A young woman screamed helplessly as she was set upon by a violent gang in the centre of tourist Paris today.
She was repeatedly punched and kicked in the head and upper body as around 15 mainly men surrounded her, knocking her to the ground.
The terrifying attack, which was captured on video, took place within sight of Notre Dame Cathedral, and less than half-a-mile from the Louvre museum.
Police were nowhere to be seen, as the savagery continued until the early hours of this morning, with others reporting muggings and gratuitous assaults.
Another video obtained by Mail Online shows a man who was knocked unconscious by another gang staggering away from the scene of the crime with a head wound.[. . .]
‘Gangs of youths had the freedom of the streets to attack and steal from anyone they wanted. Paris is no longer a safe tourist city – it’s like a warzone.’
It all took place during the 35th annual ‘Fete de la Musique’ (Music Party), an event that is meant to be celebration of the arts, with hundreds of thousands taking to the street.
Anne Hidalgo, the Socialist mayor of Paris, and President Francois Hollande are among those who regularly show off the event as a ‘celebration of Paris life’.
Manuel Valls, the Prime Minister, even said this year’s Party was ‘the best response to terrorism’, arguing that people should go out and enjoy themselves, in defiance of threats of violence.
But the attack on the woman – who has not been identified – paints a very different picture.
She was with a group of friends who attended a rap gig on a street close to Rue de Rivoli, the equivalent of London’s Oxford Street in Paris.


A gang of Marseille youths launched an unprovoked attack on England supporters earlier this month. A chair was thrown through the air as violence overshadow England's opening match of the Euro 2016 tournament.

A crowd of some 1,000 people congregated outside a Caribbean restaurant, where giant speakers and a small stage were set up.
But trouble started almost immediately, when a man was set upon by a gang early in the evening, and knocked unconscious.
Video shows him being helped up by other members of the crowd, before he staggers away with a head wound.
The ugly atmosphere grew, as revelers openly smoked cannabis, and drank bottles of beer from nearby supermarkets.
There is a police station close next to Les Halles shopping centre, next door to where the attacks happened, but not a single officer appeared to deal with the trouble.[. . .]
Police at the Les Halles station today said they ‘knew absolutely nothing’ about the gang attack, and urged ‘witnesses to come forward’.
The mob violence is particularly embarrassing for Mr Hollande and Ms Hidalgo, who have pledged to make Paris a safe city again, following the attack by Islamic State suicide bombers brandishing Kalashnikovs.
Many of their attacks took place in exactly the same kind of streets as where the violence happened last night and this morning.

Muslims Attack Listening Party With Pipes in Istanbul, For Serving Alcohol

A group of radical Islamists attacked a listening party in Istanbul where Radiohead was holding a listening party for fans in support of their new album.
The men reportedly stormed the record store, Velvet Indieground, in Istanbul, Turkey, and used pipes to violently beat fans running away from the venue for drinking alcohol during the holy month of Ramadan.
“Our hearts go out to those attacked tonight at Velvet IndieGround in Istanbul,” Radiohead said in a statement. “We hope that someday we will be able to look back on such acts of violent intolerance as things of the ancient past. For now, we can only offer our fans in Istanbul our love and support.”
It’s unknown how many people were injured in the uproar or the severity of their injuries.

They were determined to kill us. We were beaten by more than 20 men with pipes in their hands, beer bottles were broken on our heads. I don’t even know how we made it out. I will share the details later guys, just hoping that no one will die.”
The event was part of a global listening party in support of Radiohead’s new album, “A Moon Shaped Pool,” and included specially curated playlists, games, and limited-edition vinyls.

