White House Uses Good Intentions To Harm Civilians

[From article]
David Quammen -- Yale grad, Rhodes scholar -- struck the perfect multicultural note. With the fury of a Puritan divine, he scolded those who want to ban commercial travel to West Africa. “How dare we turn our backs on Liberia,” said Quammen, “given the fact that this is a country that was founded in the 1820s, 1830s because of American slavery. We have a responsibility to stay connected to them and help them see this through.”
[. . .]
It is this, the logic of multiculturalism, that has dictated the White House response to the Ebola crisis. That logic, however, doesn’t fly with ordinary citizens. So the administration is forced to argue its case in any which way it can. Enter, stage left, the hapless Thomas Frieden, director of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Prevention.
[. . .]
At Fox News, Bill O’Reilly called Frieden’s comments “stupid and irresponsible,” and in an interview Megyn Kelly challenged him aggressively. To Kelly’s question about the ban, Frieden responded in his cloying, Mr. Rogers-like way, “Above all do no harm.”
[. . .]
As he told the graduates of his alma mater, the uber progressive Oberlin College, in a 2012 commencement speech, his first job out of college was as “a community organizer for a health clinic.”
[. . .]
Frieden soon found just the place to do it, namely in the administration of New York mayor Michael Bloomberg. There he would lead the crusade against tobacco, trans fats, Big Gulps, and the ignorant infidels who enjoyed them.
[. . .]
As director of the CDC, Frieden -- Oberlin, Columbia, Yale -- would become one of the smart people. “Our information is clear and correct,” Frieden insisted to Megyn Kelly in spite of all evidence to the contrary. His motives were too pure and his IQ too high for that information to be otherwise.
[. . .]
Once among the elect, they secure their place by imputing new sins to those who resist -- racism, of course, but also sexism, classism, homophobia, Islamophobia, xenophobia, and soon -- one suspects -- Ebolaphobia.
[. . .]
In Ebola, multiculturalism may have met its match.

Higher Education Opposes Thought and Analysis Among Students

College students are being encouraged to obey authority and to conform.

[From article]
Anyone who has been away from teaching at the college level may be surprised at some of the changes that have occurred at the ivory tower. Most of these changes are in place to insure that students have no new thoughts or ideas. This is especially true in the progressive-dominated so-called social and political sciences.
[. . .]
Adjunct faculty now teach the majority of classes at U.S. colleges and universities. Some studies show they make up over 65% of the course taught.
With low pay, no tenure, and their jobs at the mercy of many capricious and neurotic administrators, who make high salaries, don’t expect adjuncts to step out of line and offer a new thought to their students.
[. . .]
Many adjuncts know that the college registrar or another administrator may change a student’s grade for whatever politically correct reason. Why fail an illegal-alien Mexican DREAMer, who spent the entire semester dreaming in your class, when the registrar can change your F grade to a C?
[. . .]
The modern classroom has replaced the professor’s desk with a podium from which audiovisual devices may be controlled. This means that authority has now moved from the professor to the DVD player and the wifi connection.
[. . .]
Certain words may no longer be said in the contemporary classroom because they makes some students uncomfortable and open the adjunct professor to harassment complaints. There are the N-word and the F-word and the C-word. Say these actual words, even if you are quoting from a great novel, and you’re out the classroom door. The best professors these days have a niggardly vocabulary.
The eagerness many female HR bureaucrats have to enforce harassment laws against white males works as a form of censorship in the college classroom.
[. . .]
Many students go on to adulthood with a mountain of debt and a molehill of truth.

White House Leads Other Countries Not The United States

[From article]
The problem with voting into the presidency an internationalist is that his oath to “protect and defend” the Constitution (and by implication the nation) doesn’t apply to this nation. He sees it as his duty to protect and defend some undifferentiated poor folks in the Third World. You suckers just pay the bills and suffer the consequences of his actions.
[. . .]
As you can see, the National Institutes of Health expenditures, from the clearly frivolous (origami condoms) to the clearly extraneous (syphilis transmission by gays in Peru) reflect not only mission creep, but a lack of rational priorities.
[. . .]
Millions went to develop “origami condoms,” in male, female, and anal versions. The inventor Danny Resnic, who received $2,466,482 from the NIH, has been accused of massive fraud for using grant money for full-body plastic surgery in Costa Rica and parties at the Playboy mansion.
[. . .]
Dr. Friedan (who seems to have let his medical license lapse in Georgia in 2011), is best known for being ex-NYC Mayor Bloomberg’s point man on banning trans fats and large drinks, not for disease control.
[. . .]
this left-wing administration is full of people more concerned with social control of those citizens who remain law-abiding than with more serious issues of crime and health. Those things require skill and hard work, and most concern taxpayers.
[. . .]
this week, the president appointed yet another czar – Ron Klain – with no medical background, but a long history as a political hack.
At the same time that the administration has refused to take the proper steps to prepare for this disease and to limit it by limiting travel, children of the country are dying from a strain of enterovirus surely introduced by the president’s policy of allowing in thousands of unaccompanied children from Latin America who carry this virus, herding them all together so more can carry it, and then dispersing them around the country, where local communities have admitted them into schools without health checks.
[. . .]
the president defiantly, in opposition of public opinion and evidence, is doubling down.
He has just signed an executive order allowing in 100,000 more Haitians into this country. Haiti, as you might recall, is one of the poorest places and most disease-ridden in this hemisphere.

