Anonymous Sources?

Why are anonymous sources an issue in The Crimson but not when Bob Woodward writes books making up voices who remain anonymous? Who decides when these voices are factual? Police, relatives, neighbors and prosecutors allege mental illness which is dutifully reported by journalists. HIPAA laws prohibit revealing medical records. Why is that not an issue every day in all media? Harvard elite, the FBI, police leak information when it benefits them. Otherwise they withhold it. Harvard's PR machine is working overtime to prevent harm to holy Harvard's image from this campus shooting death.

Love Speech is Like Hate Speech

Hate speech is protected speech. The concept of free expression is to protect speech you hate not speech you love. Small intolerant minds can't comprehend this. If WTKK is all hate speech that includes Mr. Broody and Margery Eagan. "the rebbe" says "Hate speech sells." Obama (typical white person), Eric Holder (white people are cowards) and Sotomayor (Latina women are wiser than white males) sell competing brands. Corporations do not defend and support protected speech. What is it when they tell people "Our mush reduces cholesterol and will get you a date with Megan Fox?" Finucane and Globe's staff mislead readers. Jay objects to illegal aliens, not Mexicans. Liberals make no distinction due to foggy minds focused on undermining rule of law. Obama says he supports that but he appoints tax cheats and Eric Holder who shows his animosity to law. Obama's supporters showed their love speech for George Bush for 8 years. Obama deserves at least as much in return.

Cambridge Manager Overstays His Welcome

Cambridge Manager Overstays His Welcome

The Manager's financial wizardry is smoke and mirrors. He switches accounts making it impossible to know what money goes where. City Councilors are spineless. Voters are clueless. Legally the Council can fire the City Manager but Healy holds power over the council, opposite of Plan E intents. Healy grants special privileges to Harvard allowing campus cops exclusive jurisdiction on their property. Lax enforcement by campus cops may be reason for recent shooting death on campus. The AG of NY investigates all three rating agencies (which gave Triple A status to worthless credit default swaps) making the City's bond rating questionable. Special "Protections" For a Marginalized Majority?

The Domineering Equality Right

Maggie Gallagher explains that same sex marriage proponents demand that religious rights be subservient to their equality rights. She reports that in England the government is already violating religious rights and that it may happen here too. She says that Libertarians do not recognize the dangers because their abilities to fight for their own rights may be denied by the same government actions. What she does not discuss is why persons with disabilities do not enjoy the same equal rights as homosexuals, women and African Americans. I suggest it is because the politicians and judges respond only to wealthy and powerful interest groups.

Myopia, But No Empathy Here

Margery Eagan laments lack of empathy for women while showing her animosity toward white males, "It’s been such fun watching the right-wing white boys sputtering"

Then she mocks them some more saying, "'If you listened to conservative talk radio today, they just nominated Karl Marx to the Supreme Court. (And) she’s a racist,' said Bill O’Reilly." But Stanislav Mishin, columnist for Pravda said, "It must be said that, like the breaking of a great dam, the American descent into Marxism is happening with breathtaking speed, against a backdrop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people." (Editorial, "Uncle Sam, Incorporated," New York Post, May 28, 2009, Page 28) Who do you believe?

Eagan stretches the facts saying, "White men - unlike women and minorities - have never endured government-sanctioned racism." Oh? What about Jews, Irish, Italians and other immigrants in the late 19th and early 20th century? Eagan shows a lack of history like many younger journalists.

"Why, when a white man wins a political seat or a court appointment, it’s all about merit? But when a nonwhite wins (Obama) or gets appointed (Sotomayor), it’s all about “identity politics” and tokenism?" If it's all about identity politics, why are there no persons with disabilities? It is a matter of wealthy and powerful interest groups: i.e., women, homosexuals, African Americans and illegal aliens.

Eagan seems to promote retaliation as government policy, when she says "legal sexism and segregation continued right through the ’70s in great part because men - white men - ran everything?"

Eagan asks, "Why was it so hard for male judges, yet easy for Ruth Bader Ginsburg, to understand the horror of a school strip search of a 13-year-old girl (a case just argued before the Supreme Court)? Because gender and perspective matter." Here's another argument for persons with disabilities. Why are there none on the US Supreme Court?