In a veiled reference to Trump at a recent lunch on Capitol Hill, President Obama declared he was “dismayed” at the “vulgar and divisive rhetoric” being heard on the campaign trail. “In America, there is no law that says we have to be nice to each other, or courteous, or treat each other with respect,” the president said. “But there are norms. There are customs.”
Are there? When I hear this sort of thing from Obama and his fellow leftists, what I wonder is: Have they not listened to themselves for the past 50 years? Do they really have no idea how vicious, how low, how cruel, and how dishonest their attacks on the Right have been?
No, they haven’t; and, no, they don’t. The Democrat-monopolized media, which explodes with rage at any minor unmannerliness on the right, falls so silent at the Left’s almost ceaseless acrimony that leftists are never forced to confront what despicable little Trumps they often are.
It begins with the Democratic leadership. Last August, principled Republicans opposed Obama’s foolish nuclear deal with Iran. Obama’s response? He compared them to terrorists. “Those hard-liners chanting ‘Death to America,’” he said. “They’re making common cause with the Republican caucus.” And yet “there are norms. There are customs.”

With the help of the media, leftists have even managed to bake their rudeness into the language itself, redefining standard behavior with offensive phrases. They use “objectification of women” to describe men’s normal sexual yearnings; “racial profiling” to describe street-smart police work that protects citizens of every color; and “climate deniers” (ala “Holocaust deniers,” for God’s sake) to describe those who call baloney on one of the great scams of our generation.
These off-handed insults have a purpose and a rationale. The mental tyranny that goes by the name of political correctness wrongly assumes that the human heart is infinitely malleable and that words can endlessly reshape the reality of its experience. Force people to declare that all cultures are morally equal, and morally equal those cultures will become; demand we pretend that gender differences are a myth, and gender differences will disappear; shame us out of noticing the color of a criminal’s skin, and crime statistics will lose their power.

It is in seeking these transformations that the Left has felt blithely justified in sneering at opposing opinions it deems racist, sexist, or otherwise hateful. But it just doesn’t work. The eyes see what they see; the heart knows what it knows. Bottle up the human experience in silence, and it will ultimately break forth in rage. Thus, the result of these last 50 years of ceaseless left-wing incivility has been not a rainbow-striped paradise of social justice, but the utter collapse of our civic dialogue as the Right now responds with vulgar cruelty of its own. “Those to whom evil is done,” as the poet Auden wrote, “do evil in return.”
You might say to me, as my mother used to say, “Two wrongs don’t make a right.” But I say to you, as I used to say to my mother, “They started it.”

“It’s not the crime statistics that are causing the fear, it’s the perception of being attacked by a razor blade or a knife,” said Joseph Giacalone, a professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a retired NYPD detective.
Cops are battling an 18 percent spike in knife assaults this year, and police sources and criminologists are blaming copycats, gang initiations and hordes of mentally ill homeless people.

A man was slashed across the face by a beggar inside a lower Manhattan train station Friday morning, police said.
The victim told cops that as he was standing on the subway platform at the Chambers Street station on the A line at around 5:10 a.m., a man approached him and asked him for money, police said.
When the victim refused, the man slashed him across the face.
The injured man then left the train station and called 911 from his place of work, cops said.
He suffered a minor cut to his face and refused medical aid on the scene.
The suspect, who police described as 5-foot-8 wearing a black shirt and blue jeans, is still at large.

In Monterrey, the industrial city in the north, two cartels settled accounts in a casino killing 50 innocent people enjoying a night out. Who would have believed that a couple of gangs would do that in a place full of innocent people? They don't fear the authorities!
In Acapulco, they've taken their violence to the beach in front of stunned tourists.

We’re setting the record straight about our Garland free speech event – and telling the truth about the war on free speech.

It was a day that changed America. And now we’re making a movie to tell the truth about what happened on that day, and why. Hollywood will never tell this story. The media will never tell this story. Our public schools and universities will never teach our children what happened. The truth must be told.

One of the plotters of the attack on our free speech event in Garland, Texas last May is on trial now – and a great deal that wasn’t previously known about the attack is coming out.

The media is still not telling the American people the whole story. They’re still reporting that it was our fault that devout Muslims “with Islamic flags and semi-automatic weapons” tried to slaughter hundreds of people standing up for the First Amendment in Texas at our free speech event. By doing this, the media has given its approval to the death penalty for blasphemy under Islamic law.



