Police are looking for four juveniles who are accused of robbing an MIT student in Cambridge.
Police said it happened Sunday morning near the area of Brookline and Pacific streets. The victim said the suspects threatened him with a knife and demanded money.
He said he was then hit on the head and the robbers took his iPhone and wallet. They then fled on bicycles.
Cambridge Police are investigating other similar incidents from over the weekend.

Two Dead After Sword Attack at School in Sweden

The 21-year-old man, who launched a sword attack on a school in Sweden and stabbed two teachers and two pupils, stopped to pose for pictures with students before continuing his horrific spree.
Wearing a mask and holding a sword already covered in blood, the attacker, stands next to two young students at the school, seconds before stabbing a teacher, who died at the scene.
Another teacher was rushed to hospital alongside the injured students, two boys aged 11 and 15. The 11-year-old later died from his wounds.
The MailOnline understands the suspected killer to be Anton Lundin-Petterson, from Trollhättan, north of Gothenburg.

The anonymous girl who took the photograph told Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet that they thought it was a Halloween prank when they saw the masked man.
As Lundin-Pettersson allegedly moved across the school during his attack, the young student had no idea that the blood on the large sword he was holding was real.
She told the newspaper that she had left her classroom to fetch a pen when she spotted two friends standing with a man wearing a mask and holding a blood-covered knife.

Thinking that the attacker had dressed up as a holiday joke, her friends wanted a picture with him, so she obliged.
Seconds after the picture was taken, their teacher came out of the classroom and told the killer to leave as he was scaring the children.
'He just nodded, then he plunged the large knife into the teacher's right side. The last thing I heard him say was "call an ambulance".'

Police responded to an emergency call saying a masked man equipped with a sword was on the premises and that a person had been attacked at or near the school cafeteria, police said
Speaking at a press conference on Thursday afternoon, Tomas Fuxborg of Västra Götaland Police called the attack 'one of the worst events in Swedish history'.
Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven, who was heading to Trollhattan, described Thursday as a 'black day.'

"Judge Gertner emphasized the importance of objective neuroscience." What evidence establishes a causal connection between neuroscience and crime? In 1965 Daniel Patrick Moynihan published his report about youth from single parent homes. In 1995 John Di'Iulio described a large group of 7- to 10-year-old boys who were "fatherless, Godless, and jobless." Scholars and academics refuse to address this known source of violence and crime. Neuroscience is interesting. How does it prevent crime? Robert T. Kinscherff [. . .] said there is a need [to understand] conditions that lead to youth delinquency. [and government] should be 'smart on crime.'” He cites the Justice Dept, which has little jurisdiction over violent crimes, mostly a state matter. Senator Moynihan and Prof. Di'lulio provide material for "conditions" leading to "delinquency." In 1965 New York Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan issued his study of the black American family. His observations remain accurate and the situation has only gotten worse. Rev. Rivers and Police Commissioner Evans are correct. Why has there been little effort to implement the findings of Sen. Moynihan? John DiIulio, political scientist reported findings similar to Moynihan. Yet the problems remain. It seems as if the lack of will among political leaders is an unresponsive bureaucracy.

Sheikh Omar Shahin identified himself as IRUSA’s Public Relations Director in 2010 and a bio stated he held the position in 2007.
Shahin raised money for the Holy Land Foundation and also held a position with KindHearts, both charities shut down for funding Hamas. He also hosted events by the Islamic Association for Palestine, a Hamas-tied group that is now defunct.

The effort to separate good protesters from bad rioters is doomed to fail because too many people in both groups are motivated by hatred for cops. Fanning that flame while expecting to control the damage is mission impossible, even for Sharpton and the skilled community organizers in the White House and City Hall.
Recall that some anti-police protesters in New York last December chanted, “What do we want? Dead cops” a week before Officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos were assassinated. Only then did de Blasio stop praising the protesters and letting them shut down highways and invade stores with impunity.
Obama, even as Baltimore still smoldered over the Freddie Gray case, sneered that incidents involving dead black men and cops were “not new, ” then, after Moore died, switched gears to say cops have “a tough job.” The American Civil Liberties Uniontweeted after charges were filed against six Baltimore cops that the “Black Spring has begun,” an awkward phrase given that three of the charged cops are black.

The progressives condemn stop-and-frisk and virtually eliminate it, then profess to be shocked when young thugs carry and use illegal guns. Trying to avoid blame, the progressives demand another round of social programs to keep troublemakers out of trouble.

Criticism of Black Racial Violence Beginning to Appear

Denial of pervasive black racism is apparent at Harvard University as expressed in their student newspaper, The Crimson, and in Harvard's host city Cambridge MA as expressed in the local weekly publication, The Cambridge Chronicle. Black racism is never reported by either newspaper. Cambridge City police refuse to identify the race or skin color of suspects who they arrest. When a civilian posts a comment lamenting abuse of politicians, not black citizens, but politicians, black readers make personal attacks, on the person who made the comment calling them "racist," "bitter," "an idiot," and worse. How much influence does Harvard have making policy across the US? It is quite extensive. Civility is often the excuse to silence criticism of black officials, and black celebrities.

This is a PR piece for more taxpayer funds. It is a way to keep people employed without addressing the underlying cause of youth violence. In 1991 a few criminal justice experts recognized that single parent homes was a contributing factor. Liberals who promote this funding refuse to focus. The latest figure is 40 percent of US births are to unmarried women. That is a large source of much of youth violence.

It is a recurring problem with new editors. Few journalists are aware of the role of NAMI, and how many serious psychiatric abuses are accepted.

NAMI says, "The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Massachusetts, [is] a family-based advocacy and support group." That sounds as if they are concerned with protecting patients from abuses. NAMI promotes treatment. They work for the drug companies as a corporate "grass-roots" lobbyist. It is the most successful deception by corporations in the US.
Sen. Tolman gets awards from NAMI because he delivers for their campaign contributions to promote more taxpayer funds for more treatment. We see over and over again and again the results of the over-drugging of young people, most recently at Lincoln-Sudbury High School where a young man on psychiatric drugs killed another student.
Edel Quinn's anger ("Appalled at DSS," Letter, Cambridge Chronicle, February 14, 2007) should be directed at the legislature, which wrote the laws permitting the drug abuses of young people. Clonidine, the drug Riley overdosed on, is a hypertension drug approved for adults, but not for children. Rather than honoring NAMI and Tolman they should be exposed as the cause of much violence in this country.
US journalists and politicians remain ignorant of the clinical studies in England proving that psychiatric drugs cause violence. It is time to expose the abuses of NAMI and the drug companies, and to stop them.

I am appalled again to see the mistakes made by DSS in the case of the death of little Rebecca Riley, RIP. The last time I was so appalled was when Haleigh Poutre’s case was shown on television. The then-governor of the state of Massachusetts requested a report on her case to be prepared by an independent panel, but it seems the mistakes made then are being repeated again and again by DSS.
Is there no accountability in this state? How many more children in this state have to suffer at the hands of their parents — the ones who are supposed to be taking care of them? When they fail, then the state must provide a better home for them. We do not want to read about the death of another child. Please, Lord.
