[From article]
British voters chose to “leave” the European Union on Thursday, defying the polls — and President Barack Obama, who had urged Britain to “remain” in the EU. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had also urged Britain to stay in the EU. Only Donald Trump had backed the campaign to leave.
Republican strategists had panned Trump’s decision to travel to the UK in the midst of campaign turmoil, and in the wake of his blistering attack on Hillary Clinton earlier this week.
Now, however, it looks like a risk that paid off handsomely, in the currency of foreign policy credibility.
[. . .]
Trump, who happens to be in Scotland to open a golf resort, promised in May that leaving the EU would not put Britain at the “back of the queue,” and said: “I think if I were from Britain I would probably want to go back to a different system.” He reiterated that support last week, telling the Sunday Times: “I would personally be more inclined to leave, for a lot of reasons like having a lot less bureaucracy. … But I am not a British citizen. This is just my opinion.”

Can People Govern Themselves? United States Experiment in Self Government Keeps Question Alive

[From article]
It has been said by some, and not entirely without reason, that the American experiment in self-governance is failing. Is it? Are we incapable of the virtues required of sovereign citizens?
The founding principle of American civics is that "we the people" govern ourselves. As self-governing citizens, we ensure that the government does not rule over us, but rather that it act under us. It is neither our parent nor our provider, but our subordinate. We call the shots. The government follows our orders. Our representatives represent us – not themselves, not their donors.
Has all that become a pipe dream?
[. . .]

Socialism is on the rise, and its roots are sinking ever deeper into the social fabric. Education, entertainment, and even religious institutions are indoctrinating our fellow citizens. There is no reasoning with socialists, because when you try to speak, they shout you down, and that in itself is the harbinger of tyranny.
As matters now stand, we are not governing ourselves. We are being ruled by a distant and largely unaccountable officialdom that operates mostly out of our view. This system is supported by a bloc of voters who are appallingly ignorant of basic civics. People who cannot raise their own children are allowed to vote, and the people for whom they vote tax you to pay for their children.
[. . .]
First, it is necessary to restore citizenship to its constitutional roots. Birthright citizenship was never the bedrock of civic entitlement, but only one of several considerations.
[. . .]
I would make at least one critical requirement for anyone to be a voter. That requirement would be that every voter must pass the same test that foreign applicants for citizenship must pass. Presently, most voters would fail that test, many of them miserably.
Citizenship founded upon basic knowledge of the Constitution would be a good start. The rest might then, hopefully, take care of itself.

Democratic Party Elitism Eliminates Power Of the People

[From article]
The great American experiment is based on the revolutionary idea that power flows from the people not the government; the rights of people granted by the Creator, not the Divine right of kings.
Lincoln encapsulated that when he said:
…government of the people, by the people, for the people…
The Constitution defines a government where the people exercise power by electing -- and getting rid of -- politicians.
[. . .]
America is no longer a country run by a government of the people. Decades of fascist maneuvering by Democrats has destroyed the representational nature of American government and disenfranchised the people.

The elimination of people power began with the Supreme Court’s acceptance of the idea of the “living” Constitution; i.e., the idea that the Constitution means whatever 5 judges thinks it means rather than what the people who wrote and ratified the Constitution thought it meant.
[. . .]
the Court imposed on America its personal morality. A court that decides what it thinks the Constitution should mean is no different in nature than a monarch such as King George III;
[. . .]
Recently the Court has solidified its power by declaring that citizens don’t have the right to sue when politicians don’t enforce the laws passed by the people directly. Seven million Californians passed Prop 8 that declared that marriage was between a man and a woman. The fascist Democrat politicians of California, including Jerry Brown, refused to defend the people’s law showing that Democrats do not believe that power flows from the people. But if the people don’t have standing to demand that the laws they pass be enforced clearly the people, in the eyes of the Supreme Court, have no power.
Similarly, Eric Holder and Obama declared themselves above the law by refusing to enforce DOMA -- and encouraging state attorneys-general to do the same. Clearly, if politicians can pick and choose which laws to follow, the people have no power, since even if they manage to get laws enacted, the people have no assurance that their “rulers” will follow those laws.
Of course, Obama’s imperial presidency and his refusal to act as though there are any Constitutional restraints on his personal power also work to remove the people from the decision-making process.
[. . .]