The fact is — at Garland, in defense of freedom, we saved lives.
— This jihad cell was planning a Super Bowl bomb plot two years ago.
— This jihad cell had been going to remote areas in the city for target practice early in 2014.
— They began conspiring with ISIS in June 2014 (the Garland attack took place in May 2015).
— One of the members of the trio exchanged more than 100 messages through social media with an overseas terrorist in the days leading up to the attack in Garland, according to FBI Director James Comey.
— “I believe the shooters were motivated by what they thought was the Islamic State, but I’m not sure they were directed by the Islamic State.” What’s the difference? The were conspiring with ISIS regularly days before the attack.
— Abdul Malik Abdul Kareem accessed an Islamic State database of U.S. military service members’ home addresses.

The bottom line is that these devout savages meant to carry out an unspeakable act of jihad.

We are determined to stand for free speech and show that at least some Americans were not ever going to give in to the violent threats Islamic jihadists have issued against those who draw cartoons of Muhammad. Giving in to a bully only encourages more bullying. I made a stand for free speech, and the jihadis failed to stop me.

What was truly shocking, however, was what happened next. Even as I received a death fatwa from ISIS, instead of standing with me for the freedom of speech, the mainstream media and even many towering figures on the right lined up to denounce me. It was no surprise that the likes of Alisyn Camerota of CNN would spar with me in a contentious interview over the propriety of not kowtowing to Sharia blasphemy laws, as she would have me do. It was more surprising that Bill O’Reilly would denounce my event, and even more so that Laura Ingraham would do so. Most surprisingly of all, Donald Trump crudely and rudely censured me for daring to draw Muhammad. All these and other supposed stalwarts of the right showed that they had no idea how seriously free speech is imperiled, and how crucial it is that we stand and defend it now.



My event was smeared as “needlessly provocative,” and I was accused of grandstanding and even inviting the jihad attack. It was the jihadis, not I, who made the cartoons a flash point. If we surrender on that point and stop drawing Muhammad, we’ve established a precedent of surrendering to violent Sharia enforcement, and once established, we will be made to reinforce it again and again.

It’s time to set the record straight: I’ve begun preparing a new documentary on the Garland attacks – a follow-up to my acclaimed 2011 documentary, The Ground Zero Mosque: The Second Wave of the 9/11 Attacks.

This much-needed new documentary won’t just give you the inside story of what happened in Garland and why. It will lay out the full and appalling details of the all-out assault on the freedom of speech that is taking place today – and why this may be the most crucial battleground today in the war for the survival of the United States of America as a free republic.

This documentary will feature new and exclusive interviews with me, Dutch freedom fighter Geert Wilders, who was the keynote speaker at the Garland event, and Muhammad cartoon contest winner Bosch Fawstin. These will reveal events at Garland and its aftermath that have never before been revealed to the public.

The movie will also be packed with seldom-seen news footage and revealing details not only of the Garland event and the jihad killers who wanted to wage jihad there, but also of the many other battlegrounds in the war for free speech that led up to the Garland attack, including the death fatwa issued in 1989 by the Islamic Republic of Iran against Salman Rushdie for his supposed blasphemy inThe Satanic Verses; the assassination of Theo Van Gogh by a Muslim on an Amsterdam street in November 2004 for his alleged blasphemy; the Dutch newspaper Jyllands Posten’s cartoons of Muhammad, published in September 2005, which touched off international riots and killings by Muslims – and most disturbing of all, calls in the West for restrictions on the freedom of speech; the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s years-long struggle at the UN to compel the West to criminalize “incitement to religious hatred” (a euphemism for criticism of Islam); and the U.S. under Obama signing on to UNCHR Resolution 16/18, which calls on member states to work to restrict incitement to religious hatred.



We’ll cover lesser-known skirmishes in the war against free speech as well, such as Seattle cartoonist Molly Norris’ “Everybody Draw Muhammad Day” in 2010, after which Norris was forced to go into hiding and change her identity after threats. And we’ll trace out what immediately led up to my Garland event – most notably, the January 2015 massacre of Muhammad cartoonists at the offices of the Charlie Hebdo satirical magazine in Paris and the subsequent “Stand with the Prophet” event in Garland, at which Muslim groups gathered in the wake of that massacre not to defend free speech, but to complain about “Islamophobia,” while I led AFDI members and supporters in a protest outside.

