Journalists Publish Propaganda For White House

[From article]
Some of the most disturbing aspects of the times in which we are living include the utter corruption of the mass print and broadcast media and the lack of awareness of this fact by a large portion of the public.
It seems that most Americans operate on the assumption that the media is making a good-faith, if imperfect, effort at objectively informing its audience. That so few are genuinely aware of the outrageous manipulation of public opinion now taking place is the single greatest threat to the republic, to the extent that we can even say that our republic still exists. A glaring example of this would be the treatment of Nixon 42 years ago over Watergate compared with the treatment of Obama today over any one of several far worse scandals.
It was recently reported in the WSJ that Obama used the NSA to spy on Congress during the deliberations related to the Iran nuclear deal. It was reported on at one time, but this story has now disappeared completely from media coverage. Consider the implications.
In the former case, Nixon apparently directed or sat by and knowingly let his immediate subordinates direct a third-rate burglary of the campaign headquarters of an election opponent. In the latter case, Obama authorized one of the most sophisticated intelligence-gathering organizations in the world to spy on American legislators, en masse, in pursuit of the most important – and egregiously flawed – international agreement impacting American national security and world stability – namely, with the chief sponsor of international terrorism: the Islamic Republic of Iran.
This is a thousand times worse than Watergate! Where is the media? Where are today's equivalents of Woodward and Bernstein? The media doesn't focus on this outrage at all, so to the overwhelming majority of the public, it is as though this never even happened. And this is only one of several comparable scandals we could name.
Another case of the selective focus of our mass media took place in 2009. Barack Hussein Obama said publicly that the U.S. is "not a Christian nation" and that America is "one of the world's foremost Muslim countries."
These statements amount to utter lunacy in a country in which at least 70% self-identify as Christians, where Christian holidays are official national holidays, and where Muslims number, at most, three to four million out of a population of over 330 million. This provoked not even a whimper of incredulity by the mass media. Then, in 2012, during an unintentional "open mic" moment, we overheard Obama making assurances to Russian president Medvedev that once he was able to get past the election, he would have "more flexibility."

Here we have a sitting U.S. president apparently ready to make some huge concession to America's most important major power rival on the world stage, a concession so drastic that it apparently couldn't even be revealed until after the election. And the media did not hound him over this.
Could one imagine a President Nixon, or a President Reagan, making such a statement during arms control negotiations with the USSR and the media simply giving it a pass? But that Donald Trump, he says such "crazy" things...and that Ted Cruz, he's a "religious fanatic." Why! just look at all the terrible things Trump and Cruz say about one another.
The media focus is entirely on setting the major GOP candidates against each other, in order to tarnish their images – letting the candidates themselves do the actual tarnishing, while not giving even a fraction of their coverage to the Democratic contest between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders or their actual qualifications to be president.
How many journalists in the mass media have focused on the fact that despite having held positions such as senator from New York and secretary of state, Hillary Clinton has not even one major positive accomplishment she can name?
And what about Hillary and Bill Clinton's foundation, which has amounted to little more than a money-laundering, influence-peddling racket aimed at amassing a vast campaign war chest funded by numerous foreign interests? Or that Hillary's amply documented mishandling of highly classified information likely represents the greatest breach of trust by a cabinet-level government official in U.S. history?
Does the disgrace of Benghazi, the brutal loss of a U.S. ambassador, mean anything to anyone in the media? Does it even count for a fraction of the consternation eighteen years ago over a stain on a dress?
How about the qualifications of Bernie Sanders, who did not so much as earn a regular paycheck until he was 40, who ran for Congress while collecting unemployment, who supported himself for a time writing about masturbation and rape fantasies for leftist publications, who has served in Congress for 25 years without having written even one piece of legislation that ever passed?
Who, in the national-level print and broadcast mass media, is giving more than scant attention, if any, to these issues? Instead, we are hearing endlessly about Trump's latest gaffe, or the latest smear against Trump by the Cruz campaign, or sleazy allegations about Cruz's personal life, etc.
As an illustration of the power of today's mass media to shape public opinion, one might consider the first time Obama experienced a major drop in his approval ratings. This was early in his second term, during the rollout of Obamacare, and proved to be such an unmitigated and obvious disaster that the mass media had no choice but to report on it honestly and across the board.
Obama's poll numbers suffered dramatically, and in short order, all over this one debacle. One might imagine how his presidency might be viewed if so many other debacles, often of an even more serious nature, received comparable treatment. But this has not happened.
Thus, in such an environment, is it any wonder that despite presiding over the most anemic economic growth experienced under a two-term president since WW2, the lowest labor force participation rate in over 35 years, a more than doubling of the national debt, and the most catastrophic decline in America's stature and prestige on the world stage under one president in the whole of our history, Obama's approval ratings incredibly still hover around 50%?
Add to that not one, but several major scandals that by themselves would likely have sparked impeachment hearings under any previous president. This is clearly the result of a mass media that is as controlled, literally, as what we saw in the Cold War-era Soviet Union – except that in the old USSR, people knew the media was peddling nonsense, so they took it with a big grain of salt.
Here, people aren't fully aware of the extent of the corruption. In terms of degree, this is a relatively recent phenomenon, so their guard is down. The individual exercise of independent critical thinking, the commonsense skepticism that would be needed to counter this, is largely absent, since there is no perceived need to make this effort, even on the part of people who consider themselves "informed."
For these reasons, the fear and expectation have to be that the American public are now being herded by the media into electing Hillary...or even Bernie.
May God help us all.

