"'based on this information, that’s not something we want to be a part of,' said Councilor Marc McGovern," a social worker in diversity saturated, conformist Cambridge, MA. He says he works with the most vulnerable population. Who is more vulnerable in Cambridge, MA than a person who holds different views than the majority, 10-20 years ago or even at present? There is no support for offensive speech, called hate speech, which is protected by the US and the Massachusetts Constitutions, in this allegedly tolerant city. There is also no compassion from this politically motivated social worker who shows lack of support for the Constitution he swore to protect. Under the Civil Rights statute of Massachusetts MGL Ch. 265, Sec 37, intimidating a person in the free exercise of a constitutionally protected right is a felony. Stormfront promotes nationalism, not supremacy. Notice the Chronicle's neutral recognition of a black separatist organization, whose forum was attended by most of the city council and school committee candidates in Cambridge last week. Use of the word supremacism, may more properly be applied to the Cambridge chapter of black separatists and nationalists who ran that candidate forum.

Here is a public official condemning protected speech, violating his oath of office. That can be intimidating, and a chilling effect on a civilian. The Councilor mentions diversity, without defining what he means. Certainly he does not mean diversity of opinion. Few persons in Cambridge support diversity of opinions. The comments by Mr. Sanzone show he does not assert his right to express his unpopular opinions, opinions protected by the US and Massachusetts Constitutions. He appears to be intimidated by the reactions of Cambridge politicians and voters who disagree with his ten-year-old expression. His fear and intimidation is not unique. Many people fear being called racist, homophobe, Islamophobe and sexist if they express their opinion on contemporary controversial issues. It shows that the prevailing doctrine in this nation is to censor speech which may offend some person, or hurt his feelings. That is what the protection of the First Amendment and the concept of free speech is all about. Speech you like does not need protection. Shameful that so very few understand that. And fewer who do, refuse to stand up and assert their right to hear unpopular speech. Yet they seldom disagree with hateful and misguided expression that is published by mainstream publications calling for the deaths of Americans, Israel, Jews, and Christians. Is there a lack of critical thinking ability in this nation among voters, and elected officials?

Behind both the Warren bill and the executive order the president signed earlier this week is the same philosophy that created a mountain of student debt that is $1 trillion and climbing.
This is a federal aid regime that encourages ever-more student borrowing, which in turn fuels university spending that then drives up tuition faster than general inflation.
If President Obama and Sen. Warren were right, the explosion in federal aid over the past decades would have made college more affordable. The reality is otherwise.

Most of America’s college grads are in a deep hole because of money they borrowed and invested in their educations. Outstanding student loans now total more than $1.2 trillion. One borrower out of seven defaults on student loans within three years of beginning payments.
This isn’t just a burden on graduates and their families, it’s a drag on the economy as a whole. Young people saddled with debt don’t buy furniture or cars. They linger in their parents’ homes rather than start families and households of their own. Their inability to spend is one of the factors that has kept the economic recovery from gaining momentum.

While it might be an easier pill for Republicans to swallow if the student loan bill’s costs were offset by a provision that was less a partisan lightning rod than a tax hike, Warren defends it. Given the state of the economy, she argues, which is a more worthy investment: college education for America’s young adults, or tax loopholes for its wealthiest earners?

Consider it a graduation present to the Class of 2014. 

Clearly 215 miles from New York City there is no concern for logic or for wasting taxpayer funds. The Cambridge Massachusetts weakly paper appears to be a cheerleader for the Spending Other People's Money Society.

Cambridge Editor Leaving Paper

Scott Wachtler is not the first Editor of this paper to recognize the apathy of Cambridge voters toward misguided government priorities. (Scott Wachtler, "So long, Cambridge -- thanks for the stories," Cambridge Chronicle, November 1, 2012) His unique perspective as editor of the local paper gave him access to public officials, readers, and voters. Cambridge voters do not care about corruption. Not all voters, but many of them. Cambridge was a different city before rent control was repealed in 1995. More voters attended City Council meetings and more voters spoke out about abuses of power, negligence, waste of taxpayer funds, and corruption. Seventeen years later the demography of Cambridge is changed. Fewer working class voters. (I know, Harvard University professors see themselves as working class.) 

When concerned citizens confront officials with violations of state laws and city ordinances, the typical response from public officials is "Will you shut up!" Today Cambridge residents prefer to give money than to confront abuses of government officials. They do not want to get involved. Wealthy academics and academic wannabes dominate the population in Cambridge in 2012. One study showed that only 25 percent of the City population has been in the city for more than 5 years. The few citizens who do care about corruption are derided, ridiculed and humiliated by public officials, journalists (with exceptions), and wealthy citizens. It is revealing that critics of the Cambridge Chronicle ask "Are you trying to be like the Herald?" The Boston Globe does not do reform of state and local government unless or until corruption is exposed by other media. The Kennedy cult Democrats run Massachusetts for many years. Kennedy supporters are more highly concentrated in Cambridge and at the Globe, than elsewhere in the Commonwealth. 

Middlesex County government was dissolved due to corruption. In the 1940s Cambridge was so thoroughly corrupt the form of city government was changed to the current Plan E. But that did not end the problems. It all depends upon who runs the government. In England they have a term "rotten borough" for jurisdictions like Cambridge, that are corrupt no matter what is done to combat it. 