Feminists Approve Rape For Some Men

[From article]
political movements go in one generation from idealism to corruption. From ML King to Al Sharpton -- and it’s still called the “civil rights” movement. But Sharpton and his ilk, like Jeremiah Wright and Louis Farrakhan, do not believe in “civil rights” for everybody. They have twisted civil rights into a Civil Wrongs, bent on revenge for black slavery that ended in the United States in 1865 with Lincoln’s Emancipation Declaration. And when Islamist Boko Haram steals three hundred black children from Nigerian villages, right in front of the world media, Al Sharpton blames the Republicans.
[. . .]
When Naomi sold her soul to the oil sheikhs of Qatar, Great Mother Gaia, who knows all, officially registered feminism as a dead parrot. This time Naomi was selling out to the biggest propaganda channel in the Arab world, Al Jazeerah. No dollar figures were mentioned when Naomi sold out, but world famous radical feminists don’t come cheap.
[. . .]
So the Sheikhs have used their billions to spread hatred and war, mostly killing fellow Muslims, but also Coptic Christians, Kurds, Yazidis, and whoever they consider to be infidels or apostates. To the 80% of Sunni Muslims, all Shi’ites are apostates. To the 20% of Shi’ite Muslims, all the Sunni’s are apostates, and deserving of death. This information is presented to three-year old toddlers in Gaza and Iran, and wherever radical Islamists rule.
[. . .]
In Tehran ten years ago, a 16 year old teenage girl named Ateefah Rajabi Saaleh was sentenced to death by hanging. Her crime was to be raped. Her rapist got away scot-free, as is customary in the Islamic Republic, because Ateefah shouldn’t have been wherever she was when she was brutally attacked. When her sentence for being raped was pronounced, Ateefah took off her shoes and threw them at her judge. In response to this insult to Allah’s Justice, she was sentenced to hang until dead.
[. . .]
Well, the bloody butchers of ISIS have now confessed to all their crimes against humanity, of which they are proud.
This is a problem for Al Jazeerah’s biggest feminist star, Ms. Wolf, who has responded with paranoid conspiracy talk. ISIS murders are just staged for the social media, says Naomi.
But there’s nothing new about ISIS, as its good folks told the world this week. When ISIS butchers, rapes and kidnaps children, women, and other innocents, it does so strictly according to Islamic law (the source has been deleted from Scribd, but it’s easily available on the web).
[. . .]
And as long as the Sheiks can buy up our media companies -- we only have five major ones in the United States -- they will sell those lies to millions of airheads who should know better.
It’s not just Naomi Wolf who is directly complicit in the most massive crimes against humanity since Hitler, Stalin, Mao and Pol Pot. No, she is hardly the only one. This administration is chockfull of them.

Liberals Shun Hygiene

[From article]
the latest leftist initiative to turn us against our nature occurred in California last month, when the democratically elected hegemony banned (after first demonizing) all single-use plastic bags. That an overwhelming majority of Californians oppose the ban is beside the point. Such is the arrogance of tyrants, petite and grand.
[. . .]
The left counters, “Yes, but banning plastic bags will significantly reduce energy use and waste.” For argument's sake, let's say it's true (it isn't). It's still a non sequitur.
Banning anything will reduce energy use and another person's definition of “waste.” If we really want to reduce energy use and waste, let's ban refrigerators larger than 10 cubic feet, homes larger than 1,000 square feet, automobiles with more than 150 horsepower engines. Better yet, let's ban refrigerators, traditional stick homes, and automobiles. Bury your food, live in a mud hut, ride the horse to work. There's no limit to the ways energy use and waste can be reduced. And if you want to go all in, if you are truly serious about the cause, simply die. There's nothing more outside dying you can do to reduce energy use and waste.
Because too few Californians were stupid enough to fall for sophistry, sophistry was legislated from above.
Of course, an intellectual movement favoring filth is nothing new. Many towns and municipalities have long required their citizens to separate glass, plastic, and paper and set them aside in clearly marked bins.
[. . .]
Such is the trajectory when a country is populated by people with too much time, too little common sense, and too many governmental avenues to impose their will.

TN Grade School Teacher Hands Out Islamist Propaganda Accusing White Presidents of Racism Excluding Current One (Ahem!)

[From article]
The mother of an eight-year-old wants to know why a Tennessee school teacher gave her child a handout from the Nation of Islam that portrayed the presidents on Mount Rushmore as being racists.
[. . .]
The handout then explains that George Washington hailed from Virginia, a “prime breeder of black people.” Of Theodore Roosevelt, it was alleged he called Africans “ape-like.” There were also disparaging remarks made of Thomas Jefferson (he enslaved 200 Africans) and Abraham Lincoln.
[. . .]
“At first, she did not recall which paper it was,” she said. “Later in the day, she found the paper and told me she didn’t like what it said – and said she must have printed it by mistake.”
The teacher also told Sommer that her son was not supposed to take the Nation of Islam handout home. It was supposed to stay in the classroom. That bit of news caused her great alarm.
[. . .]
“The fact that students were cautioned against allowing their parents to see anything is deeply troubling,” West told me. “The only reasonable explanation is they don’t want parents to know what it is their children are learning.”
[. . .]
I find it hard to believe an 8-year-old boy would steal a handout from a teacher’s desk, bring it home and then concoct an elaborate tale to cover up the crime.
But let’s suspend reality for just a moment and say the little boy did take that handout. Regardless, there’s no disputing the fact that it was on the teacher’s desk.

Not Just Black Workers Harmed By White House Policies

White House policies are designed to destroy the American economy and the political system. It is not just black workers who are being harmed.

[From article]
A member of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights told President Obama Monday that the administration’s reported plan to grant work permits to millions of illegal immigrants of illegal immigrants would have a harmful effect on black American workers.
Peter Kirsanow, a Republican appointee to the panel, said in a letter to the president and to the Congressional Black Caucus that issuing millions of work permits to potentially low-wage workers “will devastate the black community.”

MA Courts Work For Child Rapists, Not So Much For College Rape

The courts seem to work for child rapists but not for rape on campus. Is there a reason why police, prosecutors and judges do not take college student rape allegations seriously? Is that the reason why the U.S. Department of Education got into the criminal justice business? Their expertise at improving the schools will be available for criminal justice now?

