Facebook, Twitter Censor Conservative Writers Who Support Donald Trump

It is shameful and embarrassing but indicative of how schools, colleges, universities, law schools and journalists have failed to curb the dumbing down of American youth. The idea of free speech is to protect speech that you hate. Speech that you like needs no protection. If speech offends, the solution is more speech not less. That presupposes that speakers and offended listeners are searching for truth. Propaganda cannot withstand scrutiny. Propagandists use censorship to silence exposing their lies. No matter how many people object, if speech is legal it is protected. But under the growing misguided efforts of psychiatry to bring about the therapeutic state, snowflakes who are offended by speech can silence rational criticism and discourse. Shame on university administrators, school teachers, law schools and journalists for remaining silent.

This act of censorship by the social media giant comes on the tails of Breitbart Tech editor Milo Yiannopoulos’ short suspension from Twitter, which occured after he took to the platform with anti-Islamic remarks.

Twitter Appears To Censor Popular #GaysForTrump Hashtag

Conservative gay journalist Milo Yiannopoulos (pictured below with Anne Coulter and above with Donald Trump) is an outspoken conservative writer, who was suspended from Twitter Wednesday morning while on a tour that took him to a crowd outside the Pulse nightclub in Orlando.

[From article]
Twitter has come under fire for allegedly censoring conservative gay voices after Breitbart journalist Milo Yiannopoulos was suspended and a popular pro-Donald Trump hashtag apparently disabled from the site's auto-complete system.
Yiannopoulos, who has been particularly critical of Islam in the wake of Sunday's shooting, in which Omar Mateen killed 49 people and injured 53 more in an Orlando gay club, had his account disabled Wednesday, Heat Street reported.
That same day, Twitter apparently blocked the hashtag #GaysForTrump from appearing automatically when typing.
The account run by Yiannopoulos, who is currently on a 50-week, 60-date U.S. college tour in which he espouses anti-feminist, anti-Islam views, went down Wednesday morning, a number of users reported.
Both #FreeMilo and #FreeNero (his Twitter handle) trended as word got out, and several fans objected to what they saw as censorship for his anti-Islamic views.
User @JohnCardillo said: 'Hey progressives, a gay man was silenced by Twitter for calling out radical Islam's killing of gays. #FreeMilo #FreeNero'
Another user, @UKamboj, wrote: 'Milo, a gay journalist, defended the LGBT community and is now suspended by the homophobes at @twitter #JeSuisMilo #FreeMilo'
And @exsacerdotal complained: 'Oh dear, @Nero has been suspended because he's strayed out of the confines of the LGBT zoo.'

Controversial: Yiannopoulos is infamous for his anti-feminist and anti-Islam views.

Yiannopoulos's account was restored by midday Wednesday, but with just 10,000 of his previous crowd of 275,000 followers. His follower list was restored by 3:30pm, Heat Street said.
Although the reason for Yiannopoulos's suspension isn't known at present, one user said that it was due to a focused campaign of complaints by Arabic Twitter users.
According to @Unspectateur, 'A Muslim with 1.2M followers tweeted out a call to action which led to the temporary suspension of @Nero.'
And @Cernovich identified the same account as being the origin for 'mass spam reports' against Yiannopoulos's account. The account is in Arabic.
On Sunday he wrote an article for Breitbart titled 'The Left Chose Islam Over Gays. Now 100 People Are Dead Or Maimed In Orlando.'
In it, he asked: 'How many more innocent gays need to die before we admit that America, and the world, has an Islam problem?'
He added: 'I don’t mean a "radical Islam" problem or an "extremist Islam problem." Violence is not the extreme in Islam any more: it’s the norm.'
Yiannopoulos was notified of the suspension in an interview with The Gavin McInness Show, in which he said he wasn't surprised.

