Pamela Geller Showing the Disputed Advertisement

Moerdler’s rant was not about the jihad ads. No. In a vicious and disgusting tirade, Moerdler attacked our BDS ads (below) that expose his pals, wealthy Jewish donors who support Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) initiatives against Israel.
Moerdler railed against our ads exposing wealthy donors’ support of the New Israel Fund, which supports BDS organizations, shrieking about lashon hara. Actually, truth is not lashon hara, but calling me an egomaniac and a zealot is. Calling our ads “filth,” Moerdler fails to acknowledge the damage and destruction of BDS to the Jewish state. Even an Israeli court ruled that funding BDS was terrorism. Mr. Moerdler and his country club buddies are OK with that, but a “zealot” calling them out about it is “filthy.”
This is part II of Moerdler’s meltdown. After several board members stood in defense of free speech, Moerdler berated us again with his “filthy” mouth.
Moerdler uses the Holocaust and Mein Kampf as examples of why free speech should be banned, but it was because free speech was banned that totalitarianism was able to spread in Germany. If the Nazis had allowed free speech, they would never have remained in power as long as they did. His flaunting of being a Holocaust survivor was simply evil.

the decision to change MTA policy on advertising was prompted by safety concerns.
"We drew the line when we thought our customers, our employees and the public were in danger," he said. "The judge gave short shrift to those concerns."
"Under the First Amendment, the fear of such spontaneous attacks, without more, cannot override individuals' rights to freedom of expression," U.S. District Court Judge John Koeltl said of the ruling.

“Killing Jews is Worship that draws us close to Allah,” reads one such ad next to the image of a young man in a checkered headscarf. “That’s His Jihad. What’s yours?”
The poster is at the center of heated legal debate over public safety and free speech. On Tuesday, U.S. District Judge John Koeltl ruled that New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) cannot stop the controversial ad from running on scores of subway cars and buses.
The MTA has argued that the ad could incite violence against Jews, but Koeltl rejected that idea.
MTA officials “underestimate the tolerant quality of New Yorkers and overestimate the potential impact of these fleeting advertisements,” he ruled. “Moreover, there is no evidence that seeing one of these advertisements on the back of a bus would be sufficient to trigger a violent reaction. Therefore, these ads — offensive as they may be — are still entitled to First Amendment protection.”
Making the case all the stranger is that the posters are not the work of an Islamist group, but rather a pro-Israel organization.

Hamas, the group cited on the ads, has not said whether it approves of the message.
