White House Diverts Attention From Criminal Scandals With Non Gender Bathrooms

Agree that this is one of many issues used by PR flacks to divert attention, not just from important issues, but also from many criminal scandals of this lawless administration. What is extremely troubling is how alleged conservative pundits, including the erudite Mark Levin, no less the obedient mindless lame stream journalists, spend far too much time discussing these diversions.

[From article]
Let's add the battle over transgenders and bathrooms to Obama's favorite pastime of distractions.
To be honest, I think bathrooms are for boys and girls. This is why we identify them as such on the door. Furthermore, women are entitled to a sense of privacy about going to a public bathroom.
Most important of all, this is an issue that should be settled by state legislatures. We don't need a Roe v. Wade about bathrooms.

Let North Carolina decide. Let them figure this out, and they will.
In the meantime, the Obama administration should use its time to deal with real issues, such as:
1) Obamacare premiums: The rates are going up from coast to coast. They are about to explode in 2017.
[. . .]
2) The last GDP number started with a zero. In fact, the U.S. economy is weaker than anticipated:
[. . .]
3) The battles vs. ISIS is not going well. In fact, the public does not think we are winning, and with good reason.

So what do you do when Obamacare premiums are crushing family budgets, or the economy is losing steam and the wars on drugs and terror are lacking a strategy?
The answer is that you find topics to distract your base with, such as getting into a war with North Carolina over bathrooms.
Our Founding Fathers got this right many years ago. They gave the federal government certain responsibilities and left the rest to the states. This bathroom issue is for the states, and the Justice Department should get back to doing something important, such as enforcing immigration laws.

Cambridge, MA City Council Condemns Published Article

Clever changing focus to First Amendment. Issue is whether a Cambridge City Councilor is linked to a terror group. No discussion of that by the Council. Is it true? Councilor Mazen does not deny he is so linked. The City Council ignores the issue, instead attacks a news venue. In 1993 R.W. Apple received an award from the Neiman Foundation at Harvard. I asked Mr Apple, at the event why the "irresponsible" media, his term, often turned out to be accurate in their reporting, while the "responsible" media, e.g., the New York Times was often wrong. The National Enquirer (designated irresponsible) revealed John Edwards impregnated his videographer, while running for President. Like Bill Clinton, Edwards denied it on television. The Cambridge City Council declared Breitbart to be an “illegitimate tabloid.” William Bulger blamed Boston tabloids for circulating rumors about him and his brother, serial killer James "Whitey" Bulger. After name calling is done, is CAIR terror linked or not? The FBI says it is. The British government says it is. Councilor Mazen is silent. Will name calling reveal the truth as it does on the Harvard University campus? Is the matter unacceptable for City Council deliberations?

[From article]
In a resolution passed last month, Cambridge’s City Council publicly denounced the right-wing media organization Breitbart.com for spreading what it called “anti-Muslim libel” after the outlet published an article asserting that a City councillor has ties to the Islamic militant group Hamas.
Breitbart’s November article, entitled “Hamas on the Charles,” claims that City Councillor Nadeem A. Mazen is connected to Hamas through his work as a founding director of the Massachusetts chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Muslim advocacy organization.
The council’s December 7 resolution, proposed by Councillor Dennis J. Carlone, characterized Breitbart as an “illegitimate tabloid” that should be disregarded.
“Breitbart.com has a history of outrageous and sensationalized journalism designed for shock value but which has no proven basis in truth whatsoever,” the resolution reads.
[. . .]
Sam Westrop, one of the authors of the Breitbart article, said he does not believe his article is libelous.
“For it to be libel, something would have to be untrue and unfortunately everything we’ve written is true,” said Westrop, who is the research director of Americans for Peace and Tolerance, a group that frequently criticizes Islamist extremism. “This unprecedented attack on media criticism of a public official is highly unusual.”
In response to the December resolution, Breitbart published a second article written by another author titled “War: Cambridge, Massachusetts City Council Censures Breitbart News.” The article claims the resolution is an “affront to the First Amendment” and defends the site’s original story as factual.
Mark V. Tushnet ’67, a Harvard Law School professor specializing in constitutional law, wrote in an email that he “doubt[s] that the city council's resolution could be fairly called even an affront to First Amendment values.” Mazen also said he does not believe the resolution is a “free speech matter”; nor does Westrop, who said “no one has removed the article or stopped us from speaking.”

