White House Provides Taxpayer Funds For Jobs For Migrant Youth

[From article]
The Obama administration wants to make sure Utica, New York’s young refugees aren’t without a job, so he’s spending millions to make sure it doesn’t happen.
“Access to a job in the summer and beyond can make all the difference to a young person – especially those who don’t have access to many resources and opportunities,” President Obama said of his new Summer Opportunity Project.
The project spends a total of $21 million on a variety of programs in 11 communities nationwide with the focus of helping young people find summer work, and permanent part-time jobs, the White House and U.S. Department of Labor announced Monday.
At least $2 million of the total will be set aside to help 400 refugee students in Utica, New York get to work through the New Americans Career Pathways Project, the Utica Observer-Dispatch reports.
“The New Americans Career Pathways project will provide in-school youth with summer jobs and academic support for 400 students in the refugee populations of Utica, NY,” according to a White House Fact Sheet. “The students will receive summer job work experience and academic tutoring in English and Math, and support in finding part-time jobs.”
[. . .]
Nearly everyone who discussed the Utica program in the Syracuse.com comments was appalled that the president seems to be prioritizing illegal immigrants over U.S. citizens for summer jobs in their region.
“Most divisive president ever adds to the legacy,” Dawn Of A New Day posted.
“This is absurd!” greats wrote. “Yes people, vote for Hillary. She wants this too. To heck with American youth. Let’s employ refugees who can’t even speak English! Go Trump! Stand up for America!”
“So legal Americans are not worthy of summer jobs?” RockwellSprings questioned. “Can’t wait for November.”
“What about OUR kids?” bastracker wrote. “I am thoroughly disgusted.”

Report on Young People Shows How Shallow Some Are

This essay reveals how shallow some young people are. They actually believe in the least reliable discipline, i.e., politics for avenues to effect change. The report itself conflicts with its thesis. Describing the current youth generation as the most diverse, only liberals can be heard in this piece.
No mention of the role of religion in maintaining a stable society. No mention of the failing institution of marriage, and failing schools. But most of all the hedonism of the young generation and demand for immediate gratification shows that the elements which are driving the degeneration of the nation and its leaders, remains unaddressed.

[From article]
the conversation was meant to suggest a way forward as the most diverse and educated American generation in history begins to inherit an economic and political system that many of its members do not believe serves them.

Young Voters Love Bernie, Here's Why

[From article]
The primary impetus for Bernie's support among the young is that he promises a vague "future to believe in," which translates into even more of the Moon than most liberal politicians promise. Free is good when you want stuff you can't afford. As one young Sanders supporter griped when interviewed, "why should I have to pay for my college education?"
Perhaps the next question he will ask is, "Why should I bother working, when I can't have the kind of job I want?" Countless unemployed or underemployed young people – and they are, indeed, uncounted – have already opted to exit the job market, at least for a while. Many of them are college graduates whose inability to find meaningful employment could be one of the strongest arguments against imposing even higher taxes on Americans in order to provide free college tuition.
[. . .]
They buy into the class warfare rhetoric that ripples through Socialist Sanders's sermons, expunging government of the blame for societal failures by placing that blame on the expensively clothed shoulders of the super-rich.
Liberals have always preached that money pumped into problems solves them.
[. . .]
An oddball like Sanders doesn't materialize as a political icon overnight. [. . .] His surprising candidacy would have been impossible a generation ago, when most Americans were taught to think differently…or for themselves. Nor were most young people's dedication to political candidates as intense as it is now. Technology is a great enabler in that pursuit.
But the major political impact on millennials has been wielded by liberals who dominate the faculties and administrative strongholds of college campuses across America.
[. . .]
Universities have become training venues for the art of marches, protests, political skulduggery, and general rabble-rousing. Unlike previous generations, millennials acquire the moxie to hustle off to rallies or hunker down in protest in cities they don't even know. One wonders how they get the resources to do this when they picture their lives in America as circumscribed and grossly unfair.
The left-wing college lesson plans begin with an assumption that it is okay to wage war on perceived rights violations here at home, but not overseas. We must stay out of other countries' problems, especially militarily, but we must accept the fallout of those problems when they show up at our borders. The crucible of liberal indoctrination is a fear of those who are not of like mind. Obama and Clinton, for example, both talk of Republicans as a great threat to America. "It's not who we are."
So liberal academicians have, in effect, provided a vital run-up to the viability of a Bernie Sanders. [. . .] and his dream of making the United States of America more like Sweden.
[. . .]
Millennials are a dominant power in the United States. In 2013, they represented one-third of the total population.

