Turn Toward Camera and Smile (Politicians Instructions at Press Conference)

[From article]
Rahm Emanuel is a close friend of Hillary (and Bill) Clinton, and as obsessed both political power and personal vengeance on his enemies. Having obtained the post of Mayor of Chicago, he is now presiding over an impossible fiscal crisis, required to raise taxes to unrealistic levels in order to pay off the bribes pension obligations exchanged with labor unions in return for voting support.
Like his pal Hillary, Rahm believes in scripting his responses to questions. Mark Konkol of DNAinfo exposes the degree to which this process is carried out, via a public records request that yielded gold:
The “Daily Press Guidance” prepared for Emanuel’s Dec. 30 news conference on a new police “use of force” policy was complete with “Today’s sound bites,” “In The News Today” topics and scripted responses to expected questions that read like a stage play.
For instance, if a reporter were to ask if the new policy is meant to tell police officers to “stand down? Not to do their jobs? Run from trouble?” the script calls for the mayor to say, “Absolutely not.”
Then the mayor’s “press guidance” includes this stage direction: “TURN TO JOHN,” a reference to then-acting police Supt. John Escalante, whose lines are also included in the script.
Half of the projected questions included in the script called for Emanuel to say a line or two and then “TURN TO JOHN.”

Journalists Publish Propaganda For White House

[From article]
Some of the most disturbing aspects of the times in which we are living include the utter corruption of the mass print and broadcast media and the lack of awareness of this fact by a large portion of the public.
It seems that most Americans operate on the assumption that the media is making a good-faith, if imperfect, effort at objectively informing its audience. That so few are genuinely aware of the outrageous manipulation of public opinion now taking place is the single greatest threat to the republic, to the extent that we can even say that our republic still exists. A glaring example of this would be the treatment of Nixon 42 years ago over Watergate compared with the treatment of Obama today over any one of several far worse scandals.
It was recently reported in the WSJ that Obama used the NSA to spy on Congress during the deliberations related to the Iran nuclear deal. It was reported on at one time, but this story has now disappeared completely from media coverage. Consider the implications.
In the former case, Nixon apparently directed or sat by and knowingly let his immediate subordinates direct a third-rate burglary of the campaign headquarters of an election opponent. In the latter case, Obama authorized one of the most sophisticated intelligence-gathering organizations in the world to spy on American legislators, en masse, in pursuit of the most important – and egregiously flawed – international agreement impacting American national security and world stability – namely, with the chief sponsor of international terrorism: the Islamic Republic of Iran.
This is a thousand times worse than Watergate! Where is the media? Where are today's equivalents of Woodward and Bernstein? The media doesn't focus on this outrage at all, so to the overwhelming majority of the public, it is as though this never even happened. And this is only one of several comparable scandals we could name.
Another case of the selective focus of our mass media took place in 2009. Barack Hussein Obama said publicly that the U.S. is "not a Christian nation" and that America is "one of the world's foremost Muslim countries."
These statements amount to utter lunacy in a country in which at least 70% self-identify as Christians, where Christian holidays are official national holidays, and where Muslims number, at most, three to four million out of a population of over 330 million. This provoked not even a whimper of incredulity by the mass media. Then, in 2012, during an unintentional "open mic" moment, we overheard Obama making assurances to Russian president Medvedev that once he was able to get past the election, he would have "more flexibility."

