Changing Skyline of Kendall Square

It is perplexing in extremely progressive Cambridge, loud voices oppose change. No longer a working class factory and college town, the people's republic is now an academic enclave. Like New York City rich people want to live here. They do not like having too many poor people nearby. Does Harvard University have any influence on what the city government does? With a Planning Board that approves projects, the city needs an approval board to make city-wide development plans. What role does state law play in restricting affordable housing?