Americans are brainwashed concerning the psychiatric industry and the drug industry. Under Stalin and Hitler Russians and Germans used psychiatric hospitals to silence critics and to punish members of unpopular groups. Clueless Americans believe that American psychiatrists have had their genes cleansed of greed, mendacity and sadism. One question never asked is why do police enforce psychiatric diagnoses? Why is the notion of unlawful discrimination toward persons with disabilities not apply to persons accused of mental illness? Why are the rights of persons with disabilities never enforced or defended by the taxpayer funded attorneys? Closing this den of abuse is good news. The useful idiots who lament its closing are those who support and enjoy benefits from the abuses of vulnerable persons. [There are some humorous comments under this story.]

"Some black leaders are now questioning whether elite colleges provide enough support to urban students like Campbell as they move into a rarefied world, like Harvard. Others are defending Campbell, and still others are wondering what happened to the girl who was bound for greatness." (Tracy Jan and Keith O'Brien, "Long climb and fast fall for Harvard student," Boston Globe, June 2, 2009) Do black leaders believe that only underprivileged black youth were adopted by Harvard elites? The pattern existed for many years with poor whites ending up in similar situations like Campbell.

Affirmative action needs public scrutiny. What motivates the ruling class to adopt people from poor troubled backgrounds to raise them in society? Is it to give the appearance that it is still possible for anyone to be whatever (s)he wants to be, to counter the structured class society America has become? The United States is now like India and England.

Jobs and trust funds are passed to children even in elected politics with no reaction from journalists or the voters. Privileged youth act as if everyone has a $5 million trust fund as a cushion.

The clueless don't ask who is pulling the strings and providing access to elite private schools. Does the ruling class fear that they will be removed as the French and Russian elite were? Useful idiots are willing to be controlled by the elite ruling class puppeteers. It provides false "evidence" of an open society and the appearance of the ability to rise through it. Joseph P. Kennedy (The Elder) taught his children, "It doesn't matter what you are. What matters is what people think you are." The same applies to the perception of the nation.

The result does not change who runs the country. It is the same people who always ran it. They are pulling a few of the poor up with them as tokens to inspire the rest of the dregs to keep working to support the ruling class.

Harvard's influential PR machine actively censors this story. The Crimson and the Herald take down comments regarding the misguided faith in the integrity of the Harvard campus special cops and the Cambridge police. The Globe does not permit comments. Cambridge is a "Plan E" city run by an unelected all-powerful City Manager, who allows Harvard cops exclusive jurisdiction on their property contrary to state law. Campus cops (special state police and sworn deputies sheriff) cannot enforce City ordinances. Journalists and voters are clueless about this legal situation. Harvard Dorm Shooting Death Linked to Drugs

[A similar comment was posted under this Harvard Crimson article but it was deleted.]

Is the misguided faith in the integrity of the HUPD and the Cambridge police above questions? Cambridge is a "Plan E" city run by an unelected City Manager with all power. He is the chief law enforcement officer of the city. He allows Harvard Campus police to enjoy "exclusive jurisdiction" (a legal term) over Harvard property. That means that Harvard campus police (actually special state police officers and sworn deputies sheriff) can look the other way regarding some crimes. They can and do selectively enforce state laws. They do not have jurisdiction to enforce city ordinances. HUPD officers are responsive to requests from Harvard administrators and from Harvard faculty. This conflicts with the image of Harvard faculty, administrators and students. Nonetheless it is fact. Crimson editors and most voters are clueless about this problem. Due to lack of protection to Harvard students there was a shooting death on campus. The ultimate authority in this matter is with the City Manager. Censoring this fact does not make it less true.

More of the More Equal

Adam Reilly discusses the propriety of including a sex change operation in a news story. (ADAM REILLY. "Trans fact," Don't Quote Me, Boston Phoenix, May 20, 2009) He compares it to race and sexual orientation. Typically Reilly omits disability which always gets a negative slant unless human service corporations are exploiting the group for funding.

He quotes two transgendered advocates. One says "gender identity would be irrelevant." Why is "a history of mental illness" relevant when a person is arrested? US Rep. Delahunt once said there was "no history of mental illness" as if that would explain the crime.