It was at that AFDI protest in Garland that I conceived the idea of holding the Muhammad Art Exhibit and Cartoon Contest in the same venue: to show that there were some people who would not submit to (and thereby encourage) violent intimidation and voluntarily accept Sharia blasphemy laws. This film will set all that out, and will also include footage from the event itself, including remarks from me, Wilders, and Fawstin.

Above all, We’ll set out the media firestorm that followed, as well as the attempts to kill me, and explain why the event’s detractors were all missing the point: the freedom of speech doesn’t apply only if you like the message; it applies to everyone. And if it is gone, so is a free society.

Another Woman Slashed Across Face

A young woman was sliced across the face in the early morning attack Friday that left her with a 6-inch wound — becoming the latest in a spate of terrifying slashings across the city.
“It all happened very quickly,” said the victim, Paula, 20, who was cut across the left cheek at 12:15 a.m. in the Bronx. “I was terrified, very frantic, hysterical. I had blood all over me. I thought it was because he kicked me in the face.”
The pretty brunette had just gotten off the No. 2 train and was talking to a pal on the phone on her way home when she was attacked from behind on Holland Avenue near Morris Park Avenue.
“All of a sudden, I feel a presence behind me, so I turn to look and he grabbed my phone and my first instinct was to grasp on tighter to the phone,” she recalled. “I think he took that as me trying to fight back. I didn’t really see what he cut me with, he just slashed my cheek.”
The suspect then shoved her to the ground and kicked her in the face before taking off in the opposite direction with her purse, said Paula, who asked that only her first name be used.

The victim, who is a psychology student, didn’t realize she had been slashed until Hernandez pointed it out, she said.
The attacker — described as a 5-foot-5 Hispanic man in his 30s wearing a beanie — fled with Paula’s ID, bank cards, $20 cash and keys. He is still in the wind.
Paula was rushed to Jacobi Hospital, where she received 26 stitches.
She issued a warning to her Facebook friends Friday.
“I am grateful to be alive and recovering. I know you all are probably aware of it but I stress you be careful walking alone in the evening especially with your belongings out,” she wrote, alongside two photos of her gruesome injuries.

Frank Henkel, Berlin's minister for internal affairs, condemned the violent acts committed by left-wing anarchists on Saturday night, the second night in a row the city has seen such violence.
Between 50 and 100 rioters stormed through the neighborhood of Neukölln in the early hours of Sunday morning, setting fire to 20 cars and throwing at least one stone at a police car. The previous night, between 20 and 40 masked rioters on bicycles burned 28 cars and smashed windows in the Kreuzberg district of Berlin.
Calling the incidents "terrorist acts," Henkel said, according to the German dpa news agency, the chaotic images showed "that with leftist anarchists only destruction follows, and that they have no respect for the property of their fellow citizens."
No arrests made
Police said there were no injuries and that no arrests were made. Henkel, however, said authorities were working to locate the perpetrators.
"We will not let left-wing mobs rule the streets," he said.
According to the German newspaper "Tagesspiegel," authorities were still not sure if there was a connection between the back-to-back incidents and a left-wing "freedom demonstration" that took place in the Friedrichshain neighborhood of Berlin on Saturday, in which some 4,000 radical leftists gathered to protest against the police.

The police source revealed: ‘In the past couple of months we have noticed a dramatic increase in street robbery. This is a new phenomenon.
Most European countries are trying to retroactively restrict immigration, but the flow of refugees is unabated, and it appears that more and more cities will suffer the fate of Gothenburg.

