Savage Behavior Becoming The Norm, Where Did United States Go Off The Rails?

[From article]
Once my husband and I rounded the wrong bend in the middle of Montana and, being as far from civilization as one can get in the lower 48,
[. . .]

America is now living through such a lost period in our history, and it’s high time we thought about where things went wrong. In my Montana wanderings there were several factors involved; we’d neglected to bring the charger for the GPS, had consulted the wrong map, and had failed to pay attention when the road veered gradually to the left. The same is true for our national journey.
As with most errors this one started with bad thinking; we’ve made two huge philosophical mistakes, one an outgrowth of the other, and they may cost us everything: 1) we have been lazy and wimpy on the issue of truth and, as a result, 2) we have bought the lie that human nature is basically good.
Let’s look first at the issue of truth. I say we wimped out because it is much easier, at least for a while, to whitewash all controversies and claim that truth is so flexible that it can take any shape we want it to. If we assume that truth is merely a human construct, we can claim that it comes in thousands of differing colors and sizes, tailor made to fit any need. Thus we avoid having to discern differences, make moral judgments, or stand up for anything. We can act superior to those who still see vast chasms between belief systems and we claim “open-mindedness” utterly unaware of the meaninglessness of that term.
If nothing is really true, then there’s no reason to knuckle down and learn anything, no reason to think very hard, no reason to amass facts –- we suspect they’re not true anyway. I am dumbfounded by the ignorant assertion that Muslims and Christians worship the same god. A person doesn’t have to know, can’t know, anything much about either belief and make that statement. In an untruthful world ignorance is not only bliss, it is the inescapable condition.
[. . .]

You see, if one decides against absolute truth, one decides against logic; it is, after all, a self-refuting logical impossibility to say, “There is no such thing as absolute truth.” And what happens when a society decides to ignore the nonsense factor and base its “thinking” on such a floppy foundation? Insanity is what happens.
We have a society in which one can scream about a “war on women” but support passionately a group that excels at subordinating, torturing, mutilating, raping, and terrifying its women from their childhood. We have a society that has frozen in the face of an enemy so horrifying that we can’t even work up the courage to publicly condemn them, let alone commit to war. We have a society that has no moral boundaries, other than avoiding offending another person’s sensibilities. We have no problem with killing inconvenient babies in spite of its genocidal results, no problem with sexual promiscuity regardless of the physical disease and family turmoil that causes, and worst of all, we no longer expect our leadership to be truthful people of integrity.
As the Clinton campaign drags itself forward I am amazed at the number of her supporters – both public figures and private acquaintances of mine -- who are content to make excuses for her habitual, pathological duplicity.
[. . .]

Sooner or later reality will come crashing through the door and it will have to be dealt with. That’s where we are right now. Grendel is splintering the gates and we can no longer just pass the joint, sing loudly and pretend he’s not out there. He is.
Because we have treated reality like a do-it-yourself kit, we’ve arrived at a second philosophical no-man’s land; we’ve decided that, despite all evidence to the contrary, humanity is basically good. [. . .]
If we are basically born good, then childrearing becomes nothing more than keeping the child alive until he can fend for himself, never mind the fact that such parental neglect has created at least two generations of self-centered, amoral monsters. We are not naturally good. We can be good, but we don’t start that way. What baby has ever given a rip that his mother hasn’t had a full night’s sleep since he was born? What two-year-old goes sweetly off to her nap because she knows mommy needs some quiet time? Children need to be taught, sternly and consistently, to put others first.
If our children aren’t trained out of their natural tendencies we end up with mobs of teenagers terrorizing mall shoppers, having sex at school (sometimes with the teacher, because that generation doesn’t know any better either), and destroying any learning that might be able to happen in a classroom.
[. . .]
How can we process the knowledge that some of our fellow human beings are quite at ease with the idea of raping babies, beheading fellow countrymen, burning people alive? How do we explain that?
We try to blame such behavior on poverty, on racism (which also needs explaining), on society in general, which is a pretty rocky hypothesis since society is built of the crooked bricks of fallen, sinful individuals; it’s not a separate entity, but an outgrowth of all that is rotten in Denmark.
Human beings, unless trained to be decent, humble, and caring, have in our very DNA the capacity to think and commit evil –- absolute evil. Each generation comes face-to-face with that fact. All of human history has been a trail of tears –- not because the rich have too much, or because our parents didn’t love us enough, or because some stranger didn’t approve of us. We hurt each other because something in us pushes us to do so. This is why humanity needed a Savior. Only with His sacrifice and His influence has the world crept slowly out of the toil and horror of life on this earth.
But if we deny truth (i.e. God) and continue looking past all the evidence of our flawed nature, the prosperity and progress of the last 2,000 years will be lost, is being lost. I pray consistently that enough of us will wake up and realize that there is an absolute mountain of truth out in front of us, and we’re about to crash headlong into it. truth is immutable; it isn’t going to move out of our way.