Reilly's discussion refers to a criminally negligent act, texting while driving a trolley car with hundreds of passengers. Yet journalists regularly include "a history of mental illness," when a person is arrested for any crime. Their sources are never revealed. Sometimes it is from neighbors, police, prosecutors or relatives. If it comes from medical records it is a violation of state and US privacy laws. Yet it is always in the news report. If the police say it the journalists repeat it.

Why do racial, sex orientation and transgendered status get special attention from the media watcher? I spoke to Reilly and many journalists for 15 years regarding this issue. Persons with disabilities as a group is regularly maligned by journalists, police, prosecutors, and lawyers.

When journalists seek opinions from advocates for persons with disabilities, they solicit opinions from NAMI (National Alliance for the Mentally Ill). NAMI is a front organization funded by drug corporations. NAMI promotes drug treatment. They do not promote the rights. Persons with disabilities continue to be maligned by people who journalists believe are trying to help them.

Here is one more example of journalism catering to wealthy and politically connected groups that demand equality. Really vulnerable persons with no wealth or political power are ignored by the same journalism.

What Do You Mean When You Say God?

What Do You Mean When You Say God?

Kirsten Powers' review of "Fingerprints of God," by Barbara Bradley Hagerty
appeared in the New York Post, May 17, 2009, page 30. Few discussions of God define what the speakers mean by the word God. Those arguments lead nowhere.

Powers asks "Can science prove that God exists?" Depending upon the
definition of the word it can. God's existence can be proven without
much discussion. It requires defining what you mean by God. Under
Benedict Spinoza's definition, God is substance, or everything in the
universe, all that exists including man.

If you think of everything that man does not control, like weather,
gravity and other natural events, that can be defined as God. Thus
when you see gravity work that proves that God exists e.g., man does
not control gravity.

Drugs, Not Harvard is the Issue

Vennochi says, "the Harvard connection was the dominant theme at a news conference at Cambridge police headquarters." (Joan Vennochi, "Urban violence spills onto sacred turf," Boston Globe, May 21, 2009) But the deafening silence by police, politicians and Harvard administrators shows that illegal recreational drugs are tolerated in Cambridge.

Two retired cops and one correctional officer were arrested within four days in May 2009 in eastern Massachusetts alone. The southwestern US is being invaded by Mexican drug cartels. Only with the acquiescence of high ranking police and politicians can this tsunami of illegal drugs be so easily available in this country.

The same is true for Harvard administrators and Harvard students. Either the leadership of the colleges, the states and US government fear the drug dealers, are funded by the drug dealers and money launderers, or they intentionally ignore them. Else they are clueless regarding what is going on in this country. In any case the current leadership is a sad testimony to democracy.

This is a PR piece for more taxpayer funds. It is a way to keep people employed without addressing the underlying cause of youth violence. The latest figure is 40 percent of US births are to unmarried women. That is a large source of much of youth violence.

What is the Connection?

What is the connection between crime and alleged mental illness? The Post reports
(1) the "wife of a millionaire mattress king had a screaming match with her mentally disturbed son the day before she was found dead." and
(2) Eduardo "has a history of mental problems" and
(3) "authorities had him undergo a psychological evaluation [. . .] because he was 'incoherent,' a law-enforcement source said."

How does the Post know this is true? Was there a violation of the privacy laws? If not how reliable is the information? Even if reliable why is it reported? Police are the source of an alleged medical evaluation. This appears to be a violation of the HIPAA laws. Why are privacy rights of persons accused of mental illness not treated the same as say homosexuals and politicians? Is there institutionalized bigotry among journalists?

Dangerous Institutionalized Media Bias

Reporting a death in Long Island, NY the suspected son of the victim is described as having "a history of mental illness" (WFXT-TV Boston, Gene Lavanchy on Thursday morning FOX TV News), plus these two stories in Newsday.

In the first one the journalists say "Eduardo Barragan, [. . .] had a history of psychological problems." They say it was the "company" who revealed this questionable medical information protected by HIPAA laws. Lavanchy said, Police said he had a history of mental illness. The same day El Monte police are shown on WFXT-TV kicking a man in the head who was lying down after a car chase. Why is what police say reported unfiltered by the parrots in the media? Police dehumanize civilians calling them "dirt bags." How is this not worse than hate speech?