FBI Reports Increase in Violent Crime

Violent crime rose across in the country in the first six months of 2015 compared to the same period the year before, according to preliminary data released Tuesday by the FBI.
The statistics show a 1.7 per cent jump in the number of violent crimes reported by local law enforcement to the FBI, with increases in murder, rape, robbery and aggravated assault.
Burglary and arson crimes, however, dropped in the first six months of last year, the FBI said.[. . .]
Crime in the United States drew public attention last year as many major American cities reported spikes in the number of homicides in their communities.
The FBI statistics were pulled from 12,879 law enforcement agencies from January to June 2015.
'While the overall violent crime rates remain historically low, and it is too early to draw any long-term conclusions, the Justice Department is acutely focused on the increases being experienced in some communities of the country,' said Justice Department spokesman Patrick Rodenbush.
He said the department next month would bring together representatives from every U.S. attorney's office for training on anti-violence strategies.[. . .]
Police officials have struggled to pinpoint specific reasons for the homicide increase, and the FBI report does not offer possible explanations.
Many criminal justice experts have cautioned against making too much of the increase, given that the totals are far below where they were 20 years ago and noting that after years of drops, the numbers could not be expected to keep going down.

Minutes earlier, officials had halted the distribution of ballots and other voting materials and began recovery of those that had already gone in day rapidly spiraling out of control as two more elections council member confirmed their pending resignation, and elections offices around the country came under violent attack.
The “violent acts” and the verbal threats against elections officials, left the council known as the CEP, with no choice, Opont said as he listed more than a dozen infrastructure that had either been set on fire, or where attempts were made. Among them, he said, was the communal electoral bureau in the northern city of Limbe. It was torched Friday morning. So was the private residence of the top elections official in the nearby city of Pignon.
“Masked individuals fired upon the voting center in Savanette this morning,” he said. “In Fond Parisien, there was a group of masked, armed individuals who seized all of the sensitive materials that they had started to deliver for Sunday’s vote.”
The CEP, said Opont, could not guarantee neither the security of poll workers or the country’s 5.8 million registered voters in runoffs for six senators, 27 deputies and a president in the disputed elections.



The announcement took many by surprise. Less than 30 minutes earlier, government-backed candidate Jovenel Moïse was sitting in the restaurant of a nearby hotel giving one of many interviews scheduled for the day, a final move to win over voters following a campaign rally in the city of Ouanaminthe.

The target of fraud allegations, the disputed elections have triggered a months long crisis with the top Roman Catholic and business leaders saying the conditions did not exist for a vote.

After word spread, they cheered, and passing motorists honked their horns. Soon pandemonium broke out as police fired tear gas to disperse crowds approaching the CEP’s headquarters. Angry demonstrators threw rocks. Gunshots were fired. Cars were burned.
Denouncing the violence, Célestin, the main opposition candidate in Sunday’s election, called the cancellation “a victory for all of the democratic sector.”
“This isn’t just about me. It’s also about all the people who supported me and who fought for us to arrive here,” he told the Miami Herald.

Instead, the council announced other measures. Recognizing those “concessions,” the U.S. government earlier in the week voiced its support for the runoff. Washington, which had sent two top diplomats to try and secure Célestin’s participation, had been insistent that Sunday’s vote had to happen.

They made no mention of either Jan. 24 or Feb. 7, been insistent that Haiti maintain to avoid a transition and possible chaos. Their failure to mention the date illustrated that Martelly’s position had now become shaky and it was increasingly becoming difficult for him to maintain order in a fragile Haiti.
At the beginning of the week, protesters burned tires and cars in the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area. By Friday morning, reports trickled in that schools doubling as voting bureaus were being burned. A live news interview by the president on Thursday morning didn’t help. He attacked the opposition, accusing them of “a vast plot” to destabilize his government because they could not win elections.

Sources familiar with the talks, say the sticking point remains Feb. 7, and who would govern Haiti afterward. Martelly supporters say he should be allowed to remain in power until a new president is elected. The opposition, including a majority of senators, want him gone.
While Martelly has been insistent on his desire to leave at the end of his presidential term, he has said that he has an obligation to hand power to another elected president. This, however, has been a rare occurrence in Haiti’s turbulent history where former President René Préval became the first president in modern Haitian history to not face prison, death or exile after he transferred power to Martelly in 2011.
“It was a campaign promise. I always said even if I came into power on 14th of May, I would leave on the 7th of February,” he said. “My responsibility it to hand over the power to an elected president.”

