Black Racist Activists Deny Free Speech To Others At DePaul University

[From article]
Milo Yiannopoulos’ event at DePaul University had to be cut short Tuesday night after protesters stormed the stage, blew whistles, grabbed the microphone out of the interviewer’s hand, and threatened to punch Yiannopoulos in the face.

Snowflakes Cannot Tolerate Crowded Subways

This is an apparent snowflake who is unable to wait two minutes for the next train or to move to another car which is not so crowded. He is probably unable to function in New York City or Tokyo, where the trains are really crowded.

[From article]
Buses and subway cars are often over-crowded to a degree that would be considered inhumane.
[. . .]
The current state of service is no way to treat the good citizens of the commonwealth—it is patently disrespectful and lacking in the moral decency that is integral to the American ideal.

Republicans Need To Grow A Spine

[From article]
Social democracy seems to be crumbling in slow motion.
Need we mention Flint, Michigan or Baltimore, Maryland as exemplars? Baltimore merely sets itself afire; Flint literally poisons constituents. First, the city goes broke and then the same dingbats who rode profligacy to ground now maim their citizens with lead laden water in the name of economy. Flint, like most urban centers in America, is a broken liberal monopoly, a polity that will shop until it literally drops – or squanders taxes until you drop. A dependent activist majority on the left now defines the agenda for an ever shrinking passive, yet barely productive, minority. Democracy, as a virtue, may be reaching its sell-by date.
Not that performance is any better inside the Beltway. Washington has invested in wasteful serial wars abroad that no one at DOD or the US State Department has any intention of winning. Here; debt, deficit, and the dead don’t matter.
[. . .]
Indeed, if you included foreigners in the body count, poor policy choices have killed more folks in the past decade than all Islamic terror groups combined. That’s a number that you will never see above the fold.
Dying for democracy or freedom is one thing. Dying for elected incompetence, or political cowards and their ephemeral legacies, is something else. The dark side of democracy is the inclination to vote for the worst among us. The most offensive part of the wasted treasure and lives, abroad especially, is the companion banality. To wit: the enemy is not named, war is not declared, Islam is appeased, and those serial failures in the Ummah have no names or expiration dates.
The horns of modern conflict dilemma are two; no foreseeable end to small wars and no humane solution to the predictable refugee problem – no solutions short of open borders and cultural fratricide. After a decade of dithering, the great national security questions are now “when” not what or if.

Indeed, it’s a toss-up for which comes first, fiscal collapse or unilateral cultural surrender?
Now comes another American presidential election in 2016, dominated again, for the most part, by politically correct conventional wisdom on both sides of the aisle. Donald Trump is now a no man’s land of candor between two pandering major American political factions.
[. . .]
If we are to take down all the monuments to all heroes who have fallen out of favor with millennials, then we might clear the public squares across America, starting with the capital. Indeed, Marion Barry could replace Thomas Jefferson at the Tidal Basin. Jefferson’s soaring rhetoric could be replaced with rap, rant, or doggerel such as: “The bitch set me up.”
Withal, veiled history is still history. The past cannot be altered by fiat, felled statues -- or flags.
[. . .]
Nomenklatura of both parties are conspiring to veto the people’s choice, a foolish gambit especially for the righteous Right. Blue collar, evangelical, and conservative stay-at-home votes made Mitt Romney a footnote in the last election.
If Trump picks up his marbles and goes back to making money in 2016, he will take a legion of unhappy voters with him -- and Clinton III becomes a sure thing.
[. . .]

