Ann Coulter knows the United States is no longer a nation of laws. It is ruled by elitists-- journalists, politicians and academics. It is depressing to think a nation of 300 million cannot find candidates who have no birth problems. Is it important to have something to hold over the head of elected officials so that they will obey the ruling elite? That may explain why so many politicians lack spines. 



On the other had according to Ben Macintyre in his book, A Spy Among Friends: Kim Philby and the Great Betrayal, a memo uncovered in 1946 revealed that there were over 200 Soviet spies in the United States government. More in the British government. Kim Philby, a Soviet double agent was in charge of counter espionage for the MI6 and worked closely with James Angleton, the counter spy chief of the CIA. Many under cover agents for Britain and the United States lost their lives because of Philby. It is amazing that the allies won the second World War.

If Ted Cruz is a “natural born citizen,” eligible to be president, what was all the fuss about Obama being born in Kenya? No one disputed that Obama’s mother was a U.S. Citizen.
Cruz was born in Canada to an American citizen mother and an alien father. If he’s eligible to be president, then so was Obama — even if he’d been born in Kenya.

As with most constitutional arguments, whether or not Cruz is a “natural born citizen” under the Constitution apparently comes down to whether you support Cruz for president. (Or, for liberals, whether you think U.S. citizenship is a worthless thing that ought to be extended to every person on the planet.)
Forgetting how corrupt constitutional analysis had become, I briefly believed lawyers who assured me that Cruz was a “natural born citizen,” eligible to run for president, and “corrected” myself in a single tweet three years ago. That tweet’s made quite a stir!
But the Constitution is the Constitution, and Cruz is not a “natural born citizen.”

The phrase “natural born” is a legal term of art that goes back to Calvin’s Case, in the British Court of Common Pleas, reported in 1608 by Lord Coke. The question before the court was whether Calvin — a Scot — could own land in England, a right permitted only to English subjects.
The court ruled that because Calvin was born after the king of Scotland had added England to his realm, Calvin was born to the king of both realms and had all the rights of an Englishman.
It was the king on whose soil he was born and to whom he owed his allegiance — not his Scottish blood — that determined his rights.

Not everyone born on the king’s soil would be “natural born.” Calvin’s Case expressly notes that the children of aliens who were not obedient to the king could never be “natural” subjects, despite being “born upon his soil.”

So Cruz was born a citizen — under our naturalization laws — but is not a “natural born citizen” — under our Constitution.

Mostly, the Cruz partisans confuse being born a citizen with being a “natural born citizen.” This is constitutional illiteracy.

The best argument for Cruz being a natural born citizen is that in 1790, the first Congress passed a law that provided: “The children of citizens of the United States, that may be born beyond sea, or out of the limits of the United States, shall be considered as natural born citizens.”
Except the problem is, neither that Congress, nor any Congress for the next 200 years or so, actually treated them like natural born citizens.

What good does it do to insist on one’s rights as a citizen, when in fact mere citizenship has lost its meaning? Americans have no rights officials in Washington feel bound to recognize. Both Republicans and Democrats overrule majority opinion as a matter of course. They do not doubt for a moment that they are the best and brightest, and that our voting franchise is merely an antiquated inconvenience. My elected representatives represent no one but themselves. They make war on my culture, my faith, and my security-- then they insult me in front of the elitist media on TV. The executive branch, the congress, and most of the judiciary have no more respect for me as a human being than colonial empires had for the most backward and primitive of their subjects. The elites that live inside the beltway and in the bubble of academia should try living in Ohio or Missouri for a few years. “White privilege” isn’t doing all that well in rural West Virginia.

I would prefer to have a genuine conservative candidate to vote for, and will probably vote for Cruz if he looks viable enough. But if Donald Trump is what it has come to -- I will happily take the risk and check the box next to his name. Republican, independent, or Bull Moose party -- I could not care less.

