It is an interesting commentary on our priorities that the IRS now has the authority to revoke the passports of Americans who are in arrears by more than $50,000, but Americans travelling overseas to fight with ISIS can return safely home with passports in hand. As USA Today notes, the new provision was included in the FAST Act highway transportation bill signed by President Obama on Dec.4:
A new enforcement provision passed by Congress and signed into law earlier this month allows the government to revoke the passports of seriously delinquent tax scofflaws -- people who owe more than $50,000 to Uncle Sam.

We have entered a new era in the war on terror -- one of home grown and legal terrorists who with a wave of that document can cross borders freely, receive training and support, then return home to further recruit or actually commit terrorist acts.

Ted Cruz attempted in September 2014 to fast track his bill to revoke the passports of those Americans, to coin a phrase, found to be fraternizing with our terrorist enemy. He attempted to rush the bill to the floor, bypassing committee consideration, but his unanimous consent request was blocked by a Democratic colleague.

The revocation of citizenship for terrorist association overseas has been said by some to be both unworkable and unconstitutional. Yet seemingly we can revoke the passports of those trying to steal from our government without objection but not from those in effect making war on us and our government.
In October 2014, FBI Director James Comey told CBS’ “60 Minutes” that a “dozen or so” Americans had traveled to Syria to fight with ISIS and that they were entitled to come back unless their passports were revoked

O'Keefe Exposes Connection of Syrian Migrants Using Fake Passports, to Hillary Clinton

A new undercover video released by James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas shows Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign vice chair, Huma Abedin, assuring an undercover reporter that the Democratic presidential candidate is committed to allowing Syrian refugees to settle in the U.S. and that Republican opposition to the plan is “really scary.”
The video, shared exclusively with The Daily Caller, also includes new hidden cam footage of Syrian refugees in Greece singing Clinton’s praises. O’Keefe’s group released a first installment of the video last week of the same Syrian men discussing using fake passports to enter Europe.[. . .]
In that video, filmed just after ISIS terrorists killed 130 people in Paris, the Syrian men discussed using fake passports to travel to Germany and perhaps to the U.S. And asked if the like or dislike Clinton, they said they have a favorable view of the former secretary of state.

Devaluing Citizenship of The United States

The passports were clearly legal. At the very least, the issue of large numbers of non-Americans carrying U.S. passports is worthy of investigation.
English proficiency and American history are still required for naturalization. Children raised in the U.S. learn American history and to speak English. So, how were the people encountered -- living overseas as local nationals, loyal to a foreign government, some with values hostile to the U.S., and with little or no English skills – U.S. citizens?

What makes a person "American" runs much deeper than legal status or outward appearances. Immigrants need to assimilate to become American. The question of assimilation -- the level of assimilation necessary and why assimilation is important -- merits a separate discussion. Still, how can immigrants assimilate if they reside in a foreign land, live foreign customs, hold foreign values, and owe allegiance to a foreign government?
They can't, and awarding their offspring U.S. passports devalues American citizenship.

Chain migration accelerates the dilution of U.S. citizenship by birthright citizenship, transforming America in ways for which the citizenry never consented.
The legal and illegal influx of people hostile to American values and culture make up what Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal calls the colonization of America. National radio host Rush Limbaugh and others also use the term 'colonization' to describe the uncontrolled entry into the U.S. of foreign nationals with no desire to become Americans. Unfortunately, too many alien colonists already live within the U.S.

If their goal is to pick up a U.S. passport so their kid can qualify for in-state tuition, to make traveling in Europe easier, or to find a higher paying jobs, then U.S. citizenship is being sold on the cheap. The more non-American citizens, the more the voice and economic power of Americans is diluted.

Realistically, leaders lack sufficient moxie to strip citizenship from anybody. The moneyed interests seeking cheap labor and the political interests seeking a perpetual underclass dependent on handouts are not interested in any policy protecting U.S. citizenship. Only new leadership in Washington can change the political calculus.

One Simple Question


Paul Hollrah [no results from Google search] at UTFSM [university in Chile?] raised the Obama birth issue, and believes the issue can be resolved by Obama answering one simple question:

What passport did he use when he was shuttling between New York, Jakarta, and Karachi?
So how did a young man who arrived in New York in early June 1981, without
the price of a hotel room in his pocket, suddenly come up with the price
of a round-the-world trip just a month later?

And once he was on a plane, shuttling between New York, Jakarta , and
Karachi, what passport was he offering when he passed through Customs and
Immigration?

The American people not only deserve to have answers to these questions,
they must have answers. It makes the debate over Obama's citizenship a
rather short and simple one.

Q: Did he travel to Pakistan in 1981, at age 20?
A : Yes, by his own admission..

Q: What passport did he travel under?
A: There are only three possibilities
1) He traveled with a U.S. Passport,
2) He traveled with a British passport, or
3) He traveled with an Indonesia passport.

Q: Is it possible that Obama traveled with a U.S. Passport in 1981?
A: No. It is not possible. Pakistan was on the U..S. State Department's
"no travel" list in 1981.
Conclusion:
When Obama went to Pakistan in 1981 he was traveling either with a
British passport or an Indonesian passport..

If he were traveling with a British passport that would provide proof he
was born in Kenya on August 4, 1961, not in Hawaii as he claims.

And if he were traveling with an Indonesian passport that would tend to
prove he relinquished whatever previous citizenship he held, British or
American, prior to being adopted by his Indonesian step-father in 1967.

Whatever the truth of the matter, the American people need to know how he
managed to become a "natural born" American citizen between 1981 and 2008..

Given the destructive nature of his plans for America, as illustrated by
his speech before Congress and the disastrous spending plan he has
presented to Congress, the sooner we learn the truth of all this, the better.

New ID Technology Makes Tracking People Easy


Gigi Zenk, a spokeswoman for the Washington state Department of Licensing, says Americans "aren't that concerned about the RFID" in a time when "tracking an individual is much easier through a cell phone." Americans are not concerned about the loss of Free Speech right. They are not concerned about forced drugging of children by school officials. They are unconcerned about using vulnerable persons for medical research. They are unconcerned about 90,000 deaths each year due to medical negligence. That is no argument for or against anything in this country with a large number of clueless citizens who vote.
