The Pope And The New York City Mayor

Pope Francis

One comment referred to what the (computer?) models show. Isn't that what all conclusions about "settled science" about global warming derives from? Gore's film like the Pope cites politicians, who are further removed from reality. Problem with computer models is they omit the role of nature adapting to changes in the environment. Nature always does what it needs to do in order to maintain equilibrium. Computer models cannot know what nature will do.

Maunder Minimum May Cause Mini Ice Age

A silent sun: In 2011 this image was captured showing an almost clear sun - which experts say could happen for almost a decade from 2030.

Maybe Al Gore and George Soros can persuade the sun to behave.

[From article]
The Earth could be headed for a 'mini ice age' researchers have warned.
A new study claims to have cracked predicting solar cycles - and says that between 2020 and 2030 solar cycles will cancel each other out.
This, they say, will lead to a phenomenon known as the 'Maunder minimum' - which has previously been known as a mini ice age when it hit between 1646 and 1715, even causing London's River Thames to freeze over.

Two Books About History of Climate Change

These books comport with the comments in Dimitar Sasselov's book The Life of Super-Earths: How the Hunt for Alien Worlds and Artificial Cells Will Revolutionize Life on Our Planet, wherein he observes that climate changes run on a 40,000 year cycle. For those who think there is no history Mr. Gore's superficial claims make sense. In terms of history the alarmists are at best misguided.

[From article]
In "The Third Horseman: Climate Change and the Great Famine of the 14th Century," William Rosen explains how Europe's "most widespread and destructive famine" was the result of "an almost incomprehensibly complicated mixture of climate, commerce, and conflict, four centuries in gestation." Early in that century, 10 percent of the population from the Atlantic to the Urals died, partly because of the effect of climate change on "the incredible amalgam of molecules that comprises a few inches of soil that produces the world's food."
[. . .]
came the severe winters of 1309-1312, when polar bears could walk from Greenland to Iceland on pack ice. In 1315 there was rain for perhaps 155 consecutive days, washing away topsoil. Upwards of half the arable land in much of Europe was gone; cannibalism arrived as parents ate children. Corpses hanging from gallows were devoured.
[. . .]
In "Global Crisis: War, Climate Change and Catastrophe in the Seventeenth Century," Geoffrey Parker, a history professor at Ohio State University, explains how a "fatal synergy" between climatological and political factors produced turmoil from Europe to China.
[. . .]
The flight from abandoned farms to cities produced the "urban graveyard effect," crises of disease, nutrition, water, sanitation, housing, fire, crime, abortion, infanticide, marriages forgone and suicide. Given the ubiquity of desperation, it is not surprising that more wars took place during the 17th-century crisis "than in any other era before the Second World War."
[. . .]
Neither book, however, supports those who believe human behavior is the sovereign or even primary disrupter of climate normality, whatever that might be. With the hands that today's climate Cassandras are not using to pat themselves on the back for their virtuous empiricism, they should pick up such books

Pharrell Williams, Appropriate Successor To Al Gore

Parrell Williams arrives on his private jet

[From article]
CBSNews refers to Pharrell as “the new climate change czar,” but Al Gore needn’t worry at the moment, because global warming hasn’t yet caused a shortage of private jets. It has, unfortunately, created a shortage of self-awareness on the part of jet-set celebs and apparently parents and teachers capable of instructing kids on how to spot hypocritical BS:

Harvard University Heats The World, Part 2

Al Gore (Harvard College. A.B. 1969) Is Angry That Harvard University Wastes Energy

"No challenge  poses a greater threat to future generations than climate change," said Obama in his State of the Union speech Tuesday [January 20, 2015].

Global warming be damned. What would Al Gore think? Or the White House? Harvard announced the highest amount of fund raising among colleges this year, beating out Stanford University for the top spot. Haven't seen who leads in wasting energy, helping to deplete the planet of its natural resources. Perhaps if you have surplus money you do not need to worry about such things. 1,700 to 2,000 of the one percent, who traveled to the World Economic Forum on climate change (Ahem!) in Davos, Switzerland arrived by their own private jet planes.

