Cindy Goldman, Murder Victim

We mourn the passing of our friend, member and fellow worker, Cindy Goldman, Washington State. Cindy was a member of Kelb almost from the very beginning of our organizing into a non-profit, She was a survivor of this abuse (including possibly MK-Ultra project abuses, in childhood. We spoke of this often. Cindy was born in Chicago, Il.). Cindy was helpful, very involved, had good information and was a diligent worker, on our cause. She was funny, compassionate, had a listening sympathetic ear and was a good friend. We have spoken with detectives on this case of her death and they tell us that have her boarder, Mr. McLaughlin, in custody and he is being charged with first degree arson and second degree murder for apparently strangling Cindy, in her house on February 15, 2012. He is 22 years old, has a military background and apparently (according to Cindy's research) has some felonies on his criminal record. Cindy discussed his renting status with us. Cindy was afraid of this man. Many of us urged her to end his tenancy. We believe she was intending to do this. She never should have died. This is a horrible assault, abuse and if this man did this, pathology and forensic capabilities apparently were present, with this man living in her house. This is a very serious problem. We mourn her and work in her memory, that her life and passing have meaning. She was a valuable, honorable, decent, good person and we miss her. We will have a moment of silent in Cindy's honor and memory tonight on our Kelb Saturday Night Conference Call. We will have nurses and social workers on the call and we will discuss this horrible abuse that Cindy endured. How it impacts us and solutions for other situations, survivors may find themselves in. Please join us. This call is for us.