Killing Christians and Jews Approved By New Ruling Class

[From article]
The steadfast refusal of our intellectual culture to take seriously the global and American agenda of violence against Christians and Jews is important and immoral.
[. . .]

Our society arguably crossed a political Rubicon on December 12, 2008. Less than one month after losing the presidential election, the much maligned governor Sarah Palin’s Christian church was burned around the entire perimeter with women and children trapped inside. Plainly sexist verbal assaults from feminist comedians that asked for Palin to be raped and brutalized were realized in a hate crime that earned no federal investigation, no serious social commentary from the media, and no prosecutions to date. No one has been arrested for the crime in Alaska against Palin’s church.
[. . .]
In 2010, a Christian man in St. Louis from Iraq who had converted from Islam was pulled from his car and had a Star of David carved into his back by his attackers. His attackers deemed his poetry defending the dignity of Jews in the Middle East to be too offensive for their tastes.
[. . .]

Those antisemitic dispositions were on vivid display as the prime minister of Israel stated in stark and obvious terms how the international community has turned a blind eye toward Iran’s genocidal goals regarding the one Jewish state in the world. The American delegation of Samantha Power and John Kerry would not sit for the speech from Israel demanding greater accountability for these genocidal ambitions— even though Power has made a career castigating political bodies for inaction on these types of questions. Netanyahu stared down the United Nations for 45 eerie seconds of silence that mocked the international bodies protracted silence regarding violence against Jews and Christians globally.
In 2011, a gay activist gunman created a list of conservative Christian targets from the Southern Poverty Law Center website. He began his killing spree at the Family Research Council in Washington DC
[. . .]

The recent Charleston shooting was committed in a Christian church and the gunman listened to an hour of Christian fellowship before killing those kindly gathered to love one another in the name of God. Our Facebook pages overflow with seething hate-filled rage against Kim Davis. The sources are invariably the Jacobin Pharisees of American life who constitute themselves as supremely tolerant. In reality, our culture has become shockingly intolerant toward Christians and Jews. Their elite diatribes were strangely silent when American civil clerks broke the law in favor of gay couples before the Supreme Court case in 2015 but now the jacobins loudly demand the Christian clerks “do their jobs!”
[. . .]
The internet in 2012 took special delight in slandering Christian conservatives Rick Santorum and Michele Bachmann.
It is socially acceptable among our intellectual elite to be contemptuous and hateful to individuals deemed inconveniently Christian. Law professor Stephen Carter complained of a “Culture of Disbelief” in the 1990s and now we have evolved into a culture of contempt with regard to Christian and Jewish belief.

What Makes Young American Women Swoon Over Vicious Terrorists Who Kill and Maim?

[From article]
This is what rampaging terrorists already own in their arsenal: governments that look the other way; the freedom of movement courtesy of lax immigration law, freedom of speech that applies only to them, and now their very own built-in cheering section.
This is what the modern-day terrorist can now count on: thousands of teen girls ‘crushing’ (having a crush) on them. Support goading them on from Facebook, Twitter and other social networks.
[. . .]
Oblivious to the fact that the Boston bombing left some children without limbs, an 18-year-old waitress interviewed by the New York Post vowed to have Dzhokhar’s last tweet before the bombing tattooed onto her arm: “If you have the knowledge and the inspiration all that’s left is to take action”.
Where are these terrorist-loving girls coming from? From a teach-by-indoctrination public school system, run by a country whose current administration has banned the term ‘Islamic terrorist’ from the public lexicon.
[. . .]
Parents: In order to stand up to terrorism, you have to get by your own children, or somehow get them out of the clutches of the pro-Marxist, pro-radical Islamists when they’re still in grade school starting at Kindergarten.
Resistance is futile when your own children are tweeting support for terrorists and joining the ranks of the Communist-run anti-cop rallies.
Bring them home and teach them they are marching toward certain anarchy and death.