Pamphlets being issued in Germany to Muslim male refugees that they are not to grope or fondle European women reveal the rank stupidity, ignorance, and sheer indifference of European leaders as they continue down a suicidal trajectory.
Of course these men were going to engage in rape jihad, since sexual abuse is ingrained in their religion and culture.

In 2010, Andrew C. McCarthy, in his book entitled The Grand Jihad, described rape by Muslim immigrants as the "unspoken epidemic of Western Europe." Six years later, it continues to expand and sweep across the continent. Ingrid Carlqvist documents how Sweden is now the rape capital of the West, and when "Michael Hess, a local politician from [the] Sweden Democrat Party, tried to warn his nation that 'it is deeply rooted in Islam's culture to rape and brutalize women who refuse to comply with Islamic teachings' he was charged with 'denigration of ethnic groups'" – a crime in Sweden.

According to Islamic clerics, a woman who fails to wear a headscarf is asking to be raped. Consequently, in the eyes of Muslim men, Western women are seen as "promiscuous, loose, and willing," and since no one in the Islamic community refutes this, they engage in the violence and abuse of power that rape represents. In Australia, Lebanese gangs threaten policemen's wives and girlfriends with rape. In 2006, the mufti of Australia, Sheikh Taj al-Din al Hilali, maintained that "women who do not veil themselves, and allow themselves to be 'uncovered meat,' are at fault if they are raped."
In Rotherham, England, some 1,400 British children as young as 11 were plied with drugs before being passed around and sexually abused by Muslims. As shocking as this was, it is the fifth sex abuse ring led by Muslims according to Raymond Ibrahim, who has been unremitting in his revelation of crimes committed in the name of Islam.

Jamie Glazov describes the horrible scar that myriad women now bear. Known as "smiley," whereby "one side of the face is cut up from mouth to ear, it is a war mark left by Muslim rapists as a warning to other women who don't veil themselves."

Sudan has long used rape against Christians and animists as well as against those Muslims in Darfur who were judged to be "insufficiently Islamic." In Nigeria, Boko Haram seized 300 schoolgirls in order to sell them on the open market. In Pakistan, the police do nothing as Hindu and Christian children as young as 7 years old are gang-raped and sold as prostitutes or slaves to wealthy Muslim families. From 2011 through 2014, approximately 550 Egyptian Coptic Christian girls were abducted and sexually abused by Muslim men.

Repeatedly, Muslim clerics maintain the legality of sex slavery. Sex slaves are not at all forbidden because their existence means that Muslim men will not have to "engage in forbidden sexual relations." Thus, it is perfectly fine to rape and enslave non-Muslims since they are little more than "chattels or possessions over whom [Muslims] have absolute authority." And white women are to be treated with "particular contempt."

Glazov emphasizes that "throughout the Islamic Middle East, men and women are taught to be vehemently opposed to pleasure, especially of the sexual variety. Men are raised not only forbidden to touch women, but to even look at them. Sex before marriage is not just a sin – but a criminal offence. It is punishable by a severe beating at best, and an execution at worst."

Hitchens asserted that this "is a society where rape is not a crime. It is a punishment. Women can be sentenced to be raped, by tribal and religious kangaroo courts, if even a rumor of their immodesty brings shame on their menfolk.

Paul Zanetti writes that while German chancellor Angela "Merkel was warned by everybody with any understanding of the Islamic ideology that potential disaster was only a matter of when – not if," she ignored them all. He cites a case of a 15-year-old Yazidi rape victim who recounted the following as she was raped by an Iraqi fighter.
'He kept telling me this is ibadah,' she said, using a term from Islamic scripture meaning worship.
'He said that raping me is his prayer to God.' I said to him, 'What you're doing to me is wrong, and it will not bring you closer to God.' And he said, 'No, it's allowed. It's halal.'