Thinking locally, Harvard University, in one building alone may have wasted scores of gallons of fuel oil this winter (2014-2015) alone. On a 15 degree Fahrenheit night between two heavy snowstorms in January 2015, this hall window was open as wide as possible.

It was on the fifth floor, drawing heat from all lower levels of the building on a windy cold night. One would think that the highest fund raising university, the most prestigious university in the United States would be able to learn from recent alerts about wasting energy, at least in one building alone.

Alas in this dumbed down nation, even the best and the brightest, the richest university in the nation, has no institutional memory from two weeks ago. Here is a previous entry on this blog about the same building, posted and sent on January 9, 2015, to university administrators and their sustainability devision.

http://enoughroom.blogspot.com/2015/01/harvard-university-heats-up-world.html

Once again those who wander the streets say thank you to Harvard University, especially to  Harvard University Housing experts, and the university sustainability team, for making Cambridge a warmer place when it is freezing cold. Not that the highly competitive and materialistic nature of Harvard University is genuinely warmer to humans. But that is another story for another time and place.

Harvard University campus police, building superintendents and graduate students can earn academic and economic credit, for harassing a 70-year-old man that they say is "crazy." What more do you need to know about Harvard University? No wonder Harvard is worshipped globally. It appears the university faculty teaches how to prey on vulnerable humans, how to exploit them. Is that why they get so much money, to encourage more of that behavior while preaching morality.

Wasting energy is a minor offense. But then Harvard University affiliates have superior standards and greater moral knowledge than ordinary humans. Harassing a vulnerable elder citizen and wasting energy has a higher meaning and effect, than ordinary civilians, unaffiliated with Harvard University, can understand. Campus police need to practice harassing elder citizens. It is what they will have to do when there are too many old people.

One of the topics listed on the university sustainability site is
http://green.harvard.edu/topics/energy-emissions

"Energy & Emissions Focused on reducing building energy use, improving the efficiency of our energy supply, and investing in renewable energy."

That sounds like what they do. Oh wait!
In case any logicians are reading this post, who may ask, "Why didn't you simply close the window?" Here is the answer. The window that is open is above the one you can see in this image. It is on the stairway. One must be at least 12 feet tall to reach the window to close it. I am not even six feet tall.

Climate Protesters Left Lots of Trash on Streets of New York

Thousands participate in "The People’s Climate March" in New York City.
Photo: Zuma Press
Monsignor Al Gore of The Church Of Global Climate Fantasy was seen leaving the march in his SUV. No carbon footprint reduction for him.

[From article]
David Kreutzer, a research fellow at the conservative think tank Heritage Foundation, shared a similar photo of the marchers’ refuse trashing the city’s streets.
“Somehow this doesn’t seem too green 2me,” Kreutzer tweeted.
He and other critics of the People’s Climate March called the protesters hypocrites for wasting paper and burning fossil fuel in getting to the big event.
“The hypocrisy varies from person to person,” economist Kreutzer, 61, told The Post. “The ones that fly in on private jets are the most hypocritical.”
He was referring to celebrity A-listers who joined Sunday’s march.

Settled Science Useful Idiots Censor Scrutiny of Science

AlGore's movie quoted numerous scientists, friends, but none of them appeared. No astronomer is quoted. In his book The Life of Super-Earths, Harvard University astronomer, Dimitar Sasselov explains that weather patterns go in 40,000 year cycles. Geologists show periods of heating and cooling weather changes to the environment of the planet over billions of years. With minimal ranges using computer models, useful idiot, elitist, moralist, scientists demand they know what others fear to assert.