Here we have a sitting U.S. president apparently ready to make some huge concession to America's most important major power rival on the world stage, a concession so drastic that it apparently couldn't even be revealed until after the election. And the media did not hound him over this.
Could one imagine a President Nixon, or a President Reagan, making such a statement during arms control negotiations with the USSR and the media simply giving it a pass? But that Donald Trump, he says such "crazy" things...and that Ted Cruz, he's a "religious fanatic." Why! just look at all the terrible things Trump and Cruz say about one another.
The media focus is entirely on setting the major GOP candidates against each other, in order to tarnish their images – letting the candidates themselves do the actual tarnishing, while not giving even a fraction of their coverage to the Democratic contest between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders or their actual qualifications to be president.
How many journalists in the mass media have focused on the fact that despite having held positions such as senator from New York and secretary of state, Hillary Clinton has not even one major positive accomplishment she can name?
And what about Hillary and Bill Clinton's foundation, which has amounted to little more than a money-laundering, influence-peddling racket aimed at amassing a vast campaign war chest funded by numerous foreign interests? Or that Hillary's amply documented mishandling of highly classified information likely represents the greatest breach of trust by a cabinet-level government official in U.S. history?
Does the disgrace of Benghazi, the brutal loss of a U.S. ambassador, mean anything to anyone in the media? Does it even count for a fraction of the consternation eighteen years ago over a stain on a dress?
How about the qualifications of Bernie Sanders, who did not so much as earn a regular paycheck until he was 40, who ran for Congress while collecting unemployment, who supported himself for a time writing about masturbation and rape fantasies for leftist publications, who has served in Congress for 25 years without having written even one piece of legislation that ever passed?
Who, in the national-level print and broadcast mass media, is giving more than scant attention, if any, to these issues? Instead, we are hearing endlessly about Trump's latest gaffe, or the latest smear against Trump by the Cruz campaign, or sleazy allegations about Cruz's personal life, etc.
As an illustration of the power of today's mass media to shape public opinion, one might consider the first time Obama experienced a major drop in his approval ratings. This was early in his second term, during the rollout of Obamacare, and proved to be such an unmitigated and obvious disaster that the mass media had no choice but to report on it honestly and across the board.
Obama's poll numbers suffered dramatically, and in short order, all over this one debacle. One might imagine how his presidency might be viewed if so many other debacles, often of an even more serious nature, received comparable treatment. But this has not happened.
Thus, in such an environment, is it any wonder that despite presiding over the most anemic economic growth experienced under a two-term president since WW2, the lowest labor force participation rate in over 35 years, a more than doubling of the national debt, and the most catastrophic decline in America's stature and prestige on the world stage under one president in the whole of our history, Obama's approval ratings incredibly still hover around 50%?
Add to that not one, but several major scandals that by themselves would likely have sparked impeachment hearings under any previous president. This is clearly the result of a mass media that is as controlled, literally, as what we saw in the Cold War-era Soviet Union – except that in the old USSR, people knew the media was peddling nonsense, so they took it with a big grain of salt.
Here, people aren't fully aware of the extent of the corruption. In terms of degree, this is a relatively recent phenomenon, so their guard is down. The individual exercise of independent critical thinking, the commonsense skepticism that would be needed to counter this, is largely absent, since there is no perceived need to make this effort, even on the part of people who consider themselves "informed."
For these reasons, the fear and expectation have to be that the American public are now being herded by the media into electing Hillary...or even Bernie.
May God help us all.

Joke Is On Hillary For Claim Trump Videos Recruit ISIS. It's Her Husband and the President Who Appear In ISIS Videos

Hillary Clinton has got a lot of 'splainin to do. And just wait until Donald Trump takes a look at the ISIS recruiting video below that zooms in on a picture of her husband as it denounces “fornicators” among the American infidels.

[From article]
During the Democrat “debate” last night, Hillary Clinton made the astonishing claim that Donald Trump was being used in ISIS recruiting videos. That resulted in a quick bit of “fact checking” by the progressive media which revealed that, no, Donald Trump wasn’t being used in ISIS recruiting videos. My colleague, Joe Cunningham, covered the demolition of that egregious lie.
As it turns out, there is a prominent American featured in an ISIS recruiting video and that person is Bill Clinton.
[. . .]
A new ISIS recruiting video, titled “No Respite” has been released. The video is interesting because it lays out in very plain terms how ISIS views itself. Anyone who views this an can still say that ISIS is not truly Islamic is either a liar or a blithering idiot.

It Is Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, Not Donald Trump, In An ISIS Recruiting Video [VIDEO]

The nadir of [Hillary Clinton's] performance occurred when she said the following:
“I worry greatly that the rhetoric coming from the Republicans, particularly Donald Trump, is sending a message to Muslims here in the United States — and literally around the world — that there is a clash of civilizations, that there is some kind of Western plot or war against Islam, which then, I believe, fans the flames of radicalization.”
“He is becoming ISIS’s greatest recruiter. They are going to people, showing videos of Donald Turmp insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists.”
[. . .]
So yes; Hillary has been caught in yet another in her endless string of lies. The sad thing about it? ISIS is using someone in their recruiting videos, and that person is near and dear to Hillary’s heart. In fact, he’s her husband, former President Bill Clinton.
In a recent recruitment clip, ISIS outlines its goals, describes its enemies and boasts of its long ties to a mysterious religion Democrats refer to as “not-Islam.”

