Confessions Of Uber Drivers

[From article]
Most Uber drivers are there to take you from A to B, but for some the job is a chance to get up to mischief, it seems.
Drivers at the transport company have been sharing revelations about their jobs on the anonymous confessions app Whisper - and the stories range from the comical to the sordid.
The workers reveal they've apparently driven while high, cheated on their wives with customers and told sneaky tales to get tips.
Elicit liaisons with customers is one of the common themes.
One contributor confessed: 'My friends make fun of me for taking a condom as a "just in case". I've actually used them three times now.'
Another added: 'I drive Uber to cheat on my wife with no questions asked about my whereabouts.'
Similarly one user admitted: 'As an Uber driver I'm just waiting for those hot drunk women to come onto me.'
One revealed in graphic detail the things that go through his mind when attractive customers step inside the car.
And an additional user said: 'Don't get me wrong, I value conversations I have with my guests. But I can't stop thinking about turning off the meter and taking one of these ladies for the ride of her life.'
Furthermore one more confessed: 'I drive for Uber on the weekends. I hate the drunks but I love all the hot women dressed to the nines.'
Meanwhile, another driver spilled the beans about a sneaky technique used to get tips.
He said: 'When riders ask about me I always tell them about my son with Autism in hopes they will tip. I feel guilty but therapy costs a lot.'
More shockingly, one even confessed to driving passengers while allegedly under the influence of drugs.
They said: 'I was always high while driving for Uber. I was the best.'
Some said they were picky about the clientèle they picked up, with one confessing: 'I don't accept requests from anyone at a strip club, they are the worst passengers.'
And another said: 'I hate driving rich snobs. You are NOT better than me just because I'm driving you around.'
Some confessed to eavesdropping and said they found it hard not to laugh at back-seat chatter.
One wrote: 'The hardest part is overhearing people's conversations and trying to keep a straight face like you heard nothing at all.'

MailOnline Travel has not been able to confirm if the confessions on Whisper are genuine and has asked Uber for a response to them but has yet to receive a reply.

Two Members of New Black Panther Party Convicted of Plot to Blow Up St. Louis, MO Police Station and To Kill Officers

Brandon Orlando Baldwin, 24, left, and Olajuwon Ali Davis, 23

[From article]
Two men who met during the Ferguson protests and plotted violence against law enforcement admitted in federal court here Tuesday that they planned to blow up a police station, the top St. Louis County prosecutor and the Ferguson police chief.
Olajuwon Ali Davis, 23, and Brandon Orlando Baldwin, 24, each pleaded guilty of four explosives and gun charges that will carry seven-year prison terms when the men are sentenced Aug. 31.
[. . .]
Federal agents and police tracked them and their calls and texts for weeks, recording some of the conversations. The two discussed using Baldwin, who was then an employee of the Cabela’s store in Hazelwood, to buy guns for felons and others. Baldwin admitted that he did buy three guns, falsifying federal forms by saying that the weapons were for him.
[. . .]
Baldwin, speaking to a second informer, said he wanted to build “bombs and blow things up,” his plea says, and “hit them in places where it hurt, hit someone important.”
[. . .]
Baldwin said one target was an unidentified police headquarters, to “destroy their communications.” Also mentioned as targets were St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Robert P. McCulloch and then-Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson, the plea agreements say.
[. . .]
Law enforcement sources previously identified the Gateway Arch as a bomb target.
[. . .]
Investigators previously identified both defendants as members of the St. Louis Chapter of the New Black Panther Party. Baldwin also is known as Brandon Muhammad, according to court documents, and Davis also uses the last name Ali and goes by Brother Ali. Baldwin described himself as a field marshal for the party, his plea says. Davis said that he once carried a gun as part of a security detail for the party.
Davis spoke in October at a New Black Panther rally at the Greater St. Mark Family Church about the killing of Brown. Davis was identified that day as the Missouri chapter’s “minister of law.”

Philadelphia Man Admits Killing His Wife

Police say Christopher Murray, 48, allegedly confronted his 46-year-old wife Connie Murray in Pennypack Park Monday night when she went for a jog, then strangled her.

[From article]
Cops say Christopher Murray, 48, allegedly confronted his 46-year-old wife Monday night when she went for a jog, then strangled her. The Northeast Philadelphia mother of two was found around 6 a.m. Tuesday.
“The reality was he became a suspect early on and remained a suspect until he confessed,” said Homicide Lt. Philip Riehl. “There was a lot of good police work that went into this.”
Riehl said aspects of Christopher Murray’s story didn’t add up, which led them to bring in a state police trooper to administer a lie-detector test. He failed, then confessed.

Man Exonerated After False Confession to Murder

Barry Beach confessed to killing 17-year-old Kim Nees, a Poplar, Montana high school valedictorian who was accepted to college. She was an unusual young woman. Beach was sentenced to 100 years without possible parole. After 29 years in prison witnesses came forward to reveal the real killers. Centurion Industries, a religious mission to free wrongfully convicted prisoners worked for 7 years to free Beach. Keith Morrison hosted the two-hour broadcast "Whispers In A Small Town," on NBC's Dateline on June 10, 2012.  She was "killed because she was smart and she was going to college." It may be unknown among academic professionals, that in working class and some middle class communities being intellectually superior makes others jealous.
