France Shuts Three Mosques After Seizing 300 Weapons

EU security officials suspect some mosques are being used as a breeding for terrorist cells.

Police in France also arrested the owner of a revolver found during Wednesday's raid, France's Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said.
Security officials found jihadist documents at the mosque where yesterday's raids took place.
They have placed nine people under house arrest. Another 22 have been banned from leaving the country Mr Cazeneuve said.
France has been under a state of emergency since 130 people were killed in a series of terror attacks in Paris on November 13. Since then, some 2,235 homes and buildings have been raided, 232 people taken into custody, and 334 weapons confiscated.
Cazeneuve said the number of weapons apprehended so far is staggering.
He said: "In 15 days we have seized one-third of the quantity of war-grade weapons that are normally seized in a year."
This latest raid comes as authorities in a number of European countries crackdown on mosques suspected of being a breeding ground for extremists cells operating in the continent.
This week German authorities expressed concern refugees might be susceptible to radicalisation by Muslim extremists, who are using religion as an excuse to get closer to the new arrivals from Syria and other parts of the Middle East.
Officials said they have encountered at least 100 cases in which extremists have tried to establish contact with refugees. Those fleeing war and hunger in Syria and other parts of the Middle East, are allegedly being lured by rides, food, and shelter, as well as help with translation and traditional Muslim clothing.

A former Army reservist out on bail on a child rape charge broke into a Massachusetts armory last weekend and stole 16 guns, the FBI said Thursday, and he got caught because he was wearing a GPS monitoring bracelet.
James Walker Morales, 34, of Cambridge, was arrested Wednesday on Long Island, New York. He's scheduled to make an appearance in federal court on Friday in Brooklyn, according to the FBI.
Six M4 assault rifles and 10 Sig Sauer M11 handguns were stolen from the Lincoln Stoddard Army Reserve Center in Worcester last weekend. Surveillance video from a nearby business shows a man making several trips between the reserve center and a vehicle parked nearby over a six-hour period Saturday night into Sunday morning. On several occasions, he can be seen carrying duffel bags.

Morales gained access to the facility through a kitchen window, and then broke into the gun vault by climbing on top of it and using a cutting tool and pry bar to get through several layers of metal and wood, the FBI affidavit says.
The electronic monitoring bracelet placed Morales "directly inside" the facility, and blood left at the scene matched his DNA, the FBI said. He cut off the bracelet Monday but was tracked to New York through his cellphones, authorities said.
Morales had last been seen at the Worcester facility last Thursday to obtain copies of his discharge papers. Federal authorities described him as a former Army reservist but did not provide any additional information on his service and did not say whether the guns had been recovered.
In May, Morales was charged with aggravated rape of a child and indecent assault and battery on a person under the age of 14,

RI Police Welfare Check Leads To Arrest For Weapons Poissession

Cops were initially called to check on L’esperance Friday night after his wife found him in their basement and feared he had tried to kill himself. L’esperance fought with the officers, according to a police report. His wife told police L’esperance had pushed her, and he was charged with domestic assault and battery, assaulting a police officer, intimidating a witness, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
His wife took out a restraining order against her husband, which required him to surrender all his guns, and he told police he had just one shotgun at a relative’s house in Rhode Island. But his wife said there was a handgun at the Medway house, which prompted the search. L’esperance was tracked to a Rhode Island hospital and arrested by the Rhode Island State Police. He’s now facing charges of violating a restraining order and various gun and explosives charges.

A White House staffer was arrested and placed on unpaid leave after allegedly grabbing her boyfriend's gun and shooting at him during a tense argument, police said Monday.
Barvetta Singletary, 37 - a special assistant to the President and the House legislative affairs liaison - was arrested on Friday after the alleged incident.
She reportedly confronted her boyfriend, a Capitol Hill police officer, about another woman he was seeing before grabbing his two cellphones and his .40 caliber Glock 23 service weapon, NBC reported.
When the officer refused to give Singletary his cellphone passwords, she took the gun and pointed it at him, saying: 'You taught me how to use this. Don't think I won't use it,' according to the arrest warrant.
Police said she pointed the duty weapon in his direction and fired one round.
The incident unfolded on Friday when Singletary summoned her boyfriend, who has not been identified, via text, asking him to come to her home in Upper Marlboro, Maryland for sex, according to charging documents.
Afterwards Singletary asked her boyfriend about another woman he was dating, CNN reports.
She then asked him to step outside and they both went to his car, investigators said.
While inside the car, she asked to see his two cellphones. When he refused, she grabbed them and his duty weapon out of a bag and ran back inside her home as he followed, according to the charging documents.
She fired one round and the officer fled her house and called police. Singletary was arrested without incident, authorities said.