[From article]
A 34-year-old Pittsfield man described in federal court as a “serial child abuser of the worst sort” after videotaping his repeated rape of three girls — aged 3, 8 and 13 — was sentenced to 50 years in prison yesterday.
“I have been a judge longer than you have been alive. But for cold-blooded murder, I have never seen a case that descends to the depths of depravity that this case demonstrates,” Judge William Young said in U.S. District Court in Springfield, according to a statement released by federal prosecutors. “You are a serial child abuser of the worst sort.”
Jason Gendron — a father of three boys who worked in heating ventilation and air conditioning — had earlier pleaded guilty to 16 counts of sexual exploitation of minors by producing child pornography, and one count of possession of child pornography.
Gendron is also facing sentencing today in Berkshire Superior Court for state charges related to the 15 months of abuse he inflicted on the girls. In that court, he pleaded guilty Oct. 16 to six counts of rape and abuse of a child, and four counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14.

Charyl Attkisson Exposes White House Temper Tantrum Toward C-Span

[From article]
As Attkisson tells the story, C-SPAN eminence Brian Lamb interviewed President Obama on Aug. 12, 2010, for a documentary on the White House. In the session, Lamb asks Obama about the Oval Office: “What have you changed in this room?”
The president responds, “We have not yet redecorated this room . . . Given that we are in the midst of some very difficult economic times, we decided to hold off last year in terms of making some changes.”
Two weeks later, reports Attkisson in the book, a White House official contacts C-SPAN to say, “the Washington Post will be breaking the story of the President’s reported multi-million dollar renovation of the Oval Office,” reads “Stonewalled.” According to the author, the White House official, then-TV liaison Dag Vega, wanted to “make sure” that C-SPAN didn’t run its Obama interview snippet after the story in The Post surfaced.
[. . .]
C-SPAN blows off the White House fussiness and publishes its interview. That very night, Josh Earnest, then the White House deputy press secretary, sends a tough e-mail to C-SPAN accusing the outlet of “being egregiously unethical and of violating terms of the interview. Though there’s no evidence of the existence of any prior agreement, he continues to insist the White House would not and did not agree to an interview with the president without specifying the terms under which it would air,” writes Attkisson, adding that the White House official threatened to “withhold future access.”

Extensive Vote Fraud Exposed By Video Activist O'Keefe

[From article]
Could non-citizen voting be a problem in next week’s elections, and perhaps even swing some very close elections?
A new study by two Old Dominion University professors, based on survey data from the Cooperative Congressional Election Study, indicated that 6.4 percent of all non-citizens voted illegally in the 2008 presidential election, and 2.2 percent in the 2010 midterms. Given that 80 percent of non-citizens lean Democratic, they cite Al Franken ’s 312-vote win in the 2008 Minnesota U.S. Senate race as one likely tipped by non-citizen voting. As a senator, Franken cast the 60th vote needed to make Obamacare law.
[. . .]
North Carolina officials found at least 145 illegal aliens, still in the country thanks to the Obama administration’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, registered to vote. Hundreds of other non-citizens may be on the rolls.
[. . .]
O’Keefe had a Brazilian-born immigrant investigator pose as someone who wanted to vote but was not a citizen. Greg Amick, the campaign manager for the Democrat running for sheriff in Mecklenburg County (Charlotte), was only too happy to help.
[. . .]
The anything-goes attitude towards non-citizen voting crosses party lines. A campaign worker for the Republican running against Amick’s candidate for sheriff even called her boss before telling the O’Keefe investigator that it was for fine for non-citizens to vote:
[. . .]
In 2012, a local NBC station in Fort Myers, Fla., found that at least 100 individuals in one county had been excused from jury duty because they were not citizens but were registered to vote. Hinako Dennett, who is not a citizen, told the station that she voted “every year.”
[. . .]
An accurate assessment of the magnitude of non-citizen voting is difficult. There is no systematic check of voter-registration rolls by states to find non-citizens, and the relevant federal agencies refuse — in direct violation of federal law — to cooperate with those few state election officials who attempt to verify citizenship status.
[. . .]
In 2004, a guilty verdict in a murder trial in Maryland was jeopardized because a non-citizen was discovered on the jury, which had been drawn from local voter rolls.

Non-Citizens Are Voting
James O’Keefe documents the problem in North Carolina, where the Senate race is close.
By John Fund

Published on Oct 30, 2014
A stunning undercover video exposes a reckless disregard of election law in North Carolina. Multiple campaign operatives and workers, both democrats and republicans, encourage felony voter fraud.
A Project Veritas Action operative poses as an enthusiastic wanna-be voter, who also happens to be a non U. S. citizen. When she asks campaign managers and other campaign operatives if it is okay if she votes they all say yes, no problem.
Greg Amick, Campaign Manager for Mecklenburg County Sheriff hopeful Irwin Carmichael, says, ‘it shouldn’t be an issue at all.” Martin Kelly, the father of Superior Court Judge candidate David Kelly adds, “If they registered her, then she can’t get in trouble. All they can do is say no. They can’t do anything else.”

US Sen. Jeff Sessions Protests White House Plan to Open Immigration Flood Gates

[From article]
Senator Jeff Sessions will soon release this statement in response to a report in the Wall Street Journal that details President Obama's plans to unilaterally implement amnesty.
"The Wall Street Journal confirmed today that the President is planning to issue a massive unilateral executive amnesty after the election.
"In its report, the WSJ certifies that this executive amnesty would provide work permits for illegal immigrants—taking jobs directly from struggling Americans.
"Based on the USCIS contract bid and statements from USCIS employees, we know this executive immigration order is likely to be broader in scope than anyone has imagined.
"Earlier this week, President Obama’s former head of Homeland Security revealed that she overrode resistance from administration lawyers and law enforcement agents in implementing the President’s earlier unlawful amnesty and work authorization program for illegal immigrants 30 and under. This was an open admission by one of the most senior people in government of violating one’s oath of office in order to accomplish a nakedly political aim.
[. . .]
"The President is systemically stripping away the immigration protections to which every single American worker and their family is entitled. He doesn’t care how this impacts Americans’ jobs, wages, schools, tax bills, hospitals, police departments, or communities.