Alliance of American Liberals and Muslims, Deceiving Themselves and Others

[From article]
I would use names, but I am confident if American Public Square ran a comparable event in other cities, the four Muslim advocates -- the moderator included -- would espouse almost identical views. They represent a type. So too did the overwhelmingly liberal audience. I could have written their questions for them.
These American Public Square debates feature an active online fact checker and a civility bell. I was a little queasy about the civility bell, but I welcomed the fact checker. He proved to be my greatest ally.
The state rep did a fine job. As an elected official he had to be a little cautious, but he made his case about terror and immigration well.
My strategy was a little different. Knowing that I was not about to convert anyone, I thought I could at least confuse the audience members with the truth, and the truth is that their affection for Islam makes no apparent sense. This proved to be a difficult assignment, and here is why.
In attempting to establish my premise, I said to the panel, “Muslims are culturally very conservative around the world,” adding rhetorically, “Is that fair to say?”
This premise struck me as inarguable. My fellow panelists felt otherwise. The two women, both wearing Hijabs, and the moderator all shouted out “No” or some variant. Said I, “When it comes to issues like family, women, abortion, gay rights, you’re telling me they’re not conservative?”
The moderator admonished me. “Jack,” he said, “you’re asking a question, and they didn’t give you the answer you want.” He then challenged me to make my case or move on.
Knowing there was a fact checker, I pulled out my one file card and read through the numbers from Pew Research Foundation, a liberal but generally reliable source. When asked about gay rights, 87 percent of Germans approved but no more than 9 percent of Muslims in any country surveyed and as little as 2 percent in some.
On the question of whether a women should always obey her husband, 87 percent of Muslims approved. On the question of whether apostates should be executed, 56 percent of Muslims who approved of Sharia law said yes. Asked whether they held “highly unfavorable” views of Jews, 99 percent of Jordanians and 100 percent of Lebanese sad yes. The fact checker could not deny what I was saying.
My fellow panelists could and did. They protested that these attitudes did not reflect American Muslims, but I had to repeat that I began my discussion by saying these surveys were done in the countries that comprise our immigration pool, and that the threat of immigration motivated the anti-Muslim sentiment about which they complained.
[. . .]
I kept returning to the transparently separate standards liberals held for traditional Christians and traditional Muslims. I pointed out, for instance, that the Kansas City Star designated a prominent liberal pastor a “drum major for justice” for his denunciation of the Christian right as “a threat far greater than the old threat of Communism.”
The fact checker confirmed that to be an exact quote. And the threat the pastor alluded had nothing to do with violence. No, what troubled him was that Christian conservatives were running for office. They were "anti-pornography," he warned, and opposed -- he noted daintily -- a woman's "having a say about what goes on in her own body."
Had he said something half as outrageous about Muslims, he would have lost his pulpit, if not his head. Focusing his spite on Christians, however, got his speech excerpted in the New York Times and won him the Harry S. Truman Good Neighbor Award.
[. . .]

“There is an element of disingenuousness about this conversation tonight,” I replied. I pointed out that there are millions of Muslims who subscribed to ISIS or who supported ISIS “To make believe that there is not a religious thread to this,” I concluded, “is to deceive ourselves.”
“What’s disingenuous is to blithely say there are millions,” the moderator snapped back. He then made the fatal mistake of asking for a fact check on my numbers. Said the fact checker, “Pew says 63 million Muslims support the Islamic State in the eleven Muslim countries polled.”
“That,” I said with my final words, “is a lot of Muslims.”