In the second story below the journalist said The victim "cared for a son afflicted with schizophrenia - the same son accused Wednesday of killing" her.

[. . .]

"Eduardo Barragan, 38, who was charged in the death of his mother, [. . .] was diagnosed with schizophrenia 19 years ago, [sister Kay Otilia] Massell said."

All three continue to broadcast a negative stereotype of persons with disabilities (persons accused of mental illness). They do not report the likelihood that psychiatric drugs may be the cause of violence. They do not report that the drug-company-friendly FDA requires a black box warning on anti depressants which may cause suicidal thoughts. They ignore the irreparable harm of stronger psychiatric drugs (see, e.g Robert Whitaker's "Mad in America."

Psychiatry: Causing or Solving Problems?

The drug industry and the psychiatric industry claim to have solutions for all problems -- drugs or therapy. They never recognize they may cause the problems. When did military operations begin having mental health clinics in battle fields? Like accountants making medical decisions at HMOs, here the military allows mental health counselors to make military decisions. Politicians are unable to accept accountability. Judges fear getting it wrong so they delegate decision-making to court psychologists and psychiatrists. These false prophets claim a moral superiority and knowledge of the future. When they are wrong there is no accountability. Here military prophets may be the cause of three deaths. But you'd never know that from the way that journalists report facts. The Conformist Party has taken control of the nation.

"It occurred to me," wrote Cerletti, "that the hogs of the slaughterhouse could furnish the most valuable material for my experiments...At this point I felt we could venture to experiment on man, and I instructed my assistants to be on the alert for the selection of a suitable subject."

On April 15, 1938, Cerletti found his man, known only by the initials S. E. The Police Commissioner of Rome found S.E. wandering, and took him to the hospital for observation. Cerletti diagnosed S.E. with a form of schizophrenia and applied the first use of ECT, using the small dose of 80 volts for 0.2 seconds. S.E. jumped, then stiffened and fell back on the bed. Then he burst into song.

"It was quite evident to all of us that we had been using a too low voltage," Cerletti wrote. He discussed the patient with his colleagues and decided to let S.E. rest before giving him another shock. The patient, who had - unbeknownst to Cerletti - been listening to the conversation said clearly in Italian "Not another one! It's deadly!" [Non una seconda! Mortifierel"]

"I confess that such explicit admonition under such circumstances, and so emphatic and commanding, coming from a person whose enigmatic jargon had until then been very difficult to understand, shook my determination to carry on with the experiment. But it was just this fear of yielding to a superstitious notion that caused me to make up my mind. The electrodes were applied again, and a 110-volt discharge was applied for 0.2 seconds." (1)

With that, electroshock therapy was born.

In an article written by Dr. Frank Ayd in 1963, Cerletti is quoted as saying "When I saw the patient's reaction, I thought to myself: This ought to be abolished! Ever since I have looked forward to the time when another treatment would replace electroshock." (2)

Suicides at Columbia University

Columbia University has a major investment in the psychiatric and drug

investigated NAMI finding that NAMI gets 56 percents of its budget
from drug companies. (Link below)

Seldom reported is that drug-company-friendly FDA requires a black box
warning on anti depressants because they may cause suicidal thoughts.

The report of "Jonathan Robert Hindenach [. . .] who reportedly suffered from mental problems, followed [a] man into an alley and stabbed him to death for no apparent reason." is used to negate the disbelief about the "senseless" Kercher killing? What is the connection between "mental problems" and crime? Was the suspect on psychiatric drugs, known to cause violent thoughts? Nadeau's bias concerning psychiatry is apparent. Is the rest of the report more objective?

ACLU Discrediting Itself

ACLU Discrediting Itself

Promoting Wendy Kaminer's new book Barney Frank says, "Standing up to your political enemies is easy, fun, and often profitable, [t]aking public issue with your friends and allies on a matter of great principle is [. . .] a far more important service to others." (HARVEY SILVERGLATE, "Sunshine on the ACLU: a mea culpa," Freedom Watch, Boston Phoenix, May 6, 2009) Few people speak publicly. Fewer speak "truth to power regardless of whose ox is gored."