Anti Violence Activists Charged In Violent Attack

Their protocol was to stop the violence. They did not promote stopping theft. Get your priorities straight.

[From article]
Two "Stop the Violence" organizers allegedly beat one of their colleagues so severely that he vomited blood and was left unconscious in critical condition.
Nikole Ardeno and Emanuel Velez, both 30, accused their former roommate of stealing their property, and allegedly punched and kicked him in the street until he had seizures. Arrested moments later, Ardeno was still wearing the same "Stop the Violence" T-shirt she had on the night before when she coordinated a march protesting two recent shootings, Washington Police Chief Chris Luppino said.
The victim, Joshua Magraff, also is a community organizer with the anti-violence group, and shared an apartment with the suspects until recently.
[. . .]
Local "Stop the Violence" leader Suzanne Kelley said she hopes to hear from Ardeno, and insisted that "we don't promote violence at all."
"I can't believe this is going on. I don't want the community to get a negative effect from this because they back us," Kelley said.

Parents Of Student Who Had Sex With His Washington DC High School Teacher Sues Teacher

[From article]
The family of a 17-year-old D.C. high school student has filed a lawsuit for $11 million, claiming a substitute teacher maliciously made sexual contact with him earlier this month.
Symone Greene, 22, was working at Options Public Charter School in Northeast D.C. Friday, Oct. 17 when she first met the victim, a football player at the school.
The student, who is described as having a learning disability, told police he was working as an office assistant and helped Greene twice that day in her English class. The student said he flirted with Greene during class, gave her his cell phone number, then texted her, asking if she was "kinky."

Cambridge City Councilor Bullies Want Education Money For City Spending

[PR flack Kevin Casey said] "Over the past 10 years, Harvard has paid nearly $60 million in taxes to Boston and over $50 million to Cambridge in addition to the documented PILOT payments." Unfair forcing Harvard to pay any taxes at all. Operating under the Obama-Holder doctrine, Veritas College can legally ignore inconvenient laws. Stop taxing Harvard, the most moral, giving, altruistic institution in America. There is no benefit to Harvard being in Cambridge. Councilor McGovern justifies taking Harvard's money. College administrators know how to spend other people's money more appropriately than politicians.

Clearly Cambridge benefits from having Harvard, MIT, and Lesley in our city. But those universities also benefit from being here,” said Mark McGovern, a Cambridge city councilor.

Harvard University Professor Develops Ebola Test Costing Less Than $1

Jim Collins

[From article]
A Harvard researcher and his team have developed a prototype Ebola test that could detect the virus in 30 minutes and cost less than $1 to reproduce.
Jim Collins, a professor of biomedical engineering at Harvard’s Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering, said he and his team created the test in 12 hours, using just $20 of materials.
“We’re keen to see if we can move the technology out into the field to address the (Ebola) crisis,” Collins said.
The test takes molecules inside a cell drawn from a saliva or blood sample and then drops them on a pocket-sized piece of paper that contains freeze-dried biosensors — molecular switches that are activated in the presence of molecules of the Ebola virus. If, after 30 minutes, the paper turns from yellow to purple, the sample is positive for Ebola.
Collins said the team still has to ensure a low false-positive rate with the test and make it more sensitive so that it would work even with a smaller amount of viral molecules before it will be ready to be field-tested.

Police In Cologne Germany Clash With Anti Immigration and Pro Islamist Protesters

[From artcle]
The protest on Sunday was agreed with Cologne police for 1,500 marchers, however news had quickly spread about the event and an estimated 4,000 turned up to protest, alongside a 500 strong anti-fascist counter protest. Violent confrontations led to 45 injuries, 44 of them policemen, and 17 arrests. It is reported the groups threw bottles and stones, but were beaten back by officers with truncheons and pepper spray, backed up with truck-mounted water cannon.
The streets of Germany have seen regular violent confrontations over the past couple of months, as tensions arising from the establishment of an Islamic Caliphate in Iraq and Syria spillover into Europe. Clashes between the ISIS-supporting Salafist Muslims that the hooligans oppose, and ethnic Kurds who are fighting them in Iraq have proven to be exceptionally violent, with police recovering guns, cleavers, and even kebab skewers from rioters.

IRS Seizes Money Without Evidence of A Crime

Cash inventory: Jeff Hirsch, one of three brothers who own Bi-County Distributors on Long Island is still out $446,000 as the government sits on the company's cash and won't explain why

[From article]
The federal government is using a legal process called 'civil forfeiture' to seize massive amounts of money from unsuspecting Americans – without alleging that they've committed any crimes.
Laws put on the books to help the government track drug trafficking proceeds and terrorists' cash reserves are regularly contorted, according to a civil rights group, by prosecutors who see easy access to piles of cash that ultimately pays their salaries.
The financial seizures leave some honest small businessmen and women out of luck when their life savings disappear and their family trades teeter on the edge of insolvency.
In one case, the IRS took $446,000 from a mostly cash-only small business that distributes candy, snacks and cigarettes to convenience stores. Brothers Jeffrey, Richard and Mitch Hirsch lost that money two years ago when the federal government raided their bank account.
In another, the government grabbed $33,000 from Iowa restaurateur Carole Hinders, who deals only in cash. No criminal charges have been brought in either case.
[. . .]
Equally troubling, he said, is that the laundry list of federal agencies that take Americans' property on a regular basis can keep it – pocketing cash and selling other assets – in order to pay salaries and grow their budgets for the next round of seizures.
While they ultimately refer criminal cases to the U.S. Department of Justice for prosecution, forfeited assets stay with the investigating agencies.
[. . .]
In the Hirsches' case, the government never formally applied to a court for permission to take their cash. That's a clear violation of the Civil Asset Forfeiture Reform Act, the Institute for Justice says.
Congress passed that law in 2000 to curb abuses by prosecutors under forfeiture laws.
[. . .]
'The government can take this money and just sit on it, and try to force you into a settlement. Which is what they've done in this case and in others.'
In the Iowa case, the Times reported Monday that Hinders got a knock on her door last year from two federal agents who told her that her checking account had been seized.
'How can this happen?' she asked the Times. 'Who takes your money before they prove that you've done anything wrong with it?'
Hinders won't see a judge until at least May 2015, since she's not entitled to a preliminary hearing where a judge might conclude the IRS had no justification to take her earnings.
'We're just saying the government should have to show it has probable cause to hold that money,' Salzman said. 'Why not give a prompt post-seizure hearing to make sure the government doesn't have the facts wrong?'