Playing the race and vagina cards in the primaries is usually a tactic of the left. Republican elites, by moving left too, are perilously close to alienating the angry, ethical, God fearing, hardworking, productive, and taxpaying demographics. Political apathy, like civic enthusiasm, is a created culture.
If conservative thinkers worthy of the name had any good instincts, they would allow the primaries to play out, winner take all. Let democracy work the way it is supposed to. Trust the wisdom of crowds. Who needs another anointed, politically correct shape shifter?
At the moment, unfortunately, the usual media pundits and the RNC have taken their eyes off the ball. Instead of illuminating Clinton sleaze, Republicans are directing most brickbats at their own front runner.
[. . .]
If Trump gets the Republican nod, consider all the talent he has to choose from for vice president, cabinet posts, and department heads. The Republican bench is deep:
[. . .]
Donald Trump, warts and all, makes a better candidate than he does a defector. Republicans need to recalibrate their gun sights on the Obama/Clinton camps.

Spineless Dumbed Down Congressmen Gave Away Their Power. Can Ryan Get It Back?

[From article]
The Affordable Care Act, for example, isn’t so much a piece of legislation as a letter of marque for the Health and Human Services.
[. . .]
This is just one example of how Congress routinely vests legislative power in the executive branch.
[. . .]
The Constitution says only Congress can levy taxes. The founders had this crazy idea called “no taxation without representation.” And yet, numerous agencies are self-funding, raising money without having to worry about Congress’ power of the purse.
[. . .]
These agencies are, furthermore, often unaccountable to the judicial branch. Bureaucrats have their own administrative courts, which routinely deny traditional due process to plaintiffs.
The executive branch was never supposed to be this powerful. Richard Neustadt famously wrote in “Presidential Power” that the presidency is an inherently weak office and therefore the president’s chief power is “persuasion.”
[. . .]
President Obama has certainly tried to do that. But it’s turned out that his powers of persuasion have been greatly exaggerated, particularly in this age of polarization.
Unable to coax the country in his direction, Obama has relied on his beloved “pen and phone” strategy — that is, signing executive orders — often to the cheers of congressional Democrats apparently eager to celebrate their institutional gelding.
[. . .]
Clawing back the legislative function can’t be done overnight and requires a cultural transformation of Congress itself.

Accommodating Muslims Who Refuse to Assimilate

[From article]
radical Islamists were allowed to take over entire neighborhoods, in which all who enter must conform to sharia. French police will not enter without sizable reinforcements. Paris's government tolerated this nonsense to prove they are not racist; politely allowing invaders to take over their homeland – putting the lives of Parisians at risk. The deaths of over 100 Parisians is closely related to their government insanely submitting to political correctness – playing nice with evil.
[. . .]

Parisians are restricted from having guns. Thus, the Islamic devils knew they were free to play God. The youths in that concert hall were totally at the mercy of the terrorists, who were free of concerns of facing armed resistance. Void of humanity, the evil terrorists freely executed helpless youths.
[. . .]
Obama, wimpy Republicans, and citizens intimidated by PC are all guilty of playing nice with evil.
[. . .]
contrary to Obama's insidious lie that the majority are widows and orphans, 72% of Syrian refugees are young men. It infuriates me that this administration lies and seeks to deceive us at every turn.

Conformity, Irrational Thought Pervasive on College Campuses

[From article]
Is it out of order to suggest that students excel in coursework and complete their required reading before reaching inflexible conclusions and demanding others adhere to them? Anything else would be utterly premature and superficial. Their thoughts haven’t had sufficient time to marinate and be subjected to vigorous cross-examination, which is one of the reasons the most vocal protesters are prone to trying to silence anyone who dares to challenge them. That’s what the insecure do. A person who is confident in his or her conclusions welcomes debate. The juvenile simply call out all their immature ego defense mechanisms.
[. . .]
Pressure to conform is nothing new, but shockingly it all-too-often comes from the professors these days, which is indefensible given the vastly unequal power differential. (Why are these inequality-obsessed professors not concerned with that?) This is a form of educational malpractice and abuse: teaching students what to think instead of how to think. This undue pressure is a problem that should be addressed at the administrative level to maintain the integrity of the institution and its mode of academic inquiry, but we are seeing reluctance, impotence, and complicity on far too many campuses.
[. . .]

