Wednesday night with lawmakers sending Patrick only one significant piece of legislation: an act turning a pair of dog tracks into off-track betting parlors. A day later, the big guy got a budget remedy that he said came nowhere close to bringing the fiscal year into balance. Then the haymakers commenced. “The vulnerable populations we’re trying to protect they don’t get to look the other way … It’s their services at stake,” Patrick said, knowing right where to plant it.

It’s a contact sport.

“How does it make me feel inside? Sad,” said one senior legislative Democrat, tongue in cheek. “It just makes me feel sad.”

For DeLeo, it was a bit of a regime-shaping week. The governor gave him the opportunity to change his game, and the speaker responded. The speaker’s uncharacteristically sour response, via a spokesman: "Governor Patrick's comments seem to be more about political necessity than ‘moral obligation.’ Speaker DeLeo's obligation is to the Commonwealth's schoolchildren - not Governor Patrick's political calendar."

Among the rank and file, the Thursday press conference was final permission for how you can wage your re-election campaign. Not only will the governor run against them, they now have license to run against him, making for a general lack of coziness at all those Democratic holiday parties, not to mention 2010.

If you’re a freshman rep, you have absolutely no idea what’s going on here. Your bound to a work schedule and agenda set by your higher-ups. There’s a governor from your own party kicking your teeth in, you’re being forced to go on record in favor of and then again defending taxes, and you’re busting tail to rejoin an institution whose recent-past leader is defending himself in court in a trial playing out during election season. Nevermind the Senate, which this week was unusually compliant with gubernatorial desires, giving him the ed bill and a crime package.

So on the ballot next year will be a Republican, an independent, a governor, and the Legislature. Inasmuch as the Republican Party here is largely a punchline, the Democratic Party has essentially dissolved. There is, in terms of cohesion, no party. There are only incumbents.

Which actually works out quite nicely for both sides, if you’re an incumbent without legit competition, of which there currently appears little. The governor gets to run against the perennially low-polling Legislature, and lawmakers get to run against the chronically low-polling governor. Mutually assured reelection.

Sen. Anthony Galluccio has a larger problem. The Cambridge Democrat was bagged for a hit-and-run in October, and the Associated Press broke the news Monday that he got a ride home from cops 13 hours beforehand under suspicion of being inebriated. While the struggle between the House and Senate over whose excessive misbehavior yields more headlines remains unresolved, smart bettors are not discounting the Upper Chamber’s chances. Galluccio said Friday he was going to use the recess to confront personal issues.

[. . .]

Unless there’s something deeper here, the relationship between the governor and the speaker, probably the most crucial one in the building and in state government, appears at least altered. These are two guys who, at Patrick’s fancy, were palling around two weeks ago in the Oval Office, and now they’re working each other over, like Joe DeNucci and Emile Griffith back in the old days.

[. . .]

No PAC, No Funding

Asking Cadillac Deval not to cut funding for persons with disabilities is like asking an alcoholic not to drink. Do any disability rights groups have a viable PAC? Are there any lobbyists for human services corporations who are concerned about budget cuts unless their funding is being cut? No one cares about the plight of persons with disabilities unless they have an economic benefit. Almost all of the alleged disability rights advocates are front groups for human services corporations. The most offensive is NAMI which lobbies for more funding for drug treatment while pretending to be a civil rights organization. NAMI is funded mostly by drug companies. Journalists in search of quotable quotes are unable or unwilling to reveal the distorted motives of such lobbyists.

Bigotry as Diversity?

US has a Black President. MA and NY Governors are black. Mayor of Cambridge is a black lesbian. Presidents of Harvard and MIT are women. There are women and Black US Senators and Congressmen, Black multi millionaire tenured faculty members, celebrities and athletes. No mention of persons with disabilities as a part of Harvard's celebrated diversity, except as patients for Harvard psychiatrists and recipients of goods and services from human services corporations. Are all persons with disabilities low intellect with no education? Or is there an unlawful pervasive barrier from elitist journalists and overachievers at upscale colleges? Neither Harvard nor governments count persons with disabilities when they survey their diversity. Are there just too many persons with disabilities who do not need any help due to their wealth and political power?