African Migrants In Germany Arrested After Attack on Transgendered Women

Three young men from North Africa were arrested on Saturday in the western German city of Dortmund for stoning two transgender women.
According to a report on Friday on television station SAT1.NRW, the men attacked Yasmine und Elisa, two transgender women, near the city’s main train station.
“Within seconds we were tossed around…and they took stones from a gravel bed on the corner and threw them at us,” said Elisa.
A police car appeared at the train station as the stoning attack unfolded and arrested the men.
The German media as a general rule do not disclose the last names of victims to protect their privacy. The three men are between 16 and 18 years-old and are known to the authorities from theft and assault arrests.
Dortmund police official Kim-Ben Freigang said the suspects told the police that “such persons must be stoned.”

According to Yasmine and Elisa, the three young men propositioned them, but after they realized that Yasmine and Elisa are transgender women, they attacked them with stones.

Stoning people to death is a penalty used in nine Muslim-majority countries. In November, a criminal court in Iran’s northern province of Gilan sentenced a woman to be executed by stoning for alleged complicity in the murder of her husband, Arash Babaieepour Tabrizinejad.

Lethal homophobia is widespread in the Arab world and Iran. A 2008 British Wikileaks dispatch noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran has executed “between 4,000 and 6,000 gays and lesbians” since the Islamic revolution in 1979.
Islamic State has murdered dozens of gays by tossing the men off buildings. Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Yemen and Qatar, to name just some of the most anti-gay countries, persecute LGBTs with the death penalty and imprisonment.

France's Jewish community of some 500,000 is the largest in Europe. Jewish schools and synagogues are often surrounded by soldiers in combat fatigues who patrol the streets with automatic rifles. Though Jews make up less than 1 percent of the population, French officials say more than 50 percent of all reported racist attacks in 2014 were directed against them.
Concerns about anti-Semitism in France had already been high, but 2014 saw a record number of French Jews immigrate to Israel. That figure was easily eclipsed in 2015, prompting French authorities to warn about a steeper decline and saying a future France without Jews would "no longer be France."
On Tuesday, Zvi Ammar, a Jewish community leader in Marseille, said he is asking Jews to go without skullcaps "until better days." Observant Jews wear a skullcap, or kippa in Hebrew, in a sign of reverence to a higher power above them.
Ammar's call came a day after a 15-year-old Turkish Kurd attacked and wounded a Jewish teacher on a street in Marseille — France's second-largest city — then told police after his arrest that he acted in the name of the Islamic State group.

If addressing gun violence is such an urgent priority, why have weapons convictions declined 6 percent since last year and 35 percent since peaking in 2006? Why is Obama releasing dangerous gun felons and hardcore Guantanamo Bay jihadists? Why insist on resettling Syrian refugees whom the FBI says it can’t vet and Islamic radicals intend to infiltrate?
Why does Obama sanction “sanctuary city” policies that ignore immigration laws by releasing criminal, illegal immigrants into unsuspecting populaces? Between 2010 and 2014, 121 released illegal immigrants proceeded to commit murder — that’s two souls lost per month.

Testifying before Congress about accumulating separation of powers violations — over-reaches for which the Supreme Court unanimously rebuked the White House 12 times — constitutional law professor and Obama-voter Jonathan Turley said Obama is “becoming the very danger the Constitution was designed to avoid — the concentration of power in any single branch.” Turley insists the President “can’t say the solution to gridlock is you simply have to resolve it on my terms.”
By forcing his agenda on Americans, Obama is building a Trump Tower of insecurity and distrust, an edifice Trump unapologetically promises to destroy to “make America great again.” He’s tapping into Americans’ “dissatisfaction with government,”

During this period of intense competition with online ride sharing companies taxi drivers should be more thoughtful about their actions. Previously a strong supporter of taxi industry, until one driver created a similar situation trying to provoke violence. They lost my support for evening the playing field due to poor behavior. The drivers might try respecting their clients or the industry will disappear.