See Sasselov's 22 minute video here
http://youtu.be/F8bM8K7W_R8

[From article]
According to their dogma, it’s blasphemous to oppose giving unaccountable bureaucrats (in the EPA or internationally) unprecedented power to centrally plan and control economic life without even a vote of Congress.
That’s because the faithful overlook the stunning failure of their doomsday-predicting models to forecast warming’s nearly 18-year pause (confirmed by the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) or Al Gore’s 2007 prediction that polar bears’ Arctic habitat would be ice-free by 2013.
[. . .]
Today, skepticism is synonymous with greed and immorality to church adherents who bask in the influence and profits they derive from sermonizing and policy advocacy. Yet, they ignore the “inconvenient truth” that their policies adversely impact the lifestyles of the budget conscience.
So, who are the heretics?
Are they alarmists intent on circumventing scientific inquiry and the free and open debate on which national consensus in a pluralistic democracy depends, or skeptics “not afraid to follow truth wherever it may lead,” as Thomas Jefferson encouraged?
“It is error alone which needs the support of government,” Jefferson believed, because “truth can stand by itself.”
In his farewell address, noteworthy for military-industrial-complex warnings, President Dwight Eisenhower articulated the modern version of Jefferson’s concern. “A government contract becomes virtually a substitute for intellectual curiosity,” he said, and “the prospect of domination of the nation’s scholars by federal employment, project allocations, and the power of money is ever present — and is gravely to be regarded.”

Extremist Leftists Intolerant of Scientific Evidence

[From article]
Genghis Khan owes his place in history to a sudden shift in the Asiatic climate from the cold, arid period that immediately preceded his ascent as leader of the Mongol empire, to the warmer, wetter weather that allowed his horsemen to expand out from Central Asia.
Scientists studying ancient Siberia pine trees in central Mongolia that date back nearly 2,000 years believe that Khan’s rise to power coincided precisely with a period of unusually heavy rainfall over a couple of decades which allowed the arid grasslands of the Asian Steppe to flourish.

Global warming in the 12th Century helped Genghis Khan conquer Asia. But now it is cold again. Al Gore a master propagandist.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/how-climate-change-helped-genghis-khan-scientists-believe-a-sudden-period-of-warmer-weather-allowed-the-mongols-to-invade-with-such-success-9182580.html

If anyone opposes science it is Al Gore and his supporters. Science is always open to scrutiny which extremist leftists do not tolerate. According to Harvard University's Astronomy Professor Dimitar Sasselov, the meteorological changes are based on 40,000 year cycles. But for politicians today is all that matters.

What you say is accurate. But unfortunately you make up facts, which is not how it works. You say, "every scientific organization with standing in physical science all over the world supports the mainstream theory of radiative balance and the greenhouse effect and its role in the modern warming trend." I can say they approve the opposite without evidence, just as you do. If Al Gore's "friends" all agreed with him, why did they not appear in his film? Why should anyone believe a man who earned $100 million promoting his junk science. Problem with extremist leftists promoting junk science and speaking for everyone is that they do not tolerate any dissent. It is their way or the mental hospital, Stalin's way. All of science is based on faith, i.e., the Uniformity of Nature Principle. That includes unfounded belief that gravity will continue working as it does now. That water will always boil at 100 C. And thousands of other elements of nature that are often changing. For you what you believe is absolute and never changing. It is that kind of belief that causes catastrophes. Prof. Sasselov puts the issue of global warming in perspective of the history of the universe, not the lifespan of a greedy politician, and his useful idiots.

Cuoma and Gore Mislead Civilians

Tuesday October 30, 2012 NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo, "for the first time
said he believes the increase in 'extreme weather situations' in
recent years is tied to climate change."

http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/dailypolitics/2012/10/hurricane-sandy-death-toll-in-ny-at-26-gov-cuomo-blames-climate-change-for-inc

Al Gore supports this interpretation. Why do politicians insist on
talking about subjects about which they have little knowledge? In Al
Gore's case we know he does it for money. Sandy is a Category One
hurricane, the lowest category. The reason for its extreme effects is
that it met up with a weather system coming for the opposite
direction. Together the two storms created a giant storm with its
extreme flooding and rain and snow. Two days later it is still
spinning over the eastern half of the US from  west of Chicago to east
of New York City over the ocean. It is not the extreme single event
but the unusual occurrence of the event combining two weather systems.

