Herald Sterotypes, Slanders, and Reveals Medical Records in One Story

The Herald demonizes all person with disabilities using the standard stereotyping phrase "history of mental illness." How did this brilliant reporter learn this? Did a medical professional reveal the woman's medical records contrary to state and US laws? Or is this "history" from a neighbor, a police officer or a prosecutor? Revealing medical records is standard procedure to discredit persons accused of disability. But why do journalists repeat what the privacy-law breakers say? Is this an attempt to explain why the suspect committed the alleged crime? All persons accused of mental illness are violent? Is this a fact known only to this reporter? It only serves to encourage police to abuse these persons more. Irrational reporting, stereotyping, slandering innocent persons with disabilities, and revealing medical records all in one story. What a bunch of nonsense. Was there a history of taking psychiatric drugs, which often is the cause of violence? No comment. The drug companies prefer that journalists remain ignorant of this fact so that they can continue to isolate all persons they accuse of having a disability. It is convenient when the only alleged advocate for the protection of persons with disabilities journalists seek out, NAMI, is funded by drug companies to promote more drug treatment. How many more years will the Herald print this garbage for the benefit of the drug companies?
