Love Among Crime Families, Book Review
Blood of Our Fathers
by Sonny Girard
Pocket Books
1991
This novel shows that even members of organized crime fall in love with women. Girard shows the human side of crime families. he portrays government officials as obsessed with little common sense. A little too much detail in the bedroom for me. But the craftiness of the older leaders of the crime families and their ambition, appears to be an accurate description. Moreover it may be a little late but he also shows the direction that crime families are focused. It is the same path suggested in the Godfather and in the film Bugsy. They are now into legitimate businesses. He does not suggest that they area also in government offices police departments and the FBI, but that may be too much for the taxpayers and voters to bear.
