New York Mayor Blames Billionaires For "The Problems in This Country"

George Soros, billionaire. Is he the cause of the nation's problems?

[From article]
The world is on fire, America is deeply divided and deeper in debt, and many city schools are failure factories — but Bill de Blasio has the answer.
“I think billionaires are a lot of the cause of the problems in this country,” he declares.
It has been said that to a hammer, everything is a nail. So it is with New York’s Leftist-in-Chief, whose warped worldview is shaped by resentment of other people’s money.
He’s got a giant chip on his shoulder about wealth and doesn’t like it when the rich resist his agenda. How dare they spend their money to oppose him!
From there it follows that their politics are illegitimate, and that he has every right to use the power of his office to defeat them. And despite state and federal investigations into whether he sold favors to some of those very same wealthy people, he’s absolutely convinced he’s done nothing wrong.
Those are the main takeaways from the mayor’sbreathtaking remarks to journalist Harry Siegel. His report of the 40-minute chat in de Blasio’s office begins with Siegel noticing a box of vinyl records on the floor, led by The Clash’s 1980 album, “Sandinista!”
Hmmm, so the old Warren Wilhelm Jr. changed his name (twice) and put on a suit, but he’s still a Sandinista at heart.
[. . .]
And so de Blasio orders end runs around campaign laws because he’s trying to make the city “more fair.” Or, as he put it after engineering a second consecutive rent freeze for more than 1 million privately-owned apartments, “We are turning the tide to keep this a city for everyone.”
The socialists of yore would confiscate those apartments. The new ones just dictate the terms the owners must follow, as if the laws of economics, or the tides, can be repealed.
The existing impression that de Blasio is consumed with class warfare is reinforced time and again in the interview, as he returns repeatedly to his bogeymen — rich opponents.
“When I came into office,” he tells Siegel, “I had every reason to believe, given what I talked about in the campaign and given the many, many voices that spoke up against my agenda that happened to have a lot of money and power, we would soon experience a lot of very strong opposition.”
It began, he claims, “in the spring of 2014 when a number of hedge-fund figures funded an advertising campaign against me in terms of charter schools. So that very real concern that we would experience a kind of moneyed opposition that previous mayors have not was quickly proven real.”
Let’s unpack that lie wrapped in a justification. De Blasio won 75 percent of the 2013 vote, and there was no organized opposition, moneyed or otherwise.
[. . .]
And there is more than a whiff of hypocrisy in his fund-raising. The mayor and his team raised millions for their slush-funds by soliciting donations from the very rich he so obviously detests.
Perhaps his remarks will be a wake-up call to his donors, who serve as useful idiots to his agenda. Of course, the businesses and developers who ponied up the cash wanted a favor in return, and the crux of the investigations is whether the mayor committed crimes in the process.
At least until the probes are resolved, New Yorkers are captive to a mayor who thinks the city would be nirvana if he had no opposition. He wants the city and state to be “like California, where Democrats have consolidated power” and hungers for “the maximum Democratic leadership and the maximum progressive policy.”
Here’s the truth. The People’s Republic of New York is already a one-party town, yet nirvana has never seemed more distant.

Nobody Here But Us Chickens, Couldn't Have Been Me

[From article]
President Barack Obama has accused Britain and France, and unnamed others countries, of being "free riders," unwilling to put "skin in the game."
It was startling to read the article by Jeffrey Goldberg and his candid interview and portrait of President Barak Obama in the issue of Atlantic Magazine of March 10, 2016. It is an unusual criticism, if in less brutal language than that of the Soviet dictator, but nevertheless an unprecedented attack on two supposed allies, Britain and France. The two countries, Obama implied, were trying to involve the U.S. in conflicts in which U.S. interests are not at stake.
[. . .]