IRS uses drug trafficking and terror laws to seize bank accounts from taxpayers without ANY proof of a crime
Agencies that seize the cash can KEEP IT to pay salaries and grow their budgets
Feds seized $446,000 from NY candy and cigarette distributor that deals mostly in cash;Iowa grandma lost $33,000 from her restaurant business
Government can take money if it thinks people are evading financial reporting laws by depositing money in specific amounts
Deposits of $10,000 or more trigger bank reporting requirements, so drug kingpins, terrorists and racketeers often limit their deposits to $9,900
Law-abiding people can have their money seized; IRS can sit on the cash and try to pressure ordinary businessmen and women into settlements

"If someone doesn’t enter voluntary quarantine and we have a reasonable concern then we will seek a quarantine order from a magistrate," Queensland Health Minister Lawrence Springborg said.

CA Mother of Four Shot Dead After Road Rage Incident

Tragic: Ms Avina (left and right), a medical receptionist who is believed to originally be from Los Angeles, and Mr Lopez have four children, the youngest of whom is just one-and-a-half years old, authorities said.

[From article]
A mother of four has been shot dead in an alleged road rage attack as her husband drove her home from a California supermarket.
Perla Avina, 30, was traveling in a black 1998 Toyota Camry with her partner, Mando Lopez, when they got into 'some type of confrontation' with another driver in East Oakland.
The unidentified motorist then allegedly fired at the vehicle, causing a bullet to pierce the windscreen on the passenger side and strike Ms Avina in the face.
As the driver sped off, Mr Lopez reportedly pulled over at the 400 block of Rossmoor Avenue in Brookfield Village neighborhood, before putting pressure on his wife's face and crying: 'Wake up!'
Meanwhile, resident Dwayne Jackson, who heard the commotion, rushed outside and dialed 911. He reportedly attempted to perform first aid on Ms Avina, but she remained unconscious.

Conflict Between State Laws and US Policy on Quarantines

Tenth Amendment applies to this issue. MA state constitution empowers the Commissioner of Health to take custody of a person who is a threat to public safety.

[From article]
Another possible constitutional objection to such measures, as Josh Blackman points out, is preemption because of a conflict with federal policy. The issue is not that state quarantine rules are tougher than the CDC suggests – federal law explicitly allows states to be tougher in this regard. Rather, it is that the quarantine of health care workers returning from West Africa conflicts with the Obama Administration’s policy of not discouraging them from going to the hot zone, as evidenced by the decision to not bar air traffic from the area.
As it happens, the Supreme Court’s discussions of the permissibility of quarantines has been mostly in the preemption contexts, going back to the landmark dormant commerce clause case, Gibbons v. Ogden in 1824. (A quarantine is by definition a prophylactic measure that applies to those who are not necessarily sick of infected.) The Court has ruled strongly against any kind of implied preemption for quarantines. Rather, it has said that unless the federal government adopts quarantine laws or regulations inconsistent with those of the states, “the laws of the state on the subject are [presumptively] valid.”

Breath Test Promising Way To Detect Illnesses

(Photo: KING)

[From article]
"I just blow the balloon, they can analyze, and come back with the answers for you," Patwardhan explained.
The machine is part of a new generation of diagnostic devices that promise to potentially sniff out all sorts of diseases, including various cancers, liver disease, kidney failure, diabetes, asthma and tuberculosis.
"Our blood goes through the lungs. Anything in the blood that is potentially volatile at body temperature, we can detect it in the breath. The limitation in the past has been because we didn't have the technology to be able to measure these things in breath because they're present in very small quantities," said Dr. Raed Dweik, Director of the Pulmonary Vascular Program at the Cleveland Clinic.
During one preliminary study at the Cleveland Clinic, a breath test was able to detect severe heart failure with one hundred percent accuracy.

Bellevue Hospital Center has been forced to transport its intensive care unit patients two blocks north to NYU Langone Medical Center, as the staff at the Bellevue ICU are consumed with Ebola care.
NYU Langone accepted two adult patients over the weekend from the Bellevue ICU, and was expecting to take two more pediatric ICU patients later Monday. The hospitals campuses are located about two blocks apart on the East Side of Manhattan.
“These recent transfers will help alleviate some of the demand on Bellevue’s critical care staff as they focus on current patient care issues,” the hospitals said in a joint statement.

Sarah Palin Responds to Insults, Ridicule

Governor Sarah Palin

Published on Oct 28, 2014
October 28th, 2014 • Governor Sarah Palin told Fox News host Stuart Varney that she has no intention of withdrawing politically, that the personal attacks she receives from "those haters out there", only serve to motivate her further.
Varney asked if the "disgraceful", "hatred level" directed at Palin over the years had "driven her out of politics for good."
"No, bless their hearts. Those haters out there, they don't understand that it invigorates me, it wants me to get out there and defend the innocent. It makes me want to work so hard for justice in this country. So hey, the more they're pouring on, the more I'm gonna bug the crap out them by being out there, with a voice, with a message, hopefully running for office again in the future too."