Limited Liberal Range of Thought

Eagan shows her love for Obama liberals at Harvard who deny Communists and socialists exist. In "The Usual Suspects" Keyser Soze alerts his cop interrogator, "The greatest lie the devil told was that he did not exist." That is Harvard's position on Communists in the US Government. Oleg Kalugin revealed as KGB chief in America his mission was to divide Americans. Today we are divided by race, sex, sexual preference and more with laws to encourage the divisions. Did the Communists do a good job? Eagan as a useful idiot ridicules Bachman's call for "an investigation of Congress to roust out anti-American, coup-plotting moles." Are they like the Muslim terrorists who do not exist? Continuing her useful idiocy Eagan makes fun of "the 'Deathers,' who think Obama wants to kill Granny." Eagan can't recognize a major project of Not Dead Yet a disability rights group opposed to assisted suicide. Doctors "discuss" options with ill patients who may feel guilty causing work and expenses to their relatives. It might relieve the suffering and the suffering of others if they chose to end it early. It is only a possibility. I'm not suggesting that you do it, just want you to know it can be done. Ahem! Eagan shows her bigotry toward persons with disabilities saying "Too many voters saw too many tin foil hats in Sarah’s camp." Is that a new personal attack or what? Liberals argue: "You're wrong." "You're evil." "You're mentally ill." Suggesting that "tin foil hats" are a sign of mental illness she suggests that those people and who they support should be ignored because, well they wear tin foil hats due to mental illness. Though Eagan demands respect for women, she denies it to persons with disabilities. No vote for disabled persons? No shame.

Also ignored are the liberal media and public officials who use "diversity" to silence negative thoughts about the enemy which these troops are supposed to fight. They are paid to fight then told that what they do is offensive. Is this "The Double Bind" used to drive people insane? Perhaps this is a method used by the psychiatric industry and the drug companies to gain control of the military as they gained control of journalists and politicians. Using stigma as a tool to bring in more patients is standard drug company tactics. The drug industry funds and usually uses their front organization NAMI which masquerades as a civil rights organization to increase the client base.
Why is there a government agency acting as a lobbyist for treatment of illnesses which only psychiatrists can see? Wasting taxpayer funds is what government does. No financial limit using other people's money on fake illnesses made up to suit the needs of the industries. The NIMH promotes violent behavior by encouraging drug treatment.

Illogical Essay

Equating McVeigh to thousands of Islamo-fascists is nonsense. How many "Israeli law student[s]" assassinated Americans and Palestinians? You cite Israeli on Israeli violence. More nonsense. Did Pat Robertson assassinate anyone? Words are not equal to acts. Hello! How many "Baptist minister[s] . . . orchestrated the murders of civil rights workers?" One? How many Catholics told murder victims to “Pray the rosary!” as he executed them? Is this more nonsense? Equating the President listening for 20 years to a minister who hates America to individual citizens is stupidity. Saying "all faiths have a lunatic fringe." may be true. But ignoring the thousands of Muslims who commit violent act on innocent people shows blindness deafness and selective input to your brain. You missed a valid historical argument used by some groups to brutalize people alive today. That is just irrational. Take a course in logic.

Parody of Beck Gets Laughs

"a running joke on news site's messageboards, which compared Beck's style to a routine by comedian Gilbert Gottfried at a Friar’s Club Roast in which he repeatedly denounced the nonexistent rumors that Bob Saget "raped and killed a girl in 1990." In repeating the rumor, of course, Gottfried succeeded in spreading it—thus roasting his fellow comic."