As a candidate in the presidential elections, Obama pledged to get out of Iraq and Afghanistan. Throughout his presidency Obama has sought to avoid committing U.S. forces in foreign conflicts if possible, though he recognized the danger of al-Qaeda and threats to the State of Israel. As Jeffrey Goldberg reports it, Obama argued that the first task in international affairs of a U.S. president is "don't do stupid s***." Others might more appropriately see this as the rationalization for the refusal by the U.S. to exercise leadership as it has done since 1945.
Obama's international priorities are unusual. For him, ISIS is not an existential threat. But he views climate change as a threat to the entire world, and one that affects all the other problems we face. Seemingly less important, and almost an afterthought, is the long-term problem of "terrorism when combined with the problem of failed states."
[. . .]

Obama is right that Libya is still a "s*** show." It is a failed state with no real working government, with a large part of the country controlled by a variety of competing militias and terrorist groups. Obama blamed the failure on the degree of tribal division in Libya that was greater than his analysts had expected. Parenthetically, one wonders who these "analysts" were, since the tribal rivalries in Libya have been discussed in all serious commentary on the country.
More important, Obama blamed France and Britain for the present mess.
[. . .]
Surprisingly, Obama's chestnuts were pulled out of the fire by the decision of President Vladimir Putin to work for the successful removal of Syria's chemical weapons arsenal.
[. . .]

Obama has given various explanations for his failure to take action, but two are particularly interesting. One is the failure of Prime Minister Cameron to get consent of the British Parliament. Indeed, Cameron did not get the consent of the House of Commons, but this was in part due to the campaign of Labour leader Ed Miliband in August for Labour M.P.s to vote against U.K. air strikes.
The other is his rationale that the scope of executive power in national security issues is very broad but not limitless. This is a surprising argument from the president who has had no hesitation in issuing executive orders, so far 226, in domestic policy.
[. . .]
It is clear that for President Obama, the Middle East is not an area for U.S. priority. Equally, he does not advocate a leadership role in international affairs, even if it is sometimes expressed, though also sometimes denied, as "leading from behind." None of this excuses his blaming other countries and politicians for problems or deficiencies in the international arena. They are not pulling anyone's chestnuts out of the fire.

Black Activism Has Misguided Priorities

[From article]
As a black conservative, over the years I have written countless articles about how the Democratic Party has been duping my fellow black Americans. I have explained how America is the greatest land of opportunity on the planet for all who simply choose to go for it. I have dispelled the myth that white Americans are burning the midnight oil plotting ways to keep blacks down.
I have written endlessly about how blaming white America for issues plaguing blacks is wrong and fruitless. Real empowerment comes from taking personal responsibility for one’s life. Why sit around waiting for someone to do something to make your life better?
[. . .]
The new modern authentic blackness means hating and blaming America for every evil in the world. Black talking heads on TV from comedians to pundits preach a gospel of hate to black Americans: whitey is still out to get you – be angry and push back hard, because black lives matter.
Folks, it is all so evil, so divisive, and so frustrating. God help us.

Secret Service Agent Jailed For 6 Years For Theft of $800,000 Bitcoins, And Blaming Another For His Crime

Silk Road (pictured) was an underground website where people bought drugs and other illicit goods using Bitcoin digital currency.

[From article]
A former Secret Service agent has been sentenced to nearly six years in prison for his part in the theft of electronic currency during the high-profile investigation into the online drug bazaar Silk Road.
Shaun Bridges' attorneys had sought a three-year prison term, but U.S. District Judge Richard Seeborg said Bridges' behavior was a 'shocking and reprehensible abandonment of his public duty'.
'This to me is an extremely serious crime consisting of the betrayal of public trust by a federal law enforcement agent,' Seeborg said before issuing the 71-month prison sentence.
'And from everything I see, it was motivated entirely by greed.'
Bridges, who prosecutors said had previously spent time protecting the president's family, pleaded guilty in August to money laundering and obstruction charges and acknowledged stealing $820,000 worth of Bitcoin after getting access to Silk Road, the multimillion-dollar marketplace for illegal drugs and other contraband.
Bridges was part of a task force investigating Silk Road.
Prosecutors said in court Monday that Bridges then tried to pin the theft on a witness who was cooperating with the investigation, prompting Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht to take out hits on the witness' life.