Colleges are supposed to inculcate the ability to engage in reasoned free thought, not to harass the immature into submission to a preprogrammed ideological agenda.
[. . .]
The highest level of thought is the Socratic dialectic, in which intelligent people of varying opinions engage in a civil sharing of ideas that leads everyone to a greater understanding of the full complexity of the issues involved.
[. . .]
Today, we have actually reached the point where fed-up students at Brown University have resorted to forming a closed, secret group where they are able to speak freely and openly with one another. This is how far the Academy has devolved; students now must be protected from it in order to learn despite it.
[. . .]
College itself must remain a protected space where students and faculty are free to explore and ask questions and express ideas without threats or harassment. This ideological battle has already been fought and decisively won and the First Amendment is the result. Use it.

Roman History Repeating in North America. An Empire Destroys Itself

[From article]
The story of the refugee crisis is told in the final chapter of Edward Gibbon’s classic The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire. About 500,000 Goths, men, women and children, lined the bank of the Danube River for miles, seeking to cross:
With outstretched arms and pathetic lamentations they loudly deplored their past misfortunes and their present danger; acknowledged that their only hope of safety was in the clemency of the Roman government; and most solemnly protested that, if the gracious liberality of the emperor would permit them to cultivate the waste lands of Thrace, they should ever hold themselves bound, by the strongest obligations of duty and gratitude, to obey the laws and to guard the limits of the republic.
The Goths tried to force the mile-wide Danube, but failed and were driven back by Roman soldiers. Many Goths drowned. Perhaps a pathetic child’s body washed ashore. The callous brutality outraged Roman opinion. The Roman soldiers who had fought off the Goths were condemned.

[. . .]
Valens temporarily settled the Goths in refugee camps, where they were mistreated and starved. Gibbon describes the Goths as an aggressive people who react with “insolence” or “indignation” if they conceive themselves “to be objects either of fear or of contempt.”
If Valens thought that the Goths would be forever grateful to him and Rome, he was mistaken. In 378 they killed Valens at the Battle of Adrianople. In 397 they pillaged Greece. In 410 they sacked Rome, which helped plunge Europe into the chaos of the Dark Ages.
Many Goths settled down to peaceful lives. But a sufficient number engaged in looting and depredations to change Europe forever.

[. . .]
The fruits of Europe’s difficulty assimilating migrants are readily apparent, and bode poorly.
Although the U.S. has had scattered incidents of terrorism committed by Muslim immigrants, it has not experienced systematic efforts by immigrants to suppress speech and debate through violence and intimidation.
[. . .]
Pamela Geller cited Peter Hammond, who laid out the common pattern, citing examples for each of her generalizations. Here is a selection:
“As long as the Muslim population remains around or under 2% in any given country, they will be for the most part be regarded as a peace-loving minority, and not as a threat to other citizens.”
“At 2% to 5%, they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups, often with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs.”
“From 5% on … they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves (within their ghettos) under Sharia, the Islamic Law.”
“When Muslims approach 10% of the population, they tend to increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions.”

“After reaching 20%, nations can expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings, and the burnings of Christian churches and Jewish synagogues.”
“At 40%, nations experience widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks, and ongoing militia warfare.”
The Muslim population in France is already above 5%, so some Muslim areas of the country are effectively under Sharia law. Jews, a favorite target of radical Muslims, are being forced to emigrate. And Muslim car burnings, riots, and terrorism are on the uptick.
In the U.S., the current Muslim population is about 2%, but with President Obama’s help, it is growing at warp speed. According to Investor’s Business Daily, as of August 20 Rand Paul and Donald Trump were the only two major candidates for president calling for limits on Muslim immigration.

Is It Likely Congress Will Stop Destructive Iranian Nuclear Weapons Deal? All Votes For Sale?

