“He kept saying, ‘I’m going to kill her,’ then pointed the gun at the police officer,” Det. Lt. John Azzata said.
The cop fired eight times, with one bullet accidentally hitting Rebello, 21, in the head, he said.
The other seven rounds struck and killed Smith, a career criminal, ex-con and parole absconder, Azzata said.

Here's another young man with a lengthy arrest record, in violation of his parole. Yet no one was watching him. No police, no campus cops, no crime families, no Communists, and no FBI informants. But hyper elite Cambridge MA, the alleged World Class City, host city for Harvard University, MIT and Lesley University, home to the two suspects of the Boston Marathon bombing and shooting death of an MIT officer, there are different public safety priorities. Local police, Harvard University campus cops, Communists, crime families and FBI informants, took turns over 25 years harassing, defaming, provoking, humiliating, ridiculing, threatening, intimidating, and keeping under surveillance 24/7/365 a 70-year-old white male. A man who the FBI used for 15 years to fight organized crime and did not compensate him. Instead the FBI joined in with character assassination of their own. In May 2013 the Cambridge Police Commissioner reportedly joined in with more racially motivated harassment of his own. Who sets public safety priorities for this hallowed city?

Both Smith and Andrea were felled by bullets fired by a Nassau officer, cops said.
Records show Smith, 30, was released from prison in February after serving more than 8 years in the slammer for attempted armed robbery, and cops said he quickly violated parole, prompting a warrant for his arrest.
The career criminal also served time previously for crimes including auto theft.