Late Night MBTA Services In Boston For Young Invading Population

Discontinued Due To Cost And Low Ridership

Councilor Devereaux believes the population of Boston? Cambridge? is getting younger. The Boston area including Cambridge was dominated by students, usually young people, for a teeny tiny number of years. Politicians are getting older. Does that have anything to do with the low voter turnout? Devereux suggested spending taxpayer money to convince corporations to subsidize late night MBTA service. Why doesn't she do it and not spend money? She appears comfortable with the elected criminal class (Noam Chomsky's term) explaining that $14 million is a small amount. Best suggestion of the evening was to raise fares, to increase ridership? Why didn't MBTA managers think of that?

[From article]
City Councilor Jan Devereux, who participated the discussion, noted that the young crowd was not typical of public meetings, and was indicative of the region’s changing demographics.
“We have a young population, and we’re getting younger. The jobs we’re creating are attracting a younger work force, so I anticipate the demand for late-night service will increase,” she said.
[. . .]
Devereux proposed the MBTA hire a marketing consultant to gain interest from corporate sponsors, and said $14 million is small compared to the profits of bio-techs and other large employers.
[. . .]
The MBTA hasn’t done enough to talk about this issue, and there’s a lot more people who need to hear about it,” [Jonathan] Alves said.
[. . .]
Some meeting-goers suggested raising the rate of monthly T passes, which are “dirt cheap” in comparison to New York City or Washington, DC.

Plunder and Deceit, Mark Levin's New Book

[From article]
Chapter Two, is titled “On The Debt,” and explains to the rising generations how they will be in perpetual servitude to the debt being handed to them by generations that would rather spend and borrow than live within their means. Levin presents this as a moral problem as articulated by Dr. Walter Williams: “We’ve become an immoral people demanding that Congress forcibly use one American to serve the purposes of another. Deficits and runaway national debt are merely symptoms of the real problem.” The ruling generation of the political class has, in effect, bribed voters to keep them in power, by mortgaging the future of those who have not yet woken up to what is being done to them by their elders.
[. . .]
Social Security expenditures totaled 0.22 percent of the economy during World War 2, and in 1983 accounted for 24 percent. The second was: “For the first time, people who are retiring today will receive less in benefits than they paid into the system in taxes.” The plunder has already reached such an extent that even those at the top of the food chain are getting a rotten deal.
[. . .]

Mark Levin

“America’s educational productivity has collapsed,” at least as measured by standardized tests, as costs, especially administrative costs, have exploded. The facts and figures he offers on the growth of student debt are astounding, and will eventually cause a crisis that will make the 2008 housing crisis look like a day at the beach.
[. . .]
what poses as environmentalism today is really a “de-growth” movement that will impoverish future generations, diminishing not merely their standard of living, but their opportunities for productive lives. For younger people who have been indoctrinated on the subject in schools for their entire lives, the facts and reasoning here, which owe a well-acknowledged debt to Ayn Rand, could be the most startling of the book.
[. . .]
despotism – a despotism clothed in the garb of compassion. As you would expect from a scholar of his depth and erudition, it is an extremely valuable lesson, especially for a generation trained that the most important thing about the Constitution is that slave holders numbered among its authors.

Gangs Freely Recruiting Illegal Alien Youth

MS-13 and other violent street gangs are aggressively recruiting illegal alien youth who recently arrived in America.
[From article]
MS-13 and other violent street gangs are aggressively recruiting illegal alien youth who recently arrived in America.
The gangs, which also include the Latin Kings and the SureƱos, are targeting immigrant communities in New York and elsewhere across the country for recruits under the age of 18.
“I came from… [El Salvador] to get away from them [MS-13], but the same crime is happening here,” N.Y. resident Wilfredo Serrano told Fox News Latino. “Now they’ve been going after the new arrivals… kids who are very vulnerable and have already been through the worst in life.”
In N.Y. alone the gangs are vying to recruit from a pool of over 3,000 illegals who resettled in Nassau and Suffolk counties after last year’s massive surge of illegal immigration from Central America.
[. . .]
“They know they are going to be processed and released and they are free to go wherever they want to go in the U.S. and the likelihood of them ever showing up for their court date is slim to none,” Stu Harris of the National Border Patrol Council Local 1929 told Infowars.
To sum it up, the Obama administration is importing illegal aliens into the country at taxpayer expense and many of them will ultimately join violent street gangs like MS-13.