Ann Coulter, Right On Media Distortion, Censorship; Wrong On Psychiatry

Coulter repeats a misguided conclusion every time she argues that a psychiatric diagnosis is causally connected with crime or violence. She may believe it but that does not make it true. Liberals blame guns. Conservatives blame psychiatric diagnoses. She recognizes psychiatrists are unable to distinguish between sanity and insanity. It is an arbitrary standard. Coulter seldom recognizes that psychiatric drugs may be an influence, have a causal connection to crime or violence. If extremist liberals designated her crazy, as many of them do, and sent a psychiatrist to support their concerns. Are there any psychiatrists who would willingly commit her? This argument needs more study as the academics say.

[From article]
The media act as if they’re performing a public service by refusing to release details about the perpetrator of the recent mass shooting at a community college in Oregon. But we were given plenty of information about Dylan Roof, Adam Lanza, James Holmes and Jared Loughner.
Now, quick: Name the mass shooters at the Chattanooga military recruitment center; the Washington Navy Yard; the high school in Washington state; Fort Hood (the second time) and the Christian college in California. All those shootings also occurred during the last three years.

The answers are: Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez, Kuwaiti; Aaron Alexis, black, possibly Barbadian-American; Jaylen Ray Fryberg, Indian; Ivan Antonio Lopez, Hispanic; and One L. Goh, Korean immigrant. (While I’m here: Why are we bringing in immigrants who are mentally unstable?)
There’s a rigid formula in media accounts of mass shootings: If possible, blame it on angry white men; when that won’t work, blame it on guns.
[. . .]

After the fact, scores of psychiatrists are always lining up to testify that the defendant was legally insane, unable to control his actions. That information would be a lot more helpful before the wanton slaughter.
[. . .]

Yes, according to the Treatment Advocacy Center, there are a grand total of 17 psychiatric beds even available, not necessarily being used. In 1955, there were 340.
[. . .]

But I notice that every mass murder is committed by someone who is mentally ill.

New York Lawyers and Politicians Argue Who Is To Blame For Abused Foster Children

Politicians and lawyers argue who is to blame while the children continue to be abuse victims. That is the way that government works. They all speak for the most vulnerable, while the children grow older and more abused. Instead of the Mayor and the Governor enjoying press conferences taking credit for what others do why not focus on at least stopping the abuse? No one expects any of the current office holders to improve the situation. But at least stop the bleeding. Can you do a little bit of that? Huh?

[From article]
Social service officials are turning a blind eye to the horrific physical and mental abuse of kids languishing in New York City’s foster care system — which is costing taxpayers more than $2.4 billion, according to a new class-action suit.
Around 11,000 city kids are stuck in “one of the most dangerous foster care systems in the country,” according to the Manhattan federal court filing.
The massive complaint — which runs to 256 pages with exhibits — alleges systemic violations of their “right to be free from harm” and other rights granted by the Constitution and various federal and state laws.

It was filed Wednesday on behalf of 10 foster kids, including “Eliza W.,” 16, who was 4 when she was taken from her abusive, 19-year-old mom by the city’s Administration for Children’s Services, or ACS, and was “shuffled … through so many foster placements that she is unable to account for all of them,” the suit says.
She also allegedly suffered repeated instances of sexual abuse, beatings and intentional starvation that were ignored by her caseworker — and led to her asking to be committed to a mental hospital in July 2014.
“Since her hospitalization, she has been placed on heavy doses of psychotropic medication; she reports that, as a result, she can barely string a sentence together and no longer looks people in the eye because she gets nervous,” court papers say.
[. . .]

The suit seeks a court order requiring that ACS immediately address “the systemic failures that have been plaguing New York City’s foster care system for too long.”
“That the responsible state and city officials have known about these problems and done nothing to fix them is inexcusable,” the suit says.
Defendants named in court papers include the city, ACS and the state Office of Children and Family Services.
[. . .]
Tami Steckler, head of the Legal Aid Society’s Juvenile Rights Practice, blasted the suit as “short-sighted” and warned that it could “stall the progress being made by those of us actually working with these families and children.”
“As the organization that represents almost all the children in New York City foster care, we have been working very closely with the current Commissioner to improve outcomes,” Steckler said in a prepared statement.
“This lawsuit is being brought by attorneys who have never represented clients in New York City’s foster care system, yet purport to know how to fix it, at a time when foster care numbers are at an all-time low and collaboration is at an all-time high.”

