Philadelphia, PA High School Student Threatened By Others For Protected Speech About Race. School Officials Indicate Spinelessness, Relaxed Rectitude

Michael Moroz, Philadelphia High School Student

Welcome to the world of exercising constitutionally protected rights. Thugs and liberals (do I repeat myself?) do not extend those rights to people who disagree with their propaganda. In Cambridge, MA black city police, and Harvard University campus police have harassed me for more than 20 years for similar expression. No tolerance in the halls of elite universities either. You have to fight for your rights. There are many public officials who lack spines and will not stand up for their oaths of office to defend the Constitution.

[From article]
Philadelphia high school senior Michael Moroz knew he was courting controversy when he wrote about race in the school newspaper, but he never expected death threats from classmates and strangers.
Just before Christmas break, the 17-year-old wrote an opinion piece for the Central High school paper, the Centralizer. In it, he criticized the racially charged University of Missouri protests and opined that Michael Brown, the black teenager killed in 2014 by a white police officer in Ferguson, Mo., was "a delinquent" who was "at worst, justifiably killed, and at best, [was] a thug."
The story hit the paper’s Facebook page while school was out, and that’s when the threats poured in. Moroz is now afraid to return to school and worried he could lose his place next fall at an Ivy League university.
[. . .]
Soon after Moroz's writing appeared online, Internet trolls took to social media, urging "someone" to “deal with” and even “shoot” him. Dozens of other posts labeled him a racist and urged University of Pennsylvania to rescind the acceptance it recently offered Moroz.
When classes resumed this week, a shaken Moroz stayed home.
He claims at least five fellow students at Central threatened his life, and his family has hired an attorney and filed a complaint with the Philadelphia Police Department.
[. . .]
“They are saying that what Michael wrote is something they don’t agree with and that it justifies their actions. This is something that is becoming more common in America, and that is frightening.”
The opinion piece was pulled from the Facebook page by student editors once the backlash began, but the counterpoint article supporting the movement was left alone.
[. . .]
Central Principal Timothy McKenna defended the decision to take down the article by saying no printed copies were collected or destroyed.
[. . .]
“It certainly doesn’t feel like the administration is supporting me,” Moroz said. “They took the onus from themselves and put it on me, saying that it was a police matter and that I had to call and inform them.

White House Tries To Destroy American Civilization

[From article]
Since the beginning of the post World War II era there has been one constant that has been the stabilizing force in the world: the stature, power and influence of the United States. In the matter of a few short years the Obama presidency has deliberately and overwhelmingly eroded that distinction resulting in his goal of global instability.
[. . .]
Mankind always has and always will have as their preeminent trait the need to survive, and to that end human beings are susceptible to committing crimes and exploiting their fellow man. Thus any society will always have many failings, but the key measure of any civilization is what it does to control these tendencies and strive for an equitable culture. No nation or culture in history has done more to advance the well-being of mankind than the United States and Western civilization.
[. . .]

To Obama the radical jihadist movement is the tip of the spear to bring down Europe and the West.
Thus Obama and his fellow-travelers can justify bankrupting the country as well as promoting unfettered legal and illegal immigration as a necessary part of the re-making and absolution of the United States. He has no compunction in forcing Israel, as an outpost of Western civilization, to compromise and bend to all the demands of the Palestinians knowing those concessions will eventually spell the end of the Jewish state.
[. . .]
Any so-called minor terrorist attack within America and Europe is a mere inconvenience and understandable due to the past sins of the United States and the West. Meanwhile he willingly discards old allies in the Middle East while turning a blind eye and tacitly promoting the radicalization of many countries in the region.
[. . .]
The population of the continent is quickly aging as the result of a catastrophically negative birth rate -- the end product of nearly 115 million abortions since 1970. As a potential solution to this dilemma, the countries of Western Europe, over the years, have flung open their borders to immigration from Muslim nations in Africa and the Middle East. Germany is now welcoming with open arms a million and half unvetted Syrian Muslim refugees in the hope they will become assimilated and a source of future labor in order to maintain their economy and ballooning social programs. Yet nowhere in Europe over the past forty years have the Muslim populations truly assimilated nor will the overwhelming majority as their religion is anathema to western culture and values.
[. . .]
The most insidious trait of the world’s so-called “best and brightest” is that they are incapable of admitting their mistakes. Instead of dealing with the harsh realities of the world today, far too many seek shelter in promoting vague climate change theories that may or may not happen in the next 100 years. Until the narcissism and ideology of today’s global ruling class, particularly in America, are replaced by those willing to face reality and act accordingly, the world will continue to become an exceedingly dangerous place.
[. . .]
Instead what is needed is a potential president who can tame the Washington cartel, appreciates that the Constitution is a limit on government, understands that the most immediate enemy on the world stage the nation must confront is Islamic supremacy, and above all has the intelligence, demeanor, and ability to assume global leadership with quiet but firm self-confidence. The only candidate from either party that meets those criteria is Ted Cruz.