Young Often Lack Job Skills

[From article]
“I’ve had countless experiences with kids who are just not ready,” he says.
“They haven’t picked up the skills that you learn by working and that’s often because they haven’t had to.
“They come in late, they don’t realise that they might have to do things they don’t want to, and they don’t appreciate the job. They think if they don’t like it here they can just pack up and get another job around the corner, keep chasing that almighty dollar without building their skills.”
[. . .]
She says while on paper young employees are more qualified than ever before, 20-somethings are showing up to work with degrees from universities that are “disconnected with the workforce”, and a lack of workplace experience.
“A number of our members consistently tell us they’re seeing students come out of university or training programs and they might have the academic or theoretical skills, but no skills to work at all. It makes them really hard to employ,” she says.
“General issues are not understanding that a job is about turning up on time every day, not just when you feel like, that it’s about taking direction, and basic things like you’ve got to be well presented and you’ve got to be pleasant.
[. . .]
“It’s not that the universities are teaching the wrong thing, but more that young people are encouraged to get an education, follow that to a job they believe they want to do, and the assumption that it’s going to be an automatic match with what’s required in the labour market,” Professor Wyn says.
“It would be fabulous if young people were gaining really strong skills that they should be learning, but it’s really hard for educators to catch up. Instead of turning it around and blaming schools, we should look at other path ways.

Louisiana Boy, 9, Gives Cards, Coins To Keep Police Officers Safe

[From article]
Nine-year-old Jayden Witsell is an aspiring law enforcement officer. But he's got a little something extra with his uniform that he's made his mission to share with real law enforcement officers.
"It's a St. Michael's coin," Witsell told an officer. "If you keep it in your pocket, or in your unit, it will keep you safe everywhere you go."
A little more than a month ago, Jayden and his mom started riding around with envelopes that say "Police Lives Matter." In them, are cards with a hand-written 'thank you,' plus the coin. The goal is to give them to any officer, deputy or trooper they spot.
"He just come to me and said, 'Mom there's too many bad things going on in the world. People just don't have respect for law enforcement officers and I want to do something nice for all the police officers," said his mother Angelique Witsell.
Jayden said, "To me, police lives just matter."

Who Is Radicalizing Muslim Youth?

[From article]
It must be said that Obama’s “countering violent extremism” formulation is a craven euphemism meant to hide the truth. Even Obama’s own supporter, Thomas Friedman of The New York Times, understands that the main threat to America and the world at large comes not from just any kind of violent extremism, but from “Islamic extremism,” a term Obama is unwilling to utter.
In the run-up to the Summit, the White House cited Boston as one of three pilot cities that has led the way in “countering violent extremism.” Nothing can be further from the truth: the central Muslim institution with which Boston law enforcement agencies are partnering against extremism is itself extremist.
[. . .]
In Boston, deception and self-deception have been the rule: The first Islamic Society of Boston mosque in Cambridge was founded in 1982 by Abdulrahman Alamoudi, a man who convinced both Presidents Bush and Clinton that he was a moderate, but who turned out to be a Muslim Brotherhood operative. He is now serving a 23-year prison term for raising money for al-Qaeda.
[. . .]
For decades, ISB radicals have cultivated Muslim students from Boston’s schools and campuses. Some became notorious jihadis. Aafia Siddiqui, a highly regarded ISB congregant at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, raised money for al-Qaeda at Boston mosques and, as “Lady al-Qaeda,” became the most wanted woman in the world. Arrested in 2009 in Afghanistan with plans for a mass casualty attack on New York City, she opened fire on FBI agents and is now serving 86 years in prison for attempted murder.
Starting in 2000, with millions of Saudi dollars, the Islamic Society of Boston built its second mosque in Roxbury, the largest mosque on the Eastern Seaboard. When it emerged that Yusuf Qaradawi, the spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, was a founding trustee, the ISB told Boston officials that his name on their documents was “a clerical error.” When informed that federal authorities labeled the Muslim American Society “an overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood,” Boston officials again turned a blind eye. Qaradawicalls for the genocide of Jews and the murder of homosexuals. Interpol has a warrant for his arrest on charges of incitement to murder.
[. . .]
Then there are the Boston Marathon bombers. Tamerlan Tsarnaev, caught on surveillance tape placing a bomb, changed his persona, according to his ex-girlfriend, after joining the ISB: “One minute he was a normal guy, the next minute he is watching these crazy Muslim videos.” His brother Dzhokhar, who occasionally attended the Islamic Society of Boston, allegedly helped place and detonate the bombs that killed three and injured 264 – and to murder MIT police officer Sean Collier.
[. . .]
Most egregious among them has been Imam Abdullah Faaruuq, the same man who gave the MA Attorney General a $50,000 grant for law enforcement trainings. A respected Boston Muslim leader, Faaruuq frequently attends events with major politicians like then-Senator John Kerry. Meanwhile, he has been inciting Boston Muslims against the U.S. government and law enforcement agencies,
[. . .]
All along, the Islamic Society of Boston has hosted speakers and programs that preach Islamic supremacism and hatred.
[. . .]
How many more Muslim children will be poisoned and turned into terrorists, and how many American lives will be lost before we demand to know what is being taught in America’s Islamic communities and who is doing the teaching?