'It was probably a mass reporting,' he said. 'Arabic Twitter got hold of me today... if they mass report enough I think it triggers some kind of automatic thing.'
Yiannopoulos had previously complained loudly about Twitter removing the 'blue tick' that signifies an official, 'verified' account, Business Insider reported in January.
The day before Yiannopoulos's suspension, the social media site came under fire for apparently removing #GaysForTrump from its auto-complete function, Breitbart reported.
Ordinarily when typing out a hashtag, Twitter will provide suggestions, with the options narrowing down with each letter typed.
But typing out '#GaysF' does not provide #GaysForTrump as an option.
User @PunishedSage made the observation Tuesday, adding that #LGBTQHatesTrumpParty - a less popular tag, according to data gleaned by Breitbart - was appearing in the auto-complete form.
'Gays for Trump' is a movement started by Chris Barron, president of the now-defunct gay conservative group GOProud, CNN reported.
As of Wednesday evening, neither option appeared when typed - however, Twitter was also not offering anything for the word '#Gay' at all.

Twitter accused of censorship after it suspends account of gay conservative writer Milo Yiannopoulos for 'anti-Islam views' and blocks GaysForTrump hashtag
Milo Yiannopoulos, Breitbart Tech journalist, was suspended Wednesday
His account was later reinstated, but initially without his 275,000 followers
Some said it was censorship, but he believes it was an automated system
He said that Arabic Twitter users had flooded the site with complaints
Yiannopoulos has written about how the world has 'an Islam problem'
The hashtag #GaysForTrump was also apparently disabled on the site
It does not automatically appear when typing, unlike many other hashtags

The Women for Trump Facebook group was set up as a voice for women who “are fed up with loser politicians who won’t stand up for our freedom or for the USA.”
The WFT Facebook page currently has 27,000 followers and is one of the most popular Trump fan pages.
Today the Women for Trump Facebook page organizer received this warning from Facebook.
The message said Facebook “has received many reports from your page” and to, “Please review your posts for reasons that you have violated our terms.”
Facebook then threatens to suspend the page—
[video embedded]
This is the only post they can think of that could possibly be offensive?
And it was a video from a cable news show.
Now the page is being threatened with suspension.
UPDATE: This came from an IT professional:
I researched the suspension notice you posted an article about. This may be a spear phishing attack. The domain is registered to a proxy registration service in Panama, and leads to a server containing nothing but the attack form… I posted a warning on the Facebook page itself. This is a time sensitive matter, please contact them.
UPDATE: Brooke from Facebook wrote us with this statement.
Here is what we’re sending to media outlets who are requesting comment. Please feel free to use it in your update!
“After looking into this matter, Facebook was able to determine that the page administrator received this message as part of a phishing attempt. The message did not come from Facebook.”

Noam Chomsky Speaks At Tufts University

Dr. Noam Chomsky speaks about world conflicts at the Cohen Auditorium on Jan. 28.
Sofie Hecht / The Tufts Daily
[From article]
“Like it or not, we happen to be living at the most important moment in human history, it’s a moment when the human species is going to make a critical decision, whether to live or die,” Chomsky said. “Not literally disappear, of course, but the remnants that will remain will have few prospects of decent life.”
[. . .]
“[An article] in the current issue of the MIT technical journal estimates that here at our latitude, average climate change amounts to moving South 10 meters every day and increasing,” he said. “Its already a very likely factor in major disasters that are taking place.”
Chomsky also cited the Bulletin’s assertion that recent Russian and American nuclear weapons modernization programs are among major reasons for concern about nuclear war.
“American nuclear weapons modernization programs–for the United States, Obama’s program is about a trillion dollars,” Chomsky said. “Those who like arcane facts may recall that we have a legal obligation under the Non-Proliferation Treaty in taking good faith efforts to eliminate nuclear weapons, but we’re going in the other direction under the guidance of the Nobel Peace Laureate.”
[. . .]
Our nuclear posture remains committed to first use, even against non-nuclear states,” he said. “Strategic command, which is [being] in control of nuclear weapons [use], it says that we must, in the post Cold War period…’retain the right of first use of nuclear weapons, even against non nuclear states; we must furthermore project a persona of irrationality and vindictiveness in order to intimidate people.'”
[. . .]
Chomsky said that Europe’s migrant crisis has a lot to do with Western foreign policy, and that current debates about migrants expose hypocrisy.
“Where are these refugees coming from, they’re coming, to a substantial extent, as a result of actions that the West has carried out,” he said. “The U.S. invasion of Iraq, the worst crime of this century, surely, created maybe 2 million refugees, as well as destroying the country and inciting a sectarian conflict which is tearing the region apart.”
[. . .]
Chomsky read a 1914 quotation from Winston Churchill in order to emphasize that we cannot remain isolated from the consequences of our past actions.
“‘We have got all we want in territory, and our plan to be left in unmolested enjoyment of vast and splendid possessions mainly acquired by violence largely maintained by force often sees [sic] less reasonable to others than to us,'” he said.
[. . .]
“What’s important about the Sanders campaign is if it, starting now, not in the future, if it is organizing a continuing popular movement of young people and will go on after the election… what’s needed is continuing mass popular mobilization, [to] keep pressuring, keep working, go on from one thing to another, and I think the Sanders campaign offers the possibility of that.”

