"Funny, but the whole issue of money up until this point has revolved around the fact that Strauss-Kahn -- ironically, a Socialist -- was staying in a $3,000-a-night suite at the Sofitel. The IMF's p.r. machine went into action by countering that he'd gotten a deal -- the suite was only $525 a night, and Strauss-Kahn paid for it himself. That's swell."