Republican Trump Derangement Syndrome Misguided

[From article]
What Trump's Republican detractors don't realize is that their Trump Derangement Syndrome is playing directly into the left's hands. That's because the Obama administration and the Clinton campaign, overwhelmed by the Islamic terrorist threat whose name they lack the moral courage to even utter, use the GOP's vociferous condemnation of Trump to distract Americans from the Democrats' abject failures.
It's perfectly reasonable for Trump's rivals to voice their disagreements with Trump. But there's a fine line between disagreeing with and joining the Democrats and the media in obsessively denouncing a single candidate.
[. . .]
Donald Trump's plan is dominating the news in spite of the fact that it will never materialize. Meanwhile, the Islamic terror threat that materialized on U.S. soil mere days ago is being ignored.
And this is precisely what Obama, Clinton, and their media allies want.
[. . .]
Polls overwhelmingly show that Americans don't have any confidence in Obama's anti-terrorism strategy. But instead of exploiting this glaring weakness, Republican candidates and pundits are frantically denouncing a candidate who has never held political office.
This is counterproductive to the common cause of educating Americans about Obama's failures, and it serves as a unique impetus for Obama and Clinton to advance the mendacious narrative that Donald Trump's rhetoric is aiding and abetting ISIS.
[. . .]
Obama does this because as a doctrinaire leftist, he believes that Western civilization in general and the U.S. in particular are ultimately responsible for most of the world's ills. The general thesis of his infamous 2009 Middle East apology tour was that if only the U.S. would stop doing all these bad things, world peace would take root. The fact that the world is far more dangerous now than when Obama was inaugurated represents the definitive refutation of this thesis.

Nothing To See Here. Look Over There! How Media Works In America

[From article]
I’m impressed by the coolness and steadiness of our media in suppressing any news about immigration. It’s as if they’ve built a triple-layer fence with border guards around immigration topics. And guess what? Their fence is working!
How many thousands of news stories have there been on Ferguson, ISIS, Chris Christie’s “Bridgegate” or men becoming women?

But the media will never tell you about Mexicans gang-raping a lesbian in Richmond, California, an Indian immigrant in San Francisco importing 12-year-old girls he bought from their parents for sex, or three children being beheaded by Mexicans in Baltimore.
Don’t Americans have a right to know about the cultures flooding into our country?
This isn’t a natural transformation. It is purely the result of government policy. But our media don’t care to discuss the issue. In fact, they get mad whenever Americans find out what they’re doing with immigration.
When Americans do think about immigration, they’re against it. In polls earlier this year, more Americans had a favorable opinion of North Korea than wanted to increase immigration. That’s why the media’s approach to immigration is to never talk about it.
[. . .]

What will happen if Matt Drudge ever goes on vacation? (Answer: You’ll be living in Mexico.)
[. . .]
But the media’s position is: If we don’t talk about immigration, it doesn’t exist.
Unfortunately, they’re right. Most people think about only what the media want them to think about. Everyone has developed a position on Ferguson, ISIS and gay marriage. This week, everyone has a position on a policeman’s confrontation with a black girl in a bikini at a pool party in Texas.
But no one is supposed to have an opinion about who gets to live, collect government benefits and vote in this country.
[. . .]

(Always look for “Man” in the headline to find the most appalling stories about immigrants.)
[. . .]
Democrats only need to keep it going until they have California-style majorities in every state, and then they’ll say, “Screw you, America. We did this deliberately, and now there’s nothing you can do about it.”
That’s exactly what the Labour government of Tony Blair did — as we found out in 2009. In public, Blair’s government claimed that the mass immigration of the Third World to Britain was absolutely crucial to the economy!
Once they were out of office, Blair adviser Andrew Neather admitted that their real objective had been “to rub the Right’s nose in diversity and render their arguments out of date,” as the London Telegraph reported in 2009.
[. . .]

If necessary, political and media elites will call you a “racist” for opposing their mass immigration policies. But they’d really rather that you just not find out what they’re doing to the country.