Psychiatry Creates Serious Problems

Krauthammer laments, "Medicalizing mass murder not only exonerates. It turns the murderer into a victim, indeed a sympathetic one. After all, secondary PTSD, for those who believe in it (you won't find it in DSM-IV-TR, psychiatry's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual), is known as "compassion fatigue." The poor man -- pushed over the edge by an excess of sensitivity."

But that is what psychiatry does with many crimes. The Nazi doctors in Germany medicalized social problems. That is happening in the USA today. There is no appeal from a medical diagnosis. Psychiatry is not based on science. It is personal opinion masquerading as science. Psychiatrists take freedom without due process rights. Psychiatrists predict the future in court.

90,000 to 5

Based on five accidents by elders the state and the its acolytes want to impose restrictions on their driving privileges. 90,000 patients die each year due to medical negligence some as simple as not washing hands between patients. The state wants to do nothing. Why are doctors given a license to kill and to maim with no requirement to be tested to keep their licenses?

Indifference is Pervasive

Indifference toward abuse of vulnerable persons is pervasive among human services professionals. They focus on not offending the three wealthy and powerful groups who dominate the attention of journalists, politicians and educators--multi millionaire tenured Harvard professors, millionaire thug athletes and homosexual political leaders. Persons with disabilities and elders are abused; police and the state refuse to act. They use psychiatry as an excuse. If the abuse victim admits being mentally ill then the psychiatric industry will protect their new patient. Otherwise they just ignore it contrary to law.

Doctors Do More Damage Than Older Drivers

Imposing new testing rules on seniors is based upon "a year-long spate of grisly crashes that have left several dead." Why do solons and concerned citizens ignore 90,000 deaths due to medical negligence each year, some due to simply not washing one's hands between patients? Why are older and younger doctors not required to be tested to keep their license? They do a lot more damage than "several deaths."

I've long disagreed with Cy's fuzzy "root causes" approach to fighting crime. But really -- in this lawyer-rich town, can't the new DA take advice from someone who's not disgraced, disbarred or disturbed?"

Political Correctness Vs. Free Speech

"The main problem with political correctness is that the concept itself is both irrational and diametrically opposed to the Western notion of free speech." Some believe that PC derives from the efforts to create the therapeutic state in this country. Others believe that the PC movement began in the Frankfort School and moved to New York when the Nazis took power in Germany. The KGB under Oleg Kalugin encouraged this in order to divide Americans. They did a great job of that. See 22 minute video at

Hypocrisy in Action

"It was fascinating to see Barack Obama warning us not to leap to conclusions about the killings at Fort Hood, Texas – after the way he leaped to conclusions over the arrest of Henry Louis Gates, when he knew less about the facts than we already know about the massacre at Fort Hood."

"One of the few advantages to the country in having Congress overwhelmingly in the hands of one party is that the lack of need to compromise lets the leaders of that party reveal themselves for what they are – in this case, people with unbounded arrogance and utter contempt for the right of ordinary people to live their lives as they see fit, much less the right to know as citizens what laws are going to be passed by their government." This applies to MA state government especially.

Air Force Develops Mind Incapacitating Weapons

[Comments by Cheryl Welsh, Director Mind Justice ]

This article described what [mind control] victims describe, the general cluster of symptoms.

Of course this research was discovered back in the 1940s, 50s, even earliers roots, if you read psychology etc, Pavlov, fight or flight, sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system was studied extensively, acetylcholine, etc. the biological foundation for learned helplessness, etc. Reporters should ask tougher questions instead of joking it off.

The 2002 Converging Technologies Report is now proposing similar research
thirty years later. This report describes what is classified and the science of mind control weapons, I think. Researchers today don't conduct the "EMR approach" to research. The military has classified and monopolized EMR research since WWII. Reporters should ask scientific/historical questions. Page 355-6 of the report;

Non-drug Treatments for Enhancement of Human Performance, Robert Asher,

Drug companies spend an average of $800 million to develop new drugs that

externally applied, non-dangerous electromagnetic fields ...that enhance
human performance.