Upper Class Black Privileged Students Play Race Card Over and Over Again and Again

White girls only at a party at Yale brought national outrage, shrieking and profanity from privileged black Jerelyn Luther, Yale senior from Fairfield, CT. Answer to her query "Who the f**k hired you?" is, Luther was on the search committee who chose the former Harvard master. She deleted her online presence to hide her privileged childhood. In Cambridge, MA October 2015, black extremist group banned white people from a candidate forum. Taxpayer funded WGBH-TV Boston PBS broadcasts weekly show for black only professionals who strategize how to get more money and power. Silence from privileged black Harvard University students. Roger Morris in his book, Partners in Power (1996) describes how weak persons with relaxed rectitude are placed into positions of power. Not just university presidents and provosts, but police chiefs, governors, mayors and CEOs. They are easier to manipulate. At University of Missouri even more privileged athletes threatened the university with $1 million loss if they did not play Brigham Young University in football. Hunger striker Butler is son of Exec. Vice President of Union Pacific, salary $8 million in 2014. Spineless administrators and Soros funded activists incite nonsensical misguided protests. Journalist professor who threatened videographer with violence on Missouri campus resigned after her shameless clueless outrage. It is 1968 all over again. Upper class radicals with nothing to lose shout at spineless useful idiot administrators. At Missouri, Wolfe and Stokes did no wrong. Targeted for their thoughts. What role did the White House play in encouraging these racial events? White House deserves more blame than Wolfe and Stokes.

Weak Leadership, Strong Black Racially Privileged Students at University of Missouri

Roger Morris described in his book, Partners in Power (1996) the weak leaders with relaxed rectitude who are being placed into positions in the United States. They are easier to manipulate. Not just at universities, but mayors, police chiefs, governors, CEOs, etc. Look around you to see if it is true.

[From article]
There is no evidence that the University of Missouri denies equal opportunity to its black students; those black students, like every other student on campus, are surrounded by lavish educational resources, available to them for the asking on a color-blind basis. The university’s faculty and administrators are surely among the most prejudice-free, well-meaning group of adults in human history. Thousands of Chinese students would undoubtedly do anything for the chance to be “systemically oppressed” by the University of Missouri’s stupendous laboratories and research funding.
But Missouri’s political class has embraced the patent delusion that the university is rife with racism. Governor Jay Nixon called on college officials to “ensure the University of Missouri is a place where all students can pursue their dreams in an environment of respect, tolerance and inclusion.” In truth, the only barrier to such pursuit is a student’s own lack of academic preparedness, should he have been admitted under a racial preference.
[. . .]

The precedent set here is monumental. Any student protester who can convince his college’s football or basketball team to threaten a strike will be able to bring administrators to their knees even more quickly than usual. Administrative cupidity and alumni fanaticism have turned the collegiate sports-industrial complex into the most powerful force on campus. If that behemoth can be reliably persuaded to support the latest racial agitation—and there will often be a critical mass of black athletes to appeal to—then an already supine leadership class will discard the reality principle once and for all.
[. . .]