Ted Cruz, JD Harvard Law School, Campaigns For President

[From article]
Congratulations to Ted Cruz for winning his fourth primary! Usually Donald Trump wins the primaries — where you go and vote, like in a real election. Cruz wins the caucuses — run by the state parties, favored by political operators and cheaters.
Until now, the only primaries Cruz has won are in Texas (his home state), Oklahoma (basically the same state) and Idaho (where Trump never campaigned).
[. . .]
Cruz has flipped to Trump’s side on every important political issue of this campaign — which only ARE issues because of Trump. These are:
— Quadrupling the number of foreign guest workers to help ranchers and farmers get cheap labor: Cruz was for it, and now is against it.
— Legalizing illegal aliens: Cruz was for it, and now is against it.
— The Trans-Pacific Partnership deal: Cruz was for it, and now is against it.
— Building a wall: Cruz was against it, and now is for it.
These are all positions Cruz has changed since being a senator — most of them he’s flipped on only in the last year. I’m supposed to believe that U.S. senators can sincerely change their minds about policies it was their job to know about, but a New York developer can never change his mind about pop-offs he made more than a decade ago.
[. . .]
These are the kinds of lies that used to drive conservatives crazy when the Clintons did it. Not anymore. All’s fair in smearing Trump.
[. . .]
Trump has said a million times that he’d scrap Obamacare and replace it with a free market system (which, by the way, he explains a lot more clearly than Washington policy wonks with their think-tank lingo). Merely for Trump saying that we’re “not going to let people die, sitting in the middle of a street in any city in this country,” Cruz accuses him of supporting “Bernie Sanders-style medicine.”
[. . .]
Cruz and his cult-like followers lie about Trump wanting a health care system akin to Canada’s and Scotland’s. They lie about his supporting Obamacare. They lie about his supporting partial-birth abortion. They lie about his ever having been a Democrat. They lie about his campaign manager assaulting a female reporter.
[. . .]
But — as with the Clintons — you offer these Cruz-bots an olive branch and they bite off your hand.
[. . .]
If James Carville and Paul Begala had a baby, it would be a Cruz supporter.
[. . .]
Trump is the only presidential candidate in my lifetime who will build a wall, deport illegals and pause the importation of Muslims. He’s the only one who cares more about ordinary Americans than he does about globalist plutocrats.
[. . .]
Mostly, I was under the misimpression that honesty was still a conservative value.

Flyover Country Voter Responds To Trump Campaign

[From article]
his few specific promises are so unhinged that Democrats -- who navigate life solely by their heart -- know instinctively that he’s lying to the Republican primary voters. (And who has more experience with lying than Democrats?)
[. . .]
Republicans navigate life by their brain. But if that brain has not been exposed to the urban con games such as Three-card monte (New York City) or boardwalk “jam joints” (Atlantic City), they will not recognize the con and may vote for him out of their sense of “projection” -- ascribing to the con man the same honesty by which they themselves live. Because, if you live among honest people in flyover country, you tend to believe that others you meet will be honest too.
And therefore, you are more vulnerable to their cons.

Political Deception By Ruling Elite

[From article]
The art of magic is akin to that of politics in that people may suspend disbelief as they listen to or read the utterances of political leaders or candidates. For politicians, like magicians, the trick is to get the listener or watcher to focus the spotlight and attention on something favorable for the speaker while ignoring or paying less attention to other things. The artifice is to distract listeners and viewers into acceptance by the patter of the politician or the magician. The deception focuses on the performer so that the audience unaware of the helpers or “spinners” behind the curtain who may have arranged or helped in the trick.
Success in politics is like success at performing card tricks, with false shuffling of cards, but making sure the right one is always on top. If magicians skillfully deceive the viewer, politicians similarly engage in spin, misinformation or outright deception.
In both magic and politics there is an art of manipulation, perhaps arranged by the expert practitioners and handlers behind the curtain who help create the image of the politician and foist it on the public.
In both, there is exploitation of psychology and a necessary understanding of human behavior, emotion, and perception. A recent book by David Greenberg, Republic of Spin, gives a valuable account of the different, sometimes contrasting, techniques used by famous leaders such as Franklin D. Roosevelt and Charles de Gaulle for dramatic effect to gain approval. Perhaps surprisingly for some, it was Richard Nixon who delivered the message, ”concern for image must rank with concern for substance.”
The issue of manipulation and trickery is all too familiar in the 2016 U.S. presidential electoral campaign from candidates of both parties. Complex and countless controversial issues, [. . .] are reduced to a simple prescription. In reality, few can understand or are capable of evaluating the real meaning and consequences of proposals regarding complicated issues. The problem is that political leaders and candidates are rarely asked to explain fully and clearly those proposals.
In many ways, people believe what they want to believe. They may not challenge or reject doubtful statements or misinformation either because it is not important to them, or it is too difficult or tiresome to seek the truth. Emotional as well as cognitive factors may enter into the problem. People may go along with what they think is the opinion of their peers, the social or political community close to them.
[. . .]
All this has long been familiar. In Plato’s Republic, Socrates expounds partly through a fictional tale the use of the “noble lie,” the falsehood told by the elite to maintain harmony and unity in society or to advance an agenda. The use of the noble lie, according to Socrates, and its acceptance by the three classes into which he divides society, keep them in place in the social system. Moreover, good is supposed to come out of the use of lies and myths, because if people believed in the prevalent myth into which they are indoctrinated, they would be inclined to care more for the state.
Political leaders from time immemorial have followed the argument of Socrates of a convenient fiction, a bold myth or flight of imagination, or “the noble lie,” that the community should and must accept for its own good.
It is obviously true that in certain political circumstances, as in private life, lying may be desirable to achieve a good end. Politicians must then face difficult choices. Falsehood and deceit may be necessary in time of war or to avoid moments of public disorder.
The case of Winston Churchill and the city of Coventry still remains controversial. In November 1940 Germany launched a devastating bombing raid on the city. It is alleged that the prime minister knew of the intended Luftwaffe raid but said and did nothing about it because any action would have alerted Hitler to the fact that the UK had broken the German Enigma Code. Coventry was sacrificed for the “greater good.”
[. . .]
However, the argument that rulers should create myths that people will accept is a dangerous and incorrect one. A society does not need to be misled by rulers, akin to Plato’s “Guardians”, in order to be healthy and stable.
George Orwell in his novel 1984 is one of those writers who have indicated the growing tendency for citizenry to be subjected to psychological conditioning, to the distortion and to the reversing of the meaning of words, and to the slanting of political messages in directions favorable to the rulers.
Considering the intensity of current disapproval and hostility in the U.S. and in Western European countries towards the “establishment” and the existing political systems controlled by elites, and the present approval of present presidential candidates critical of them, one can ask if the magic has failed?
[. . .]
Image is not reality, and presentation of false solutions is not a form of medicine to the citizenry.