White House Ridicules Israeli Prime Minister Natanyahu

Benjamin Netanyahu

[From article]

A senior Obama administration official recently described the Israeli prime minister as “chickenshit,” according to Jeffrey Goldberg of The Atlantic.

The list also includes descriptions such as "recalcitrant, myopic, reactionary, obtuse, blustering, pompous, and 'Aspergery,' " according to Goldberg.

“The good thing about Netanyahu is that he’s scared to launch wars,” the official told Netanyahu, explaining the meaning behind calling the leader of an ally a “chickenshit.”

[. . .]

He’s got no guts."

The official also added that the administration believes Netanyahu to be a “coward” on the issue of Iran’s nuclear threat, no longer believing he would ever launch a preemptive strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Study Suggests Sex With More Than 21 Women Lowers Prostate Cancer Risk

[From article]
Men who had slept with more than 20 women lowered their risk of developing cancer by almost one third, and were 19 per cent less likely to develop the most aggressive form.
In contrast, men who slept with 20 men doubled their risk of developing prostate cancer compared with men who have never had sex with another man.
Researchers at the University of Montreal believe that intercourse protects men, and men who are more promiscuous have more sex than those in monogamous relationships.
However, for homosexual men the benefit is lost because of the increased risk of picking up a sexually transmitted disease, and the damage to their bodies from intercourse. However gay men with just one partner are at no greater risk.

FBI Punks Bomb Suspect With Fake News Story

[From article]
The FBI’s elaborate trickery was exposed Monday on Twitter by Christopher Soghoian — a principal technologist for the American Civil Liberties Union in Washington DC.
“In 2007, FBI sent malware via a link intended to look like a Seattle Times/AP story,” he tweeted, followed by a link to the EFF documents.
[. . .]
“The FBI impersonating the press is just as irresponsible as the CIA running fake immunization programs,” he added. “Completely unacceptable.”
[. . .]
“We are outraged that the FBI, with the apparent assistance of the U.S. Attorney’s Office, misappropriated the name of The Seattle Times to secretly install spyware on the computer of a crime suspect,” Seattle Times Editor Kathy Best told her paper. “Not only does that cross a line, it erases it.”
[. . .]
Montoya added that using a fake news story on a bogus web page is only done in the most dire of situations.
[. . .]
In order to lure the unidentified minor into their trap, FBI agents created a fabricated news story about local Thurston County bomb threats accompanied by an email link “in the style of The Seattle Times.”

Career Boston Criminal Admits Theft Of Church Funds

[From article]
A former Boston church official who claimed to be a leg-breaker for notorious mob boss James “Whitey” Bulger pleaded guilty yesterday in federal court to stealing financial assets from the Boston Society of the New Jerusalem Church.
Edward J. MacKenzie Jr., 56, pleaded guilty to 13 federal charges — including RICO conspiracy, mail fraud, wire fraud and money laundering.
[. . .]
MacKenzie admitted that his goal was to gain control of the church so that he and his co-conspirators could defraud the institution of its financial holdings. MacKenzie cost the church millions of dollars, according to authorities.
MacKenzie claimed in an autobiography that he was hired muscle for Bulger. His book, “Street Soldier: My Life as an Enforcer for Whitey Bulger and the Boston Irish Mob,” was published in 2004.

Prominent Boston Lawyer Jeffrey Denner Owes IRS $2.7M In Taxes, Penalties

Jeffrey Denner

This attorney sounds like he shares Al "The FBI Loves Me" Sharpton's attitude toward taxes. One joke is that it is better to owe it to you than to cheat you out of it. Is that what he believes?

[From article]
Famed Hub lawyer Jeffrey Denner was sued in federal civil court yesterday for failure to pay $2.7 million in taxes and penalties, dating back to 2002, according to court filings.
The complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Boston states Denner is liable for federal income tax for seven years dating back to 2002 for a total of $2.7 million.
But Denner’s tax lawyer Bill Greenberg said the lawsuit is purely an administrative tool that the Internal Revenue Service is using to keep its claim to taxes from the early 2000s, which otherwise runs out after 10 years. He said the actual amount is much less.
Greenberg said this is a debt that Denner has been working to pay down for years. He said the original bill stems from 2003, when Denner suffered an aneurysm followed by an infection and nearly died. He said Denner spent two years recovering from his illness and could not pay his taxes during that time.

Misguided U.S. Department Of Education Mandates Increasing Controls Over Human Beings, Sex, and Potential Thought Crimes

Did the DOE forget mandating collection of thought crimes, even if the thoughts were fleeting? The DOE uses taxpayer money to force local school boards to comply with their misguided mandates. Now it has gone beyond education into criminal justice. Will the ATF issue guidelines for teaching math and science in colleges?

[From article]
The amendments require universities that receive federal funding, including Harvard, to report statistics not only on crimes they investigated and prosecuted but also for crimes determined as unfounded, which universities were not previously required to report.
In addition, the changes also give more attention to stalking and dating violence by requiring reports of stalking to include information about the location where the stalking first began.

Anti Gun Missouri State Democratic Senator Arrested For Illegal Gun Possession

Missouri state Senator Jamilah Nasheed, a Democrat

Missouri state Senator Jamilah Nasheed, a Democrat who was sponsored several “anti-gun” bills in her state, was arrested Monday night during a protest outside of the Ferguson Police Department. However, it’s what police officers found on her that is raising eyebrows.
Nasheed was carrying a loaded 9mm handgun and extra rounds of ammunition, according to Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson. She also refused to take a breathalyzer test after officers determined she “smelled strongly of intoxicants,” sources told KMOV-TV.