Even without the sports boycott tool, however, the takeover of the college campus by racial hysteria appears all but complete. A video of a black female student at Yale screaming and cursing at her college master is a chilling portrait of self-engrossed, bathos-filled entitlement that has never been corrected by truth, much less restrained by manners: “Be quiet!” she shrieks at the frozen administrator, “Why the fuck did you accept the [master] position,” she continues at full, self-righteous cry.
[. . .]
This shocking video is a glimpse of the future—the boorish, hate-filled Cultural Revolution come to America. Colleges have capitulated completely to delusional victimology; unless employers are willing to stand up against the coddled products of the academic hothouse, we may all soon be living in a world of screaming, monomaniacal victims.

Morals of Media and Government Diminishing Respect of Taxpayers, Voters, Readers

[From article]
Not since the presidential election of 1932 has the American electorate been so mired in discontent. Despite the best efforts of the media to portray this discontentment as limited to the Republican base, numerous polls have confirmed a vast majority of the populace shares this same sense of disgruntlement. Yet the nation’s political, academic and corporate classes, whose lifestyles have never been better than they are today, are surprised and dumbfounded by this phenomenon. These elites prefer to look at this chapter in America’s political history as just the ranting of an immature and essentially ignorant citizenry who will, in time, see the error of their ways and settle for whatever crumbs the ruling class throws their direction.
[. . .]

With so much power and opportunity to enrich oneself, the overwhelming majority of the elected and appointed members of this fraternity will do anything to remain in office. As a consequence there is now a permanent cycle of corruption at play in Washington D.C. Large corporate interests (including unions and Wall Street), assorted large special interest organizations and the super wealthy, through their financial contributions to the political parties, either make certain that their interests are protected or that they have access to government largess.
Because of the corrupting influence of an unimaginable amount of money and power and the fact that this nation can only function politically with two national parties, the founding fathers’ vision of a government of the people, by the people and for the people is rapidly becoming one that is by and for the ruling class.

Rather than view education as the means for the people to attain success in a competitive world, the nation’s elites have recast it into a vehicle for their pet theories and political views. Whether it is the promulgation of self-esteem, the obsession with the evils of the nation’s past, or the perils the planet faces due to mankind’s very existence, among other inane curricula, the education establishment has assured that the American people are rapidly becoming among the least well-educated populations in the world.
[. . .]

Using the cudgel of the mainstream media and the entertainment complex, they have successfully inculcated a plurality of the American people into believing that there are no moral absolutes and that the state can grant any rights that it so chooses to whomever they choose.
Thus abortion and the subsequent sale of human body parts as well as the loss of respect for human life, the erosion of religious freedom, runaway out of wedlock birth, the glorification of violence in entertainment, and the undermining of any ethical or behavioral standards combined with a woeful educational regime has resulted in a nation without a rudder and two generations of Americans unsure of who they are and unable to cope with whatever the future may bring.
[. . .]

they all hide behind the fig leaf of caring and compassion for their fellow Americans.

Is It Likely Congress Will Stop Destructive Iranian Nuclear Weapons Deal? All Votes For Sale?

[From article]
Frontpage Magazine has published a bombshell report that has been met with total silence by the media. Daniel Greenfield’s piece is entitled “Traitor Senators Took Money from Iran Lobby, Back Iran Nukes.”
Our politicians bought by Iran include not just a list of senators and congressmen about to vote on the Iran deal. Recipients of Iran’s largess for their campaigns include President Obama, Joe Biden, John Kerry, and Hillary Clinton.
[. . .]
Iranian-American activists against the mullahs’ regime in Iran correctly described IAPAC as a "lobby group for a terrorist regime.
[. . .]
President Obama himself accepted $50,000 from one of the Iran Lobby founders.
[. . .]
Point of interest: the Israel Lobby, AIPAC, does not make direct campaign contributions.
Some on Greenfield’s list of traitors are no surprise. Senator Markey got the maximum campaign contribution from the Iranians and has announced his support for the Iran deal. So did Al Franken. Senator Jeanne Shaheen did it for half price.