Wachtler was up against more than the usual resistance to scrutiny by public officials. Cambridge voters do not want honest government. They prefer easy access, relaxed rectitude, and optional law enforcement. One journalist revealed after some hard hitting reporting of government negligence, his boss told him, "We have to live with these people." He did not want to offend "these (government) people." Like Scott he left that media venue. 

A few years ago Walter Cronkhite lamented at Harvard University's Kennedy School that once the salaries of journalists were raised to high levels the quality of reporting dropped. Journalists now earning millions of dollars a year want to get invited to dinners given by and for the people they used to cover when reporting. So they write positive stories and eliminate the negative. One other journalist explained the reason they do not criticize officials in government, at corporations and universities is because they do not want to offend their "sources." It is not a good time for journalism or for free expression in the United States.

Cambridge Chronicle Exhibits Bigotry

Police redacted a man's self identification of having "been diagnosed with mental illness." Is this how psychiatry works these days? How reliable is it? If he says "I'm innocent?" will that be reported if the police redact it? Medical records are protected by state and US laws. Why does the Cambridge Chronicle report this allegation without evidence in a story about crime? Do the editors and writers publish their irrational bigoted beliefs that fake psychiatric illness made him do it? What is the explanation for printing the statement of this suspect? Do all persons accused of mental illness "creep out" the editors? Would that be called disability profiling? Or do all such persons expose themselves at malls?

Yes this is racial profiling, but not by Crowely, but by Prof Gates. and by the man who holds the higest most prestegious job in the US, Obama, on national TV. All of these Meetings, and training, and teaching moment should be done to teach Gates and Obama how not to be racist. At 58 I watched the many blacks who paid a high once for things they shouldn't have had to. But they acheived so much, all with Pride and Dignity. How sad that they have had to watch the nextt generation crying and whining about how awful they have been treated, they don't have any idea of what racist treatment. is about. As for true racial profiing it is present still. But the other side of this are the daily crimes that the young blacks continue to commit. This may sound racist but I live in the greater Cincinnati area and every morning there is at least one person shot and killed by another young black cihild. Instead of using this bs about Gates. why not start focusing on the black on black crime and stop whining about non-issues. Give the child solutions to help them grow into productive adults. How many children were murdered in Chicago. Teach these kids to be proud and dignified and that they may look forward and leave the rumination and whining in the past. Teach them the strength, and pride and dignity that their Great grand parents displayed that enabled the next generations to be able to achieve
things and let go of the past so that they may achieve the very roles of Hayes and Obama, Oprah, and so many successful people. Make a learning experience of honoring their past, but stop using the excuses to not be more


One more note, the next time Gates has a break in, how about calling his good friend Obama to help him?

Cambridge Police Violate First Amendment


An American citizen who Cambridge police believe has a disability was taken into custody and forced to be evaluated by a government psychiatrist against his will. The man was at City Hall seeking an audience with the Mayor and the City Manager, both public officials. He is not reported to have offered either official any money. The First Amendment guarantees the Right to Petition, the Right to Access, and the Right to be Heard all parts of the First Amendment. Those rights were violated as they are daily in the lawless city.

This is a pervasive example of police violating city, state and US laws on discrimination based upon disability. Neither the office of the City Manager nor the Mayor made any effort to accommodate this man who police believe has a disability.

Due to unlawful police action the basic Constitutional Rights of this citizen was denied. The City Manager was found guilty of violating the rights of another citizen and discriminating based upon race. The court awarded the citizen $6 million so far including interest. Since the City Manager spends other people's money he remains unconcerned about this court ordered payment. The Mayor and her over paid colleagues on the City Council are also unconcerned about this multi million dollar taxpayer bill.

The Mayor is a proud black lesbian single mother. She allegedly knows about discrimination but allowed her employees to abuse the rights of this vulnerable man.

If he appeared at City Hall with cash in hand would he be dismissed unceremoniously as he was? I do not think so. Well funded and politically connected citizens have easy access to these two self serving officials who openly exhibit their arrogance and disrespect for individuals with disabilities. But they also show their contempt for the laws of the city, the state and the US.

The police are unable to prevent shooting deaths in this "superior" city which hosts Harvard and MIT. Two drug connected Cambridge youths were shot dead in Cambridge in two months. A third shooting sent a third youth to the hospital. History shows that police corruption varies directly with the murder rate.

The Cambridge police have plenty of manpower to harass persons with disabilities and critics of the institutionalized abuses of power of public officials and politicians. The local paper makes fun of the man with a disability as one would expect from journalists who obey the homosexual lobby. Cambridge is an example of life imitating art -- Animal Farm lives in the city. All former victims of abuse have become abusers themselves. How very typical.

The local news (above) reports that the man was allegedly "belligerent." Has being belligerent become a crime? The below article reports that psychiatrists want to make "bitterness" a mental illness. If it was a crime the accused would have due process rights. Under psychiatry there are no Constitutional protections.

It would be nice if the Chronicle would announce these sorts of public meetings well in advance before they occur so the citizens actually know about them and can try to attend to present their views, opinions and reaction to this sort of thing.
By not covering these events before hand you are doing your readership and the city a disservice.

Cambridge Chronicle is a private citizen under law and has no power over government. Read the open meetings law. See how lax the city is in obeying that law. Then visit the City's website and the city clerk's office. If you want to learn how government works forget about psychiatry and making diagnoses. Law is the standard not personal opinion. In Massachusetts Democrats do what they want to do 'because they can' ignore laws and voters. Cambridge is run by the Conformist Party of Massachusetts. The City Manager decides and lets you think your vote counts.