Smart Phones Affect Youth Health

[From article]
There has been an explosion in numbers in mental health problems amongst youngsters.”
[. . .]
“Something is clearly happening,” she says, “because I am seeing the evidence in the numbers of depressive, anorexic, cutting children who come to see me. And it always has something to do with the computer, the Internet and the smartphone.”
Issues such as cyber-bullying are, of course, nothing new, and schools now all strive to develop robust policies to tackle them, but Lynn Evans’ target is both more precise and more general. She is pointing a finger of accusation at the smartphones - “pocket rockets” as she calls them – which are now routinely in the hands of over 80 per cent of secondary school age children. Their arrival has been, she notes, a key change since 2010.
[. . .]
Parents also need to think about what example they set their children by their own attachment to their smartphones. “We know all about the importance of childhood attachment and good healthy childhood relationships with parents. Yet, if you look in the local park, you see children at a very early age not getting the tender, intense love they used to because their parents are always on their smartphones.
[. . .]
She is keen to point out that this isn’t happening to all children, and that there are other potential causes for the current crisis – “results-driven school programmes”, busy parents and the recession are three

Youth Must Be Taught About Strong Marijuana; Colorado's Legalization

Michael Ellis (above), a Tory member of the Home Affairs Select Committee, said the 'study illustrates that those in government and the police must be careful to send out the right message' about cannabis.

This almost two-hour video shows some of the effects of legalizing marijuana in Colorado. A lawyer whose firm focuses solely on marijuana issues, a mother who started an organization to inform the public, a former drug addict turned rehab counselor, and a Democratic Washington DC lobbyist speak on the issues. The distinction is made between, decriminalization, legalization, and commercialization. The latter is what creates problems, especially with edibles. One observation is that the rush to legalize marijuana brought unintended consequences like the new health care law rushed into law by the Democratic Party without reading it.

As many as a quarter of new cases of psychotic mental illness can be blamed on super-strength strains of cannabis, scientists will warn this week.
The potent form of the drug – known as ‘skunk’ – is so powerful that users are three times more likely to have a psychotic episode than those who have never tried it.
The study, leaked to The Mail on Sunday, will reignite debate around Britain’s drug laws – and will add weight to calls for a tougher stance towards those caught dealing or in possession of cannabis.
According to Crime Survey figures for England and Wales, more than a million youngsters aged 16 to 24 smoke cannabis.
Regular users are most at risk of a psychotic episode, prompting experts to warn that youngsters need to be aware of the dangers of skunk, which has been cultivated to be four times as strong as cannabis smoked by previous generations.
The researchers, led by a team at the Institute of Psychiatry at King’s College London, conclude there is an ‘urgent need… to inform young people about the risks of high-potency cannabis’, despite a worldwide trend towards relaxing drug laws.