...What other changes can be engineered by a specifically shaped
electromagnetic pulse that might enhance human performance without
pharmaceuticals? ...This investigation may spawn a new industry in which the
human is enhanced by externally applied electromagnetic pulses so shaped as
to enhance specific biochemical changes within the body without drugs...

Consider cellular electrochemical and structural changes and actions

This was written by Sherry Hackett, Buddy Hackett's widow........
President Obama:

Today I read of your administration's plan to re-define September 11 as a National Service Day. Sir, it's time we had a talk.........

During your campaign, Americans watched as you made mockery of our tradition of standing and crossing your heart when the Pledge of Allegiance was spoken. You, out of four people on the stage, were the only one not honoring our tradition.

YES, "We noticed."

During one of your many speeches, Americans heard you say that you intended to visit all 57 states.
We all know that Islam, not America has 57 states.

YES, "We noticed."

When President Bush leaned over at Ground Zero and gently placed a flower on the memorial, while you nonchalantly tossed your flower onto the pile without leaning over.

YES, "We noticed."

Every time you apologized to other countries for America's position on an issue we have wondered why you don't share our pride in this great country. When you have heard foreign leaders berate our country and our beliefs, you have not defended us. In fact, you insulted the British Crown beyond belief.

YES, "We noticed."

When your pastor of 20 years, "God-damned America" and said that 9/11 was "America's chickens coming home to roost" and you denied having heard recriminations of that nature, we wondered how that could be. You later disassociated yourself from that church and Pastor Wright because it was politically expedient to do so.

YES, "We noticed."

When you announced that you would transform America, we wondered why. With all her faults, America is the greatest country on earth. Sir, KEEP THIS IN MIND, "if not for America and the people who built her, you wouldn't be sitting in the White House now." Prior to your election to the highest office in this Country, you were a senator from Illinois and from what we can glean from the records available, not a very remarkable one.

YES, "We noticed."

All through your campaign and even now, you have surrounded yourself with individuals who are basically unqualified for the positions for which you appointed them. Worse than that, the majority of them are people who, like you, bear no special allegiance, respect, or affection for this country and her traditions.

YES, "We noticed."

You are 9 months into your term and every morning millions of Americans wake up to a new horror heaped on us by you. You seek to saddle working Americans with a health care/insurance reform package that, along with cap and trade, will bankrupt this nation.

YES, "We noticed."

We seek, by protesting, to let our representatives know that we are not in favor of these crippling expenditures and we are labeled "un-American", "racist", "mob". We wonder how we are supposed to let you know how frustrated we are. You have attempted to make our protests seem isolated and insignificant. Until your appointment, Americans had the right to speak out.

YES, "We noticed."

On September 11, 2001 there were no Republicans or Democrats, only Americans. And we all grieved together and helped each other in whatever way we could. The attack on 9/11 was carried out because we are Americans.

And YES, "We noticed."

There were many of us who prayed that as a black president you could help unite this nation. In six months you have done more to destroy this nation than the attack on 9/11. You have failed us.

YES, "We noticed."

September 11 is a day of remembrance for all Americans. You propose to make 9/11 a "National Service Day". While we know that you don't share our reverence for 9/11, we pray that history will report your proposal as what it is...a disgrace.

YES, "We noticed."

You have made a mockery of our Constitution and the office that you hold. You have embarrassed and slighted us in foreign visits and policy.

YES, "We noticed."

We have noticed all these things. We will deal with you. When Americans come together again, it will be to remove you from office.

Take notice.

I believe it is time to really make a stand for our beliefs and values.

I Only hope we find GOD again before it is too late

The following was written by Ben Stein and recited by him on CBS Sunday Morning Commentary.

My confession:

I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejeweled trees, Christmas trees. I don't feel threatened. I don't feel discriminated against. That's what they are, Christmas trees.
It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, 'Merry Christmas' to me. I don't think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it. It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year. It doesn't bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu. If people want a crèche, it's just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away.