Baltimore's Image Deceiving, It's Worse

[From article]
At the center of much of the controversy here is Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby, a recently elected 35 year-old rookie with little criminal experience. Her husband represents the city council district where Gray was injured. The Gray case is a daunting debut.
The lawyers defending the six police officers have blasted what they perceive as the prosecutor’s gaffes and the “media frenzy” here as they campaign for a change of venue.
In recent weeks, Mosby might have benefited from a handler. She appears to enjoy the limelight. After the riots, she appeared on stage with Prince at a concert to commemorate Gray, was interviewed by Vogue magazine, photographed by celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz (yes, that Annie Leibovitz) and served as ringmaster for a circus. That last move prompted an obvious headline: “From Media Circus to Real Circus.” To add to the weirdness, a videotape surfaced of Mosby on Judge Judy when she was a student. She won that case. Mosby’s due to address a national meeting of the NAACP in Philadelphia this week.
[. . .]
Citizens from suburbia and out of state write to the Baltimore Sun and various websites vowing they will never come to the city again. Attendance at public events is off. Students accepted at local colleges and universities are said to be thinking twice about coming here.
Baltimore woke up on the Monday after the July 4 weekend to read a lively op-ed piece in the Baltimore Sun by a citizen who said he’d been mugged and his bicycle stolen. That’s not a big deal here. What was a big deal was that after first getting the run-around from the 911 operator, he walked to the southwestern district police station. There, he was told the station was closed from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. For safety reasons. He complained to the police, and they argued that he’d actually been mugged in another district (an old police trick here) and took him there. But as it would happen, that station was also closed for safety reasons. The op-ed complaint seemed to work. On Tuesday, the police said the district stations would remain open 24 hours a day.

Muslim PR Flack Denies Growth of Muslim Terror

Here is a creative propaganda account of terrorist acts, using statistics. The system used to make his case is something like, "Let's count the number of terrorist acts by Muslim terrorists. How many of them were Muslim?" Um, all of them? He says none of them. In the years leading up to the National Socialist Party in Germany electing Adolf Hitler chancellor in 1933, the usual propaganda was they were only a few extremists. No need to worry about them. Here a Muslim propagandist denies that Muslims are Muslims, if they commit an act of terror in the name of Islam. Then they become non Islamist. That is his logic. Good for him. There are dumbed down Americans who will believe what he says.

White House Goals, Good Media Images

[From article]
Saying before the 2012 elections that "bin Laden is dead" and that terrorism was defeated accomplished the goal of getting reelected.
[. . .]
Generations of Americans yet unborn may curse us all for leaving them hostage to a nuclear terrorist Iran. But generations yet unborn do not vote, so they carry no weight with Barack Obama.
[. . .]
There is always someone else to blame for whatever goes wrong in the Obama administration. Supposedly the intelligence services had not kept him informed about how imminent the ISIS threat was. But others who received top-secret briefings by the intelligence services say otherwise.
[. . .]
If you start from the assumption that Barack Obama wanted to advance America's interests, this is truly an unbelievable record of failure. But what is there in Obama's background that would justify the assumption that America's best interests are his goal?
He has, from childhood on, been mentored by, or allied with, people hostile to the United States and to American values. His mentors and allies have all been very much like the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, even if they were not as flamboyant.
Barack Obama has succeeded in reducing America's military strength while our adversaries are increasing theirs, and reducing our credibility and influence with our allies. That is completely consistent with his vision of how the world ought to be,
[. . .]
Everything in Barack Obama's history suggests that he is going to leave the job half done, so long as that gets the issue off the front pages and off the TV newscasts.

Media Image of Disability As Cause of Violence

For hundreds of years persons accused of mental illness were believed to be dangerous and violent. In this alleged era of enlightenment, the Information Age in American history, that false belief remains pervasive.

Some forum each day brings more "reports" of persons accused of mental illness committing heinous crimes. In April 2012 in New York City, a 19-year-old college student allegedly beat his writer mother to death in their midtown home.

