I would use names, but I am confident if American Public Square ran a comparable event in other cities, the four Muslim advocates -- the moderator included -- would espouse almost identical views. They represent a type. So too did the overwhelmingly liberal audience. I could have written their questions for them.
These American Public Square debates feature an active online fact checker and a civility bell. I was a little queasy about the civility bell, but I welcomed the fact checker. He proved to be my greatest ally.
The state rep did a fine job. As an elected official he had to be a little cautious, but he made his case about terror and immigration well.
My strategy was a little different. Knowing that I was not about to convert anyone, I thought I could at least confuse the audience members with the truth, and the truth is that their affection for Islam makes no apparent sense. This proved to be a difficult assignment, and here is why.
In attempting to establish my premise, I said to the panel, “Muslims are culturally very conservative around the world,” adding rhetorically, “Is that fair to say?”
This premise struck me as inarguable. My fellow panelists felt otherwise. The two women, both wearing Hijabs, and the moderator all shouted out “No” or some variant. Said I, “When it comes to issues like family, women, abortion, gay rights, you’re telling me they’re not conservative?”
The moderator admonished me. “Jack,” he said, “you’re asking a question, and they didn’t give you the answer you want.” He then challenged me to make my case or move on.
Knowing there was a fact checker, I pulled out my one file card and read through the numbers from Pew Research Foundation, a liberal but generally reliable source. When asked about gay rights, 87 percent of Germans approved but no more than 9 percent of Muslims in any country surveyed and as little as 2 percent in some.
On the question of whether a women should always obey her husband, 87 percent of Muslims approved. On the question of whether apostates should be executed, 56 percent of Muslims who approved of Sharia law said yes. Asked whether they held “highly unfavorable” views of Jews, 99 percent of Jordanians and 100 percent of Lebanese sad yes. The fact checker could not deny what I was saying.
My fellow panelists could and did. They protested that these attitudes did not reflect American Muslims, but I had to repeat that I began my discussion by saying these surveys were done in the countries that comprise our immigration pool, and that the threat of immigration motivated the anti-Muslim sentiment about which they complained.

I kept returning to the transparently separate standards liberals held for traditional Christians and traditional Muslims. I pointed out, for instance, that the Kansas City Star designated a prominent liberal pastor a “drum major for justice” for his denunciation of the Christian right as “a threat far greater than the old threat of Communism.”
The fact checker confirmed that to be an exact quote. And the threat the pastor alluded had nothing to do with violence. No, what troubled him was that Christian conservatives were running for office. They were "anti-pornography," he warned, and opposed -- he noted daintily -- a woman's "having a say about what goes on in her own body."
Had he said something half as outrageous about Muslims, he would have lost his pulpit, if not his head. Focusing his spite on Christians, however, got his speech excerpted in the New York Times and won him the Harry S. Truman Good Neighbor Award.

“There is an element of disingenuousness about this conversation tonight,” I replied. I pointed out that there are millions of Muslims who subscribed to ISIS or who supported ISIS “To make believe that there is not a religious thread to this,” I concluded, “is to deceive ourselves.”
“What’s disingenuous is to blithely say there are millions,” the moderator snapped back. He then made the fatal mistake of asking for a fact check on my numbers. Said the fact checker, “Pew says 63 million Muslims support the Islamic State in the eleven Muslim countries polled.”
“That,” I said with my final words, “is a lot of Muslims.”

“Where the high standards of conduct the IDF sets for its personnel have not been met incidents are investigated, including criminal investigations, through an independent mechanism under the oversight of the democratic institutions of the State of Israel. This mechanism clearly meets the requirements of legal recourse, judicial independence and democratic oversight that our own nations set for ourselves.”

The team of overseas military experts reported on Hamas thus,
“Hamas not only flagrantly disregarded the Law of Armed Conflict as a matter of course as part of its terrorist-army hybrid strategic concept, but rather it abused the very protections afforded by the law for military advantage. Hamas indiscriminately targeted Israeli civilians throughout the conflict with extensive rocket fire and willfully sought to draw the IDF into battle in a prepared urban stronghold amid the Palestinian civilian population in Gaza, for which it located its operational headquarters in Gaza’s main hospital.”