Insiders revealed that Anthony Romero lives with his life partner who is a psychiatrist. These pseudo physicians are notoriously control freaks a characteristic that is contrary to the ACLU's mission.

Silverglate says, "I refused to fully join the public campaign, harboring, as I did, the illusion that quiet inside diplomacy could prevail." Isn't this the same problem faced by citizens who try to correct government abuses? If they run for office and win they become part of the problem. Only if they remain outside of the government can they have any effect. Journalists are more interested in being invited to dinner than exposing malfeasance. See how they treat Ralph Nader?

It is true that "The ACLU's current leadership has done the organization more damage than its critics ever could." They showed me they were operating off of the rails for many years.

Protected Speech

[Posted May 8, 2009 as a comment on Phoenix online. But it was deleted.]
[An edited version of this letter was published in the May 22, 2009 edition of the Boston Phoenix (see link below.]

Phoenix editors object to Jay Severin calling illegal aliens "the world's lowest of primitives." WTKK's Michelle McPhee and a great many police officers refer to criminals who are citizens as "dirt bags," and "scum bags." These are not human characteristics. Why no objection? Why is the Phoenix silent on allowing Bill Ayers an admitted bomber to speak at Brandeis? Why is his speech protected more than Severin's?

Phoenix editors say Severin's speech should be "unacceptable," while citing no standard. Calling illegal aliens "primitives" does not "deny the basic humanity of Mexicans." Severin insults illegal aliens as a special form of humans, unlike being a "dirt bag." Eric Holder insulted white Americans. Why is the Phoenix silent?

The editors affirmed "Severin's constitutional right to say what he said" suggesting that just because he can, does not mean he should say it.

The editors say, "his on-air presence does nothing to enrich or elevate public debate" with no supporting evidence. Why not compare Severin to Ayers or Rev. Jeremiah Wright?

Just because the Phoenix editors can write editorials, does not mean that they should.

[Edited version published at this link. Third letter from the top.]

[Comment posted May 9, 2009 on Phoenix online.]

Phoenix editors lament dehumanizing hate speech toward illegal aliens. Severin's comments are derogatory not dehumanizing. If dehumanizing speech is an evil to be denounced, why are the editors silent about dehumanizing speech toward persons with disabilities? Police, journalists, medical professionals, and court employees regularly dehumanize persons with disabilities calling them diseases. Why is saying a person is a "paraplegic" or a "schizophrenic" OK with the Phoenix editors? If a major concern of the Phoenix is hate speech and equal rights, why do the editors ignore widespread abuses of persons with disabilities? Is there bigotry at the Phoenix?

Scrutinize Psychiatry Not Its Victims

This article marginalizes people with disabilities. (Alissa Quart, "Listening to Madness," NEWSWEEK, May 2, 2009 (Magazine issue May 18, 2009)) Quart says, "Will Hall believes that psychiatrists are prone to making arbitrary distinctions between 'crazy' and 'healthy,' and to using medication as tranquilizers." No psychiatrist can distinguish clearly between sanity and insanity. Drugs merely inhibit offensive speech and behavior - alleged symptoms. They do not cure causes. Only psychiatrists can see mental illnesses. There are no pathologies. Police, psychiatrists, medical physicians, politicians and journalists all reinforce the "stigma attached to mental illness."

Among drug company flacks and psychiatrists "questioning the need for medication [. . .] is controversial." Among others it is common sense and good patient behavior.

Quart rewrites the Icarus myth as psychiatry. Icarus' father Daedalus counseled his son to make wings to escape from King Minos' Labyrinth prison. Icarus was carried away with his success just as politicians often are (John Edwards, Barack Obama: Come on down!). He flew too close to the sun after ignoring Daedalus' warning. Psychiatrists call that oppositional disorder a common activity of youth. The therapeutic state makes all human activity mental illness. Psychiatric poets create illnesses by consensus.

Quart distorts the nature of the "Treatment Advocacy Center." TAC promotes forced treatment and an extremely negative view of persons accused of mental illness that violates the Americans with Disabilities Act. E. Fuller Torrey is the totalitarian architect of this evil organization.

