Goldberg proposes focusing on "a statistically microscopic minority of crazy people" to prevent mass killings, identifying that as "the source of the problem: the very small minority of mentally ill people who pose a danger to themselves and others." Psychiatry is a business of social control using the police power of the state, sans Due Process. Illnesses are created by consensus. Psychiatry is not a scientific discipline. Nazi Germany and Stalin's Russia used psychiatry to silence critics, while collecting guns. Psychiatric industry has a better PR image than the NRA. Public thinks psychiatry is a helping, healing, caring profession of omniscient morally superior, godlike professionals. It is loved by politicians, and police (i.e., control freaks) as a way to control people.