Money For Homeless Used For Computer Services

Perhaps some of the money should be used for sensitivity training to prevent rape and homophobia. This shows the strength of the lobby for the wifi industry. It is as strong as the psychiatric industry which provides drugs to homeless persons but no housing. The priorities of the government are truly amazing. They match the public safety priorities which target harmless vulnerable citizens and ignore violent criminals. What can you expect with a lawless White House and Department of Justice?

[From article]
The Seattle City Council was expected to vote Monday on a measure that would fund Internet access at the city's homeless camps.
[. . .]

"That's too much opportunity for abuse," resident Cindy Phillips told local television station KING 5. "There are public libraries, and other public resources such as WorkSource, that can better assist the homeless in finding the jobs, or other resources they need," she said.
The money to fund Internet and wireless access would come from a budget item set aside to improve other conditions in Seattle's homeless tent cities, including access to showers, electricity and cooking facilities.

Upstaging the Kardashians, The Threat To Sue

[From article]
On Saturday, HBO’s Lena Dunham sent a “cease and desist” letter to TruthRevolt demanding that we remove an article we posted last Wednesday on sections of her book, Not That Kind of Girl. The letter threatened legal action if we did not both remove that article, as well as print a note, the suggested language of which read as follows:
We recently published a story stating that Ms. Dunham engaged in sexual conduct with her sister. The story was false, and we deeply regret having printed it. We apologize to Ms. Dunham, her sister, and their parents, for this false story.
We refuse. We refuse to withdraw our story or apologize for running it, because quoting a woman’s book does not constitute a “false” story, even if she is a prominent actress and left-wing activist. Lena Dunham may not like our interpretation of her book, but unfortunately for her and her attorneys, she wrote that book – and the First Amendment covers a good deal of material she may not like.

[from the book]
One day, as I sat in our driveway in Long Island playing with blocks and buckets, my curiosity got the best of me. Grace was sitting up, babbling and smiling, and I leaned down between her legs and carefully spread open her vagina. She didn’t resist, and when I saw what was inside I shrieked. “My mother came running. “Mama, Mama! Grace has something in there!”
My mother didn’t bother asking why I had opened Grace’s vagina. This was within the spectrum of things that I did. She just got on her knees and looked for herself. It quickly became apparent that Grace had stuffed six or seven pebbles in there. My mother removed them patiently while Grace cackled, thrilled that her prank had been such a success.
And this:
As she grew, I took to bribing her for her time and affection: one dollar in quarters if I could do her makeup like a “motorcycle chick.” Three pieces of candy if I could kiss her on the lips for five seconds. Whatever she wanted to watch on TV if she would just “relax on me.” Basically, anything a sexual predator might do to woo a small suburban girl I was trying.
And this:
I shared a bed with my sister, Grace, until I was seventeen years old. She was afraid to sleep alone and would begin asking me around 5:00 P.M. every day whether she could sleep with me. I put on a big show of saying no, taking pleasure in watching her beg and sulk, but eventually I always relented. Her sticky, muscly little body thrashed beside me every night as I read Anne Sexton, watched reruns of SNL, sometimes even as I slipped my hand into my underwear to figure some stuff out.
[. . .]
If Ms. Dunham says that our quotations from her book were “false,” then she should explain whether her statements in which she accused a young college Republican of rape were also false. We look forward to asking her about that in her deposition as well, given that she has reportedly refused to cooperate with Oberlin police to track down the alleged perpetrator, which leaves other young women at risk if her accusations are true.
[. . .]
Bullies like Ms. Dunham may believe that firing off legal threats against those who exercise First Amendment rights is perfectly legitimate. But for a woman who proclaims to be an advocate for freedom of speech to attempt to shut down such speech based on her own apparent embarrassment at her own disclosures in her own book demonstrates the totalitarianism of those on the left – and those in the legal and media establishment who enable them.