Gore Major League Hypocrtite

[From article]
"Gore has long lived by the hypocrite's mantra: "Do what I demand, not what I do." After his Tennessee mansion was revealed to drink up to 20 times the energy of an average house, Gore added solar panels. Last year, ahead of his split with wife Tipper, Gore bought a massive spread in fabulous Montecito, Calif., near Oprah Winfrey and Michael Douglas.
Gore, who's fathered four kids, was adamant that women save the planet by tying their tubes, or worse. "To put out less of this pollution, to stabilize the population." Who was he talking to?"

Obama, Gore and Dishonesty

"We have no idea what Obama's intellectual aptitude is, and to claim that he is a 'certified intellectual' is absurd.

This is a man who certainly did not deserve to be elected president of the United States, having accomplished little in his first 46 years of life, other than creating a faux persona and developing strong oratory skills. He too is unable to think on his feet and without a teleprompter; he too sounds like a buffoon as he claims to have visited all 57 of the United States and that he understands the Austrian language."

Social Security Over the Years
[Received from GLF]

Now don't be mad at old people, (or me) just remember who did this......

Franklin Delano. Roosevelt
32nd. President, Democrat
Terms of Office March 4, 1933, to April 12, 1945

Our Social Security

Franklin Delano. Roosevelt (Terms of Office March 4, 1933, to April 12, 1945), a Democrat, introduced Social Security (FICA) Program. He Promised:

1.) That participation in the Program would be Completely voluntary,

2.) That the participants would only have to pay 1% of the first $1,400 of their annual Incomes into the Program,

3.) That the money the participants elected to put Into the Program would be deductible from Their income for tax purposes each year,

4.) That the money the participants put into the Independent 'Trust Fund' rather than into the General operating fund, and therefore, would Only be used to fund the Social Security Retirement Program, and no other Government program, and

5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed as income.

Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are now receiving a Social Security check every month -- and then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of the money we paid to the Federal government to 'Put Away' -- you may be interested in the following:

---THEN---

Dwight David Eisenhower
34th. President, Republican,
Term Of Office: January 20, 1953 to January 20, 1961

If I recall correctly, 1958 is the first year that Congress, not President Eisenhower, voted to remove funds from Social Security and put it into the General Fund for Congress to spend.

If I recall correctly, it was a Democratically controlledCongress.

From what I understand, Congress' logic at that time was that there was so much money in Social Security Fund that it would never run out / be used up for the purpose it was intended / set aside for.

---WORSE STILL---

Lyndon Baines Johnson 36th. President,Democrat
Term Of Office: November 22, 1963 to January 20, 1969

Question: Which Political Party took Social Security from the Independent 'Trust Fund' and put it into theGeneral Fund so that Congress could spend it?

Answer: It was Lyndon B. Johnson (Democrat, Term of Office: November 22,1963 to January 20, 1969) and the Democratically controlled House and Senate.

Question: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax Deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?
Answer: The Democratic Party.

William Jefferson Clinton
(Bill Clinton)
42nd. President
Democrat Term of Office: January 20, 1993 to January 20, 2001

Albert Arnold Gore, Jr.
(Al Gore)
45th. Vice President
Democrat Term of Office: January 20, 1993 to January 20, 2001

Question: Which Political Party started taxing Social Security annuities?

Answer: The Democratic Party, with Albert Arnold Gore, Jr. (Al Gore) [Vice President Term of Office: January 10, 1993 to January 20, 2001] casting the 'tie- breaking' deciding vote as President of the Senate, while he was Vice President of the USA ........