Quart quotes Peter Kramer saying, "Psychotic depression is a disease." He promotes the "widespread use of antidepressants." Even the drug-company-friendly FDA places a black box warning on anti depressants which have been shown to cause suicidal behavior in some persons. Why is that fact omitted from this report?

Why is the police power of the state used to force medical treatment? Why are police empowered to make psychiatric diagnoses on the street? Newsweek should scrutinize psychiatry and its drug company funding rather than the victims of psychiatric abuses.

Three people died after this man tried to turn himself in to the Boston FBI. James Bulger killed 19 working for John Connolly. Colleagues of Paul Rico framed four other men, Joe Salvati, Peter Limone and two others. The agent who "disconnected" the call was reprimanded. Does he have some cuplability? Knowing little about how the FBI treats persons with disabilities the disconnected call maybe was intentional. Perhaps the agent thought that Samson was mentally ill and ignored what he said. Would the Boston FBI ever do anything like that? Is the Pope German?

NAMI and Drug Companies

US Senate Probe Discovers:

Most NAMI Money is From Psychiatric Drug Industry

By MindFreedom News

NAMI has admitted to a US Senate probe that a majority of their funds
over the last five years, 56 percent on average, have been from drug
corporations. NAMI has agreed with the probe to immediately begin
quarterly postings to their web site with a list of drug company
donations and amounts.

MindFreedom obtained a letter sent last week by NAMI executive
director Michael J. Fitzpatrick to "NAMI Leaders and Members." The
letter is a response to the probe of NAMI by US Senator Charles
Grassley (R-IA) initiated on 6 April 2009.

In the 28 April letter, copied below, Mr. Fitzpatrick wrote, "As
reported to Senator Grassley, pharmaceutical companies contributed an
average of 56% of national NAMI's budget annually for the period 2005
- 2009."

Mr. Fitzpatrick passionately defends the drug company donations, but
says NAMI has a strategic plan to lower the percentage.

Commented MindFreedom director, David Oaks, "The NAMI board should
have listened to its own Consumer Council which voted for full
disclosure many years ago, but was ignored."

MindFreedom maintains a count of the number of times the NAMI web site
uses the phrase "biologically based" when referring to mental health
problems. Said Oaks, "There are as many theories about the cause of
extreme mental problems as there are colors in the rainbow.
Unfortunately, NAMI's rainbow is mainly green -- drug company money
green. Now we know why."

MindFreedom is encouraging an international "thank you" from everyone
to Senator Grassley for investigating psychiatric drug money
corruption, click here:

April 28, 2009

Dear NAMI Leaders and Members,

On April 6, 2009 Senator Charles Grassley asked NAMI national to
provide information about support it receives from pharmaceutical
companies. For the last three years, Senator Grassley has been
interested in various aspects of the pharmaceutical industry and has
made similar requests to other non-profit groups.

NAMI shares Senator Grassley's interest in transparency and has
cooperated fully with this request. Since the request was made, three
basic questions have been posed that are worth sharing and answering.

Does NAMI accept contributions from pharmaceutical companies?

Yes, we do -- and we're delighted to have this critical support for
our many programs and important work all across the country.

NAMI accepts charitable contributions from individuals, foundations
and corporations, including the pharmaceutical industry, for one
purpose -- to improve the lives of people with mental illness and
their families. These relationships are governed by NAMI's Guidelines
for Business Support Relationships, a NAMI policy originally developed
and approved by the Board of Directors in 2004. This policy ensures
that at all times NAMI will maintain an independent position on issues
affecting the welfare of people with mental illness. A copy of this
policy is available online at

As you know from our strategic plan ( ),
NAMI's goal is to reduce the percentage of our budget that is
supported by charitable donations from pharmaceutical companies.

While we deeply appreciate the support we have received, we set this
goal because we understand the value of diversifying our funding
sources -- both for fiscal stability and because we want to shed any
lingering, unfair accusations that somehow NAMI has been "bought" -- I
can assure you: nothing could be further from the truth. NAMI's
advocacy voice is loud and clear and uncompromised.

As reported to Senator Grassley, pharmaceutical companies contributed
an average of 56% of national NAMI's budget annually for the period
2005 to 2009. Many of NAMI's signature education programs, including
Family-to-Family, Peer-to-Peer, NAMI Connection, In Our Own Voice and
NAMI Basics have national corporate sponsors.