The final step in disenfranchising the American people and making them subjects of a new royal class composed of government bureaucrats, judges, and politicians has been the rise of what’s called administrative law; rules created by unelected government workers that Americans must follow.
In America today, if Democrats think that men accused of rape on college campuses should be denied due process they need not pass a law, rather they only need an unelected and essentially unfireable government bureaucrat to write a letter to colleges threatening to remove all federal funding unless men’s due process is removed.
[. . .]
The elimination of people power helps explains why the Democrat agenda advances despite electoral wins by Republicans. While many Republicans are in fact more interested in the donor class than the people, the reality is that under the government described by the Constitution, Democrats could not just stonewall. To advance their agenda Democrats would have to compromise.
Gridlock is the result not of partisanship but of the institutionalization of Democrat power through the Courts and administrative law -- and of course Obama’s executive orders.
[. . .]

If anyone doubts that Americans are now controlled by their masters in government, they only need look at the fact that not only do government workers have job security, something the people don’t have in the Obama economy, but that they earn 78% more, on average, than the people. Liberals claim that that’s because government jobs require more skills than private sector jobs.
[. . .]
In the Soviet Union, the nomenklatura, the ruling class, was marked by its special privileges and its higher pay, just like government employees and politicians in America today. Following the money tells us who are the rulers and who are the ruled in America today.

Shocking, Voters Want Non Career Politicians

[From article]
the punditocracy is ablaze with outrage that the voters might actually pick a candidate – in this case, Donald Trump. It doesn't matter if you're pro or contra Trump. What I find a little shocking is how the scribbler class is openly trying to knock off the most popular candidate – in much the way they sneered at Reagan (just an old B-movie actor), and, for that matter, at Lincoln (a backwoods hick). Reagan and Lincoln lacked "nuance," "gravitas," and fashionable radicalism.
[. . .]
So how does it feel to have your country overturned against your will by a trendy leftist ideologue, elected primarily for his cool factor? How do you think the Russians and Saudis feel about our hero, now that he's sabotaged every single ally and boosted every America-hating tin-pot tyrant in the world? Have we been punished enough to make up for winning the Cold War? Obama certainly wants to give us more of the same, until "justice" is finally achieved. (Which is never.)
[. . .]
conservative pundits have made up their minds – and the most popular candidate is taking friendly fire. But regular people aren't going along. That annoys the elites something awful.
[. . .]
Apparently our gurus have trouble tolerating the angst of not being in control. [. . .]
It's all very messy, and sometimes evil demagogues really rise to the top.
[. . .]
Our generation is intellectually slothful and badly impaired by drugs, alcohol, and media madness. We are easily scared by the race-baiting media. A century of degenerating public education has dumbed down the average American to unprecedented levels of political ignorance.
But now we are seeing the most dangerous times since Jozef Stalin got the Bomb. Our allies are under murderous pressure around the world – by far the worst example of that being Obama's historic capitulation to the thug regime of Qom and Tehran. This is crazy dangerous stuff. It is also very real.
We now know that our "historic" president came into office ready to surrender to the mullahs. Co-President Val Jarrett started back-channel talks with them right at the beginning – probably even before they got elected.
In the meantime, former Pacific Fleet Commander Adm. James Lyons is telling us, “The Obama administration has a strategy. It is very simple. Any thinking American should be able to grasp it. It’s anti-American, anti-Western, it’s pro-Islamic, pro-Iranian, and pro-Muslim Brotherhood.”
[. . .]
Our political class has failed again and again to face the reality of jihad – following their buddies in Europe, who just let in around 100,000 "Syrian refugees," who happen to look just like jihadis, ready to blow up Amsterdam and Berlin the first chance they get. D.C. just doesn't get that we are losing the Long Jihad War for lack of leadership. The people are ready – but we have cowardly, incompetent, and untrustworthy leaders.
[. . .]
The left has always specialized in contempt for the proles and the peasants. We see enough of that in our vulgar and hysterical media. It's beyond disgusting. Contempt for ordinary people is not in our tradition. Too many of our gurus are hothouse flowers, hired by the left to make them look balanced.

Ignoring The Will Of The People

[From article]
Despite Leftist merchants of evil using big words and arrogant condescension to convince us that morality is relative, we instinctively know some things are good and some things are bad. Equally annoying is Leftists' air of superiority -- claiming to care more than us commoners about equality, saving the planet and all life; their evil intentions hidden beneath a shroud of faux compassion.
Leftists have what I call their no-pictures-please policy.
[. . .]

Leftists send in their activist judges to overturn the will of We the People. After verbally slapping us around calling us racist, sexist, and homophobic, Leftist judges make what the people voted against into law.

Study Shows Psychiatric Drugs Destroy Human Will

Disturbingly, researchers found participants often exhibited 'a culture of hopelessness' where acceptance was dominant, which they warn can destroy an individual's will to recover.
Credit: Charlotte Spencer
More evidence that psychiatry is a method of controlling humans, not curing, not healing not freeing or empowering.

