Interesting article yet lacking in specifics. Professor Sarna recognizes the role of politicians in creating a hateful atmosphere. Campaigning for president former U.S. Senator, First Lady, and Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton called Republican candidate Donald Trump, crazy and dangerous. That is the pervasive attitude promoted by police, lawyers, courts, and politicians toward persons with disabilities. It is seldom recognized as hateful not even by journalists, who join in the hate campaign against disabled persons. Not distinguishing between lawful and unlawful discrimination in Massachusetts, the Attorney General indicates her less than thoughtful idea on the issue. Though she is quick to note any slight toward homosexuals and their powerful lobbyists. The AG seldom notices or expresses any concern about institutionalized bigotry toward persons with disabilities. Then there is the senior U.S. Senator from Massachusetts who was a professor of law at Harvard Law School. Being relentlessly humiliated for her identity by conservative journalists she was unable refrain from employing personal attacks against Donald Trump. Is she a role model indicating her approval of hatred toward persons with who she disagrees?

Reports of anti-Semitic incidents are soaring this year across New England, an increase fueled by vandalism, harassment, and other acts at schools and colleges, according to statistics released Wednesday by the Anti-Defamation League.
According to the ADL, there have already been 56 anti-Semitic acts in the region this year, nearly as many as for all of 2015, when 61 were reported.
The data alarmed Jewish clergy and academics, who said the incidents suggest a rising level of intolerance that may feed on the rhetoric from the contentious political season.
“Clearly, people are acting out on some long-held stereotypes and hatred toward Jews, and it’s designed to send a message of intimidation,” said Robert Trestan, director of the New England Regional Office of the ADL. “We’re increasingly living in an environment where incivility is becoming common and accepted practice.”

Brandeis professor Jonathan Sarna said he believes a combination of social media, anti-Israel sentiment, and rhetoric from politicians has led to a sense of public acceptance of some anti-Semitism.
“There is a sense today that this kind of hatred is more acceptable and that the public square has become coarser than it had been in the past, and indeed, one senses that even in presidential politics that there is often a relationship,” Sarna said.
“We look to a candidate as role models. When they employ very coarse speech, and people take notice, it’s not a surprise that other folks do the same thing.’’

Among the schools scheduled to take part are all four middle schools in Newton. At Newton’s F.A. Day Middle School, three anti-Semitic incidents were reported this academic year, including graffiti reading “Burn the Jews” scrawled in a boy’s bathroom.
The incidents prompted Newton officials to hold a public meeting, which in itself became a divisive event.
Newton Mayor Setti Warren said Wednesday that he was not surprised to hear about the uptick in anti-Semitic incidents.

Harvard Law School emeritus professor Alan Dershowitz said it was hard to measure the current state of anti-Semitism in statistics since many incidents go unreported.
He said he receives around 50 anti-Semitic e-mails, letters, and phone calls each year but does not report them to law enforcement.

In Dayton, a young white woman was at getting a post-work snack at a convenience store when a well-mannered black man asked her for a ride. Soon there were four black people in her car. They robbed and beat her.

In Austin, a young white man invited his new black neighbor over to his house to play some music. The neighbor killed him.
Outside of Chicago, a black man recently out of prison moved into a house owned by a local church. It’s all the rage now: Re-entry. He kidnapped a woman, robbed her, beat her, and set her on fire. She’s alive, if you want to call it that.
In Takoma, Maryland, a group of black people ransacked a 7-11 and beat the clerks because they were not permitted to buy cigarettes with food stamps. This is a carbon copy of an incident in Oakland a month ago, except the black person was upset he could not buy cat food with food stamps.

In Atlanta, police arrested a black woman for using YouTube to urge black people to kill police and white people.

The same woman who said of the hate-the-rich Occupy Wall Street movement, “I created much of the intellectual foundation for what they do. I support what they do,” is not only wealthy beyond the dreams of most Americans but is part of the very 1% that the Occupy Movement venomously vilifies.
How rich is Warren?
She is worth between $3.7 million and $10 million, leaving out her three-story Victorian home in Cambridge, Mass., worth 1.9 million.
Her average net worth is $8.75 million.
Most of her wealth is invested with TIAA-CREF; she and her husband each have $1 million in the TIAA-CREF Traditional fund, which guarantees your principal will never be affected, you are guaranteed a minimum interest rate, and your income stream will never die.
She received an advance of $525,000 to write her book A Fighting Chance.
She and her husband earned $981,000 in 2009 and $955,000 in 2010.
She was paid $430,000 as a Harvard professor in 2010 and part of 2011.
This is the same Warren who once told MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell, “I realize there are some wealthy individuals – I’m not one of them, but some wealthy individuals who have a lot of stock portfolios.” She forgot that she owned between $100,001 and $250,000 of IBM stock, of course. Her spokesman Kyle Sullivan later lamely claimed, “Elizabeth was making the point that, unlike many members of Congress, she does not have a broad portfolio of stocks in individual companies. If elected, she’ll get rid of the one stock she does own.”
This is the same woman who snapped in September 2011, “There is nobody in this country who got rich on his own. Nobody.”
This is the same woman who said while supporting Senator Mark Udall, “Republicans believe this country should work for those who are rich, those who are powerful, those who can hire armies of lobbyists and lawyers.”