Despite the UN statistics, which were adopted lies provided by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, a de factor Hamas Gaza, the real Gazan casualty figures show that 60% were men of fighting age, that many of the “children” quoted in the false figures were actually men in their 20s, that many Gazans were killed by Palestinian rockets aimed at Israel short-falling within Gaza and there is video evidence of Hamas conducting public executions of non-compliant Palestinians.

"We’ll soon learn whether the old- fashioned liberals have what it takes to stand up to the Maoists. So far, it’s not looking good." This was exhibited at Harvard Law School in November 2015. Pieces of black tape were found on images of black faculty and one woman at their newest classroom building, Wasserstein Hall. Police investigated the hate crime. Law students demanded Dean Martha Minow recognize the horrific racist crime. She caved and stated there is a serious racism problem at Harvard Law School. One more example, Wolfe and Loftin at U Missouri, of what Roger Morris recognized in his book, Partners in Power. The preferred leader is weak with relaxed rectitude. Not just deans, and college presidents, but police chiefs, governors, CEOs, etc. They are easier to manipulate as Minow shows.

The Occupy movement of 2011 was a mostly white, somewhat undirected kick against capitalism by a generation enamored of social media but unsure how to communicate effectively. Occupy had no official leaders, no clear policy agenda, and no real point other than to provide a channel for its supporters’ inchoate rage at how the world works. Occupy soon withered away from boredom and incoherence, but the millennial generation’s budding leftists learned that they had an appetite for protest. All they needed was another cause.

The typical American college campus is run by cadres of old-fashioned liberals—not revolutionaries, just plain old American liberals who like mom, apple pie, FDR, LBJ, and Obama. At the higher levels of administration and on boards of trustees and overseers, you may even find the odd moderate Republican. What you don’t find many of are radicals such as those that have been videotaped abetting the anti-free-speech temper tantrums in Missouri.
We’ll soon learn whether the old- fashioned liberals have what it takes to stand up to the Maoists. So far, it’s not looking good.

While the people in the prison he was talking about were really drug dealers and violent felons, Obama, was repeating the liberal lie that the prisons are full of folks who just smoked a joint and got caught.
Liberals are five times more likely to use marijuana and cocaine than conservatives. A natural consequence of drug use is fear of the police. While the U.S. has an overly soft policy towards drug users, users are nonetheless afraid of the consequence of getting caught breaking the law. This fosters in liberals an anti-cop mentality, since the police are the agents of society that enforce society’s laws against drug use.

During Prohibition Americans who liked to drink lost respect for the police. Anyone who likes to do things that are illegal is going to develop a distaste for the men and women in blue who enforce the law. It’s a natural consequence of the fact that human nature is such that we usually try and rationalize our behavior by scapegoating someone else.
The problem is exacerbated because for many liberals, such as Obama, drug use began when they were highly impressionable teens; biases developed at a young age are often much harder to escape than those developed later in life.

Coulter repeats a misguided conclusion every time she argues that a psychiatric diagnosis is causally connected with crime or violence. She may believe it but that does not make it true. Liberals blame guns. Conservatives blame psychiatric diagnoses. She recognizes psychiatrists are unable to distinguish between sanity and insanity. It is an arbitrary standard. Coulter seldom recognizes that psychiatric drugs may be an influence, have a causal connection to crime or violence. If extremist liberals designated her crazy, as many of them do, and sent a psychiatrist to support their concerns. Are there any psychiatrists who would willingly commit her? This argument needs more study as the academics say.

The media act as if they’re performing a public service by refusing to release details about the perpetrator of the recent mass shooting at a community college in Oregon. But we were given plenty of information about Dylan Roof, Adam Lanza, James Holmes and Jared Loughner.
Now, quick: Name the mass shooters at the Chattanooga military recruitment center; the Washington Navy Yard; the high school in Washington state; Fort Hood (the second time) and the Christian college in California. All those shootings also occurred during the last three years.



