Here's the problem with giving government especially police any more power. The argument made by the founders of TASER Corporation is that their TASER (stun gun) is a humane alternative to deadly force. It is a rational argument. But when police, who claim to be human, get a new source of force they can use on civilians they use it whenever they get the chance. Hey, if it don't kill why not? Look at how much fun it is. But it does kill. for people, with weak cardio pulmonary systems. Beyond that potential where is the need for deadly force for a woman who acts belligerently and is accused of trespass? That is the argument against stun guns. They are one more piece of equipment that police can abuse having fun watching people twist and turn on the ground. This abuse must end.