U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren suggested today Congress may be in part to blame for the Ebola crisis, noting the country’s medical research funding has been slashed by nearly $2 billion.
“I want to remind everyone, Ebola is not new,” Warren, who serves on the Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, said in a response to a question about whether government is doing enough to keep the West African killer virus at bay.
“We knew about this many years ago and started funding research on it. And then, with all the spending cutbacks and all the pressure on the National Institute of Health, much of that research has been shelved. So now, we’re out spending millions, billions of dollars in emergency response. People have lost their lives, we’re all very worried, instead of spending the money in advance to do more of the research to avoid this kind of problem,” said Warren.

Behind both the Warren bill and the executive order the president signed earlier this week is the same philosophy that created a mountain of student debt that is $1 trillion and climbing.
This is a federal aid regime that encourages ever-more student borrowing, which in turn fuels university spending that then drives up tuition faster than general inflation.
If President Obama and Sen. Warren were right, the explosion in federal aid over the past decades would have made college more affordable. The reality is otherwise.

Most of America’s college grads are in a deep hole because of money they borrowed and invested in their educations. Outstanding student loans now total more than $1.2 trillion. One borrower out of seven defaults on student loans within three years of beginning payments.
This isn’t just a burden on graduates and their families, it’s a drag on the economy as a whole. Young people saddled with debt don’t buy furniture or cars. They linger in their parents’ homes rather than start families and households of their own. Their inability to spend is one of the factors that has kept the economic recovery from gaining momentum.

While it might be an easier pill for Republicans to swallow if the student loan bill’s costs were offset by a provision that was less a partisan lightning rod than a tax hike, Warren defends it. Given the state of the economy, she argues, which is a more worthy investment: college education for America’s young adults, or tax loopholes for its wealthiest earners?

Clearly 215 miles from New York City there is no concern for logic or for wasting taxpayer funds. The Cambridge Massachusetts weakly paper appears to be a cheerleader for the Spending Other People's Money Society.

In addition to the misadventures mentioned herein, Harvard Law School enjoys a tax exemption from city property taxes. If law professors use their offices for "for profit" activities that negates the tax exemption. Though I've spoken publicly about this several times before the Cambridge MA City Council there was no effort to end any such abuses by law professors or others using tax exempt property for profit-making activities. It is one of many unlawful activities found on the Harvard University campus. Their faculty and students become accustomed to violating local, state and US laws with no penalties. Thus Mr. Obama and Mr. Holder with a little help from their friends.

In this country people get the government they deserve. Aside from the rhetoric which appears in this article there is a one-party government in  Massachusetts. Criminal justice mechanisms are run by one-party appointees. For 20 years the Boston office of the FBI murdered civilians who went to the FBI to report criminal acts by the Bulger crime family. Mr. Bulger now 83 still awaits trial for 19 homicides. One of the hitmen Mr. John Martarano admitted to 20 murders and served about 7 months for each murder. He got $20,000 in taxpayer funds to restart his life after prison. Boston FBI framed four white men for murder. Two died in prison. Two were released after 30 years and were awarded $110 million by a US court. These facts were exposed by citizens not government or politicians who remain silent about the abuses to this day. That you asked what I talk about shows how sad the politicians and the voters are today. Under current laws the President can order the assassination of American citizens without due process. Too busy with entertainment to watch the criminals who run the government?

Without due process under this legal precedent, which Obama seems to enjoy he can kill a citizen who is accused of being a terrorist, without Notice, without evidence admitted in a court of law, without the Right to Defend oneself, and without being found guilty under law, and sentenced to death by the trier of fact. Citizens have a Right to Appeal a court decision. Under this doctrine there is no appeal before or after the fact of the killing. You say there is no question. How does your lack of a question become Due Process? The only question that Holder refused to answer was if the President could kill a citizen within the United States. Continuing the reckless disregard Obama shows toward the US Constitution it is likely he will increase the number of citizens killed in this manner, just as the Boston FBI justified killing Italian Americans to free up the Boston rackets for Irish American gangsters. Obama expressed repeatedly his lack of respect for the Constitution and the laws of the United States. Without concern with any elections he can, as he promised Medvedev, "be more flexible" than he was with respect to those laws and any other civilized restraints before the election. Mr. Obama indicates he is a very dangerous person.