South Carolina Politician Blames Fox News For Mass Murder, Does Not Explain His Irrational Comment.

After every mass murder, misguided politicians, and journalists begin the blame game. Here a South Carolina state Rep. blames Fox News. Others blame guns. Still others blame mental illness. Few blame psychiatric drugs which has a causal connection to violence. Fewer still blame evil. Flip Wilson used to defend his character Geraldine after she bought an outrageous dress saying, "The devil made me do it." Then there was the Twinkie defense.

[From article]
On his Thursday “The O’Reilly Factor” program, host Bill O’Reilly took on South Carolina state Rep. Todd Rutherford (D-Columbia), who also serves as his House’s minority leader, for his comments earlier in the day broadcasted on CNN blaming the Fox News Channel for Wednesday’s deadly shooting at the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, SC.
“You said this Roof kid watches Fox News,” O’Reilly said. “Do you know that he watches Fox News?”
Rutherford downplayed the accusation and said that he said he watches things “like” Fox News.

Bill O'Reilly To Todd Rutherford Fox News Justifies Brutal Crimes Against Black Americans? todd Rutherford appeared on Fox News tonight, and Bill O’Reilly confronted him about those “disturbing” remarks. Rutherford stood by them and said there are a lot of black people disturbed by a lot of what Fox coers. O’Reilly really challenged Rutherford on what he’s talking about, who on Fox says what he thinks they say, and whether he’s honestly “equating what Dylann Roof did in that church to our commentary.”
Rutherford said that Fox is in the business of demonizing President Obama, playing up race issues in a negative way, and raising the birther issue. O’Reilly scolded Rutherford and said his friend the late reverend would not have “embraced that kind of rhetoric today.”
Watch the video below, via Fox News:Todd Rutherford, a South Carolina state legislator and a friend of one of the victims, spoke out on bill o'reilly on fox news about how “the rhetoric in South Carolina, the rhetoric nationwide, has led people to believe… that it’s okay to walk into a church and take nine lives.”
Rutherford spoke to bill o'reilly about the Charleston church shooting and the death of his friend Reverend Clementa Pinckney.
He said that South Carolina is part of the problem because there’s no hate crimes law and the Confederate flag flies at the capitol. Rutherford referred to networks using “coded language” before calling out one network in particular: “[The gunman] hears that because he watches the news and he watches things like Fox News, where they talk about things that they call news, but they’re really not. They use that coded language, they use hate speech, they talk about the president as if he’s not the president, they talk about churchgoers that they’re not really churchgoers. And that’s what this young man acted on. That’s why you can walk into a church and treat people like animals when they’re really human beings.”

Ex NYPD Commissioner Blames Eric "White people are cowards" Holder For War On Police

Former NYPD Commissioner Howard Safir

[From article]
"Speaking on “The Cats Roundtable” on AM 970, the commish for four years under Rudy Giuliani expressed hope for a federal inquiry into the Baltimore Police Department, which will be led by new Attorney General Loretta Lynch."
“Unfortunately, Eric Holder, the previous attorney general, had a war on police. He spent more time investigating police departments than he did investigating criminals,” Safir told host John Catsimatidis.