[From article]
Frontpage Magazine has published a bombshell report that has been met with total silence by the media. Daniel Greenfield’s piece is entitled “Traitor Senators Took Money from Iran Lobby, Back Iran Nukes.”
Our politicians bought by Iran include not just a list of senators and congressmen about to vote on the Iran deal. Recipients of Iran’s largess for their campaigns include President Obama, Joe Biden, John Kerry, and Hillary Clinton.
[. . .]
Iranian-American activists against the mullahs’ regime in Iran correctly described IAPAC as a "lobby group for a terrorist regime.
[. . .]
President Obama himself accepted $50,000 from one of the Iran Lobby founders.
[. . .]
Point of interest: the Israel Lobby, AIPAC, does not make direct campaign contributions.
Some on Greenfield’s list of traitors are no surprise. Senator Markey got the maximum campaign contribution from the Iranians and has announced his support for the Iran deal. So did Al Franken. Senator Jeanne Shaheen did it for half price.

Iranians are buying Democrat Congress (they already bought Kerry, Clinton, and Biden)
By Karin McQuillan
* * *

[From article]
Obama will get his veto-proof vote. He will be allowed to capitulate to Iran, with $120 billion thrown in for them to splurge on terror to their heart’s content. We will allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons and purchase ICBM missiles that can reach America. We will give birth to a Shi’ite-Sunni nuclear arms race. We will sow this whirlwind and live with the consequence for years. Because Democrats in Congress will give Obama their votes.
I understand Obama very well – he is a leftist hater who wants America (and Israel) punished and whittled down to size. But almost half our nation are Democrats. Not every Democrat in Congress is as radical as Obama. Few of them share his personal history and characterological problems. Why aren’t they standing up to him?
[. . .]
They lived through Obamacare and saw how Obama survived the citizens’ wrath just fine, while Democrats throughout the country saw themselves booted out of office, from State House to the Governor’s office to Congress. Yet they are willing to jump off the cliff for Obama again. What is going on? Is it just desperation to keep blacks voting as a block for Democrats? Are they being bought off by Obama and the Iranians?
[. . .]
The entire Democratic Party from top to bottom is made of niche interest groups who are bought off by having their narrow self-interest promoted above the interests of the country. The feminists get abortion without limit at the price of infanticide. The gays get gay marriage at the price of religious freedom. The teacher unions get lifetime job security at the price of lousy schools. The government bureaucrats get outsize salary/benefit/pension packages at the price of bankrupting the country. The race hustlers get the President fomenting racial hatred, at the price of people’s lives. Those dependent on the government teat get more and more stuff and a blind eye to fraud, while the economy sinks under our debt. The environmentalists and Silicon Valley get subsidies for green energy and EPA attacks on our energy industry, at the price of energy security and blue collar jobs. The Hispanic activists get illegal immigration, at the cost of good salaries and jobs for citizens. Hollywood and liberal Jews and academia get entry to the jobs and cocktail parties controlled by punitive, blacklisting, fellow liberals. And they all get to feel superior and sanctimonious at the same time by libeling conservatives as uncaring, racist, morons.
[. . .]
Each Democrat voting block cares only about themselves. That is the essence of the Democratic Party.
No wonder Democrats easy to buy off on Iran. Not one part of the Democrat voting bloc cares about national security, stability in the Middle East, Israel, or the dangers of a Sunni-Shite arms race. For most of them patriotism is so passé, so flyover country. They only care about getting their own perks. They are dreamers who believe their own B.S. about how beautiful the world will be once America stops being aggressive. So why should their representatives in Congress care about Obama’s insane handing over of the Middle East to Iran?
[. . .]
We can’t wait for Democrats to step up and stop the Iran Deal. They don’t care enough about America to do it. We can’t wait for our Republican politicians – as they did with Obamacare, they console themselves the world will go up in flames and tens or hundreds of thousands die, but Democrats will be punished at the polls next November. That is not good enough.
Tragically, the public is asleep as an Iranian nightmare is being loosed upon the world by our own fellow citizens and politicians.
[. . .]
Sen. Ted Cruz has invited Donald Trump to Washington next month for a rally against the Iran nuclear deal.
The two Republican rivals are set to appear at an event organized by the Tea Party Patriots, the Center for Security Politics, and the Zionist Organization of America, according to the Cruz campaign.

