[From article]
Brittani Bader, 22, and another girl, Kathleen Ward, 23, butted heads inside Provocateur nightclub in the Meatpacking District around 2:50 a.m. Saturday, police sources said.
Ward grabbed a wine glass and allegedly threw it at Bader, hitting her in the right temple above her eye, according to a criminal complaint.
“I had a glass thrown at me!” said Bader.
Ward was charged with felony assault, and using a weapon with intent to cause physical injury.

Where To Conceal Guns Fashionably

Event organizers of the Fashion and Firearms Concealed Carry Extravaganza in Indianapolis said the idea of the show is to make sure women have fashionable options while carrying.
(Fox 59)
Now police and muggers will know where to search.

[From article]
One attendee, Dawn Hillyer, said she purchased a gun after being chased by a stalker for six years.
Her business, Hiding Hilda, offers purses that contain special compartments for guns. Profits Hillyer makes help sponsor scholarships for law enforcement on stalker training, Fox 59 reports.
“He gets out of prison in 2017 and I’m not going to live like that again,” Hillyer said. “I’m not gonna run. I’m not gonna hide. I’m gonna stand right up.”

White House Dreamer Suspected of Murder Of Fashion Model

Mirjana Puhar, 19

[From article]
Police arrested 19-year-old Emmanuel Jesus Rangel-Hernandez for the crime. There are reports that Rangel, who was a known gang member, may also be a "DREAMer" who was allowed to stay in the U.S. under the Obama administration's immigration policies.
Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) sent a letter to DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson, requesting information about Rangel's immigration status and whether he was allowed to stay in the country under the President's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.
DHS has not responded to the request.
Judge Napolitano said that the DREAMer program was not legislated by Congress. It was an executive order by President Obama, which is "inconsistent with federal law."
[. . .]
Judge Nap also weighed in on the case in Fairhaven, Massachusetts, where an 18-year-old is charged with involuntary manslaughter for sending her friend emails, text messages and tweets that encouraged him to kill himself.
Judge Nap said this is a "novel case" and he's never seen one quite like it before.
He explained that cops believe they have evidence that Conrad Roy was a "simpleton" and Michelle Carter knew that when she pushed him to commit suicide.
"The law usually requires some very evil motivation - they may have it here - and something more than words," Judge Nap said, explaining that usually entails something such as handing the victim a weapon.
"It's a head-scratcher as to why she would do this. If they convict her on that basis, it will be novel and dangerous, because it brings pure speech into an area of crime."
He added that it's also very unusual that Carter is being tried as an adult in juvenile court and faces up to 20 years in prison.

Duchess of Cambridge Fixes Hair On Windy Day

Breezy: The Duchess of Cambridge attempts to twirl her ringletted locks back into shape

[From article]
She's famous for her perfectly groomed mane but even the Duchess of Cambridge's long locks couldn't withstand the wind that sprung up during the Remembrance Day parade.
Faced with a chilly breeze, the Duchess repeatedly twirled her locks back into shape as she watched veterans process past the Cenotaph alongside the Countess of Wessex.
Despite the havoc created by the gale, the Duchess cut an elegant figure in a sombre black textured coat and a James Lock & Co beret.

CDC Stocks Up On Latest Medical Fashions

The CDC has ordered $2.7 million in personal protective equipment that is being configured into 50 kits for rapid deployment to hospitals, it said in a statement.
Some U.S. orders of protective equipment have been backlogged amid growing domestic demand, as manufacturers prioritize a flood of requests from aid agencies trying to curb the outbreak in West Africa.
The CDC tightened its guidelines for people handling Ebola patients on Oct. 20, requiring a fluid-resistant gown, gloves, a hood, shoe coverings and a face mask.

Homeland Security Continues Misguided Priorities Seizing Panties

Peregrine Honig (l.) and Danielle Meister were surprised when federal agents came into their panty shop in Kansas City and confiscated unmentionables.

This is typical of the priorities of law enforcement in the United States. DHS may have jurisdiction over seizing counterfeit merchandise, but these panties were not counterfeit. It was alleged that it was a copyright violation. Rather than focusing on violent crime and terror, misguided politicians and police focus on government criticism and copyright violations, which are usually committed by non violent persons. They shun focusing on violent criminals. For 44 years police and the FBI conducted a brutal campaign of harassment, abuse of power, relentless character assassination, insults, threats, ridicule, humiliation and provocations. They used man-hating feminist young women and lesbians as bait on a now 70-year-old white man who they say is crazy, racist and a retired drug dealer. That was after government psychiatrists drugged him for 80 consecutive days using hallucinogens contrary to law. He was not under the care of any psychiatrist. There was no court order to allow this criminal campaign. He never volunteered for any human experiment. That did not inhibit the FBI, police and their crime family associates from conducting this 44 year campaign. Now they are seizing panties with MLB logos, protecting impaired, weak, vulnerable professional taxpayer subsidized millionaire baseball teams.

[From article]
When two burly men walked into a Missouri women's underwear store Tuesday, the owners didn't think much of it -- until the pair flashed their Homeland Security badges and confiscated several dozen panties bearing the initials "KC" in honor of the Kansas City Royals.
Danielle Meister, co-owner of Birdies Panties shop, said the undercover agents seized the lingerie, claiming the store violated copyright laws by selling underwear with "Take the Crown" and "KC" printed across the rear. Meister and her business partner, Peregrine Honig, said they wanted to celebrate the success of their hometown team - which on Wednesday night beat the San Francisco Giants to tie the World Series at one game apiece, by designing the panties.
[. . .]
While knock-off merchandise might not seem to fall under the purview of Homeland Security, ICE claims HSI plays a "leading role in targeting criminal organizations responsible for producing, smuggling and distributing counterfeit products."

Fashion Celebrity Kills Herself

[From article]
“I always say luxury is a state of mind,” Scott told The Sunday Times of London last November. “Because for me, it really is. It’s legroom, it’s a beautiful view, it’s great food at a great restaurant you’ve discovered because you obsessively read Zagat, as I do.”
And then, last Monday, she committed suicide, hanging herself in a $5.6 million Chelsea apartment that likely did not belong to her. Within hours, Scott’s life was revealed to have become an elaborate facade — her business at least $6 million in debt, her fashion-world friends and celebrity clientele unaware of her despair.

Being Cool Trumps All Rational Arguments

[From article]
Gutfeld finds that cool warps everything. In 2012, for instance, Zuckerberg’s Facebook not only didn’t pay any net federal income tax but was actually due a refund of about $430 million. Why? Because the company (lawfully) deducted the stock options it issues to Facebook employees, many of them now deliriously wealthy because of those options. If Exxon or Koch Industries had managed that, someone might have noticed.
[. . .]
A 1950s study that tried to measure coolness of jobs identified five factors that gave a career prestige: importance of the task performed, level of authority you have, the know-how required, the dignity of the tasks required and pay.
Scoring highest were jobs like bankers, executives, ministers and professors.
[. . .]
The end result of eco-minded hipster thinking is, for example, the San Francisco ban on plastic shopping bags. This well-intentioned move in favor of all that is green and natural actually wound up killing people. Why? Because when you use bags to transport food, bacteria collects in them.
[. . .]
Reusing that Earth-friendly tote gradually turns it into a chemical weapon. The ban, declared a University of Pennsylvania study, “is associated with a 46% increase in death from food-borne illnesses. That implies an increase of 5.5 annual deaths for the county.” (The researchers added that this was a conservative estimate.)