Few Young Voters Know Either US Senator From Their State

[From article]
For one thing, they say they’re increasingly engaged ahead of the all-important election — but it’s also clear they’re not very well-informed. And they think government can help them, particularly in an area where they’ve struggled to get ahead — in their jobs.
[. . .]
According to the survey, 49 percent say they are politically unaffiliated — including a majority (58 percent) of young Latino voters, half of young male voters, and half of the 25-29-aged voters in the sample.
[. . .]
77 percent of 18- to 34-year-olds in the new survey could not name even one US senator in their home state.
[. . .]
The finding provides fodder for the suggestion that millennials are relatively uninformed political citizens.
[. . .]
Where millennials differ from the rest of the American population, however, is in their view that, overall, government is generally good.

What Makes Young American Women Swoon Over Vicious Terrorists Who Kill and Maim?

[From article]
This is what rampaging terrorists already own in their arsenal: governments that look the other way; the freedom of movement courtesy of lax immigration law, freedom of speech that applies only to them, and now their very own built-in cheering section.
This is what the modern-day terrorist can now count on: thousands of teen girls ‘crushing’ (having a crush) on them. Support goading them on from Facebook, Twitter and other social networks.
[. . .]
Oblivious to the fact that the Boston bombing left some children without limbs, an 18-year-old waitress interviewed by the New York Post vowed to have Dzhokhar’s last tweet before the bombing tattooed onto her arm: “If you have the knowledge and the inspiration all that’s left is to take action”.
Where are these terrorist-loving girls coming from? From a teach-by-indoctrination public school system, run by a country whose current administration has banned the term ‘Islamic terrorist’ from the public lexicon.
[. . .]
Parents: In order to stand up to terrorism, you have to get by your own children, or somehow get them out of the clutches of the pro-Marxist, pro-radical Islamists when they’re still in grade school starting at Kindergarten.
Resistance is futile when your own children are tweeting support for terrorists and joining the ranks of the Communist-run anti-cop rallies.
Bring them home and teach them they are marching toward certain anarchy and death.

Young People Unable to Repair Gadgets

[From article]
Danielle George, Professor of Radio Frequency Engineering, at the University of Manchester, claims that the under 40s expect everything to ‘just work’ and have no idea what to do when things go wrong.
Unlike previous generations who would ‘make do and mend’ now young people will just chuck out their faulty appliances and buy new ones.
But Prof George claims that many broken or outdated gadgets could be fixed or repurposed with only a brief knowledge of engineering and electronics.

OH Judge Scrutinized After Death Of Released Juvenile

Dumbed Down Youth Clueless What Makes An American

[From article]
Paul has yet to focus his campaign on a subject -- which I told him in a recent telephone conversation -- that he is uniquely qualified to speak on: the dangerous ignorance throughout this nation among students and adults on why they are Americans.
[. . .]
what's more alarming for our future as a self-governing republic is that so few public schools -- from fourth grade to graduate school -- have mandated courses in American history, let alone courses in the ever-dramatic story of how our Constitution has been rescued from regal presidents and their Congresses.

U.S. Civil Rights Commission: Censor Speech; Young People's Brains Are Not Fully Developed

Maybe it is because the brains of these Civil Rights Commissioners are not fully developed.

[From article]
A Democrat on the U.S. Civil Rights Commission has urged campus restrictions on First Amendment-protected speech because, he believes, the still-developing brains of college students cannot properly process certain dangerous ideas.
The civil rights commissioner is Michael Yaki, a former senior adviser to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.
The Washington Post’s Eugene Volokh was present at a commission briefing on sexual harassment law in education last week when Yaki made his bizarro comments.
The civil rights commissioner said he favors outlawing speech that would be grossly unpopular, such as “a slave auction at a fraternity engagement” or a celebration of Latino culture that involves “making everyone dress as janitors and mop floors.”
[. . .]
Yaki, who spent many of his formative years in highly authoritarian countries, then distinguished himself from fellow garden-variety progressives who seek to criminalize ideas they don’t like by, hilariously, suggesting that his repressive views are backed by scientists (and citing a Supreme Court case concerning the death penalty).
“It has to do with science,” Yaki confidently explained. “More and more, the vast majority, in fact — I think — overall in bodies of science is that young people, not just K through 12 but also between the ages of 16 to 20, 21 is where the brain is still in a stage of development.”