Criticism of Noam Chomsky and Media

Noam Chomsky Still Has Them Worried

[From article]
what really angers them is that there are any newspapers at all which advance positions they disagree with. This is the Gulag (or anti-freedom of speech) mentality of so many Leftists/progressives.
Noam Chomsky, for one, gives the game away when he says that “you would need a transformation of society to change the media”.
[. . .]
Chomsky himself is a critic of both the New York Times and the Guardian; both of which also belong to the evil and omnipresent MSM.
[. . .]
Thus this massive Leftist conspiracy theory about the MSM (as well as about - by inference - false consciousness) contains two mind-blowing assumptions:
i) That all non-Leftists are massively stupid and without free will.
ii) That all capitalists conspire together to bring about exactly what the Leftists say they've brought about: a society made up entirely of “sheeple” whose only concern is to consume and obey.
As you can see, the arrogance here is blatant. It's also nauseating.

Noam Chomsky Laments National, Surveillance State

[From article]
Progressive hero Noam Chomsky is terrified of the surveillance state that has developed during the tenure of President Barack Obama, calling it a grave threat to our fundamental civil liberties.
In a column published Monday, Chomsky writes that the documents revealed to the public by Edward Snowden show a system that is flagrantly violating the principles of the Constitution.
“It is of no slight import that the project is being executed in one of the freest countries in the world, and in radical violation of the U.S. Constitution’s Bill of Rights, which protects citizens from ‘unreasonable searches and seizures,’ and guarantees the privacy of their persons, houses, papers and effects,” Chomsky said.
“Much as government lawyers may try, there is no way to reconcile these principles with the assault on the population revealed in the Snowden documents.”
[. . .]
“In other ways too, the constitutional lawyer in the White House seems determined to demolish the foundations of our civil liberties. The principle of the presumption of innocence, which dates back to Magna Carta 800 years ago, has long been dismissed to oblivion.”

Evidence CIA was Watching Noam Chomsky

MIT Linguistics Professor Noam Chomsky

[From article]
Now, a public records request by Chomsky biographer Frederic Maxwell reveals a memo between the CIA and the FBI that confirms the existence of a CIA file on Chomsky.
[. . .]
What does Chomsky think? When The Cable presented him with evidence of his CIA file, the famous linguist responded with his trademark cynicism.
"Some day it will be realized that systems of power typically try to extend their power in any way they can think of," he said. When asked if he was more disturbed by intelligence overreach today (given the latest NSA leaks) or intelligence overreach in the 70s, he dismissed the question as an apples-to-oranges comparison.
"What was frightening in the ‘60s into early ‘70s was not so much spying as the domestic terror operations, COINTELPRO," he said, referring to the FBI's program to discredit and infiltrate domestic political organizations. "And also the lack of interest when they were exposed."

Noam Chomsky on Hugo Chavez

Intellectuals like to think of themselves as iconoclasts, he says. “But you take a look through history and it’s the exact opposite. The respected intellectuals are those who conform and serve power interests.”

Sports As a Diversion

This discussion sounds like it was run by the ruling class. Oh you say, Harvard educates children of the ruling class? Did anyone consider that sports is a way of keeping the herd bewildered as Noam Chomsky says? Is it pageantry to divert attention from the affairs of state where upper class elites steal taxpayer funds and keep each other in lifestyles to which they have become accustomed?