---THE STRAW THAT BROKE THE CAMEL'S BACK!!---

James Earl Carter, Jr
(Jimmy Carter)
39th President, Democrat
Term of Office: January 20, 1977 to January 20, 1981

Question: Which Political Party decided to start giving Annuitypayments to immigrants?

AND MY FAVORITE ANSWER:

That's right! JAMES EARL CARTER, JR. JIMMY CARTER) (DEMOCRAT, TERM OF OFFICE: JANUARY 20, 1977 TO JANUARY 20, 1981 AND THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY.

IMMIGRANTS MOVED INTO THIS COUNTRY AND AT AGE 65, BEGAN TO RECEIVE SOCIAL SECURITY PAYMENTS:

THE DEMOCRATIC PARTYGAVE THESE PAYMENTS TO THEM…..EVEN THOUGH THEY NEVER PAID A DIME INTO IT!

Then, after violating the original contract (FICA), the Democrats turn around and tell you that the Republicans want to take your Social Security away!

And the worst part about it is, uninformed citizens believe it!

Nineteen Eighties

Do You Remember 1987.....

Do you remember when the senators were giving Ollie North such a bad time? This brings it all into perspective doesn't it?

Do you remember 1987.......

Thought you might be interested in this forgotten bit of information.........

It was 1987! At a lecture the other day they were playing an old news video of
Lt.Col. Oliver North testifying at the Iran-Contra hearings during the Reagan
Administration.

There was Ollie in front of God and country getting the third degree, but what he said was stunning!

He was being drilled by a senator; 'Did you not recently spend close to $60,000 for a home security system?'

Ollie replied, 'Yes, I did, Sir.'

The senator continued, trying to get a laugh out of the audience, 'Isn't that just a little excessive?'

'No, sir,' continued Ollie.

'No? And why not?' the senator asked.

'Because the lives of my family and I were threatened, sir.'

'Threatened? By whom?' the senator questioned.

'By a terrorist, sir' Ollie answered.

'Terrorist? What terrorist could possibly scare you that much?'

'His name is Osama bin Laden, sir' Ollie replied.

At this point the senator tried to repeat the name, but couldn't pronounce it, which most people back then probably couldn't. A couple of people laughed at the attempt.. Then the senator continued. Why are you so afraid of this man?' the senator asked.

'Because, sir, he is the most evil person alive that I know of', Ollie answered.

'And what do you recommend we do about him?' asked the senator.

'Well, sir, if it was up to me, I would recommend that an assassin team be formed to
eliminate him and his men from the face of the earth.'

The senator disagreed with this approach, and that was all that was shown of the clip.

By the way, that senator was Al Gore! (Thank you Al, you are such an embarrassment
to Tennessee !!)

Also: Terrorist pilot Mohammad Atta blew up a bus in Israel in 1986. The Israelis captured, tried and imprisoned him.. As part of the Oslo agreement with the Palestinians in 1993, Israel had to agree to release so-called 'political prisoners.'

However, the Israelis would not release any with blood on their hands, The American President at the time, Bill Clinton, and his Secretary of State, Warren Christopher, 'insisted' that all prisoners be released.

Thus Mohammad Atta was freed and eventually thanked us by flying an airplane into Tower One of the World Trade Center. This was reported by many of the American TV networks at the time that the terrorists were first identified.
It was censored in the US from all later reports.

In memory of all those who perished this morning; the passengers and the pilots on the
United Air and AA flights, the workers in the World Trade Center and the
Pentagon, and all the innocent bystanders.

Where's The Outrage?

Where's The Outrage?

This letter was sent to the Wall Street Journal on August 8, 2008 by Alisa Wilson, Ph.D. Of Beverly Hills, CA. in response to the Wall Street Journal article titled "Where's The Outrage?" that appeared July 31,2008.