Fake Anti Homosexual Bias, Diverts Attention From Terrororist Dangers, Illegal Alien Swarms, Suicidal Economic Policies

[From article]
We saw a lot of intolerance last week, and it wasn't from the guy who didn't want to bake the cake.
[. . .]
My guess is that most Americans don't want government telling them whom to bake a cake for, whether it's a "Johnny loves Jimmy cake" or a cake mocking a religious figure like Jesus or Mohammed. No one should be required by government to bake a cake that insults his religious beliefs!
Furthermore, I think that a lot of Americans are fed up with being called "bigots" or "homophobes" because they disagree with same-sex marriage!
[. . .]
My message to the GOP: Support Indiana and religious freedom laws. The public is on your side.
My message to CEOs: a lot of your customers, a lot more than you realize, believe that you are first-rate cowards for not standing up to bullies.

Look for big backlash against 'gay intolerance'
By Silvio Canto, Jr.

* * *

[From article]
I think it’s time to consider whether, in an effort to undo state mandated discrimination against blacks, we have gone too far afield and should scale back the push to regulate discrimination against a variety of protected groups in the private sphere.
[. . .]
And frankly, it seems to have been at least one underlying theme of the attacks on Memories Pizza (and Chik-Fil-A some time ago.) In both instances no gays were denied service and gay rights were in my opinion a red herring, covering anti-property rights and moral sneering at white Christians under a veneer of protecting gay rights.

Washington DC Pols and Journalists Divert Attention to Foreign Violence, Ignoring Violence Here

[From article]
the very same Senate Democrats who claimed to oppose Obama’s amnesty when they were campaigning are currently filibustering a bill to defund it, and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is ready to cave.
ISIS has killed four Americans — in Syria. We’re not exactly talking about another 9/11. Here’s a tip: If you don’t want to be killed by ISIS, don’t go to Syria.
Meanwhile, illegal aliens have killed, raped, and maimed thousands of Americans — in America. If you don’t want to be killed, raped, or maimed by illegal immigrants in your own country, I have no tips for you. There’s nothing you can do. You’re on your own. Good luck.
[. . .]
Our politicians don’t care. They are obsessed with cleaning up the rest of the world, while we’re getting our clock cleaned at home.
Americans are at greater risk of being killed by Joran van der Sloot than by ISIS, since a lot more of us vacation in Aruba, as Natalee Holloway did, than in Syria.
[. . .]
With the media’s Soviet-style censorship about immigrant crime, unless a member of your immediate family has been killed by an illegal alien, you might not have noticed the growing death toll, but here are some small, below-the-fold local news items just from the last two weeks.
On Monday of this week, Jaime Balam, an illegal alien from Mexico, appeared in court in San Francisco to face charges that he shot three American college students, one fatally, because they happened to be wearing the wrong colors.

ISIS is not at our doorstep. Illegal immigrants are not only at our doorstep, but millions of them are already through the door, murdering far more Americans than ISIS ever will.
Sometimes people don’t want to be cleaning up the rest of the world.
[. . .]
Lenin seized power from Russia’s provisional leader, Alexander Kerensky, in 1917, because Kerensky would not stop fighting wars. By promising peace, Lenin won such widespread support from exhausted Russians that the Bolsheviks were able to overthrow the government in less than a day.
That’s what a lot of Americans thought they were voting for last November. Couldn’t we please focus on Americans for a bit? Can’t a Republican Congress do anything to stop the surge of foreign criminals, viruses and parasites crossing our border?

Police Use Secret Technology For Surveillance, Refuse to Admit It Exists and To Identify It

This is one of numerous high tech devices used by government for surveillance and for harassment. if this technology is for sale you can be certain that criminals have access to it, along with their government protectors. In recent months I have been unable to reach several government agencies to complain about police harassment and harassment by criminals. (Not that they will act or anything, but just so they cannot say I did not complain.) I suspect that technology is available and being used not only to listen in, to track and to gather meta data, but also to divert the calls. Land line calls can be diverted using computers, hacking into telephone company switches. This was reported several years ago by the New York Times. Criminals diverted calls to steal business from competitors. Over many years I would call a government agency and end up speaking to a Harvard University student. I suspect it is happening again. On occasion it is a Harvard University campus police employee. Other times it is an attorney employed by the university. And still others by persons pretending to be doctors. This is an area that most people can understand. But there are many other areas of technology used to inflict pain and to manipulate thought and human emotions. It is not written about and as in this case the government will deny it exists, do what it can to hide its existence, and its use. The ACLU is doing some work in this area. Their web site is at ACLU.org