The answers are: Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez, Kuwaiti; Aaron Alexis, black, possibly Barbadian-American; Jaylen Ray Fryberg, Indian; Ivan Antonio Lopez, Hispanic; and One L. Goh, Korean immigrant. (While I’m here: Why are we bringing in immigrants who are mentally unstable?)
There’s a rigid formula in media accounts of mass shootings: If possible, blame it on angry white men; when that won’t work, blame it on guns.

After the fact, scores of psychiatrists are always lining up to testify that the defendant was legally insane, unable to control his actions. That information would be a lot more helpful before the wanton slaughter.

Barack Obama and the Defense of Marriage Act is a glaring example. DOMA was the law of the land, but Mr. Obama's Justice Department refused to enforce the law, and the Department was the only agency responsible for its enforcement.

Governor Mike Huckabee's response is creative and shocks the automated thinking of jurists. Mr. Huckabee is pointing out that Kim Davis should not have been held in contempt of court because there is currently no law a court could order her to obey. Mr. Huckabee asks the question: under what law does Kim Davis have authority to issue same-sex marriage licenses?
The argument is legally valid. The judiciary's role is to decide individual disputes between parties. The courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court, do not write laws. The legal system sort of operates under the mistaken notion that all High Court rulings somehow automatically become the law of the land.

Justices Elena Kagan and Ruth Bader Ginsburg had, prior to sitting and voting on the same-sex marriage case (Obergefell v. Hodges, 2015), officiated same-sex marriages.

The Court's ruling is not valid for that reason alone. State governments may reasonably consider the ruling void ab initio.

Instead of agreeing that same-sex marriage is "the law of the land," conservative candidates might want to remind reporters that 30 states went through the arduous process of amending their constitutions to protect their time-honored definitions of marriage.

Shameful the women's movement/lobby is only for liberal elitists. Not only Alison Parker, and Kathryn Steinle are unimportant to them. They ignore Carly Fiorina. When Donald Trump asked Jorge Ramos if he would deport the worst, murderous illegals, Ramos was mute. Among Ramos, La Raza, and the pro-invasion left, the message is sent that illegals are entitled to steal the happiness they see in America. They don't have to earn it; they don't have to wait in line; just rip it off. When venerated leaders like Ramos tell jealous and uneducated people they have the right to steal, can the right to rape and murder be far behind?

There are innumerable instances of heightened concern for black and homosexual crime victims and indifference, sometimes seemingly intentionally callous, for the families of white Americans and Christians who are killed. Remember, this is the state that two years ago admitted to annually handing out at least $1.8 billion in welfare to illegal aliens. That of course is money well spent, because it’s for non-working, non-English-speaking non-citizens. What could possibly be fairer than that?

Let's look at some of the ways white liberals use black people. One of the more obvious ways is for liberals to equate any kind of injustices suffered by homosexuals and women to the black struggle for civil rights. But it is just plain nonsense to suggest any kind of equivalency between the problems of homosexuals and women and the centuries of slavery followed by Jim Crow, lynching, systematic racial discrimination and the blood, sweat and tears of the black civil rights movement.
The largest and most powerful labor union in the country is the National Education Association, with well over 3 million members. Teachers benefit enormously from their education monopoly. It yields higher pay and lower accountability. It's a different story for a large percentage of black people who receive fraudulent education. The NEA's white liberals — aided by black teachers, politicians and so-called black leaders — cooperate to ensure that black parents who want their children to have a better education have few viable choices.

A man from Mars, knowing nothing about homicide facts, would conclude that the major problem black Americans have with murder and brutality results from the behavior of racist policemen. According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, there are about 200 police arrest-related deaths of blacks each year (between 300 and 400 for whites). That number pales in comparison with the roughly 7,000 annual murders of blacks, 94 percent of which are committed by blacks. The number of blacks being murdered by other blacks is of little concern to liberals. Their agenda is to use arrest-related deaths of blacks to undermine established authority.