Really. I can tell you where the outrage is. The outrage is here, in this middle-aged, well-educated, upper-middle class woman. The outrage is here, but I have no representation, no voice. The outrage is here, but no one is listening for who am I?

I am not a billionaire like George Soros that can fund an entire political movement. I am not a celebrity like Barbra Streisand that can garner the attention of the press to promote political candidates. I am not a film maker like Michael Moore or Al Gore that can deliver misleading movies to the public.

The outrage is here, but unlike those with money or power, I don't know how to reach those who feel similarly in order to effect change. Why am I outraged? I am outraged that my country, the United States of America , is in a state of moral and ethical decline. There is no right or wrong anymore, just what's fair.

Is it fair that millions of Americans who overreached and borrowed more than they could afford are now being bailed out by the government and lending institutions to stave off foreclosure? Why shouldn't these people be made to pay the consequences for their poor judgment?

When my husband and I purchased our home, we were careful to purchase only what we could afford. Believe me, there are much larger, much nicer homes that I would have loved to have purchased. But, taking responsibility for my behavior and my life, I went with the house that we could afford, not the house that we could not afford. The notion of personal responsibility has all but died in our country.

I am outraged, that the country that welcomed my mother as an immigrant from Hitler's Nazi Germany and required that she and her family learn English now allows itself to be overrun with illegal immigrants and worse, caters to those illegal immigrants.

I am outraged that my hard-earned taxes help support those here illegally. That the Los Angeles Public School District is in such disarray that I felt it incumbent to send my child to private school, that every time I go to the ATM, I see "do you want to continue in English or Spanish?", that every time I call the bank, the phone company , or similar business, I hear "press 1 for English or press 2 for Spanish". WHY? This is America , our common language is English and attempts to promote a bi- or multi-lingual society are sure to fail and to marginalize those who cannot communicate in English.

I am outraged at our country's weakness in the face of new threats on American traditions from Muslims. Just this week, Tyson's Food negotiated with its union to permit Muslims to have Eid-al-Fitr as a holiday instead of Labor Day. What am I missing? Yes, there is a large Somali Muslim population working at the Tyson's plant in Tennessee. Tennessee, last I checked, is still part of the United States . If Muslims want to live and work here they should be required to live and work by our American Laws and not impose their will on our long history.

In the same week, Random House announced that they had indefinitely delayed the publication of The Jewel of Medina, by Sherry Jones, a book about the life of Mohammed's wife, Aisha due to fear of retribution and violence by Muslims. When did we become a nation ruled by fear of what other immigrant groups want? It makes me so sad to see large corporations cave rather than stand proudly on the principles that built this country.

I am outraged because appeasement has never worked as a political policy, yet appeasing Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is exactly what we are trying to do. An excellent article, also published recently in the Wall Street Journal, went through over 20 years of history and why talking with Iran has been and will continue to be ineffective. Yet talk, with a madman no less, we continue to do. Have we so lost our moral compass and its ability to detect evil that we will not go in and destroy Iran 's nuclear program? Would we rather wait for another Holocaust for the Jews - one which they would be unlikely to survive? When does it end?

As if the battle for good and evil isn't enough, now come the Environmentalists who are so afraid of global warming that they want to put a Bag tax on grocery bags in California; to eliminate Mylar balloons; to establish something as insidious as the recycle police in San Francisco. I do my share for the environment: I recycle, I use water wisely, I installed an energy efficient air conditioning unit. But when and where does the lunacy stop? Ahmadinejad wants to wipe Israel off the map, the California economy is being overrun by illegal immigrants, and the United States of America no longer knows right from wrong, good from evil.. So what does California do? Tax grocery bags.

So, America , although I can tell you where the outrage is, this one middle-aged, well-educated, upper middle class woman is powerless to do anything about it. I don't even feel like my vote counts because I am so outnumbered by those who disagree with me.

Alisa Wilson, Ph.D. Beverly Hills , California