[From article]
But before trial, his defense team detected investigators’ use of a secret surveillance tool, one that raises significant privacy concerns. In an unprecedented move, a state judge ordered the police to show the device — a cell-tower simulator sometimes called a StingRay — to the attorneys.
Rather than show the equipment, the state offered McKenzie a plea bargain.
[. . .]
McKenzie’s case is emblematic of the growing, but hidden, use by local law enforcement of a sophisticated surveillance technology borrowed from the national security world. It shows how a gag order imposed by the FBI — on grounds that discussing the device’s operation would compromise its effectiveness — has left judges, the public and criminal defendants in the dark on how the tool works.
[. . .]
The Tallahassee police used the StingRay or a similar device in more than 250 investigations over a six-year period, from mid-2007 through early 2014, according to a list of cases compiled by the Tallahassee Police Department and provided to the American Civil Liberties Union.
[. . .]
In Baltimore, a judge is pushing back against the refusal of police officers to answer questions while testifying. In Charlotte, following a newspaper investigation, the state’s attorney is reviewing whether prosecutors illegally withheld information about the device’s use from defendants.
In Tacoma, Wash., after a separate newspaper investigation found that judges in almost 200 cases had no idea they were issuing orders for the StingRay, the courts set new rules requiring police to disclose the tool’s use. The state legislature is weighing a bill to regulate police use of the equipment.
[. . .]
The FBI and Tallahassee police say that the device is used only with an appropriate court order and that they do not collect the content of calls or text messages. The FBI also said it retains only location data that is relevant to an investigation and immediately discards all other data.
So far, there is virtually no case law on how the Fourth Amendment — which prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures — should apply to this technology.
[. . .]
In March, the defense team deposed police investigator Robert Newberry. The lawyers tried to get Newberry to explain how the police zeroed in on 3197 Springhill Rd. He mentioned the cell-tower records and then, under probing, acknowledged that they had not been sufficient on their own to locate the suspect.
He said a “Sergeant Corbitt” in the department’s technical operations unit had identified the phone’s location. “He would have to tell you how he got to that,” Newberry said, referring to Christopher Corbitt, who handles electronic surveillance operations.
[. . .]
Newberry could not fully explain how Corbitt determined the phone’s location. “I can’t address it because I don’t know the magic behind it,” he said.
[. . .]
But how did he know that the phone was in the house at 6 in the morning? The phone was a “burner” — one not registered under McKenzie’s name.
“We do have specific equipment that allows us to . . . direction-find on the handset, if necessary,” Corbitt said.
“What is that, and how does that work?” McMullen asked.
“I can’t go into that,” he said. “Due to [a] nondisclosure agreement with the FBI, we’re not able to get into the details of how the equipment operates.”
He acknowledged that the device was a cell-tower simulator.
[. . .]
He said that if the defense wanted more specific information, then he had “a specific protocol” to follow requiring him to notify the FBI and the Justice Department.
[. . .]
In June, in response to a motion for public access by the ACLU, the state released a transcript from a closed court hearing in 2010 relating to a Tallahassee rape case in which Corbitt testified that he had used a cell-site simulator to identify a suspect in an apartment complex. “In essence, we emulate a cellphone tower,” he said. “We force that handset to register with us. We identify that we have the correct handset and then we’re able to — by just merely direction-finding on the signal emanating from that handset — we’re able to determine a location.”
[. . .]
“Using portable equipment,” he said, “we were able to actually basically stand at every door and every window in that complex and determine, with relative certainty . . . the particular area of the apartment that that handset was emanating from.”
He said the Tallahassee police began using the device in the spring of 2007. From that point until August 2010, he said, the police had used it “200 or more times” to locate a cellphone.
How reliable was it? “Truthfully,” he said, “100 percent.”
[. . .]
The state’s attorney, Courtney Frazier, argued that details of the equipment’s operation were protected from disclosure under a law enforcement exception to the state open-records law.
Sheffield broke in. “What right does law enforcement have to hide behind the rules and to listen in and take people’s information like the NSA?” he said.
Frazier protested that the information about the device was sensitive and that disclosure could inhibit the police’s ability to catch criminals.
“Inhibiting law enforcement’s rights are second to protecting mine!” Sheffield thundered, gesturing with both hands and fixing his gaze on the prosecutor.
[. . .]
On Dec. 2, Sheffield signed the subpoena forcing Tallahassee police to show the device they used.
Two days before Corbitt was due to show up with the device, McMullen received notice of the plea deal from the prosecutor. She had never gotten such a sweet deal on a case.

