First day after the storm. Tuesday February 10, 2015
Harvard University property. Sidewalk is clean down to the bricks.
Until you get to the driveway at the Sackler Museum. Plows cleared the way for cars, blocking pedestrians. Priorities in America's most walkable city. Cars over pedestrians.

This tree holds up snow for aesthetic reasons.
Mounds of snow near the market and coffee shop on Broadway. Notice how clean and clear the streets are. Cambridge DPW does its usually excellent job.
But, again the plows blocked the sidewalk for pedestrians in the most walkable city. Mobility impaired persons and women with children in strollers must go out into the street.
Walkways around Cambridge Rindge and Latin (high school), are clean and clear. The school was closed.

Van backs out onto Broadway after a visit to Harvard's new art museum. The new building (completed November 2014) moved the driveway to the loading dock. It used to permit parallel to traffic entering and leaving. Now trucks must block traffic in both directions backing into the driveway, and in this case endangering traffic when the vehicle leaves.
