Here is more evidence of insulting, irrational, illogical beliefs held and broadcast by politicians and journalists. In this case at the police did not comment on the medical records of the suspect. But journalists keep looking for an excuse contrary to law, to reveal those same medical records. The Governor of Virginia perpetuates the misguided unsubstantiated belief contrary to fact that mental illness causes violence. He promotes the business interests of the psychiatric industry and the drug companies which fund many political campaigns and the drug company puppet NAMI. Notice there is no mention of the possibility that psychiatric drugs caused this violence as it does frequently. Clueless journalists and politicians continue to mislead the public. They encourage the drug industry to force dangerous drugs on unsuspecting citizens.
[From article]
"Authorities declined to answer some questions about Ashley, including whether he had any mental health issues or was licensed to carry a handgun.
[. . .]
But [Virginia] Gov. Bob McDonnell commented "There are random acts of violence, they involve either mental health issues, or robbery, or other motivations...."