Brazilian Women Seduce Prison Guards, 28 Men Escape

[From article]
Twenty-eight inmates escaped from a Brazilian jail after three women in fantasy police costumes "seduced" prison wardens.
Police found three wardens naked and handcuffed inside the Nova Mutum public jail, near Cuiaba, central Brazil, the morning after the mass break-out.
The women reportedly drugged the prison guards by giving them spiked whisky after convincing them to take part in an orgy, according to investigators.
Inmates then left the prison through the main doors, even taking with them guns and munitions they had taken from prison caches.
Police later found a bag of lingerie and dominatrix police uniforms believed to have been worn by the temptresses.
[. . .]
Ms Ferreira said the escape was planned by the boyfriend of one of the women, Bruno Amorim, 18, was was serving time for attempted murder, robbery and firearms possession.
She said: "Everything indicated that he planned and executed everything, with the help of his girlfriend."
She said the three prison officers had been arrested and will be charged with "facilitating a jailbreak" and "culpable embezzlement" because of the theft of firearms.
On Friday eight of the 28 prisoners had been recaptured as police launched a massive operation to track down the fugitives.

Uniformly Deceptive Democrats

[From article]
Stop urinating on us and telling us it is raining.  Please forgive me for using a crude saying.  However, it perfectly and succinctly describes what Obama, Mary Landrieu, and the Democrats have been doing to Americans, particularly blacks, for a very long time.  And it will continue until we stop them.
[. . .]
In their remarkable arrogance and assumption that most voters are clueless idiots, Obama and his minions look reporters and the American people in the eye via TV and tell us flat-out lies – huge whoppers – without even blinking.  They act as if there is no such thing as video archives and fact-checkers.
Clearly, Obama and his posse know that they can count on the liberal MSM to cover their derrières, complicit in their efforts to deceive the American people.
[. . .]
One thing you can count on.  Whatever Obama and his minions say they seek to achieve, their hidden agenda is the polar opposite.
[. . .]
the Democratic Party's "disrespect for the intellect of voters" standard fool-ya playbook.  When all else fails, lie, deceive, demonize, and create hate.
When Republican Congressman Paul Ryan proposed a plan to save Medicare, Democrat minions produced a deplorable ad to deceive voters and demonize Ryan, depicting him pushing a helpless, terrified gray-haired grandmother in a wheelchair over a cliff, plunging to her death.  Meanwhile, Obama cut Medicare by $718 billion.
[. . .]
In 1964, Democrat president Lyndon Johnson implemented government welfare programs promoted as his “war on poverty.”  Twenty-two trillion dollars later, complete with government playing Robin Hood by taking from the rich and redistributing to the poor, progress against poverty has been minimal.  Democrat government dependency programs mixed with the lowering of moral and cultural standards have left the black family and community in shambles.  The mission was never about ending poverty, but rather about addicting blacks to government handouts to secure their votes forever.
[. . .]
The Democrats' modus operandi is to deceive, deceive, deceive.  Democrat Charlie Rangel tried to portray the decent, hardworking, patriotic members of the Tea Party as white racist segregationists.

U.S. Rep. Meeks (D-NY) Promotes False Narrative of Blame in Murders of Two NYPD Officers

[From article]
Meeks’ statements are categorically false.
Many of the coordinators of the demonstrations have unequivocally advocated for violence against police, as has been assiduously monitored and recorded by thousands of camera-wielding participants and media.
The forty or so buildings which were torched in Ferguson by hundreds to thousands of rioters make his “vast majority” statement improbable (the use of the phrase “vast majority” to alleviate a group’s responsibility for violence is a well-worn, intentionally vague and undefinable descriptor).
And Michael Brown’s stepfather supported the precise opposite of what Rep. Meeks claims he supported. He urged Ferguson protesters to “burn this b**** down”; supporters honored the request.

Cosby Diverted Attention From His Swinging Ways In Las Vegas

Bill Cosby

What woman could resist that shirt and tie?