Iranians are buying Democrat Congress (they already bought Kerry, Clinton, and Biden)
By Karin McQuillan
* * *

[From article]
Obama will get his veto-proof vote. He will be allowed to capitulate to Iran, with $120 billion thrown in for them to splurge on terror to their heart’s content. We will allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons and purchase ICBM missiles that can reach America. We will give birth to a Shi’ite-Sunni nuclear arms race. We will sow this whirlwind and live with the consequence for years. Because Democrats in Congress will give Obama their votes.
I understand Obama very well – he is a leftist hater who wants America (and Israel) punished and whittled down to size. But almost half our nation are Democrats. Not every Democrat in Congress is as radical as Obama. Few of them share his personal history and characterological problems. Why aren’t they standing up to him?
[. . .]
They lived through Obamacare and saw how Obama survived the citizens’ wrath just fine, while Democrats throughout the country saw themselves booted out of office, from State House to the Governor’s office to Congress. Yet they are willing to jump off the cliff for Obama again. What is going on? Is it just desperation to keep blacks voting as a block for Democrats? Are they being bought off by Obama and the Iranians?
[. . .]
The entire Democratic Party from top to bottom is made of niche interest groups who are bought off by having their narrow self-interest promoted above the interests of the country. The feminists get abortion without limit at the price of infanticide. The gays get gay marriage at the price of religious freedom. The teacher unions get lifetime job security at the price of lousy schools. The government bureaucrats get outsize salary/benefit/pension packages at the price of bankrupting the country. The race hustlers get the President fomenting racial hatred, at the price of people’s lives. Those dependent on the government teat get more and more stuff and a blind eye to fraud, while the economy sinks under our debt. The environmentalists and Silicon Valley get subsidies for green energy and EPA attacks on our energy industry, at the price of energy security and blue collar jobs. The Hispanic activists get illegal immigration, at the cost of good salaries and jobs for citizens. Hollywood and liberal Jews and academia get entry to the jobs and cocktail parties controlled by punitive, blacklisting, fellow liberals. And they all get to feel superior and sanctimonious at the same time by libeling conservatives as uncaring, racist, morons.
[. . .]
Each Democrat voting block cares only about themselves. That is the essence of the Democratic Party.
No wonder Democrats easy to buy off on Iran. Not one part of the Democrat voting bloc cares about national security, stability in the Middle East, Israel, or the dangers of a Sunni-Shite arms race. For most of them patriotism is so passé, so flyover country. They only care about getting their own perks. They are dreamers who believe their own B.S. about how beautiful the world will be once America stops being aggressive. So why should their representatives in Congress care about Obama’s insane handing over of the Middle East to Iran?
[. . .]
We can’t wait for Democrats to step up and stop the Iran Deal. They don’t care enough about America to do it. We can’t wait for our Republican politicians – as they did with Obamacare, they console themselves the world will go up in flames and tens or hundreds of thousands die, but Democrats will be punished at the polls next November. That is not good enough.
Tragically, the public is asleep as an Iranian nightmare is being loosed upon the world by our own fellow citizens and politicians.
[. . .]
Sen. Ted Cruz has invited Donald Trump to Washington next month for a rally against the Iran nuclear deal.
The two Republican rivals are set to appear at an event organized by the Tea Party Patriots, the Center for Security Politics, and the Zionist Organization of America, according to the Cruz campaign.

US Labor Secretary Brings His Relaxed Rectitude to West Coast Labor Dispute

Container ships wait at the dock to be unloaded at the Port of Oakland Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015, in Oakland, Calif. Companies that operate marine terminals didn't call workers to unload ships Thursday that carry car parts, furniture, clothing, electronics, just about anything made in Asia and destined for U.S. consumers. The partial lockout is the result of an increasingly damaging labor dispute between dockworkers and their employers. The two sides have been negotiating a new contract, and stalled talks have all but paralyzed 29 ports that handle about one-quarter of U.S. international trade, around $1 trillion worth of cargo annually.
(AP Photo/Ben Margot) The Associated Press

Tom Perez indicated his relaxed rectitude when he was chief of the Civil Rights Division in the Department of Justice. He and his staff attorney acolytes refused to enforce laws in a race neutral manner. It will be interesting to see how he works with unions who have strong leaders. See his history in J. Christian Adams book, Injustice; and John Fund and Hans von Spakovsky's, Who's Counting?