[From article]
Interviews with community members who are taking antipsychotic medication for mental health problems have added to growing concerns about how the drugs are administered, their effectiveness against placebo and the severity of their side-effects.
[. . .]
The recent research also touches on how stigma can lead individuals to 'just put up with the drugs' despite not believing they help.
While their sample size is limited, Murdoch University and the University of Queensland researchers say insight into lived experience is invaluable.
"People using antipsychotic medications experience adverse side-effects that reach into their physical, social and emotional lives, and cause a level of fear and suffering that is difficult for anyone else to fully comprehend," Murdoch Professor Paul Morrison says.

People Oppose European Elite and Their Misguided Policies

[From article]
The people of Germany, like those of many other European countries, are feeling increasingly desperate about the imposition upon them of mass immigration – an inflow that is unending and which is largely composed of Muslims who are hostile to Christianity and the indigenous culture.
Well, you might think, that is a serious situation; but fortunately Germany is a representative democracy and when citizens make their concerns known to their representatives, the government will surely take steps to help them. Not so. German Chancellor Angela Merkel used her New Year’s Eve address to vilify her fellow citizens in the Pegida movement who are protesting against the Islamisation of the West.
[. . .]
But the governments of Germany, Britain and other EU states are not simply behaving incompetently and allowing their populations to be overrun through their ineptness. On the contrary, they are actively promoting the destruction of their own societies, in the interests of globalisation and the elimination of national identities and cultures.
Merkel has mobilised all the forces at her disposal in an attempt to suppress the incipient rebellion against liberal totalitarianism.
[. . .]
A member of the innermost elite confirms the EU’s role as undermining homogeneity. Europe, formerly the most civilised entity in the world, is to be subsumed into a globalised pool of cheap labour exploited by large corporations and regulated by bureaucrats. All distinctive culture, national identity, the Judaeo-Christian ethic and everything that contributed so greatly to human civilisation are to be expunged in favour of profit for the few and state regulation for the many.
[. . .]
Such soft totalitarianism might seem less frightening than Nazism or Communism, but the end product will be in every way as nightmarish. It must be defeated. Until now, the populations of Britain, Germany and other EU states have behaved like somnambulists, passively accepting the projected New Order.

Israel's Real Crime

[From article]
Israel's crime against them is very rare, so rare it doesn't even have a name, so I will invent one: I'll call it paradigmocide, destroying the intellectual basis for cherished beliefs that are empirically wrong. One well-known incident of this crime was some four hundred years ago when Galileo committed it against the Catholic Church by producing evidence for a heliocentric solar system.
Kill a man's child, rape his wife, drown his dog; many men can forgive these offenses. Present him with evidence that his most deeply-held beliefs are wrong, and that he cannot forgive.
[. . .]
Since the Left seeks power and believes it is entitled to that power because of its superior intellect, knowledge, wisdom, and morality -- think of them as the mirror image of the Scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz
[. . .]
religious groups chose to see Israel's very existence as a sin, rather than consider that their theology might be wrong.
[. . .]
The problem starts in academia, where social scientists seek to ingratiate themselves with the Left because the Left presents itself as more intelligent and well-informed, which is how academics regard themselves,
[. . .]
And they know they're wrong, even if they won't admit it. If they thought they were right, they would make the case using reasoned arguments and supportable facts.
[. . .]
A key consideration is that if you reject the idea that self-appointed elites are entitled to rule, the only basis for legitimate power remaining is consent of the governed, a principle so central to the American creed that it appears in the Declaration of Independence. This may be why those segments of the American people who believe in this ideal, and similarly-minded people around the world, invariably support Israel. Israel is a symbol of the principle that the consent of the governed is the only legitimate basis for holding power and is thus anathema to members of elites who see themselves entitled to rule without accountability.

Return of Death Panels, Ignoring Will of People

[From article]
"The office of Rep. Earl Blumenauer, a Democrat from Oregon who supports the HHS decision, sent an e-mail apprising advocates of the new rule, yet warning them "not to broadcast this accomplishment out to any of your lists, even if they are 'supporters' -- e-mails can too easily be forwarded."
Ah, yes, the danger of public information: It might crimp the work of Sebelius.
[. . .]
The administration has progressivism's taste for rule by self-appointed experts,
[. . .]
All of this is deeply corrosive of self-government. From "We the people . . . " to "the secretary may . . . " is a triumph of bureaucracy over republicanism."