NAACP Speaker Advocates Election Hoax

[From article]
According to a letter from a lawyer for the State of North Carolina to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), a speaker at a recent NAACP conference in North Carolina urged audience members to mislead the NAACP’s own members into believing they do not need to register to vote in advance, or that they do not need to vote at their assigned polling place. Why? The letter alleges: To create confusion and animosity during the upcoming mid-term elections in North Carolina, and to use the evidence of that confusion in the ongoing litigation between Eric Holder’s Justice Department and North Carolina and to show that North Carolina’s election integrity laws are discriminatory. From the letter:
It is also our understanding that during the [NAACP conference], Rev. Barber urged those in attendance to take unregistered voters to vote during the Early Voting period and to engage in get-out-the vote activities that included transporting registered voters to vote in precincts in which they are not assigned to vote on Election Day, or words to that effect. The stated purpose for these activities, as I understand it, was to gather evidence for and thereby enhance plaintiffs prospects of success in the litigation involving [North Carolina’s Election Integrity Laws].
[. . .]

If true, the fact that the NAACP’s leaders appear willing to risk the confusion and disenfranchisement of their own members in order to deceive a Court about common sense election integrity laws speaks volumes about the intellectual bankruptcy of the left’s arguments. The left’s weak arguments also explain why the U.S. Supreme Court, by a 7 to 2 vote, recently overruled the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals’ temporary injunction and held that North Carolina’s laws comply with federal law and should be used during the November 2014 election. The litigation between North Carolina and the DOJ is expected to proceed further in 2015.

One Doctor Saved Nigeria From Ebola Catastrophe

Dr. Stella Ameyo Adadevoh, a doctor at First Consultant Hospital

[From article]
A day after the World Health Organization declared Nigeria free of Ebola, the doctor who treated the country's first case of the deadly virus and later died from the disease herself is being hailed as a hero for helping stop the outbreak.
Dr. Stella Ameyo Adadevoh, a doctor at First Consultant Hospital, oversaw treatment of Patrick Sawyer, Nigeria's Ebola patient zero, when he arrived sick in Lagos, Nigeria's former capital and Africa's largest city, on a flight from Liberia in July.
Adadevoh fought to isolate Sawyer, a top official in the Liberian Ministry of Finance who did not take kindly to isolation and lied about his symptoms, officials said.
"Immediately, he was very aggressive," Dr. Benjamin Ohiaeri, the hospital's director, told the BBC. "He was more intent on leaving the hospital than anything else. He was screaming. He pulled his intravenous [tubes] and spilled the blood everywhere."
[. . .]
Sawyer, 40, collapsed in Lagos on July 20 after getting off a plane from Liberia. He died just five days later. Adadevo and 11 colleagues were infected with Ebola.
"She was fine all along and then suddenly it became apparent," Adadevoh's son Bankole Cardoso told the news service.
She died on Aug. 19.
"We lost some of our best staff," Ohiaeri said. "Dr. Adadevoh had been working with us for 21 years and was perhaps one of the most brilliant physicians. I worked with her. I know that she was sheer genius."
Thanks to patient isolation and aggressive contact tracing (including 18,500 visits to 894 people), Nigeria had just 20 Ebola cases, including eight deaths — a far lower death rate than the 70 percent seen elsewhere.

Israeli Hating Palestinian Kills 3-month-old Baby in Jerusalem Using His Car

Oct. 22, 2014: Israeli police officers inspect a car at the scene of an attack in Jerusalem. (AP)

[From article]
A Palestinian motorist with a history of anti-Israel violence slammed his car into a crowded train station in Jerusalem on Wednesday, killing a three-month-old baby girl and wounding eight people in what police called a terror attack.
The incident came after months of tensions between Jews and Palestinians in east Jerusalem — the section of the city claimed by the Palestinians as their future capital. The area has experienced unrest and near-daily attacks on the city's light rail by Palestinian youths since a wave of violence over the summer, capped by a 50-day war between Israel and Hamas militants in Gaza.
The car struck the train station near the national headquarters of Israel's police force. Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said the driver got out of the car and tried to flee before he was shot by a police officer.
He said footage captured by security cameras indicated the driver deliberately struck people waiting at the stop. "We look at this incident as a terrorist attack," he said. He said the area was cordoned off and forensic and bomb disposal experts were on the scene examining the car.
The footage, posted on the Ynet news site, showed the car turning out of moving traffic and heading straight into the station, accelerating while plowing through several rows of people.

Founder of Weather Channel Says Global Warming Is A Lie

Man made climate change is a myth according to Coleman, inset

[From article]
John Coleman, who co-founded the Weather Channel, shocked academics by insisting the theory of man-made climate change was no longer scientifically credible.
Instead, what 'little evidence' there is for rising global temperatures points to a 'natural phenomenon' within a developing eco-system.
In an open letter attacking the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, he wrote: "The ocean is not rising significantly.
"The polar ice is increasing, not melting away. Polar Bears are increasing in number.
"Heat waves have actually diminished, not increased. There is not an uptick in the number or strength of storms (in fact storms are diminishing).
"I have studied this topic seriously for years. It has become a political and environment agenda item, but the science is not valid."

Teacher Student Sex in DC School Recorded On Video

Symone Greene, the teacher who allegedly had sex with a 17-year-old student on her first day of school

[From article]
According to an affidavit signed Tuesday, the student first met the teacher, 22-year-old Symone Greene, on Oct. 17 while she was teaching at Options Public Charter School in D.C.
The student, a 17-year-old junior, was serving as an office assistant in her classroom.
He says he flirted with Greene and gave her his cell phone number. Shortly afterwards, he says he got a text message from her.
Though he has since erased the messages, he recalls that he asked her if she was “kinky,” and that she responded by saying “I don’t tell I show.”
Around 3:30 p.m. Oct. 17, he says he went to Greene’s classroom and they engaged in sexual acts.
He recorded the sexual encounter on his cell phone and shared the video with other members of the school’s football team.