[From article]
A White House spokesman, Eric Schultz, said the president is getting Secretary Tom Perez involved because of concerns about the economic consequences of further delays.
Perez's mission is to meet with the parties and press them to quickly settle their differences at the negotiating table.
The waters off Los Angeles, Oakland and Washington state's Puget Sound have become parking lots for dozens of ships awaiting space at the docks.
Employers are locking out dockworkers who man the cranes that lift cargo on and off ships, saying they have slowed work as a bargaining tactic.
The union denies that.

Washington DC Dysfunction is Bipartisan

[From article]
Leadership on the Hill is not a virtue like character.
[. . .]
Both political parties agree the least that you can do for any social problem is to throw money at it.
[. . .]
Republicans and Democrats are in a foot race to the right when the subject is Vladimir Putin and a mad dash to the left, can’t genuflect fast enough, if the subject is Mohamed or Muslims. Never mind that America has everything in common with Moscow and near nothing in common with Mecca.
[. . .]
in almost any American election, apathy is the loudest voice in the public square.
Overall, about 35 percent of eligibles voted.
[. . .]
The mid-term election in any case was not about Republicans, it was about failed leadership, the lack of tactical and strategic vision in Washington.
[. . .]
Neither party is willing to recognize, nor confront in any meaningful way, the real security challenge of the 21st Century which is a 3rd World War which has already begun, the blitzkrieg of imperial religious fascism.
[. . .]
Playing the clock for legacy is all that remains for President Obama, a self-defined victim just a half step from ignominy.
[. . .]
To date, Obama foreign policy is a tale of serial incompetence. Yet the White House still blows in Sunni and now Shia ears as we speak. Cutting Shia Iran some slack on nuclear programs might serve two purposes, Obama legacy and another eye poke for Benjamin Netanyahu. It’s the Chicago way.
With Obama, foreign affairs, as with most of his politics, are personal.
[. . .]
Desperate deeds and delusional men are constant companions. Or as  the lady used to sing, “Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose.”
[. . .]
Obama was the first world leader to get a Nobel Prize for wishful thinking about peace and arms control.  The president has delivered neither.
[. . .]
Even a wounded politician is dangerous. Two years is a policy eternity. Weakness, compounded by ego, makes for a perilous mix. Misuse of executive orders puts the rule of law and separation of powers at risk at home.
[. . .]
Both parties now elevate the Russian to ogre yet haven’t a clue about what to do with Islamic wolves.
[. .  .]
Irredentism seems to be a war of necessity for Islam.
[. . .]
For the next two years Barack Hussein Obama, as the world’s most visible apologist for Islamism, will still be the most dangerous politician on the planet.

University Presidents Share Qualities of Politicians

Roger Morris, in his book, Partners in Power, about the Clintons, suggests that the preferred leader is  weak with relaxed rectitude. It applies to the public, private and academic communities.

[From article]
University presidents love to form study committees -- they embrace them almost with the same glee exhibited by Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland rushing into the barn to form a band: "Let's form a (band) committee". Bureaucracy at its best. But nowhere is there a word about addressing the pertinent issue here: false rape accusations. (Nor, to sharpen the point, a syllable about protecting the actual victims -- the falsely accused. That isn't part of the PC agenda.)