It is not true that myths are necessary for citizens to live in a more agreeable way, nor is it true that citizens would care more for their condition in the system if they accepted the myths. The candidates of both U.S. political parties can do better than speak in sound bites. They should avoid magical sleight of hand in dealing with serious issues.

White House Bait and Switch Health Care Lies

[From article]
States choosing to expand Medicaid take on additional costs due to more people on their Medicaid rolls. The federal government picks up the additional costs for the first few years, meaning it won’t cost states anything extra. Initially at least.
That’s the bait
Over time, however, the feds pay less of the expansion costs. By 2020, they will only cover 90 percent of the expansion cost, leaving the rest to the states. Assuming they keep their word on the 90 percent promise.
That’s the switch.

[. . .]
Medicaid pays physicians about two-thirds of what Medicare pays. The solution under ObamaCare was to raise the amount doctors get paid under Medicaid to the same level as Medicare.
That’s the bait.
Unfortunately, this was a temporary fix, lasting only two years. Beginning in 2015, doctors saw a 43 percent cut in Medicaid reimbursement.
That’s the switch.
[. . .]
“Medicare reimbursement rates are far too low to cover the costs of high-quality medical services, and Medicaid reimbursement is even worse,” according to Alan Reynolds, a senior fellow at the Cato Institute. Mayo Clinic wisely did not fall for the ObamaCare Medicaid bait and switch.
[. . .]

Is any of this a surprise? This was all part of ObamaCare from the beginning. Yet at that time, there was no debate and analysis. Few if any Members of Congress read the bill. Democrats rushed the bill into law cheered on by a giddy media.
Now we are left with a mess, confirming Abraham Lincoln’s admonition, “You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.” The ObamaCare Medicaid bait and switch sure fooled and continues to fool many.

Selective Meanings of Words

In high school in the New York City area, to gin rummy players, getting schlonged was what the winners did to the losers in card games. It is a word used in polite company. Only journalists and politicians with dirty minds think getting schlonged is profane.

[From article]
So what Conan is saying is that if the schlonging refers to a man and a woman, that is not nearly as bad as talking about a woman alone without a male suffering with her.

This, of course, makes no sense at all. It is merely another case of OK when liberals do it, but not when conservatives or Donald Trump does it.

White House Is Not Who We Are

[From article]
The Washington Free Beacon has put together a video montage of Obama using his catchphrase, “it’s not who we are” 46 times.
The video editor, David Rutz, observes:
Not unlike his warning to political opponents that they may be on the “wrong side of history,” the expression is useful in its ability to shut down conversation and seize a moral high ground, however imaginary.
Obama has deployed the term to convince the country of his rightness on immigration, Obamacare, education, national security and not voting for Mitt Romney, among other important issues to his presidency.

https://youtu.be/gouAcayDwLM

Since there is little flexibility in his thinking, “not who we are” is likely to be used even more to delegitimize his opponents as his term in office runs down, his popularity sinks, and he becomes ever more desperate to stifle mounting criticism.
[. . .]
Undoubtedly, Obama’s claim that this or that is not who “we are”, depends on the meaning of “we.” Maybe some smart journalist can ask him.