I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from, that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can't find it in the Constitution and I don't like it being shoved down my throat.

Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship celebrities and we aren't allowed to worship God as we understand Him? I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old, too. But there are a lot of us who are wondering where these celebrities came from and where the America we knew went to.

In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different. This is not intended to be a joke; it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.

Billy Graham 's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her 'How could God let something like this happen?' (regarding Hurricane Katrina). Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said, 'I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?'

In light of recent events ... terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found a few years ago) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK. Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school. The Bible says thou shalt not kill; thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK.

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave, because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he's talking about. And we said okay.

Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.

Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with 'WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.'

Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

Are you laughing yet?

Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.

My Best Regards, Honestly and respectfully,

Ben Stein
I am proud to be white

[Attributed to Michael Richards. I disagree with his premise that only white people are racists. I complain about black racists often. Ed.]

This is great. Why are white people racists, and no other race?

Proud to be White

Michael Richards makes his point...............

Michael Richards better known as Kramer from TV's Seinfeld does make a good point.

This was his defense speech in court after making racial comments in his comedy act. He makes some very interesting points....

Someone finally said it. How many are actually paying attention to this? There are African Americans, Mexican Americans, Asian Americans, Arab Americans, etc.

And then there are just Americans. You pass me on the street and sneer in my direction. You call me 'White boy,' 'Cracker,' 'Honkey,' 'Whitey,' 'Caveman'... and that's OK..

But when I call you, Nigger, Kike, Towel head, Sand-nigger, Camel Jockey, Beaner, Gook, or Chink..You call me a racist.

You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you... so why are the ghettos the most dangerous places to live?

You have the United Negro College Fund. You have Martin Luther King Day..

You have Black History Month. You have Cesar Chavez Day.

You have Yom Hashoah. You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi.

You have the NAACP. You have BET.... If we had WET (White Entertainment Television), we'd be racists. If we had a White Pride Day, you would call us racists.

If we had White History Month, we'd be racists.

If we had any organization for only whites to 'advance' OUR lives, we'd be racists.

We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a Black Chamber of Commerce, and then we just have the plain Chamber of Commerce. Wonder who pays for that??

A white woman could not be in the Miss Black American pageant, but any color can be in the Miss America pageant.

If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships.... You know we'd be racists.

There are over 60 openly proclaimed Black Colleges in the US . Yet if there were 'White colleges', that would be a racist college.

In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching for your race and rights. If we marched for our race and rights, you would call us racists.

You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you're not afraid to announce it. But when we announce our white pride, you call us racists.

You rob us, carjack us, and shoot at us. But, when a white police officer shoots a black gang member or beats up a black drug dealer running from the law and posing a threat to society, you call him a racist.

I am proud.... But you call me a racist.

Why is it that only whites can be racists?

There is nothing improper about this. We have LOST most of OUR RIGHTS in this country. We won't stand up for ourselves!

It's not a crime YET... but getting very close!

Psychiatry and Due Process Rights

Psychiatry and Due Process Rights

Taking a person's freedom requires Due Process under the Fourteenth Amendment to the US Constitution. Psychiatry bypasses those rights under laws passed by legislators who are paid by the psychiatric industry, the drug corporations and other interests of controlling and reducing freedom. The laws which deny Due Process rights violate those rights. Allowing the laws to remain makes acceptable a double legal standard for taking freedom. One for persons with disabilities and one for persons without disabilities. It is no different from the double standard based on race, religion, poverty. Here is one example of abuses of the Constitution and denial of Rights guaranteed by it to one man in the name of psychiatry.

Does the Secret Service jail dissenters in mental hospitals?

"International peace movement have said, “if you see injustice and say nothing, you have taken the side of the oppressor.”

"May we learn the lessons of history before it's too late. If we wait, we may at some time in the future have to admit that we were wrong when we thought we had been free." ~Dr. Kohls, is a retired physician from the Duluth, MN area who writes about peace, justice, mental health and religion.