White House Shows Continuing Relaxed Rectitude

[From article]
Promising to "destroy" this group with the help of "a broad coalition" of "partners," President Obama said last week, "I welcome congressional support for this effort." He obviously thinks such support is optional, partly because this "effort," conducted by U.S. combat aircraft, is something other than war. There he goes again.
He spent seven months bombing Libya without congressional authorization and without complying with the War Powers Resolution. His lawyers argued that thousands of airstrikes, which professor Jack Goldsmith of Harvard Law School notes "killed thousands of people and effected regime change," did not constitute "hostilities." Professor Ilya Somin of George Mason University School of Law says, "Claims that large-scale air attacks don't count as warfare were specious when the administration trotted them out in defense of its intervention in Libya in 2011; and they have not improved with age."
[Obama says]
he also is empowered to strike the Islamic State by the 2001 Authorization for Use of Military Force that President George W. Bush sought before attacking the Taliban and al-Qaeda in Afghanistan. The AUMF says:
"The president is authorized to use all necessary and appropriate force against those nations, organizations, or persons he determines planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on Sept. 11, 2001, or harbored such organizations or persons, in order to prevent any future acts of international terrorism against the United States by such nations, organizations or persons."
But the Islamic State did not exist in 2001 and was born in hostility to the perpetrator of the 2001 attacks, al-Qaeda.
[. . .]

William F. Buckley's axiom that liberals who favor tolerating other views seem amazed that there are other views.
[. . .]
Regarding war with the Islamic State, the Constitution requires what prudence strongly recommends — congressional authorization.

Obama's Chief Of Staff Brings Obama Ethics To Chicago

[From article]
It seems that the former city comptroller, Amer Ahmad — a convicted criminal nonetheless hired by mayor Rahm Emanuel to oversee the city’s finances– is now on the lam; hardly a surprise coming from adherents of the criminal organization masquerading as a political party.
[. . .]
The long-running petty theft allegedly snagged Chenier $741,000, more than 12 times her $60,000-a-year salary.
It wasn’t until January, when Charter One bank staff noticed the unusual activity on one of Chenier’s accounts and froze it, that she was nailed by a joint investigation that included the FBI, the IRS and Inspector General Joe Ferguson’s office. Chenier also lived in suburban Homewood, in violation of the city’s residency rule.
An account given in the federal complaint of Chenier’s undoing by a Charter One bank employee showed the alleged theft was stunning in its lack of sophistication. Chenier had opened a bank account called “OEMC Chenier,” in which she deposited permit checks made payable to the city’s Office of Emergency Management and Communication, according to the complaint. But when quizzed by the bank worker about the deposits, she allegedly claimed they were “all fine.”
Asked if the check makers would have the same response, she allegedly then told the bank worker, “Please don’t call the check makers. I will lose my job.”
She allegedly told the banker she’d be willing to pay back the money and asked the banker “not to report this,” then claimed that her intent in opening the account was to start a cleaning business named “Office of Emergency Management and Cleaning” but that the business had failed, the complaint alleges. When the banker then told her that her actions could be construed as embezzling, she allegedly responded, “Please don’t use those words.”
As the Left has taught us, words are far more important than deeds.

Pro Se Lawsuit Challenges Judge Selection Process

If the process is flawed maybe all of the judges appointed will be removed from the bench. Politicians in MA have little use for laws and procedure. To them laws are optional due to the one party dictatorship in the state. In Cambridge e.g., the City Council rules demand their meetings be run by Robert's Rules of Order. None of them for 20 years that I've been watching know those rules. The only one they know is to suspend the rules. Legally all of the decisions violate due process rights of citizens. But what court in this depraved state would uphold the laws? Not likely at all. How many Judge Mark Wolfs are there in the world. See Howie Carr's newest book, Hitman to see how many overtly biased lawyers with relaxed rectitude are appointed to the state and US courts in MA. Same sex marriage was legalized in violation of the MA state Constitution. No one has ever recognized that flawed court decision which continues to create controversy by the spineless politicians with limited rational abilities who lead the state.

