Harvard Students Want More Police, Security Over Freedom

Some of these comments show that students think Cambridge is a college campus. It has all the problems of large cities and more because Harvard attracts others to visit this city. In case some did not notice, Harvard is in the City of Cambridge, not vice versa. Individuals can no longer walk around Cambridge all hours of the night and expect to be safe. That safe city disappeared many years ago. Students believe they are as safe in the city as they are in school buildings. This is an issue of perception. The university provides shuttles for almost 24 hours of the day. Not using these vehicles is not a police problem. All street crime can be eliminated with a massive police presence which some officials want.
