Enjoying Noise is a Small Sacrifice

Enjoying Noise is a Small Sacrifice

The noise ordinance was not meant for deep pocketed Biotech firms. It was meant to keep the inebriated workers quiet as they leave the adult beverage cafes late at night. It is shocking to think that a city could impose its small-minded ordinances on a research corporation. Are these whiners Luddites or what? Noise is a small price to pay for advancing science. If researchers can kill individuals to benefit society what's wrong with blowing out a few ear drums or missing few hours of sleep? People who harass me, disturb my sleep every hour because they are paid to do so. Your sleep is disturbed to advance science. Sacrifice for your fellow man. As the Hero of the Kennedy cult said, "Ask not what your city can do for you. Ask what you can do for your city and for science?" Why so selfish?