[From article]
Bill Cosby is a horrible human being — even when he isn’t allegedly drugging and raping women — according to detractors.
A journalist I’ve known for many years recalls a sordid tale about Cosby in the summer of 1989, when the reporter was working for the National Enquirer.
The supermarket weekly had a solid story about Cosby — whose show was No. 1 in TV ratings and who was viewed as a perfect father figure — “swinging with Sammy Davis Jr. and some showgirls in Las Vegas,” the reporter, who didn’t want to be named, told me yesterday.
Contacted by the Enquirer for comment, Cosby apparently handed the weekly a story about his then-23-year-old daughter Erinn’s battle with drug and alcohol abuse instead.
“My editor told me that daddy Cosby was the source. He ratted out his flesh and blood,” said my source.

US House Speaker Responds to Obama's Threats

It is just one outrage after another with this administration. A new scandal is necessary each week to divert attention from last week's scandal by any of the dumbed down journalists, voters and taxpayers who might have some memory still operating. Wait unto next week when Obama explains that every black vote will be the equivalent of two white votes in all national elections. Adding that this was approved by Eric "White people are cowards" Holder. Obama-Holder-Johnson Triumvirate sets the standards for lawlessness in the nation. Notice how local and state police agencies follow as best they can ignoring laws. Courts have relaxed standards too. Wait until ordinary citizens follow the lead of 11 to 40 million illegal aliens ignoring the laws of the land. It will be an exciting period to be alive. Something like the reign of terror during the French Revolution.

[From article]
"In our conversation last week, I told the president what I have been telling him for months: the American people and their elected officials don't trust him to enforce the law as written. Until that changes, it is going to be difficult to make progress on this issue. The crisis at our southern border reminds us all of the critical importance of fixing our broken immigration system. It is sad and disappointing that – faced with this challenge – President Obama won't work with us, but is instead intent on going it alone with executive orders that can't and won't fix these problems.
"The president’s own executive orders have led directly to the humanitarian crisis along the Southern border, giving false hope to children and their families that if they enter the country illegally they will be allowed to stay.

Obama Promotes Health Care At Cyber Security Conference

Republicans Divert Attention From Egregious Scandals

[From article]
What could possibly rescue Barack Obama from all these political problems and create a distraction that takes all his scandals off the front page? Only one thing: the Republicans.
By making a futile and foredoomed attempt to defund ObamaCare, Congressional Republicans have created the distraction that Obama so much needs. Already media attention has shifted to the possibility of a government shutdown.
Politically, it doesn't matter that the Republicans are not really trying to shut down the government. What matters is that this distraction solves Barack Obama's political problems that he could not possibly have solved by himself.

Media Distortion Thrives During Campaign Season

Here is one more example of media distortion and diverting attention. Among the literate journalist class and politicians, the comment by US Rep. Akin, (R-MO) is a major event. Especially to liberal journalists. But conservatives and Republicans also fear being accused of being anti abortion, so they condemn this man and his bad science. The idea that we have so many disappointing elected officials is due to the voters. Who gives power to non voters to tell the voters of a district who they should vote for? Journalists believe they are best qualified to choose who should be elected. Look at who we have as a result of their leadership and media management. Akin's comment is one of thousands which are offensive to rational citizens. Georgia Rep. Johnson (D-GA) speaking during a Congressional hearing suggested that having too many Marines assigned to an island would make that island tip over. Which is more disturbing? Johnson was repealing gravity not rape and pregnancy laws. Issues have a priorities like most government efforts. Some are misguided at best. Journalists play to the powerful groups just as the spineless politicians do. Once I called to a Boston Globe reporter who wrote about human experiments. I spoke with her sharing some of the research I did for a bill I wrote for the state legislature. After my presentation she asked me, "Who do you represent?" I wondered what she meant and answered "I represent myself." That was enough for her. Without an organization what I said was meaningless to her. I realized then what journalists were doing. Reality is not determined by nature or facts, but by wealthy powerful groups which influence voters and maybe newspaper buyers or advertisers? This is one more example. How does this one comment affect the lives of people in this country no less in Missouri? Laws exist about pregnancy and rape. Rape is a crime and women get pregnant no matter what this guy says. But to waste valuable media space and time on this one comment shows how misguided journalists are. And in this case it applies to liberals, conservatives, Democrats and Republicans.