Israel As Scapegoat

[From article]
Revenge is underrated and denigrated in the post‑Christian Western world, but expected within unadulterated (or unmoderated) Muslim culture. Properly maintained expectations for Muslims allow the Israelis to persist within the world of Muslim honor- and shame‑driven societies. Quick reactions also permit Israelis to obtain some comfort in the deaths of their loved ones, because those left behind are able to say to themselves that many other lives were saved through their personal tragedies. The deaths of the three Israeli teenagers led to the 2014 summer’s full-scale conflict with Hamas in Gaza who took full responsibility for the boys’ abductions. By the time the conflict was over, the attack tunnels from Gaza into Israel had been discovered and destroyed so that much larger atrocities in the southern part of the country were averted. One such tunnel opened into Israel within a few hundred yards of a kindergarten, so the three Israeli teenagers can take credit in their deaths for saving the lives of the kindergarten children. This is not wishful thinking. Anyone who denies this chain of causality is lying to themselves and others.
[. . .]
To a subgroup of Muslims, dying while taking the lives of the enemy is called martyrdom, an exalted act. It is a great strategy for success in war, but not very good for the survival of the individual.
[. . .]
Anti‑Semites know it is the Jews’ irritable over‑reactions to death that make them responsible for any current conflicts and all others to which they were party in the past or will be party to in the future. The mechanism underpinning this belief is “Jews believe that Jewish lives are so much more important than other lives.” Such people get tired of hearing about the Holocaust and may openly resent or deny it. Every anti-Semite concerned with matters in the Middle East knows as well that the Jews’ sensitivity to loss interferes with a final solution to the problems there. If the Jews would just have the sense to lie down and shut up, death could again take on its more limited, less emotional meaning and its effects in the political realm could be minimized to the point that it was again just a matter of business. What in Netanyahu’s speech to Congress has most frightened worldly and important people was his insistence that he really and honestly and fervently meant “Never Again.”

U.S. Rep. Meeks (D-NY) Promotes False Narrative of Blame in Murders of Two NYPD Officers

[From article]
Meeks’ statements are categorically false.
Many of the coordinators of the demonstrations have unequivocally advocated for violence against police, as has been assiduously monitored and recorded by thousands of camera-wielding participants and media.
The forty or so buildings which were torched in Ferguson by hundreds to thousands of rioters make his “vast majority” statement improbable (the use of the phrase “vast majority” to alleviate a group’s responsibility for violence is a well-worn, intentionally vague and undefinable descriptor).
And Michael Brown’s stepfather supported the precise opposite of what Rep. Meeks claims he supported. He urged Ferguson protesters to “burn this b**** down”; supporters honored the request.

U.S. Senator Harry Reid Blames GOP For Ukraine Invasion

U.S. Senator Harry Reid

[From article]
Politics: Harry Reid blames Russia's annexation of Crimea on Republicans who didn't act fast enough on a sanctions package. But he ignores Obama's appeasement as president and push when a senator to disarm Ukraine.
The Senate Majority Leader's latest claim is consistent with other utterances out of his parallel universe, including calling Stage IV cancer patients liars about Obamacare's collateral damage and asking why we'd want to save one child with cancer.
"Since a few Republicans blocked these important sanctions, Russian lawmakers voted to annex Crimea, and Russian forces have taken over Ukrainian military bases," Harry Reid said Monday as the Senate began debate on a package of sanctions and aid.

Aaron Swartz's Suicide and Blame

[Updated January 20, 2013 10:35 PM ET
Updated January 21, 2013 2:50 PM ET]

Parents and attorneys blame the US Attorney in Boston for the suicide of Aaron Swartz (see below stories). They say it was a wrongful or malicious prosecution. Is this unique? What about the four white men prosecuted for a murder they did not commit? They were targeted by special agents of the Boston office of the FBI who knew they were innocent; and allowed one of their charming informants, Joseph “The Animal” Barbooza, to lie under oath to get the convictions. The four innocent men were sentenced to death. Two of the men Henry Tameleo, Louis Greco, died in prison after the death penalty was repealed in Massachusetts. Two, Joe Salvati and Peter Limone,  were released after 30 years. Why weren't the prosecutors and the FBI agents vilified in the media? It 's not that I disagree with the lamentations of the parents and attorneys, but I just don't understand the differences.

When US Attorneys in Boston refused to protect witnesses who reported crimes by Boston Irish American crime boss, James "Whitey" Bulger, why weren't they vilified? Bulger awaiting trial 20 years later, allegedly murdered 19 people, some of those who sought FBI protection. One of those US Attorneys went on to be Governor of Massachusetts. Others became US Judges. What about the hundreds if not thousands of young men (and women?) who are prosecuted, convicted and put into prison for crimes they did not commit? Because they did not kill themselves no officials are vilified and blamed for the harms done to the individuals and to their families? What about the many young men and women who kill themselves after being arrested and held for arraignment? One woman petitioned the Cambridge police for years to learn why her son  killed himself in a city holding cell. The police were uncooperative.

