Hopey, Changey, Dreamer?

[From article]
[Obama's statement] “Palestinian children have hopes and dreams for their future and deserve to live with the dignity that can only come with a state of their own.” Alas, Palestinians were given Gaza and they turned it into Hamasistan. They teach their children to hate and kill Israelis from birth through suicide bombing. What planet is he living on to make these ridiculous pronouncements? Is there no one in the White House who understands that Palestinians will achieve dignity only when they start respecting the gift of life, not the promise of virgins in death?
[. . .]
After five and a half years of Obama, evil is flourishing as the world’s barbarians recognize an America with no resolve to defeat them.
The good news is that no one listens to Barack Obama anymore.

Which is Correct?

Council President Quinn says, "Now the worst thing in the world is to have your hopes beaten down -- worse than having no hope is having hope unfulfilled." (SALLY GOLDENBERG, "Quinn says hail 'marry' for gay nups," New York Post, November 10, 2009) But Jesse Jackson focuses on "Keep hope alive." Which psychiatrist is in charge of conflicting aphorisms?