The next day journalists revealed that he was taking anti depressants and epilepsy medications. One problem with the delicious psychiatric medications is that no one knows a proper dosage to "heal" mental illness. More problematic is that they are often prescribed with other medications. No one knows the effects of the drug cocktails on human brains.

[from article]
"Fordham student Henry Wachtel, 19, was on the epilepsy drugs Keppra and Lamictal, the steroid prednisone, an unnamed anti-depressant and other meds when he pummeled Karyn Kay to death in their Midtown apartment, the sources said."

http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/manhattan/son_killer_meds_pAw7YGzyoIlzaxgrjJr9kM

Even the drug company controlled FDA requires a warning label on some psychiatric drugs, saying they may cause violent thoughts and suicidal thoughts. That is an improvement over the the industry's vigorous denial that drugs are in any way connected to violence.

The psychiatric industry promotes its mentor's interests saying that if one stops taking the drugs it is dangerous and may cause violence. But if stopping taking drugs causes violence why start? The same can be said about alcohol, cocaine, meth, LSD and other recreational drugs.

Journalists demonize the victims of the psychiatric abuse as violent due to the diagnoses of the perpetrators. But it is getting more and more apparent that the psychiatric industry is the cause of violence by encouraging vulnerable, troubled, harmless people to take dangerous chemicals.

Harvard University's Graduate School of Education’s (HGSE) student organization on International Higher Education and Disability (IHED) is hosting a symposium entitled The Power of Portrayal: A Panel Discussion on the Image of People with Disabilities in the Media. The panel will address the impact of media images of disability on the educational, psychological, and social development of students. As students with disabilities are increasingly included in classrooms with non-disabled peers, the need for a candid conversation on the influence of media and popular culture on students’ perception of disability becomes increasingly necessary. We are excited to explore this important topic with a panel of distinguished guests.

Panelists will include:

DR. TOM HEHIR, Pascucci Professor of Practice in Learning Differences at HGSE
PROFESSOR JOE BLATT, Senior Lecturer in Education and Director of the Technology in Education Program at HGSE
DEAN TOM FIEDLER, Dean of the College of Communications at Boston University

The panel will take place on Friday, April 13 [2012] at 2pm in the Eliot Lyman Room in Longfellow Hall, Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Media Image of Disability

The psychiatric industry tarnished its pristine image by promoting too many fake illnesses. Its corporate drug industry PR flacks conducted a new campaign to repair the image. "Mental illness are a result of chemical imbalances in the brain," they said. Journalists obediently and without skepticism reported this fantasy as if it was scientific fact.

Doctors, lawyers, judges, police and ordinary citizens accepted this fantasy into their propaganda filled brains, and repeated it. As German philosopher Josef Goebbels observed, this fantasy became accepted as truth.

In 2003 a group of persons accused of mental illness conducted a hunger strike. They demanded the American Psychiatric Association provide evidence of "a chemical imbalance" as the basis for mental illness. They were unable to do that.

[link to brief story]
http://www.freedom-center.org/hunger-strike-freedom-psychiatry

Logically it does not make sense. Psychiatric industry PR flacks said a chemical imbalance indicates mental illness. But how did they know that? They said, "We have pictures of the brain." But photographic images are not chemistry.

No one did an examination of brain matter drilling holes in people's heads and then testing the brain matter. No one. But even if they did, they had no chemical balance against which to measure.

It was a successful marketing campaign based on pure wind. George Orwell said, "Political language. . . is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind." How is psychiatric language different from political language?

Media Makes the Politicians?

Obama snubbed NY Gov. Paterson showing his love for Cuomo. Are Obama and Cuomo products of media images?

"If you think Cuomo's probe of Lewis is misguided, consider some of his other pet projects. He investigated the bond-rating agencies -- which slapped all those Triple-A ratings on near-worthless mortgage debt -- without forcing the raters to do anything more than make some marginal added disclosures. The raters' conflicted business model of being paid by the companies they're rating remains firmly intact.
[. . .]
Cuomo's record isn't all bad. Early in his career, he broke with conventional wisdom and issued a report showing how the homeless were afflicted with mental illness or drug addiction, rather than simply down on their luck.
[In]
his days at the Department of Housing and Urban Development. As I show in my upcoming book, as HUD secretary, Cuomo was a major player in prodding mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to guarantee more risky loans, including subprime loans."