Trump, Lies, Media Distortion Concerning Racial Crimes

[From article]
hundreds of other news sites that recently called Donald Trump a “liar” for retweeting some misinformation about inter-racial crime.
These media sites will tell you there is no difference between white and black crime. The only reason black people are arrested, tried, convicted and sentenced five to 100 times more often is because racist cops pick on black people for no reason whatsoever.
[. . .]
One, how do the professors and big time media folks know that blacks and whites commit the same amount of drug crime?
[. . .]
This info is part of the census --- [. . .] Such as: ‘Do you use drugs? Or smoke pot?’ [. . .] They just take your word for it. [. . .] And that is how the ‘black and white commit the same amount of crime hoax” was born.
The buzzword for this kind of research is “self-reporting.” As you might guess, this research is itself the subject of a lot of research. And a lot of scientists have found that self-reporting on drug use is not reliable. Especially for one particular group: African Americans.
[. . .]
A study of 290 African American men in Baltimore, Maryland undergoing treatment for hypertension showed that self-reporting of illicit drug use is unreliable. Only 48 of the participants reported drug use but urine drug tests revealed that 131 had used drugs. With self-reporting, drug use among black people was 16 percent. With testing, 45 percent.
[. . .]
When you ask, white people and black people report using cocaine in about the same amount. But when you test, black people are six times more likely to use cocaine. And lie about it.
[. . .]
For crime, it is: There is an enormous difference between black and white crime rates in this country. A difference that the same people who call Trump a liar have been lying about for a long time.

White House and Palestinians Rewrite History of The Jewish People

[From article]
Obama's speech in Cairo, to which he insisted the fundamentalist Muslim Brotherhood be invited.
In this speech, Obama conveniently ignored the historic Jewish ties to the land of Israel and invoked the Holocaust as the reason for Israel's existence. Even the left-leaning Ha'aretz newspaper found this sufficiently objectionable to call for Obama to rectify his misleading statements.
This narrative, fashionable throughout the Islamic world and one that denies there were ever Jews in the land of Judea is now orthodoxy among the mindless, atheistic Left, with whom Obama shares ideological kinship.
To Obama, the Jews are intruders. Never mind that many of those who now call themselves Palestinians are descendants from Egyptian, Yemeni, Syrian, and other Arab families that migrated to the British Mandate of Palestine as returning Jews began developing the area in the 1920s.
[. . .]
Edward Said himself, as well as Yasser Arafat, were not Palestinians but Egyptians who falsified their birthplace.
[. . .]
Nurtured in a Muslim home, reared on leftist ideology, sitting at the feet of a minister who is a virulent anti-Semite, bonding with leftist Jews in his Hyde Park neighborhood, Obama comes to any negotiation about the Arab/Israeli conflict with a mindset that is no different from that of any Palestinian.
To Obama, the Jews are interlopers and deserve what the Palestinians give them.
[. . .]
The international community’s generosity has ended up in the personal coffers of Yasser Arafat and Mahmoud Abbas.
Obama's administration willfully ignores every form of Palestinian incitement, trying to find moral equivalence between Jewish victims of stab wounds and knife-wielding Palestinians.
[. . .]
As in 2008, Israelis understand who and what Obama is, while American Jews continue to refuse to acknowledge the reality before their eyes. Having voted overwhelmingly for Obama, not once but twice, the psychological dissonance is too great to acknowledge.
Obama's political socialization and ideology preclude him from ever being a friend of Israel.

Journalists Continue Publishing Propaganda, Misleading American Voters and Taxpayers

[From article]
Ironically, murders and shootings are highest in Democrat-controlled cites that have the toughest gun laws.
For example: in Chicago over the Thanksgiving weekend, 30 people were shot, and 8 died. Was this widely reported nationally? Heck, no. And yet every rare occasion in which a cop kills a black, regardless of the circumstances, is broadcast 24/7, made front-page news.
This year, Baltimore broke its 43-year record for murders, mostly black on black.
Under-reported was the BLM rally in which BLM zealots marched down a New York street chanting, "What do we want? Dead Cops! When do we want it? Now!"
I bet you are unfamiliar with hashtag "#killacop."
[. . .]

I can pretty much guarantee that the TMZ-watching low-info-voters in my family have not heard about the video in which a black supremacist sent out a clarion call to BLM followers that it is open season on killing cops and crackers (white people).
For the most part, the mainstream media and Democrats have sided with BLM, hiding the hate group's violent intentions from the public. As a matter of fact, mainstream media and Democrats are active participants in the hate group's campaign to demonize America's police.
[. . .]
The arrogance of these hypocritical, evil vipers giving BLM a pass while condemning conservatives and Christians tells you everything you need to know about secular progressive zealots.

