Officer Shot Dead While Police Harass Harmless Civilians

If this report is true, the accused cop killer was not under surveillance. Even though there was a formal criminal charge and warrants against him. The court released him on his "own recognizance." While a veteran police officer is now dead, criminals roam freely while police resources are wasted keeping people like me under 24/7 surveillance, but also intense harassment and provocations. Who sets the priorities of local, state and often campus police resources?

[From article]
"Pride was most recently busted just last month, when authorities armed with a warrant found 10 bags of crack and pot in an apartment in Gravesend, Brooklyn, and arrested him for possession, sources said.
Two kids were in the filthy home at the time, garnering Pride an additional rap: child endangerment, the sources said.
At his Nov. 4 arraignment in Brooklyn, prosecutors set bail at $2,500, but Judge Evelyn LaPorte released him on his own recognizance, according to court records."

TRAGIC: Officer Peter Figoski, slain yesterday, had been with the NYPD for 22 years.