Boston Phoenix Reporting is Uniquely Objective

David Bernstein's essays are a sight for sore eyes: an objective
discussion of candidates for election in Massachusetts. Voters are
disgusted with the one-sided extremism of the uniformly right-wing,
Tea Party newspapers, radio stations, television stations and myopic
racist, homophobic internet news sites and academic panel discussions
in the Commonwealth. None of them report the compassion and wisdom of
Democratic Party candidates. In the wilderness there's David Bernstein
who points out what few voters recognize, Scott Brown is not a woman.
There are more women than men in the Commonwealth. It is a no brainer
(Really?) that women are victims and a minority. Women need special
treatment by men so that they can regain their historical position
controlling the mechanisms of power. Women will wisely replace the old
boys network with a new and improved old girls network. Women will win
this Senate election in order to restore honor to the Edward M.
Kennedy Traditional US Senate seat. If women vote only for women they
will take control of the state legislature, city councils, mayors
offices, the nine congressional seats and both US Senate seats. Men
cannot stop this from happening. We're women. We're here. Get used to
it! (Gasp!)

Bernstein reminds Massachusetts voters that Todd Akin and Scott
Brown are Xerox copies of each other. The issues in Massachusetts are
exactly the same ones in . . . what is the state where Akin runs?
Well, the issues are the same. Take Bernstein's word for it. And Akin
and Brown are both loser men. Neither of them are (looser?) women. But
Bernstein reveals that Elizabeth Warren is a women and she will get
the votes of women as long as they are aware of how much Scott Brown
hates women. Bernstein explains how deeply Brown hates women.
Bernstein did not reveal Scott Brown's answer when he asked if he
still beats his wife. But we all know the answer.

Statistics provided by Bernstein show that only two percent of
Americans will be represented by Republican women Senators. But 40
percent of Americans will have a Democratic woman US Senator.
Bernstein says voters (men and women) should vote for more Democrats
to increase the number of people represented by women Democrats. That
makes sense. (It does?)

Mr. Bernstein reports that Washington Republicans [. . .] "embody
female exclusion." Is that a disease that needs taxpayer research
funding? In Massachusetts Scott Brown encourages "embodying female
exclusion." It is easy to show how much Brown hates women. For more
objective facts Bernstein quotes the Democratic Party Chairman in
Massachusetts, who knows Scott Brown. The Chairman says, "Scott Brown
votes the other way." Icing this cake of reason is the fact that
Elizabeth Warren provides enough femininity "to taint Brown by
association." So there. Ipso facto presto chango. Brown hates women.

Bernsetin emphasizes the most important consideration for all voters.
When they enter the voting booth, the one thing all voters ask
themselves is: "Which of these candidates are more likely to be a
woman?"

In addition to money, Harvard affiliates provide essays, letters, and articles in local, regional and state wide media venues. Editors of those venues prefer not to publish any critical pieces about the prominent Harvard Law School Professor. Only the Boston Herald and some radio talk show hosts have the courage to publish such expression. The extreme intolerance of political advocacy extends to the highest levels of media venues. Forked Tongue Harvard Professor Politicians

The lack of good faith of politicians is so obvious it is clear that they lack the slightest bit of shame. They are willing to say anything at the moment to support whatever it they are promoting at the time. If supporting enforcing laws was the priority of this Harvard Law School Professor, why does Harvard's real estate division enter the premises of their residents without permission contrary to state law? Landlords are permitted to enter a tenant's premises in an emergency to make emergency repairs or to save life. But Harvard just tells residents that it is not necessary for them to be present when the landlord inspects their premises, or part thereof. One of many instances of non compliance with laws by the land speculators who pay Warren's salary. Harvard campus cops promote the misguided notion that they have exclusive jurisdiction on Harvard property. Harvard campus cops are not allowed to enforce city ordinances, but they do not want Harvard affiliates to call city police. City dispatchers divert calls to Harvard campus cops especially when they know that Harvard cops do not have jurisdiction. City police refuse to enforce a state felony firearms statute. They deny that it applies to illegal firearms used by police and crime families, described in the statute. The city and Harvard do not comply (Warren's word) with state and US laws on providing access to their buildings as required by laws existing since 1973. So it shows that only when it helps their election, as Howie Carr says, that these deceptive, self serving politicians want some laws enforced.