Voter Anger Not Easy To Resolve, Blame Widespread

Councilor Cheung raises valid concerns, but misplaces blame. Technology remade the way voters get information. Complex issues demand the attention of government. Easier to leave it to the experts, those politicians, who often obfuscate the issues and mislead the voters. Journalists publish propaganda on their own or on behalf of politicians or special interests. It is difficult to understand issues when presented as an alternative version of reality. The White House determines priorities for many policy makers. Voters are being divided by White House propaganda.

Resulting anger was captured by Mr. Trump who is likely as angry himself. Current focus of schools and colleges is preventing hurt feelings and hating America. Little help encouraging rational thought, common sense and integrity. There is no easy solution to the problems raised by the Councilor.

Civil Rights Lawyer At Harvard University Acts Like Humpty Dumpty

Has one race exclusive use of the word race? What is the definition of that word? The profiled lawyer does not say. Working with no definition allows any argument to succeed.

Is that how lawyers argue out of court? Rahsaan D. Hall "defended Harvard’s consideration of race [undefined] as a factor in its admissions processes. [. . .] Hall maintained that Harvard [is] in compliance with the legal precedent set by the Supreme Court" but provides no citation. Perplexed at appeals to law when it suits the argument, but ignoring law as the White House and the Department of Justice do when that suits them. Curious that Hall argues as if progressive voters have difficulty obtaining voter IDs, but non progressive voters do not. Does that mean ability is based on ideology?

Ben Carson Explains How Politicians and Journalists Misled American Black People

Ok, if you want a brain operation he's your man. But do you really want him in the White House making speeches telling the truth? This man is dangerous.

Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson says traditional politicians have long maneuvered African-American voters for their own ends.
“I think American blacks over the course of next year will begin to see that they’ve been manipulated very, very largely,” he told radio host Mike Gallagher on Tuesday.
“[It is] people telling them what they’re supposed to think and what they’re supposed to say,” Carson said. “I believe that is a dynamic that is in the process of changing.”
[. . .]
“I long for the day when the media realizes that the reason that they’re the only business that is protected by the Constitution is because it is intended to be for the people,” he said.
“They weren’t supposed to pick sides, the Democratic side or the Republican side,” Carson said. “You are supposed to be able to trust them. They take advantage of low-information individuals and people who won’t investigate things for themselves.”

Updated(2): Exposing Journalists (and Politicians) Who Deceive Americans

The spliced and diced video appears to show that he overreacted at the McKinney Texas pool party by pulling his weapon and in the methods he used to control the bikini-clad teenager who was screaming at him.
Still-framing the video shows a more complicated picture. It shows two young men rushing him from behind on his weapon side. Protocol requires Officer Casebolt to maintain weapon control at all times. The video also appears to show that his finger was never in the trigger group, but rather beside the barrel and never in the firing position. The way he used the weapon was a tactic to gain control, which posed no danger. When slowed, the video shows Casebolt using restraint.

This video (be alert for advertisements for the author's new book on black racial violence) exposes the misguided deceptive video shown on national and local television news stations, reporting on McKinney, Texas police activity. Included in the Flaherty video is a brawl in New Jersey at the Met Life Stadium, where Giants and Jets play football. On Monday June 8, 2015 ABC nightly news with David Muir showed the short version video clip. He made it appear that it was white racist police attacking young black swimmers for no reason. The black ABC narrator explains in his last sentence that the journalists got it wrong. Both black and white witnesses said the police were correct in their use of force. In the story posted on Weaselzipper.us

Three video clips at this site, plus numerous tweets. They provided an explanation for the police activity before network news. Scroll down to last tweet for one example.

Another #BlackLivesMatter Cause In The Making: #McKinney, Texas…Update: Violence That Brought Cops, Residents Black And White Backing PoliceWeaselzippers.us

they quote a black woman who says that the journalists are being misled (and misleading others) by the young black teenagers. They came to a community pool owned by a condo association or a cooperative real estate company. One member invited twenty or more of her friends who showed up and began harassing the residents. You can see in the first video some of that fight which does not appear in the short version broadcast nationally.

What is the purpose of deceiving so many people? One reason is to divide ordinary citizens so that the upper classes can manipulate them. Communists have a stated mission to divide Americans. Many journalists are either willing participants in the division of the nation or they are useful idiots, clueless to what they are doing. Another reason is to continue the effort of globalists to place all law enforcement under federal jurisdiction by discrediting local police. Notice how few FBI, ATF, IRS, Homeland Security, TSA  abuses are being reported, as if they never abuse their power. Ahem!