Liberals desperately need blacks. If the Democratic Party lost just 30 percent of the black vote, it would mean the end of the liberal agenda. That means blacks must be kept in a perpetual state of grievance in order to keep them as a one-party people in a two-party system. When black Americans finally realize how much liberals have used them, I'm betting they will be the nation's most conservative people. Who else has been harmed as much by liberalism's vision and agenda?

the latest leftist initiative to turn us against our nature occurred in California last month, when the democratically elected hegemony banned (after first demonizing) all single-use plastic bags. That an overwhelming majority of Californians oppose the ban is beside the point. Such is the arrogance of tyrants, petite and grand.

The left counters, “Yes, but banning plastic bags will significantly reduce energy use and waste.” For argument's sake, let's say it's true (it isn't). It's still a non sequitur.
Banning anything will reduce energy use and another person's definition of “waste.” If we really want to reduce energy use and waste, let's ban refrigerators larger than 10 cubic feet, homes larger than 1,000 square feet, automobiles with more than 150 horsepower engines. Better yet, let's ban refrigerators, traditional stick homes, and automobiles. Bury your food, live in a mud hut, ride the horse to work. There's no limit to the ways energy use and waste can be reduced. And if you want to go all in, if you are truly serious about the cause, simply die. There's nothing more outside dying you can do to reduce energy use and waste.
Because too few Californians were stupid enough to fall for sophistry, sophistry was legislated from above.
Of course, an intellectual movement favoring filth is nothing new. Many towns and municipalities have long required their citizens to separate glass, plastic, and paper and set them aside in clearly marked bins.

In the history of our nation, only the pro-slavery Democrats of the 19th century rival the political deception employed by today’s liberals that lead the modern Democrat Party. Support of everything from abortion, to gender perversions, homosexuality, pornography, a redefinition of marriage, wicked climate policies, and an enslaving welfare state have made today’s Democrat Party little more than a modern-day Mephistopheles. Instead of magic to lure their Faustian targets, today’s Democrats employ, among other things, bribery, class warfare, fear, greed, lust, propaganda, scientism, vengeance, and violence.
This is really unsurprising. When your politics regularly conflict with absolute truth, constant deception is required. The evidence is, of course, all around us.

When conservatives oppose any proposed social program that benefits African-Americans more than others, they are called "racist". Opposing President Obama or Eric Holder is racist. When the Bush administration tried to investigate Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, that was racist. The investigation could have saved hundreds of billions.
1) Democracy – The liberals frame America as a Democracy. It is a constitutional republic. The Democrats are delighted that the media refers to the USA as a democracy -- a term that is nearly identical to the term “Democrat”. In a child’s mind, the obvious choice in a democracy is to be a Democrat. In a democracy, the majority gets what it wants. In our constitutional republic, the minority's rights are guaranteed in the constitution and are protected by the courts. The USA has never been a democracy.

Among ideological groups, conservative Republicans sympathized with Israel over Palestinians by a 77-percent to 4-percent margin. In contrast, just 39 percent of liberal Democrats said they sympathized with Israel, compared with 21 percent who said they sympathized more with Palestinians.
The widening partisan gap is difficult news for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee*, a lobbying group that attempts to preserve the strong relationship between Israel and the United States by making support for Israel into a bipartisan issue.
But as conservative Republicans continue to push the party into an increasingly pro-Israel direction, liberals who believe that U.S. policy is too reflexively supportive of Israel and too unsympathetic to Palestinians are gaining influence within the Democratic Party.

Simple arithmetic demonstrates that if the 12 percent reporting rate is correct, the 20 percent assault rate is preposterous. Mark Perry of the American Enterprise Institute notes, for example, that in the four years 2009 to 2012 there were 98 reported sexual assaults at Ohio State. That would be 12 percent of 817 total out of a female student population of approximately 28,000, for a sexual assault rate of approximately 2.9 percent — too high but nowhere near 20 percent.
