Former member of a crime family, Louis Ferrante wrote this easy to read advice tome. He quotes historical figures, prominent members of crime families and historians. He shows the similarity between emperors, CEOs, military leaders and leaders of crime families. Ferrante gives rules to live by not just for members of crime families or their associates.

He explains why you should never fail to perform on an agreement. He emphasizes the importance of never forgetting where you came from. He shows how persons from limited means are not afraid of living poor, and knowing what it was like to need. Children of successful people need to be taught how to deal with adversity. Few of them know what it is.

He says that corporate executives are greedier than gangsters. He reminds the public that crime families give people what they want, even if it is illegal. he claims that crime families are the least biased of all organizations. They are focused on making money and will work with anyone of any race, ethnicity, gender and sexual preference.