Delta Flight 15

Delta Flight 15

[being passed around online]
Here is an amazing story from a flight attendant on Delta Flight 15, written following 9-11:

"On the morning of Tuesday, September 11, we were about 5 hours out of Frankfurt, flying over the North Atlantic. All of a sudden the curtains parted and I was told to go to the cockpit, immediately, to see the captain. As soon as I got there I noticed that the crew had that "All Business" look on their faces. The captain handed me a printed message. It was from Delta's main office in Atlanta and simply read, "All
airways over the Continental United States are closed to commercial air traffic. Land ASAP at the nearest airport. Advise your destination."

"No one said a word about what this could mean. We knew it was a serious situation and we needed to find terra firma quickly. The captain determined that the nearest airport was 400 miles behind us in Gander, Newfoundland. He requested approval for a route change from the Canadian traffic controller and approval was granted immediately--no questions asked. We found out later, of course, why there was no hesitation in approving our request.

"While the flight crew prepared the airplane for landing, another message arrived from Atlanta telling us about some terrorist activity in the New York area. A few minutes later word came in about the
hijackings.

"We decided to LIE to the passengers while we were still in the air. We told them the plane had a simple instrument problem and that we needed to land at the nearest airport in Gander, Newfoundland to have it checked out.

"We promised to give more information after landing in Gander. There was much grumbling among the passengers, but that's nothing new! Forty minutes later, we landed in Gander. Local time at Gander was 12:30 PM! .... that's 11:00 AM EST.

"There were already about 20 other airplanes on the ground from all over the world that had taken this detour on their way to the U.S. After we parked on the ramp, the captain made the following announcement: "Ladies and gentlemen, you must be wondering if all these airplanes around us have the same instrument problem as we have. The reality is that we are here for another reason." Then he went on to explain the little bit we knew about the situation in the U.S. There were loud gasps and stares of disbelief. The captain informed passengers that Ground control in Gander told us to stay put.

"The Canadian Government was in charge of our situation and no one was allowed to get off the aircraft. No one on the ground was allowed to come near any of the air crafts. Only airport police would come around periodically, look us over and go on to the next airplane. In the next hour or so more planes landed and Gander ended up with 53 airplanes from all over the world, 27 of which were U.S. commercial jets.

"Meanwhile, bits of news started to come in over the aircraft radio and for the first time we learned that airplanes were flown into the World Trade Center in New York and into the Pentagon in DC. People were trying to use their cell phones, but were unable to connect due to a different cell system in Canada. Some did get through, but were only able to get to the Canadian operator who would tell them that the lines to the U.S. were either blocked or jammed.

"Sometime in the evening the news filtered to us that the World Trade Center buildings had collapsed and that a fourth hijacking had resulted in a crash. By now the passengers were emotionally and physically exhausted, not to mention frightened, but everyone stayed amazingly calm. We had only to look out the window at the 52 other stranded aircraft to realize that we were not the only ones in this predicament.

"We had been told earlier that they would be allowing people off the planes one plane at a time. At 6 PM, Gander airport told us that our turn to deplane would be 11 am the next morning. Passengers were not happy, but they simply resigned themselves to this news without much noise and started to prepare themselves to spend the night on the airplane.

"Gander had promised us medical attention, if needed, water, and lavatory servicing. And they were true to their word. Fortunately we had no medical situations to worry about. We did have a young lady who was 33 weeks into her pregnancy. We took REALLY good care of her. The night passed without incident despite the uncomfortable sleeping arrangements.

"About 10:30 on the morning of the 12th a convoy of school buses showed up. We got off the plane and were taken to the terminal where we went through Immigration and Customs and then had to register with the Red Cross.

"After that we (the crew) were separated from the passengers and were taken in vans to a small hotel. We had no idea where our passengers were going. We learned from the Red Cross that the town of Gander has a population of 10,400 people and they had about 10,500 passengers to take care of from all the airplanes that were forced into Gander! We were told to just relax at the hotel and we would be contacted when the U.S. airports opened again, but not to expect that call for a while.

"We found out the total scope of the terror back home only after getting to our hotel and turning on the TV, 24 hours after it all started.