An armored state police vehicle began blasting a piercing loud noise to try to disperse the crowd and police later deployed rounds of tear gas. One man was reportedly Maced and another was apprehended on the ground by police, according to the Asbury Park Press. 'Barbaric — the way they treat our people is like animals,' a concertgoer told CBS. 'If there was another concert this would've never happened.' The major concert is hosted annually by New York radio station Hot 97 and was headlined on Sunday by Kendrick Lamar, Trey Songz, Big Sean and Chris Brown. Emmis New York, which owns Hot 97, said in a statement that refunds will be offered for ticket holders whose tickets were not scanned. They said the concert sold out on Sunday evening and that 'a small number of people created an unsafe environment, and for the safety of all guests, the New Jersey State Police were on scene to disperse the crowd.' The gates to get inside were then closed and no one else was allowed in. It wasn't immediately clear if there were any injuries.

Russian Oil Interests Fund Opposition to Fracking, Environmental Groups

[From article]
Well, a recent report offers some useful detailed information about the role of Russia in funding the opposition to fracking by so-called Green groups.
The piece was written by investigative reporter Lachlan Markay. He reports the amazing news that a mysterious Bermuda-based company with Russian connections has been feeding tens of millions of dollars to American environmentalist groups who just happen to be virulently anti-fracking.
[. . .]
The Bermudan company is called “Klein Ltd.” Klein donated (i.e., transferred) over $23 million – in the year 2010 alone! – to American environmentalist groups that aim to halt the American fracking revolution and its expansion abroad. Klein funneled the cash to a non-profit organization called “the Sea Change Foundation,” based (where else?) in California. This amounted to 40% of the foundation’s money, please note. The Sea Change Foundation in turn shoveled the loot to anti-fossil fuel activist groups such as the Center for American Progress, Food and Water Watch, the League of Conservation Voters, the National Resource Defense Council, and (but of course) the Sierra Club. These environmentalist machines in turn use the pelf to fund their agitprop disinformation campaigns against fracking.
[. . .]
Klein Ltd. has a director by the name of Nicholas Hopkins. Hopkins just coincidentally is also a director of an investment company that is deeply invested in Russian oil and natural gas companies.
[. . .]
However, the purpose of this web is clear: keep the price of oil high, and keep Russia and its pals like Venezuela and Iran well-funded. All these companies are well-hidden behind walls of secrecy and an iron curtain of opacity. This Russian funding of green groups from behind a screen of secrecy is reminiscent of the Soviet campaign over decades to influence our movie industry and fund various “peace” groups.
[. . .]
In fact, this is of a piece with the long history of the Soviets funneling money to useful American idiots, from socialists and communist fellow-travelers to peace groups to now environmentalist groups.
[. . .]
It is high time for Congress to set up a joint committee to investigate the graft, corruption, cronyism, and foreign influence of the so-called green energy industries. And legislation should be crafted totally outlawing foreign money going to any organization that does any political advocacy in the U.S. That should include foundations like the Clintons’, which even now is accepting massive amounts of foreign money to help Hilary run for president.

Jon Stewart Retires From Misleading A Generation

[From article]
Brian Williams lied about his personal exploits a few times. Jon Stewart was unabashedly and habitually dishonest.
Though Stewart has often claimed he does a “fake news show,” “The Daily Show” isn’t that. It’s a real news show punctuated with puns, jokes, asides and the occasional moment of staged sanctimony.
It contains real, unstaged sound bites about the days’ events and interviews about important policy matters.
[. . .]
Get both sides of the story?
Hey, I’m just a comedian, man. Try to be responsible about what the real issues are? Dude, that’s too heavy, we just want to set up the next d- -k joke.
[. . .]
College students, of course, are both little acquainted with realities of adult existence and walled off from conservative views, so they’re the perfect audience for Stewart’s shtick, which depends on assumptions that are as unquestioned as they are false.
[. . .]

Jon Stewart’s defense of Brian Williams was “The Daily Show” in a nutshell — laugh off a scandal and change the subject.
Photo: Getty Images
If Stewart were a public defender, he’d be even funnier than he is as a comic.
What judge or jury could fail to bust out laughing if a defense attorney said, “I have no rebuttal of any of the charges against my client, but lots of other people not in this courtroom are guilty of stuff, too!”
[. . .]
Liberal comics make things up, liberal journalists chortle and praise and internalize the lies.
[. . .]
Brian Williams has become a joke for telling lies, but Jon Stewart is a liar for the way he told jokes.

