Google Boss Has No Comment on Nature of Government To Spy on Its Citizens

[From article]
"There's been spying for years, there's been surveillance for years, and so forth, I'm not going to pass judgement on that, it's the nature of our society," [Google's Eric Schmidt] said.

The Google mogul reveals his lack of understanding of the concept of individual rights and freedom. Or perhaps he does not support such ideas established and protected by the US Constitution. It is what makes the United States unique. No other country codifies individual rights. Under totalitarian leaders there are no freedoms or rights to assert against government oppression and abuses. In other democracies the government remains supreme. Only in  the United States is the government created to serve the people not for people to serve the government. Having freedom from surveillance is essential to enjoying the freedoms guaranteed by the constitution. Schmidt suggests that it is natural for government to spy on its citizens. Yes it is. It is also natural for people to rape and murder each other. But that is why we set up laws for or enforce god given laws. It is also natural for humans to be cold in winter and to need shelter in most climates. That is what houses are for. They are not natural either.

It is the nature of society to obliterate individual freedom. What a maroon.