Back on June 21 of 2004 Secret Service agent Ray LeBeau asked the Phoenix police to arrest Kevin Walsh and take him to a mental institution. Secret Service agent Ray LeBeau said more or less that Kevin was crazy and needed mental help. This can be confirmed by reading the police reports on pages 5 thru 7. The Phoenix police arrested Kevin at an apartment complex in Tempe, then describe how they attacked kevin and took his gun away from him, and later took Kevin to the Maricopa County psych ward as requested by Secrect Service agent Ray LeBeau.

Bryon Wells in a Mesa or East Valley Tribune article on Tueday June 29 also wrote that the Secret Service had arrested Kevin Walsh and jailed him in a Mesa mental institution.

Also in both the phoenix police reports, and Bryon Wells' article in the Tribune it the Secret Service (Ray LeBeau) also said that Kevin Walsh made a threat on the life of the president of the United States. Kevin denied making any threats about the president in the Tribune article. It has been 9 months since Kevin was locked up by the Secret Service but they have not charged him with any federal crimes. My question is that if the secret service had the "probable cause" to arrest Kevin for threatening the president how come they did not arrest him and charge him for that crime? Myself, I don't think they ever had the probable cause needed to arrest Kevin.

About monday June 7 secret service agent Ray LeBeau called Kevin Walsh's home and asked him to contact him at (60.... According to a message Kevin posted on the ASH sig Kevin called the number and left a message to Agent Ray Lebeau telling him that he didn't want to speak to him and asking Ray LeBeau not to bother Kevin's family any more. The Phoenix police report also says that Agent Ray LeBeau wanted to talk to Kevin but that Kevin refused to contact him. My big question on this is how did the Secret Service have any evidence that Kevin was crazy if the Secret Service never spoke to Kevin Walsh?

According to Kevin Walsh after he was in the mental hospital for about 3 to 4 months the Secret Service did subpoena his mental health records. I suspect that was a fishing trip to see if Kevin's doctors got Kevin to admit threatining the president. I don't think they got any evidence because it has been 9 months since Kevin's initial arrest and Kevin has not been charged with any federal crimes.

Why would the Secret Service jail political disenters in mental instutitions? Probably because it is a damn easy way to lock someone up forever without convicting him of a crime.

Under ARS 36-520 anyone can request that a person be declared insane and locked up.

36-520. Application for evaluation; definition A. Any responsible individual may apply for a court-ordered evaluation of a person who is alleged to be, as a result of a mental disorder, a danger to self or to others, persistently or acutely disabled, or gravely disabled and who is unwilling or unable to undergo a voluntary evaluation

Once you have asked the person to be locked up, ARS 36-525 allows the police to jail him without any evidence execpt for the fact that someone said he was insane.

And at the person's court hearing if you can get one judge (that's one judge, not a jury of 12 people) to agree that the person is insane the judge can jail the person for three months to a year without all the hassles of having a jury trial or convincing anyone other than the judge that the person is insane. the judge can jail the person for 90 days if he thinks the person is a danger to himself, 180 days if a danger to others, 365 days if gravely disabled. That sure sounds a lot easier than digging up some non-existent evidence that Kevin threatened the president.

The Secret Service never said in the police reports exactly what they claimed Kevin threatened to do to the president of the United States, nor did the say who told them that Kevin threatened to kill the president of the United States.

According to Kevin, he never threatened the president. Kevin said a Republican phone solicitor called his family and asked them to support and vote for to keep President Bush in office for four more years. Kevin did say that he told the phone solicitor that he "wished the president were dead", something that is probably stupid to say but perfectly legal. The phone solicitor was also at the hearing where Kevin was declared insane, but Kevin's lawyer prevented the phone solicitor from testifying because he said it would be heresay evidence.

[My lawyer at the time was Vince Triano. Ms. Martin had not yet taken over my case. --Kevin Walsh]

How did the Secret Service come to the conclusion that Kevin Walsh is crazy and needs mental health care? I dont know. That wasn't stated in any of the articles? The Secret Service never gave any info on why they made the claim. Kevin has not given me any reasons on why the Secret Service would say he is crazy.

