Words of politicians are cultural propaganda warfare. They do not invite homeless people into their homes to use bathrooms. Spending Other People's Money Society rules. Eighteen-percent-of-the-vote DeBlasio does not want to, and is unable to govern. He likes to campaign and prance around as head of city, nothing to do with being head of city government. The pattern of the White House legend-in-his-own-mind is replicated in Gracie Mansion.

Rome fell. New York is falling down. It is filled with illegalities and filth as a result of the good intentions and failed ideas of liberals. Politicians pretend to want the best while they deliver the worst.
De Blasio and New York City Council speaker Melissa Mark-Mark-Vivirito have decriminalized public urination and quality-of-life offenses. Are they kidding? De-civilizing a beautiful city is not a positive. It is a fall from grace.
The Broken Windows theory states that small crimes lead to major crimes. De Blasio and Mark-Vivirito should study sociology. Their ignorance is ruining our city.
They pretend to be kind to the poor while they destroy their lives and leave them scantily clothed with no toilet paper on street corners. They whisper sweet things in bums ears while they throw their lives into sewers.
De Blasio and Mark-Vivirito want to lower the quality of life in New York. They are doing a good job at making New York into a third-world country.
When I get on a subway, there are small Mexican bands singing and break-dancers stepping on my feet. I don't interfere with their solitude; why should they bother me? And I'm supposed to tip them for failing to entertain me?
There are bums underground moaning that they were injured in the war and that they're hungry veterans.

The tramps complain if you don't give them a dollar.
Another thing that bothers me is allowing bikes on trains. If these environmentally oriented bike riders want to keep the world clean, they should ride in the streets. I am sick of their taking up an inordinate amount of space in the subway cars. There is no law against it, but there should be.
Mark-vivirito wants to make drinking alcohol legal in the streets, encouraging us to violence and endangering those who are not drunks to get drunk.
Mark-Mark-Vivirito and de Blasio feel that black and Hispanic New Yorkers are arrested at a disproportionate rate. Not true. Minorities are committing crimes at a disproportionate rate and are being arrested proportionately to their actual crimes.
I do not understand the new sympathy toward crooks. Even Obama wants to let nonviolent crooks out of jail. I went to jail for tax evasion. It was a non-violent crime. I still deserved to go.

Curious arguments by omniscient politicians. Earlier the argument was Inspectional Services could not enforce current laws, but new laws would be enforced. Now the issue is flooding? Harvard University took three residential units off the market contrary to their promise due to frequent flooding. Last week my kitchen sink drain backed up with dirt blocking the drain. This is another example of lack of critical thinking by Cambridge Councilors. Increased population density does not improve quality of life. What are they thinking?

Conjoined Twins 3-months-old, Successfully Separated

Doctors successfully separated the sisters, who shared a liver, during an operation in India last week.

Three-month-old conjoined twins who shared a liver have been successfully separated by doctors in India.
Sisters Jannat and Mannat were born joined at their abdomen and lower chest - a condition known medically as omphalopagus - and had a combined weight of just 6.6 lbs.
They were delivered at a private hospital in Barara, a town in Ambala district, near Chandigarh, on August 27.

It is the first time such a surgery has been successfully carried out at the PGIMER, the doctor said.
Doctors carried out a series of tests including CT and MRI scans to find out which organs the sisters shared.
They found that the twins had a conjoined liver but thankfully, the rest of their organs were separate.
Dr Kanojia said that such separation surgeries on conjoined twins are generally performed when the children are over a year old.

It was the first time the surgical team at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in India had performed an operation to separate conjoined twins. The girls have been recovering in hospital.

However, it was decided that despite the twins only jointly weighing 9.2lbs at the time of surgery, any delay could hinder their growth.
A 30-member team worked for eight hours to separate the twins, ensuring each baby had enought of the vital organ to live a normal life, on November 23.
It was led by Dr Ravi Kanojia, assisted by paediatrics surgeon Dr Jai Kumar Mahajan.

New York City Knows How To Increase Homeless Population, While Providing Housing to Illegal Aliens

Elimination of blight, destroying flop houses increased homelessness. DeBlasio is Mayor of the US, no time for NYC. Taxpayers provide, housing, food, legal assistance, health care, college tuition, driver's licenses, for illegal aliens. Homeless veterans and American citizens,  live with none of the above. Why are so many taxpayers and voters silent and cooperative with the criminals who run the government and waste taxpayer funds?

New York’s revolving door of justice sprang a scary leak Saturday when a threatening, public-urinating, jagged-glass-waving homeless man was twice hauled away by cops — only to each time be quickly released to terrorize the same stretch of Broadway on the Upper West Side.
“I’ve seen him there peeing before, washing himself,” said an outraged neighbor, Israel Verchik.
The area stinks like a toilet, said Verchik, 61, one of many New Yorkers who voiced their outrage over the homeless explosion on Gotham streets.
“I live here on the second floor and I can smell it in my bedroom,” Verchik said.
“It’s outrageous that the city doesn’t do anything to help him.”

He finished his business at a nearby garbage bin, then strolled back to the front of a Victoria’s Secret store at Broadway and 85th Street, where he camped out for the rest of the day.
Mark-Viverito in April announced plans to decriminalize public urination along with five other low-level offenses: biking on the sidewalk, public consumption of alcohol, being in a park after dark, failure to obey a park sign and jumping subway turnstiles.

