Human Experiments at U of Pennsylvania
Dr. Howard Kligman died in February 2010.
He was the main organizer of unauthorized human subject experimentation at the Holmesburg Prison in Philadelphia. The book, "Acres of Skin" refers to a statement made by Kligman, when asked why he did this illegal and unauthorized human subject experimentation at the Holmesburg Prison.
His answer was because I had, "acres of skin" before me.
There was also atomic energy department (AED) (now the nuclear regulatory commission NRC) testing at Holmesburg. Many of these inmate victims became infertile as a result of these experiments. There was documented MK Ultra experimentation performed in "Army tents" at Holmesburg during these years.
Kligman developed "retin A" as a result of these nonconsensual experimentations. He died a very wealthy man.
The Philadelphia Inquirer Newspaper was part of the group that exposed this shocking human experimentation. The Headline spoke of "human guinea pigs" at Holmesburg Prison.