These programs are the essence of your work in your communities. They
are offered free of charge to thousands of consumers and families who
participate in them each year. Without support of these companies, we
would be hard-pressed to bring you these vital programs. Corporate
grants and charitable contributions also support the NAMI Web site,
Mental Illness Awareness Week, and other public education and advocacy

Can we see who is giving NAMI what?

Yes, you can.

NAMI National has long made public lists of major corporate and
foundation donors in our annual reports, which you can view online:
. In 2009, we have begun posting on the NAMI Web site on a quarterly
basis all foundation and corporate grants and corporate contributions
over $5,000 received by NAMI national. The first list covers January-
March 2009 and can also be viewed at

Now what?

We continue our incredibly important work together, at the national,
state and local level, on behalf of one of the most vulnerable and
discriminated against populations in our country.

NAMI has long enjoyed a great national reputation. In fact, NAMI is
one of only 248 national non-profit organizations that received the
BBB Wise Giving Alliance Charity Seal this year from the charity
monitoring organization affiliated with the Better Business Bureau.
Perhaps you saw BBB’s ad in USA Today two weeks ago which heralded
the exclusive list. NAMI also received three out of four stars from
Charity Navigator and is its number one rated mental health

Thank you for the tremendous work you do, day in and day out. If you
have any thoughts or questions, I hope you will be in touch.

Magical Negro

"Glimmers of Hope for the GOP"
By Patrick J. Buchanan
Human Events
May 5, 2009]

* * *

Co-authored by NBC's Chuck Todd, it is a grim tale of what happened to the GOP in 2008, and what the future may hold.

Pat and Chuck Todd explain well what voters were looking for in the last election but not so much why those voters believed that Obama is the man who can deliver. I suspect the reason is 'The Magical Negro'

"The magical negro (sometimes called the mystical negro or magic negro) is a supporting, often mystical stock character in fiction who, by use of special insight or powers, helps the white protagonist get out of trouble."
--did anyone not see the droves of white folks hailing the Messiah? The ones here in Boston are from the whitest areas known to man. I doubt that the majority of them ever associate with black people in their day-to-day in any meaningful way. Maybe precisely this disconnect from reality that made it so easy for them to engage in fantasy. What else, other than his color, could they possibly find so inspiring and intriguing in this underachiever, affirmative action baby nobody?

"The magical negro is typically but not always "in some way outwardly or inwardly disabled, either by discrimination, disability or social constraint," often a janitor or prisoner.[5] He has no past; he simply appears one day to help the white protagonist.[6] He sometimes fits the black stereotype, "prone to criminality and laziness."[7] To counterbalance this, he has some sort of magical power, "rather vaguely defined but not the sort of thing one typically encounters."[6] He is patient and wise, often dispensing various words of wisdom, and is "closer to the earth."[2]"
--Obama's 'former' drug use is highlighted by white leftists as if some sort of an achievement. Accusations of fraud, racism, drug use, questionable upbringing were all like putting water on a grease fire.
--Obama has none-existing past achievements. Who care? Look at him! HE IS BLACK!

"The magical negro serves as a plot device to help the protagonist get out of trouble, typically through helping the white character recognize his own faults and overcome them."
-- Whites are in financial trouble and Obama, the person involved in so many crooked deals and who demonstrated complete lack of knowledge about economics, will fix it all because he is black.

Make no mistake about it. Obama's presidential campaign started when the Magical Negro archetype was introduced in contemporary fiction, brainwashing white people, decades ago. Obama simply stepped into the role.

No History of Mental Illness?

Police and prosecutors often reveal "a history of mental illness" at arrests and arraignments. Their sources are usually suspect in view of the prohibition of the HIPAA laws. But even if their sources are legal what is the connection at arraignments? It is only to discredit the suspect and to slur all persons accused of mental illness. In this case "Police said the attacker [. . .] had no criminal record or history of mental illness." This suggests that if there were it would explain why the suspect drove his car toward the royal couple. But it does not explain why the New York Post and other media reported this fact. Perhaps it shows that journalists have a negative stereotype of persons with disabilities and discriminate toward them as they would never do toward persons of color, homosexuals and women.
