Unions Need More Money To Live Better Lives

Here's one more attempt by the teachers unions to steal more taxpayer money. One would think that the mission of teachers unions is to protect the jobs of teachers and to prevent abuses of teachers. But the unions are trying to persuade taxpayers that their objective in this matter is to improve education, learning of students. That may conflict with the interests of teachers. But what is happening is one more effort to increase the membership base of the unions top increase the cash money dues paid to the unions. The unions give, invest is an appropriate word here, some of the dues as campaign contributions to politicians and make up a story that whatever they want will improve education and that it is for the children. After getting campaign money politicians are usually amenable to whatever their benefactors desire. They are willing to increase the size of the bureaucracy in the schools so that the unions can have more income to improve the standard of living of the unions leaders. It is a fast moving money laundering system. Taxpayers pay for more school bureaucracy, which pays more dues to the unions, who give more money to the politicians. And where and when does education improve?