The passports were clearly legal. At the very least, the issue of large numbers of non-Americans carrying U.S. passports is worthy of investigation.
English proficiency and American history are still required for naturalization. Children raised in the U.S. learn American history and to speak English. So, how were the people encountered -- living overseas as local nationals, loyal to a foreign government, some with values hostile to the U.S., and with little or no English skills – U.S. citizens?

What makes a person "American" runs much deeper than legal status or outward appearances. Immigrants need to assimilate to become American. The question of assimilation -- the level of assimilation necessary and why assimilation is important -- merits a separate discussion. Still, how can immigrants assimilate if they reside in a foreign land, live foreign customs, hold foreign values, and owe allegiance to a foreign government?
They can't, and awarding their offspring U.S. passports devalues American citizenship.

Chain migration accelerates the dilution of U.S. citizenship by birthright citizenship, transforming America in ways for which the citizenry never consented.
The legal and illegal influx of people hostile to American values and culture make up what Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal calls the colonization of America. National radio host Rush Limbaugh and others also use the term 'colonization' to describe the uncontrolled entry into the U.S. of foreign nationals with no desire to become Americans. Unfortunately, too many alien colonists already live within the U.S.

If their goal is to pick up a U.S. passport so their kid can qualify for in-state tuition, to make traveling in Europe easier, or to find a higher paying jobs, then U.S. citizenship is being sold on the cheap. Realistically, leaders lack sufficient moxie to strip citizenship from anybody. The moneyed interests seeking cheap labor and the political interests seeking a perpetual underclass dependent on handouts are not interested in any policy protecting U.S. citizenship. The Refugee Crisis™ debate is framed as a battle between compassionate liberals responding to desperate pleas and coin-counting, callous, conservative reactionaries. But charitable motives animate the Left little, if at all. Liberals are notoriously tightfisted with (their own) charitable dollars; even more to the point, when a shipload of Jews fleeing Nazi persecution wanted safe haven in the US, leftist icon FDR turned it away. It’s one of those curious coincidences in history that the Left’s attitude toward refugees changed precisely when leftists discovered they could import voters who would empower them.
And does attaching something as a rider — citizenship — to charity aid the cause of charity? Are people more or less likely to offer charity to a person if the act begins and ends with charity, or if they must grant the individual some decision-making power in their home as well? That’s a package deal only a masochist could love.
So there’s an easy way to uncover liberals’ true motivations and whether they’re serious about charity for refugees. Make a simple offer: you’ll give bona fide refugees safe haven, and you’ll do your best to ensure they’re treated well. But there’s no citizenship. Ever. And they’ll be expected to eventually return to their homelands. See if the leftists bite…anything but your extended hand.

On the one hand, liberals sometimes point out that despite doom-and-gloom prognostication, we live in the most “peaceful era in human history.” And they cite statistics backing up the assertion. On the other, they claim we must suddenly accommodate endless troves of “refugees” fleeing persecution.

We’re told that prosperous countries have a moral responsibility to the world’s poorer nations. So why then are wealthy Asian Tigers never asked to absorb any “refugees”? Japan, in fact, has virtually no immigration whatsoever despite having an extremely low birthrate and shrinking population. Moreover, since many refugees are Muslim, why aren’t Saudi Arabia, Qatar, The United Arab Emirates and the other oil-rich Arab nations taking them in? Wouldn’t it seem a natural fit? (Then they could stop importing the Filipinos and others they use for domestic help.) Maybe they know something we don’t.

Judge Richard Posner of the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals is America’s most-cited federal judge — and, by the way, no friend to conservatives. In 2003, he wrote a concurrence simply in order to demand that Congress pass a law to stop “awarding citizenship to everyone born in the United States.”

Clearly, these sorts of thing often happen.

The above Snopes quote claims that “this type of error is common in [personal information] databases.”
They supply no data whatsoever in support of this claim, but, once again, never mind.
Clearly, questions about Obama’s identity have nothing to do with data and shouldn’t.
We already know the answers, and the answers are that everything’s A-OK.
And yet, there remain pesky questions such as “just how common is it for names to be mistakenly linked to other names, addresses, and SSN’s in “personal information databases”?

