Two brothers have been charged after one was in possession of a gun that accidentally fired off during their cousin's wedding reception at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel injuring four guests.
Vladimir Gotlibovsky, 42, was arrested after a preliminary investigation revealed he was in possession of a 9mm Ruger when it discharged striking the floor in the lobby of the world famous hotel in New York City, police said on Sunday.
His older brother, Felix Gotlibovsky, 51, was arrested after he hid the weapon in Vladimir Gotlibovsky's Brooklyn home, according to NY1 News. The brothers are cousins of the groom and have been charged with tampering with physical evidence.
Victim Maya Rafailovich, 55, was hit in the head and three other victims suffered from leg injuries following the Saturday night incident.
The bride became so upset during the ordeal she was in tears and all of the guests left as the wedding was shut down by hotel security, NY1 News reported.