Transit hubs, including Penn Station, are plagued by surging numbers of homeless people who publicly masturbate, harass bystanders and demand free food as the city looks the other way, commuters complain.
“It reminds me of the pre-[Rudy] Giuliani era,” said Jim Hoover, 60, who has been commuting through Penn Station since 1986. “The police aren’t chasing them away anymore.”
Just outside the Port Authority Bus Terminal, a homeless man drunkenly knocked a woman to the floor while stumbling around the sidewalk.

Take a walk down Broadway on the Upper West Side from the 100s to the 70s, as I did Sunday, and you’ll see it everywhere. It seems every barren storefront with a rental sign in the window has ­become impromptu outdoor housing for a homeless person.
There are many such storefronts — ironic signs of prosperity, not recession. Rents have risen so high that small businesses often can’t afford to continue and landlords will keep a storefront unoccupied for a very long time to secure a wealthy customer willing to take a very lengthy lease (i.e., a bank).
The number of people living on the street in the neighborhood, or at least taking up daytime residence to beg for change, has skyrocketed from a mere handful to several dozen or more.
And many of the faces on the street are a type new to New York City. They’re often startlingly young and white and look like nothing so much as the hippies who used to populate the Upper West Side in the late 1960s and early ’70s. They would have fit right in at the Occupy Wall Street encampment two years ago or at a G20 protest.

In a shop in the low 90s on Broadway where I was buying my kids ice cream, a young man came in and demanded free sample ­after free sample from a clearly uncomfortable teen girl behind the counter, bought nothing, then planted himself in the store, started making phone calls, and wouldn’t leave.

It wasn’t crime per se that made you uncomfortable (even at the height of its troubles, New York had a lower per-capita crime rate than other US cities). Islamic State leaders claim to be living in luxury in a vast mansion seized from a billionaire Arab sheikh.
The jihadi group’s social media sites posted photographs of the spectacular mansion, under the headline: ‘A castle for the tyrants of Qatar in Palmyra’.
Aerial snapshots show sprawling gardens surrounding the mansion, in the heart of the Syrian desert.
It is claimed that the real owners – the Qatari royal family – abandoned the villa when Isis closed in.
The leaders of the regime, which took over nearby Palmyra in May, are now said to have set up headquarters in the luxury villa, amid gold-leaf columns and plush furnishings.
One Syrian Twitter user – who claimed to have previously worked inside the palace – posted satellite imagery of the property last December.



He claimed that construction, which began in 2009, ground to a halt due to the Syrian civil war.
He added in a comment that the marble floors inside the villa are the same as those at the holy mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
Social media users refer to the villa as Mozeh Palace claiming it was built for Emira Mozeh, the mother of the current Emir of Qatar, the British-educated Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

The tragedy is that this state of affairs has been tolerated and in fact encouraged by most politicians and opinion makers across the political spectrum.

Sharing this worldview, Swedish political elites are reluctant to vacate the shantytowns and discourage begging. Instead, they pledge additional public resources that will serve only to enable the begging behavior and ensure that the problem continues to grow, to the real detriment of the social fabric. Even Sweden’s largest center-right party recently announced that it supported criminalizing “organizers” of begging but keeping the act itself legal. Sweden shows every sign of repeating the destructive story of many American cities a generation ago, as Myron Magnet chronicled in his 1993 book, The Dream and the Nightmare: in which elites churn out the dreams, but society pays the cost.

Life Goes Fast

... And then it is Winter ...

You know, time has a way of moving quickly and catching you unaware of the passing years.

It seems just yesterday that I was young, just married and embarking on my new life with my mate. And yet in a way, it seems like
eons ago, and I wonder where all the years went. I know that I lived them all… And I have glimpses of how it was back then and of
all my hopes and dreams… But, here it is..the winter of my life and it catches me by surprise… How did I get here so fast? Where did
the years go and where did my youth go?

I remember well… seeing older people through the years and thinking that those older people were years away from me and that winter
was so far off that I could not fathom it or imagine fully what it would be like… But, here it is… my friends are retired and getting gray…
they move slower and I see an older person now. Some are in better and some worse shape than me... but, I see the great change… Not
like the ones that I remember who were young and vibrant… but, like me, their age is beginning to show and we are now those older folks
that we used to see and never thought we'd be.

Each day now, I find that just getting a shower is a real target for the day! And taking a nap is not a treat anymore… it's mandatory!
Cause if I don't on my own free will… I just fall asleep where I sit!

And so, now I enter into this new season of my life unprepared for all the aches and pains and the loss of strength and ability to go and
do things that I wish I had done but never did!!
But, at least I know, that though the winter has come, and I'm not sure how long it will last...this I know, that when it's over...its over…
Yes, I have regrets. There are things I wish I hadn't done… things I should have done, but indeed, there are many things I'm happy to
have done. It's all in a lifetime…

So, if you're not in your winter yet… let me remind you, that it will be here faster than you think. So, whatever you would like to

"Len Thomas, director of the Cambridge Multi-Service Center,[. . .] argued that a main reason that Central Square residents and visitors feel uncomfortable around the homeless is that they do not know them, and invited members of the public to introduce themselves to homeless individuals in order 'to learn that these are real people.'”
How rational is that? In Cambridge where upper class PhD.s prance about knowing that they are superior to any person without a PhD., I can just see them having a chat with the homeless to see that they are human. But people with a BA are not? Hello! What a lack of awareness this shows about Cambridge.

"Superintendent Steven Williams of the Cambridge Police Department [said of] the Homeless Outreach Program, 'We’ve been able to [. . .] get them the help that they normally would not have sought out.'” What they need is a home. But police provide help they do not seek. Could that be psychiatric drugs to make them violent?