More fundamentally, why do the American people not have a right to the protection that immigration laws provide people in other countries around the world — including Mexico, where illegal immigrants from other countries get no such special treatment as Mexico and its American supporters are demanding for illegal immigrants in the United States?

Councilor Cheung is correct about citizen participation, but fails to recognize that some of his Council colleagues disagree. (Leland Cheung, GUEST COMMENTARY, Cambridge Chronicle, Jan 21, 2014) They discourage citizen participation, unless they agree with the policies of the politicians. Recently the Democratic Governor of New York declared that conservatives (not Republicans) should leave his state. Cheung acknowledges that politicians deceive voters and taxpayers, without giving examples. It is not clear why he needed to enroll in Harvard's Government school to learn about politics, especially his own. Do credentials bring self awareness? He states his values guide policy decisions,and that he got some of his values from his father who is a Republican. Cheung disagrees with Republicans about funding education. Did he ever consider the idea that if the U.S. Department of Education was abolished, more taxpayer money would be available for schools and education? He does not mention the role of teachers unions (and the other seven unions with which the School Department must negotiate) in making school policies. Does the pervasive negative attitude among Harvard University toward public school graduates influence his education values and policies?

It is not difficult to see how Obama is damaging the nation by undermining the Constitution and laws of the nation. He took an oath not to do that. Yet he persists. How can a person be legally in the country yet not be legally here? Oh you may say because of conflicts between state and US laws; or between two US laws. But the legalization of their status was done by one man without the authority to do so. The president cannot grant citizenship sua sponte. TO THE BABIES OF TOURISTS AND ILLEGAL ALIENS:

That's right, every other modern developed nation in the world has gotten rid of
birthright citizenship policies. Yet, most of U.S.news media and politicians the last two weeks have ridiculed the comments by some other politicians that it is time for the U.S.to put an end to
birthright citizenship for tourists and illegal aliens.

The U.S.stands alone. There used to be all kinds of developed countries that gave away their
citizenship as freely as we do in the U.S., but, one by one they all have recognized the folly
of that policy.

SOME MODERN COUNTRIES THAT RECENTLY ENDED
THEIR BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP POLICY:
* Canadawas the last non-U.S.
holdout. Illegal aliens stopped getting
citizenship for their babies in 2009.

* Australia's birthright citizenship requirements are much more stringent than
those of H.R. 1868 and took effect in 2007.
* New Zealandrepealed in 2006
* Irelandrepealed in 2005
* Francerepealed in 1993
* Indiarepealed in 1987
* United Kingdomrepealed in 1983
* Portugalrepealed in 1981

The United States is the laughing stock of the modern world.
Only the U.S.values its citizenship so lowly as to distribute it promiscuously
to the off-spring of foreign citizens visiting Disney World on tourist visas and
to foreign citizens who have violated their promises on their visitor, work and
student visas to stay illegally in the country, as well as to those who sneak
across our borders.

It's not just Mexico and South America who are sending illegals across our
borders. Currently, the CBP reports that of those apprehended illegally crossing the
border, China is number one.

Wake up America. Illegal aliens from China, India, Russia, the Middle East and a host of other
nations are flooding the country. Ironically, most often these illegal's and/or their offspring are given positions at the front of the line for Government jobs, contracts and assistance.
Look around you! We are giving away our culture, and economic and fiscal strength because our
borders are not secure and we bestow citizenship irresponsibly.

Fourteenth Amendment Citizenship

Cambridge MA Legislates Citizenship

Glad to see that Cambridge legislates in the citizenship process while the US AG wizard lawyer and Clinton appointee USDC Judge Bolton say Arizona cannot legislate regarding the citizenship process. It is legal for Cambridge but not for Arizona? Hello? What happened to equal protection of the laws praised by Cambridge for the same sex marriage case which violated the MA Constitution? Equal protection for homosexuals but not for breeders?