At least all of them were extended due process protections including Mr. Swartz. They knew the charges against them and were able to defend themselves in a court with attorneys who helped them defend themselves. Swartz had a woman friend who assisted him.

For 40 years so far government thugs and private yahoos conducted and conduct relentless character assassination followed by punishment for the allegations. Local police and FBI informants participate with the absence of Notice, no Due Process, no Trial. Just non stop harassment. Many of the charming omniscient Harvard University students and their delightful campus cops join in. Some encourage me to kill myself. I refuse to do them or their employers the favor of ending my life. It costs them money and manpower to continue the criminal abuses and to cover up their crimes.

They disturb my sleep every day every two hours sometimes every one hour. Sometimes they keep me awake for 8 hours when I try to sleep. They put drugs in my foods contrary to law. Psychiatrists and psychologists employ sophisticated techniques to try to provoke violence and to make me insane. They use Communists who work with crime families to try to cause me to have a heart attack or a stroke. Local and state politicians join in the abuses.

So why is Aaron Swartz's suicide a higher priority than all of the other government abuses? The current US Attorney General and the President ignore the Constitution violating their oaths of offices. They enforce laws in a racist manner and yet they are praised by journalists and their colleagues among the elected criminal class. But also why the focus on the US Attorney? Why not on the criminal politicians who allegedly wrote the laws? Is the problem that these spineless egoists who run for office have no clue about what is in the bills that they make into laws? The monster (2700 pages) health care bill was passed into law without any of the 535 members of Congress or the President having read it. The so called fiscal cliff bill passed into law on January 1, 2013 was also unread and un-scrutinized. Politicians regularly pass laws which they have no time or interest to read. Journalists blame the officials who are paid, whose job it is to enforce those laws? Never mind the generalities passed into law allowing unelected bureaucrats to make the details up which often are counterproductive and lead to unintended consequences like suicide. Is this a public relations effort by the crime family which Bulger ran to discredit the US Attorney who is prosecuting him for homicides? Ever notice how so many journalists coincidently are now focused on one alleged mistake by a US prosecutor?

But for me the beat goes on every day  24/7, 365, and 366 on leap years. When one of the psychopaths get burned out from tormenting a white male with a legal disability over 60 years they bring in fresh blood and start it all over again and again. Always a psychopath or a cop or a superintendent disturbing my sleep tampering with US Mail, telephones and computer communications. Most of the time the primary harassers are from the three high priority victim groups. Black people, women and homosexuals. They even use illegal aliens on occasion. That is how crime families work to defer accountability. Black people are victims, and they are moral people. Women are victims, and moral people. Homosexuals are victims, and moral. They would not attack a vulnerable person. A white male? They are all guilty. Who sets the priorities? Who determines what laws get enforced and who gets prosecuted? Who decides who is allowed Due Process and who is allowed to defend themselves? Who decides who gets used as a human subject for medical research without consent?

Government psychiatrists working at prominent universities drugged me in 1973, using hallucinogens for 80 consecutive days without consent. They broadcast three cover stories for what they did. "He's a drug addict." "He had a nervous breakdown." "Teenagers put PCP in marijuana." That effectively ended any chance for a life. For the next 39 years police, crime families, FBI, Communists, did whatever they wanted to do, including but not limited to trying to kill me and trying to get me to kill myself. Relentless character assassination, and harassment. Were any of these psychiatrists vilified in the media?

In 1990 after I wrote to two local chiefs of police complaining about police harassment, the Cambridge, MA police arrested me, and held me for 78 days contrary to law. The lawyers paid to defend me were also paid not to defend me. A woman I dated for three months when I was a student in law school and her FBI  informant husband broadcast relentless character assassination for 30 years saying "He's a retired drug dealer." That was joined by FBI character assassination, "He's a racist." Ah yes. A racist drug dealer in New York. "I'm sorry. I only sell to white people." Yea. Uh Huh. And there is much more to tell. Aaron, you rest in  peace. You hear?