"Meanwhile, we had lots of time on our hands and found that the people of Gander were extremely friendly. They started calling us the "plane people." We enjoyed their hospitality, explored the town of Gander and ended up having a pretty good time.

"Two days later, we got that call and were taken back to the Gander airport. Back on the plane, we were reunited with the passengers and found out what they had been doing for the past two days. What we found out was incredible.

"Gander and all the surrounding communities (within about a 75 Kilometer radius) had closed all high schools, meeting halls, lodges, and any other large gathering places. They converted all these facilities to mass lodging areas for all the stranded travelers. Some had cots set up, some had mats with sleeping bags and pillows set up.

"ALL the high school students were required to volunteer their time to take care of the "guests." Our 218 passengers ended up in a town called Lewisporte, about 45 kilometers from Gander where they were put up in a high school. If any women wanted to be in a women-only facility, that was arranged. Families were kept together. All the elderly passengers were taken to private homes.

"Remember that young pregnant lady? She was put up in a private home right across the street from a 24-hour Urgent Care facility. There was a dentist on call and both male and female nurses remained with the crowd for the duration.

"Phone calls and e-mails to the U.S. and around the world were available to everyone once a day. During the day, passengers were offered "Excursion" trips. Some people went on boat cruises of the lakes and harbors. Some went for hikes in the local forests. Local bakeries stayed open to make fresh bread for the guests. Food was prepared by all the residents and brought to the schools. People were driven to
restaurants of their choice and offered wonderful meals. Everyone was given tokens for local laundry mats to wash their clothes, since luggage was still on the aircraft. In other words, every single need was met for those stranded travelers.

"Passengers were crying while telling us these stories. Finally, when they were told that U.S. airports had reopened, they were delivered to the airport right on time and without a single passenger missing or late. The local Red Cross had all the information about the whereabouts of each and every passenger and knew which plane they needed to be on and when all the planes were leaving. They coordinated everything beautifully. It was absolutely incredible.

"When passengers came on board, it was like they had been on a cruise. Everyone knew each other by name. They were swapping stories of their stay, impressing each other with who had the better time. Our flight back to Atlanta looked like a chartered party flight. The crew just stayed out of their way. It was mind-boggling. Passengers had totally bonded and were calling each other by their first names, exchanging
phone numbers, addresses, and email addresses.

"And then a very unusual thing happened. One of our passengers approached me and asked if he could make an announcement over the PA system. We never, ever allow that. But this time was different. I said "of course" and handed him the mike. He picked up the PA and reminded everyone about what they had just gone through in the last few days. He reminded them of the hospitality they had received at the hands of total strangers. He continued by saying that he would like to do something in return for the good folks of Lewisporte.

"He said he was going to set up a Trust Fund under the name of DELTA 15 (our flight number). The purpose of the trust fund is to provide college scholarships for the high school students of Lewisporte. He asked for donations of any amount from his fellow travelers. When the paper with donations got back to us with the amounts, names, phone numbers and addresses, the total was for more than $14,000!

"The gentleman, a MD from Virginia, promised to match the donations and to start the administrative work on the scholarship. He also said that he would forward this proposal to Delta Corporate and ask them to donate as well. As I write this account, the trust fund is at more than $1.5 million and has assisted 134 students in college education.

"I just wanted to share this story because we need good stories right now. It gives me a little bit of hope to know that some people in a far away place were kind to some strangers who literally dropped in on them. It reminds me how much good there is in the world."

"In spite of all the rotten things we see going on in today’s world this story confirms that there are still a lot of good and Godly people in the world and when things get bad, they will come forward.

Holder Politicizes DC Terror Attack Plan

The timing of this announced plot is curious. It comes when subpoenas are expected from Congress concerning Holder's abuse of power, deceptions, and alleged lies about his involvement in the ATF Fast and Furious Mexican gun scandal. This is an example of how media are manipulated by public officials. It is what John Edwards counted on to allow him to continue his affair while running for President. Is this what Obama will use to conduct his campaign next year to continue his wholesale deception of voters?

[From article]
"The complaint alleges this past spring that Arbabsiar approached the DEA informant, who he believed was associated with a well-known Mexican drug cartel with access to military-grade weapons and explosives and has a history of assassinations.
[. . .]
Arbabsiar was arrested Sept. 29 [2011] at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport and was ordered held without bail during his brief first court appearance Thursday afternoon."