Alabama Man Awarded $1,000 In Police Settlement; His Lawyers Get $459,000

Anthony Warren, who was beaten by the Birmingham police after a car crash had already rendered him unconscious.

[From article]
The incident gained public attention with the release of a 2008 video of police officers punching and kicking Anthony Warren as he lay on the ground after leading them on a roughly 20-minute high-speed chase.
Warren is serving a 20-year sentence for attempted murder stemming from his running over a police officer during the chase, in which he also hit a school bus and a patrol car before crashing and being ejected from his vehicle.
Under the terms of the settlement of Warren's 2009 federal suit, in which he accused five Birmingham police officers of excessive force, his attorneys will receive $100,000 for expenses and $359,000 in fees, said Michael Choy, an attorney representing the officers on behalf of the city.

GMO Labeling on Colorado and Oregon Ballots

[From article]
Oregon and Colorado on Nov. 4 will decide the fate of labeling laws for genetically modified organisms, or GMOs, the latest fronts in a battle over packaging. Measure 92 in Oregon and Proposition 105 in Colorado call for labeling food so that purchasers know whether they are buying products that contain materials that have been genetically engineered or modified.
The states could become the first to pass such a referendum; Washington and California rejected similar measures after expensive campaigns in 2013 and 2012, respectively. Vermont approved such labeling through the legislative process, but the issue is still being fought in the courts.
[. . .]
In Colorado, the supporters of the labeling campaign are heavily outweighed by their opponents: $700,000 to an estimated $12 million, Cooper said.
“It’s definitely a David-versus-Goliath thing,” Cooper said, adding he was proud of the grass-roots support his side had marshaled.
[. . .]
In Oregon, the battle has become the costliest over a ballot measure in the state’s history.
As of the weekend, the two sides have raised $16.7 million, the Portland Tribune reported.
Monsanto has donated more than $4 million to defeat Measure 92, it was reported.

Killer of TV Producer's Cousin Sentenced to 50 Years in Prison

Lourdes Guillen, Producer of TV Show The View

[From article]
A TV production assistant who was shot in the chest by a violent crack-dealing thug asked a Brooklyn judge to throw the book at her shooter Wednesday – and the judge complied by putting the ex-con behind bars for 50 years.
“I begged him to stop and he looked into my eyes and shot me anyway,”
Lourdes Guillen, 27, who worked for “The View” when she was shot and got on-air “Get Well” shout-outs from Barbara Walters, said in a statement.
[. . .]
Brown, 30, was convicted earlier this month of putting two bullets into Guillen’s cousin Juan Medina and then heartlessly blasting Guillen as she pleaded for him to spare Medina’s life outside a Bushwick bodega in April 2012.
Guillen tearfully testified at trial Brown had become enraged because he thought bodega workers were too slow and then tried to pick a fight with her cousin before she hugged him to dispel any beef – but that after Brown left he quickly returned and opened fire.

Seems like these men attract women who love money.

[From article]
Billionaire George Soros’ eldest son, Robert, is going through an increasingly messy divorce after he cheated on his wife, Melissa Robin Schiff, with model and “naked artist” Meredith Ostrom.
Robert, deputy chairman and president of the $28 billion Soros Fund Management, filed for divorce from his wife of 22 years in Manhattan Supreme Court in May.
But sources tell us that Schiff is arguing their prenup is “ambiguous” in order to go after potentially billions of dollars of Robert’s personal wealth.
One source told Page Six: “One of the reasons Robert filed for divorce was that he was already seeing Meredith well before their marriage ended.
“The current battle is over their old and archaic prenup. Many of the provisions in it appear to be ambiguous. Melissa believes she can go after a large portion of his wealth, which could extend to billions of dollars.”

Secret Service Agents Pulled From White House For Personal Favor

This is an example of how the favor bank works. In addition many public officials can be hired to perform their duties on behalf of the employers. Local, or campus police will arrest a citizen if they are paid to do so, e.g. Then they just lie about why on their official report. The same pattern can be seen but seldom proved at state and federal levels too.

[From article]
A new government investigation questions a bizarre Secret Service mission that pulled agents from their assignment near the White House and sent them to the rural Maryland home of a headquarters employee embroiled in a personal dispute with a neighbor.
The report by the Homeland Security Department’s inspector general calls the conduct “problematic” and says the employee’s friendship with high-level Secret Service officials creates the appearance it was motivated by personal relations “rather than furthering official government functions.”
[. . .]
local police arrested the neighbor, and the employee, identified by the Post as Lisa Chopey, sought a protective order. But it didn’t stop there. She told investigators that Keith Prewitt, then the deputy director of the Secret Service, was a family friend. And when he heard her story, Prewitt told A.T. Smith, then the assistant director for investigations, that the Secret Service should do something to help her out.
Smith directed one of his managers to have agents drive out to Chopey’s home in La Plata, Md., to check on her. The report says Sullivan, the agency director who has since retired, was made aware of that decision.
[. . .]
“It shows how problematic the Secret Service is, top to bottom,” [U.S. Rep. Jason] Chaffetz [R-UT] said. “This is inexcusable.”

San Francisco Tour Guide In Chinatown Expresses Hatred For Chinese

[From article]
The video, posted on YouTube Tuesday by a German tourist, shows the unnamed guide ripping into Chinatown, named by the American Planning Association as one of America's top "Great Neighborhoods" in 2013.
The woman, who says she is originally from Los Angeles, shouts through a microphone to the tourists, saying things like, “f**k Chinatown. F**k your little herb gardens. F**k your little seafood f**king markets and your turtles and your frogs. F**k your f**king ginseng. F**k your little hair salons where no one in there knows how to speak English!”
She spares nothing about the Chinese culture, from its jade that "no one wears anymore" to its crowded streets to its parades and dragons.