Updated: Black New York Times Columnist Complains About Campus Police Stopping His Son At Yale; Omits Fact That Officer Is Black, As Well As Police Chief

Posted January 29, 2015 9:23 PM ET; Last updated February 1, 2015 8:23 PM ET

[From article]
Frankly, I've never been able to read anything from Mr. Blow again. He is a racialist, a man obsessed with skin color rather than what people have to say. Mr. Blow is Exhibit A in the corrupt relationship between the race hustlers and the Democratic Party!
[. . .]
So he wrote a story about his son being stopped by a police officer. It was "the Blow version" of the Michael Brown story. However, Mr. Blow omitted a few facts and now looks even more foolish than ever.
The NY Post has the details:
[. . .]
Yet in his entire 867-word piece, and in all his tweets, Blow omitted a key fact: The officer who drew his gun is also black.
OK, maybe Blow didn’t think this was relevant -- black cops can be biased, too. But why not let readers decide for themselves?
There were other omissions and distortions.
Yale’s police chief, for example, is also black.
And while Blow did concede his son was stopped because cops were responding to a call about a burglary suspect who fit Tahj’s description, a Yale official says Blow’s claim that his son was “accosted” is “deeply inaccurate.”
[. . .]
In the meantime, let me remind you of a lesson I learned in 2010: Charles Blow is full of crap and a lot more! My guess is that the NY Times will keep relying on his "racialist view" of the world!

[From article]
First on Twitter and then in The New York Times, black columnist Charles Blow raged against a policeman at Yale questioning at gunpoint his son Tahj – who attends Yale. But Blow never mentioned in all this fuss that the cop was also a black man. Wouldn’t that fact matter as you tell this tale as some sort of racist horror story? Eddie Scarry at The Washington Examiner reports “Blow did not return a request for comment on why he omitted the race of the officer in his column or whether the race of the officer matters.”
[. . .]
The black website The Root reported Yale officials put out a campus-wide e-mail announcing the police officer was black. Yale’s president, dean and (black) police chief announced:

Gov. Palin Has Common Sense, Loves America, Not a Speechifier

Gov. Palin is Not A Speechifier

Byron York appears to prefer a slick black con man who uses words as needed, lying and lying some more, to suit his needs solely for the moment. Palin may not be the most polished speaker but she admires the nation, and has lots of common sense. Two qualities which are lacking at the White House these days and in many other offices in and out of government. Truman used to call politicians like Obama speechifiers. He equates Palin to Donald Trump, who is a successful builder, not a speechifier.  But the focus as usual is on discrediting Palin.

[From article]
Palin should leave the field to those who are in possession of genuine political aspirations, and she should refrain from treating the Republican party as if it were a little more than a convenient vehicle for her private ambition. In the meantime, conservatives who are finally cottoning on to the ruse should recognize that this Iowa sojourn was not an aberration or a blip, but the foreordained culmination of a slow and unseemly descent into farce that began almost immediately after Barack Obama was elected in 2008. So Sarah Palin has become Amy Winehouse? Of course she has. How else exactly was this going to end?

Savage Muslim Attacks on Christians and Jews Portrayed As Violence Between Two Parties By PBS

[From article]
Mr. Feiler appears to represent the progressive-humanist view that all religions are equally respectable cultural aggregations offering differing perspectives on the ultimately unknowable spiritual mysteries. Mr. Feiler does not approach these journeys from the perspective of his own relationship with God, but rather in the spirit of enthusiastic, non-judgmental spiritual tourism. Mr. Feiler calls Yoruba “ancient” and Christianity (which arose 1300 years earlier) “contemporary.” This suggests misunderstanding of, if not bias against, the latter faith.
But far worse is the characterization Mr. Feiler makes later when he breezily describes the beheadings, kidnappings, and rapes that Islamic savages are committing against defenseless Christian families as “violence between Muslims and Christians.” This familiar left-wing lie diminishes these hideous crimes; it is equivalent to calling the Holocaust a war between Jews and Nazis.
[. . .]
The origination mythology of modern humanism and progressivism is that white Christians cause all the problems in America and the world. And they invented slavery.
This is opposite of the truth. The capturing and holding of persons as chattel began with warfare at the dawn of human history. Christianity was the inspiration that decisively ended slavery in the United States. Involuntary servitude is still widely practiced throughout the non-Christian world. A UN study lists Nigeria as having the fourth largest slave population of any country in the world.
[. . .]
But the religions that provide the moral perimeters of Mr. Feiler’s own life -- an advanced form of monogamy, his beliefs about what constitutes a happy family, the unalienable worth of the human individual as formed in the image of one God -- all derive from Judaism and Christianity.
[. . .]
But these biases are nothing compared to the filaments of evil unconsciously woven into Mr. Feiler’s offhand reference to a bilateral war between Muslims and Christians.
[. . .]
The prime minister of Israel recently likened events such as Islamic Boko Haram fiends butchering African children to the Holocaust. To reframe the slaughter of unarmed Christians as a religious war is to provide a rationalization for indifference to this modern Holocaust.
