Two Springfield police “raid teams” conducted simultaneous searches Tuesday evening at the Galanis’ Los Angeles Street home, which they say was used as a “safe house,” and at a “distribution house” on Kenwood Park, according to Springfield police Sgt. John Delaney.
The searches turned up 1,584 bags of “El Chapo” heroin, $12,816 in cash, a .30-caliber fully automatic rifle, a .32-caliber revolver, a .38-caliber revolver handgun, a .40-caliber Smith & Wesson semi-automatic handgun, a .45-caliber Smith & Wesson semi-automatic handgun, a sawed-off shotgun and a .40-caliber semi-automatic handgun, Delaney said.