What type of crazy has the court classified Kevin as?

Probably schizophrenia, because the drugs they are forcing Kevin to take are commonly used to treat schizophrenia.

[The two psychiatrists who testified at my hearing both claimed I had the "psychotic disorder, not otherwise specified," which is to say they thought I was mentally ill but could not figure out what illness I supposedly had. When risperidone was ordered for me, I asked if I was considered schizophrenic, but I was told I was not. Eventually I was told I had been diagnosed as having the delusional disorder. --Kevin Walsh]

What is schizophrenia? It is a broad cover-all illness. It can be any thing from being "paranoid" to the extreme of being a "manaic depressive" or "bi-polar disorder" which is the new politically correct term for it.

[I was always given to understand that schizophrenia and the bipolar disorder were two different illnesses. --Kevin Walsh]

Schizophrenia is also a "cover-all term" if they don't know what's wrong with you, they call you schizo. The doctors themselves will tell you they don't have a good understanding of schizophrenia but see this web page for more details.

1) this is a summary of the Arizona laws that can be used to lock up people considered crazy.

all the stuff in the summary is taken from Title 36 of the Arizona Revised Statues

2) It seems like Secret Service Special Agent Ray LeBeau is the person who claims that Kevin Walsh threatened the life of the president, and also had Kevin jailed for being crazy. His direct number is:

Secret Service

3) Kevin has had two public defenders. One defended him in the case where the Secret Service declared that he was insane. the other is defending Kevin in the case where he is accused of assulting the Phoenix cops who arrested him for the Secret Service. They both work for the Maricopa County Attorney's Public Defender's Office.

Stigma is No Barrier to Treatment

After many years of PR flacks promoting the idea of stigma, the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) promotes the idea that stigma prevents people from seeking treatment. Contrary to that paradigm are state and US laws (Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, Rehabilitation Act of 1973), which address discrimination, which denies to persons PERCEIVED as mentally ill (i.e., having a disability) from enjoying the same rights and privileges as "normal" persons. NAMI does not address this perspective at all. They remain focused on promoting drug treatment because they receive major funding from drug corporations. See e.g.,
NAMI Constituency Revealed
If a person wants psychiatric treatment there are no barriers other than internal ones. But if a person with a disability wants government services e.g., protection from crime police often deny them basic rights. NAMI ignores those abuses as does this essay.

The Costume Party

A couple was invited to a swanky costume party. The Mrs. got a terrible headache and told her husband to go to the party alone.
He being a devoted husband protested, but she argued and said she was going to take some aspirin and go to bed and there was no need for his good time being spoiled by not going.
So he took his costume and away he went. The wife, after sleeping soundly for about an hour, awakened without pain and, as it was still early, decided to go the party.
Since her husband did not know what her costume was, she thought she would have some fun by watching her husband to see how he acted when she was not with him.
She joined the party and soon spotted her husband cavorting around on the dance floor, dancing with every nice woman he could, and copping a little feel here and a little kiss there.
His wife sidled up to him and being a rather seductive babe herself, he left his current partner high and dry and devoted his time to the new babe that had just arrived. She let him go as far as he wished ,naturally, since he was her husband.
Finally, he whispered a little proposition in her ear and she agreed.
So off they went to one of the cars and had a quickie.
Just before unmasking at midnight, she slipped away, went home, put the costume away and got into bed, wondering what kind of explanation he would make for his behavior.
She was sitting up reading when he came in, and she asked what kind of a time he had. He said: "Oh, the same old thing. You know I never have a good time when you're not there."
- "Did you dance much ?"
- "I'll tell you, I never even danced one dance. When I got there, I met Pete, Bill Brown and some other guys, so we went into the den and played poker all evening. But you're not going to believe what happened to the guy I loaned my costume to...."