Are you confused about this sudden outbreak of law ’n’ order? Comedy Banned At Harvard, Looking Down From the Ivory Tower

The smartest man in the room seldom has a sense of humor. In the film Loser, a professor having an affair with a 17-year-old female student is portrayed as being that smartest man at the college. He shows no humor and lacks common sense too. Below is an exchange on the discussion boards of the Harvard Crimson, the student newspaper at Harvard University. It appeared under a story about the campaign for US Senator in Massachusetts. Republican Scott Brown is the incumbent, quite an accomplishment in a heavily Democratic state. Elizabeth Warren a Harvard Law Professor is the Democratic challenger. The article is about the use of welfare rolls to send out voter registration forms with return postage. Warren's daughter is chairman of the board of a non profit which sued the state of Massachusetts to force them to comply with this voter registration law. Brown says that Warren, having raised $13 million for her campaign, should pay for the mailing.

Mr. Jonathan Pulliam dislikes Mitt Romney is all I've been able to discover. It may explain his moral superiority, his obtuse use of precise technical words pulled from text books, his omniscience, arrogance, personal attacks and his lack of a sense of humor. Poor JP, it is a burden being the smartest man in the room. "Willfully ignorant?" Huh?

Massachusetts wasn't complying with the 1993 federal law, and Demos already had a well-established track record of litigating non-compliant states, so the Brown camp oughtn't hold its collective breath waiting for a refund.
Not to put too fine a point on it, but tertiary partisan jockeying amounts to, in the current context of ongoing global liquidity crises coupled with persistent, pronounced economic recession, just the sort of "rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic" partisanship decried across our Commonwealth and which figures so prominently in all of Scott Brown's recent campaign ads.
Rather than becoming distracted by the inconsequential minutiae of our post-Gerrymandered Commonwealth's arcane election laws, it is our critically urgent obligation rather to first address the more pressing policy proposals facing us.

Why do voters need to register before voting? That only embarrasses non citizens, and tourists who want to vote. I mean, like, you know, if a person has enough enthusiasm to actually go into those polling places, which are usually very dull with no music, no internet connections, no adult beverages available, to vote, why not encourage them? And why not allow people to vote from adult beverage emporiums, using their mobile devices? Why the burden of having to go to those polling places at all? Yecch. BTW does anyone know what "tertiary partisan jockeying" means? Horse racing? Underwear? "Global liquidity crisis?" Anyone? Does it have to do with adult liquid beverages not being allowed in polling places? How old do you have be to vote? Is there an upper age limit? Are waivers granted to very intelligent and highly motivated people? Can you vote more than once?

Tertiary partisan jockeying, as with tertiary syphilis, is the final stage which precedes the fatal dementia-fogged conclusion, invariably the demise of the host. In this instance it is the organism politic here in Massachusetts which is both diseased and dying. Our democratic institutions have been so swamped by a tsunami of mostly out-of-state originating contributions, that the will of our own Commonwealth's electorate has been thwarted again and again.

The "jockeying" refers to advantage-seeking via "positioning" on "issues of questionable priority" artfully introduced by one candidate's team in an attempt to derail the other's bid. People will often "see through" this ploy, though it must be noted that apparently, some don't -- you, to give one counter-example, fail completely in this regard, it must be stated.

It is not my duty to have to educate willfully ignorant persons such as yourself in the meaning of terminology used to describe economic concepts. That said, "illiquidity" is when one can't afford to pay, typically until they themselves are paid debt obligations owed. That is what has typically occurred when one hears of cascading loan, or bond-payment defaults. The classic, textbook example of a "Global liquidity crisis" would, of course, have been the so-called "Banker's Panic of 1907" a financial liquidity shortfall partially remediated by the intervention of J.P. Morgan ( the man not the craptacularly corporatized modern-day incarnation ), and the reason I mention our current global liquidity shortfall, manifest recently in Sapin, Greece, and other Eurozone nations, is that undefended, our financial system will wither and die, and if we're too busy arguing and self-righteously positioning ourselves vis-a-vis stupid-ass campaign-generated distractions of tertiary (third-rate) priority, such as the "Motor Voter" law of 1993, then we are essentially abdicating our responsibility to address problems in an order which might reasonably permit their timely and efficacious solution.

Harvard Exploits Tax Exemption With No Jeopardy

About using Facebook and email during class, "Students and professors seem to accept this as a routine part of Harvard life.

Has this too become a routine part of Harvard life? Using tax exempt property for for profit enterprises contrary to law? A recent article about US Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren revealed she was doing consulting work too.