University Presidents Share Qualities of Politicians

Roger Morris, in his book, Partners in Power, about the Clintons, suggests that the preferred leader is  weak with relaxed rectitude. It applies to the public, private and academic communities.

[From article]
University presidents love to form study committees -- they embrace them almost with the same glee exhibited by Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland rushing into the barn to form a band: "Let's form a (band) committee". Bureaucracy at its best. But nowhere is there a word about addressing the pertinent issue here: false rape accusations. (Nor, to sharpen the point, a syllable about protecting the actual victims -- the falsely accused. That isn't part of the PC agenda.)

Weak Maryland Democratic Politicians Play Race Card

[From article]
Maryland Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown was supposed to have an easy victory this November. The Democrat in a state with a two-to-one voter registration advantage over Republicans was expected to coast to victory in the deeply blue state and become its first African-American governor. That’s not shaping up to be the case.
Brown is still favored to win, but polls have it much closer than conventional wisdom thought it would be. Republican challenger Larry Hogan is within single digits and gaining steam.
[. . .]
That leads to the next page, reading, “Vote for Anthony Brown as Maryland’s first African-American Governor.” And includes, “History is watching to see if we vote.”
[. . .]
We’ve seen it this cycle in North Carolina, where parishioners at a black church received fliers using images of a lynching and warning if Democrat Kay Hagan loses President Obama will be impeached, and Georgia, where Democrats told voters to vote for Democrats “to prevent another Ferguson.” Now we see it in the very, very blue Maryland.

Iran Leader Says Obama Weakest President

[From article]
The Iranian president’s senior advisor has called President Barack Obama “the weakest of U.S. presidents” and described the U.S. leader’s tenure in office as “humiliating,” according to a translation of the highly candid comments provided to the Free Beacon.
[. . .]
“Americans witnessed their greatest defeats in Obama’s era: Terrorism expanded, [the] U.S. had huge defeats under Obama [and] that is why they want to compromise with Iran,” Younesi said.
The criticism of Obama echoes comments made recently by other world leaders and even former members of the president’s own staff, such as Former Defense Secretary Robert Gates.

White House Messes Will Take Extensive Work to Undo

Myron Magnet is not fooled by the misguided notion that Obama is incompetent. He recognizes that what Obama has done is intentional. It does not change the effects, but it may raise an alarm among  others to watch more closely what the White House does and to add some skepticism to what is broadcast by the many PR flacks and propagandists employed therein. He also recognizes that Obamacare is an insurance law. It does nothing to improve the delivery of medical services and care to patients. In order to improve the medical system spines are required. Politicians lack them. Many abuses are easily fixed. But it requires standing up to the medical industry which thrives financially from the current mess. Also the lack of accountability for the 100,000 deaths each year from medical negligence; and the out-of-control use of human subjects for experimental research projects.

[From article]