U.S. weapons intended for Iraq’s beleaguered military are winding up in the possession of the country’s Shiite militias, according to U.S. lawmakers and senior officials in the Barack Obama administration. These sources say that the Baghdad government, which was granted $1.2 billion in training and equipment aid in the omnibus spending bill passed last month, is turning hardware over to Shiite militias that are heavily influenced by Iran and have been guilty of gross human-rights violations.
One senior administration official told us that the U.S. government is aware of this, but is caught in a dilemma. The flawed Iraqi security forces are unable to fight Islamic State without the aid of the militias, who are often trained and sometimes commanded by officers from Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps. And yet, if the U.S. stopped sending arms to the Iraqi military, things would get even worse, with IS overrunning more of the country and committing human-rights horrors on a broader scale. The risk of not aiding them was greater than the risk of aiding them, the official said, adding that this didn't mean the administration was unconcerned about the risks involved.

Senator John McCain, the new chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, traveled to Baghdad last week and met with senior Americans and Iraqis, including Abadi. He told us that officials from both countries informed him that the Iraqi government was handing over American weapons to Shiite militias connected to Iran.

U.S. weapons aren't supposed to be transferred to the Shiite militias, which not only have a long track record of human-rights violations, but of killing U.S. forces during America’s occupation of Iraq. More broadly, these militias stand accused of ongoing ethnic cleansing in Sunni areas, further harming the chances for the political reconciliation that will be needed to achieve stability in Iraq going forward.

At a Conference on Atomic Energy Control, Jacob Viner, a University of Chicago economist, told the conference in 1945 that “the atomic bomb was the cheapest way yet devised of killing people.” Developing a nuclear weapon certainly isn't inexpensive, but it's much cheaper than producing the amount of conventional weapons that would cause equivalent damage. And from a manpower perspective, nuclear weapons are much cheaper. One completely untrained suicide bomber can deliver it.

It appears as if fearless leader Barack Hussein Obama, primarily through his feckless puppet Secretary of State John Kerry, is trying to allow Iran to be able to wage war "on the cheap."

Why do we (America) even negotiate? Just tell Iran that its entire nuclear capability must be dismantled by a certain date, and if it's not, we will dismantle it. If Iran refuses, just do it! Remove Iran's capability to wage war "on the cheap" before it's developed. Let's then see if Iran can then produce enough conventional materiel to wage a war. If Iran resorts to terrorism, we can and should inflict pain on that country with conventional weapons until it cries "uncle," is no longer capable of harming us.

The suspect first went into Booth Memorial Hospital complaining of chest pains and shortness of breath around 2:30 a.m, said Chief of Patrol James O’Neill.
The man was treated and released, only to return a short while later, when he menaced staff with a utility knife and demanded syringes, O’Neill said.
Cops were called and a sergeant walked up to the suspect, identified as Joseph Priolo, officials said.
Priolo turned away from the sergeant before being confronted by two uniformed officers, who were coming down a hill toward him, the patrol chief added.
“He brandished the utility knife, and one of the two officers fired twice,” O’Neill explained.

It must be interpreted by professionals; you can’t believe what you see. We’ll form a task force and get back to you . . . after you’re no longer interested, or angry.

Of the four worst American murderers, Gary Ridgway (71+ victims), Andrew Philip Kehoe (44 victims), Ted Bundy (36+ victims), and John Wayne Gacy (34+ victims), none of them used guns to kill. Ridgway and Gacy strangled their victims. Bundy strangled, bludgeoned, and drowned his victims. Kehoe used bombs to kill his victims -- mostly school children ages 7-12.

Instead of guns, the most common elements of the worst among us are broken homes and sexual deviancy. One reason liberals can’t stand to hear such information is that it defies a government solution. The left would much rather rant against firearms and seek legislation to restrict them.