Cambridge City Council Begins Search for New Leader

Councillor Craig A. Kelley said "the end of Healy’s tenure [i]s a chance to change the city." In The Dictator's Handbook, about dictatorships like Cambridge, the authors observe that the end of the tenure of one leader and the beginning of the tenure of a new leader is the most opportune time to bring about change. Whether that applies to Cambridge, as a city is another matter. Government makes rules. It does not control the population. Councilor Simmons "said that she would like to hire an independent search bureau to conduct a preliminary search for candidates." That's what the Cambridge City Council does best. They spend other people's money hiring others to do what they were elected to do. They proudly admit that they are incapable of doing anything more than talk nonsense and spend money. Cambridge City Councilors are typical politicians in this country in the 21st Century. Inept, lacking common sense and integrity, spineless, with relaxed rectitude. These councilors with their transferable skills could be elected anywhere for any elected position in the country!

Romney Did Not Invite Palin To Convention.

Why is it that grown men who ordinarily have agreeable personalities freeze and become fearful when they run for President? It happened with Bob Dole who has a great sense of humor but showed none of it during his campaign. John McCain is an intelligent rational man who acted as if he feared being called a racist if he criticized Obama in 2008. Now Romney appears to be doing the same. How can one woman make so many men fearful of her? Her personality, integrity and common sense make spineless politicians tremble. What is with the parties which cannot find or who fear nominating strong people with integrity to run for office? The two parties in the US are run by criminals who want only weak candidates with relaxed rectitude to ensure they can continue to steal taxpayer funds wholesale no matter who wins. Sad what happened to this great nation, killing itself from within.

How do you solve a problem like Sarah? Romney misses out in stand-off with loose cannon diva who could deliver him the backing of the Tea Party

City Ignored Unlawful Bias: Weak Oversight by City Council

Four Cambridge Human Rights Commissioners say, "Our attempt in 2005 to acquire general information about city employee complaints of discrimination, to receive a copy of the Monteiro complaint and to request the city law department to meet with us simply to provide us with the information, which the ordinance clearly mandates that we should have, was met with hostility. We were accused by the law department with interfering, told that our inquiry was out of line and informed that as a city-appointed body our interest and concern should be with city officials, when our mandate is to be concerned with and “protect… the human rights of all city… employees.” Furthermore, our attempt to be “properly informed,” we were told, carried the threat of a conflict of interest."

Yet the former Human Rights Executive Director, Quoc Tran, an associate of the police department refused to reveal public records to me about a proposed amendment to the city Human Rights ordinance, on two occasions. He also refused to accept complaints about unlawful discrimination in the city by city employees against persons with disabilities. He thought it was funny. He used the same arguments the commissioners say city officials used to them, that it was a conflict of interest. Curiously the city employs two affirmative action officers or diversity officers at $80,000 per year to address bias and hurt feelings, duplicating the work of the MCAD. These two city employees have no enforcement power unlike the Human Rights Commission which does. But the Diversity officers do not address hurt feelings of persons with disabilities or unlawful bias against them. These two officers are where city employees are supposed to go if they do not want to go to the MCAD because it is too far. My complaints to the City Council about the Human Rights Commission were ignored over many years. It shows that the City Councilors, the voters and taxpayers have no interest in addressing unlawful abuses by city officials. It is a statewide problem in MA where laws are optional. What role does Harvard play with this pervasive lawlessness? I am reminded of Roger Morris' observation in his tome, "Partners in Power," regarding the Clintons. He said the preferred profile of a leader is a weak person with relaxed rectitude. Does that describe the City Councilors, Police Commissioners, US Senators, US Reps, state reps and state senators in MA? How about the Executive Director of the Human Rights Commission and the City Officials with whom he shared opinions?

Letter: No information on Monteiro case from the start
[Editor’s note: The following letter was sent to the Cambridge City Council last week by former Cambridge Human Rights Commissioners. Since that time, the remaining cases mentioned in the letter have been settled by the city.]

Pols Wanted: Weak With Relaxed Rectitude Preferred

Roger Morris reports in his book, Partners in Power, about the Clintons, that the preferred leader for the past 50 years is a weak person with relaxed rectitude. It applies to chiefs of police agencies, elected officials, and corporate leaders. It is not complete yet but that is the paradigm for leadership. It allows criminals and unelected bureaucrats to control institutions.