Anyone who believes the talk about how Barack Obama is already a lame-duck president, detached and irrelevant, is deluding himself. President Obama has accomplished more or less what he set out to accomplish. He has made himself the most consequential and transformative president since Lyndon Johnson. His foreign policy has been more systematically destructive of the world order and American power than LBJ’s Vietnam War. His wrong-headed domestic policy has proved more catastrophic and intentionally hard to correct than Johnson’s madcap War on Poverty, whose consequences still bedevil our society.
[. . .]
Obamacare has created and then to untangle the confusion, some of it intentional, some inadvertent.
[. . .]
Now we have anarchy, and it will require leadership and vision beyond what America usually can call upon to hose out Obama’s Augean stables and create order.
[. . .]
Meanwhile, the president has overturned the Constitution to keep his command-and-control health-insurance scheme alive. The law that Congress wrote (but didn’t read, under the shameless leadership of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi) turned out to be, as was inevitable, filled with holes and errors. No matter: a presidential edict a day keeps collapse away. But the Constitution doesn’t allow for government by executive edict. That’s for monarchy or dictatorship. Nevertheless, after such an example, it will take us some time to reestablish the principle that the president’s duty is to see that the laws are faithfully executed, and that his power doesn’t go beyond that—doesn’t extend, for example, to abolishing our national border.
[. . .]
anti-constitutional extremes that make a mockery of “government of the people, by the people, and for the people” and would have the Founding Fathers spinning in their graves.
[. . .]
It is proverbially easy to destroy something but hard to build it up. Faced with such wreckage of policies and systems laboriously constructed by Americans over decades and centuries, who knows where to start the work of repair, and how to do it?

Obama's Weakness Encourages Foreign Power Abuses

[From article]
In 2012, in the wake of a well-planned military assault on sovereign US territory in Benghazi and the first murder of a US ambassador in a third of a century, the Obama Administration chose to pretend that it was something to do with an obscure YouTube video. The President of Libya blamed the attack on Ansar al-Sharia and linked them to al-Qaeda's Maghreb affiliate, but Obama, Mrs Clinton, Susan Rice and their court eunuchs in the media covered their ears and said, "Can't hear you." So the men who sacked the diplomatic mission and killed its staff are all still walking around, but back in California the maker of the unseen video was tossed in jail where he languishes to this day. Again, if you were in Teheran, Moscow, Kabul, Damascus, this seemingly perverse misdirection told you something more about how committed America was to that passivity: The superpower's preferred foreign-policy posture, even after a direct, bloody assault on its own territory, was to call "Check, please!" and head for the exit.
[. . .]
Obama has stayed consistently "unbelievably small" from Cairo to Benghazi to Damascus to Mosul, even as the dominoes are getting bigger. America is leaving from behind - going, going, gone.

Cheney: Obama Weak Leader

[From article]
Former Vice President Dick Cheney told Fox News’ Sean Hannity Wednesday that he believes President Obama is a “very, very weak president” who does not understand America's obligations around the world.
Cheney said on “Hannity” he has spoken with many people in the Middle East who believe Obama’s leadership has reduced American’s influence overseas.

Has Cheney considered that Obama may be intentionally weakening the U.S., destroying it from within?

Is Goal of Diversity To Keep Population Divided and Weak?

Former Harvard U. Professor of Government James Q. Wilson:"most ethnic groups, when reasonably free to choose a place to live, have chosen to live among people similar to themselves." Obama Surrenders

[From article]
But the crisis has not yet ended. It’s just moved from Syria to Washington. There is now a power vacuum in Washington. For either there’s a new President Obama — one who has learned to share power not only with the other branches, but also with other points of view within America — or a new President in the manner of Gerald Ford after Nixon left. The old omnipotent President Obama, able to make the seas fall, the child of the world uniquely equipped to build bridges everywhere, answerable only to himself, is gone.

Romney Did Not Invite Palin To Convention.

Why is it that grown men who ordinarily have agreeable personalities freeze and become fearful when they run for President? It happened with Bob Dole who has a great sense of humor but showed none of it during his campaign. John McCain is an intelligent rational man who acted as if he feared being called a racist if he criticized Obama in 2008. Now Romney appears to be doing the same. How can one woman make so many men fearful of her? Her personality, integrity and common sense make spineless politicians tremble. What is with the parties which cannot find or who fear nominating strong people with integrity to run for office? The two parties in the US are run by criminals who want only weak candidates with relaxed rectitude to ensure they can continue to steal taxpayer funds wholesale no matter who wins. Sad what happened to this great nation, killing itself from within.
