Democrats Show Lack of Consistency, Double Standard, Selective Outrage, Oppostion to Free Speech

Whether Trump's comments are true or not they are protected speech, opinions under the Constitution. It is something that Democrats are selective about supporting. The specific case of John McCain being a war hero was attacked by Democrats in 2008 when he ran for President. More and more propaganda, deception, fact spinning from journalists instead of facts to help voters and taxpayers make decisions.

The media is very conveniently joining in the outrage over Trump's comments. Like most media outrage, it relied on a very short attention span. Until fairly recently, comments about McCain not being a hero were most likely to come from liberals and the occasional Paultard.
Here are a few sample titles from progressive outposts like DailyKos and Democratic Underground.

They recite most of the same talking points that were part of the Obama whispering campaign against him back in '08.
Then again there was the Chris Rock joke, "He a war hero that got captured. There's a lot of guys in jail that got captured. Sh*t, f**k that. I don't want to vote for nobody that got captured. I wanna vote
for the mothe____ that got away."
The origin of Trump's line turns out to be Chris Rock. But don't expect the media to acknowledge that.

But the media has only loved McCain when it can use him to sell its narrative about Republicans. The moment he's an obstacle, it gives him both barrels. And so the same people who mocked McCain and Bob Dole's disabilities suddenly pretended to be outraged on McCain's behalf. Much like outrage over sexism, it's highly selective.

After spending decades mocking Bob Dole's disability, liberals suddenly feigned outrage when Republicans didn't pass a bill on disabilities that he wanted. This is more of the same.

She sounds a lot like Mass Attorney General Martha (Marsha) Coakley, who declared in 2008 "Technically in Massachusetts it's not illegal to be illegal." Media Bias Against Palin No Surprise

Weinstein makes the case for media bias against Palin and in favor of Edwards. But the same can be said about bias against McCain and for John Kerry. If it was a mistake for McCain to choose Palin for VP why was it not a mistake for Kerry to choose Edwards? I do not agree with Weinstein that Palin was a mistake. She energized Republican supporters. She shows how much of a attractive candidate she is by her high support among ordinary American voters.

Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota, points out some interesting facts concerning last November's Presidential election:

* Number of States won by: Obama: 19 McCain: 29

* Square miles of land won by:
Obama: 580,000
McCain: 2,427,000

Population of counties won by:
Obama: 127 million
McCain: 143 million

Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by:
Obama: 13.2
McCain: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory McCain won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.

Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..."

Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal's and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

Democrats Were Right


Much as it pains me to say this, I have to admit it - my Democrat friends were right.

They told me if I voted for McCain, the nation's hope would deteriorate, and sure
enough there has been a 20 point drop in the Consumer Confidence Index since the
election, reaching a lower point than any time during the Bush administration,
including right after 9/11.

They told me if I voted for McCain, the US would become more deeply embroiled in the
Middle East, and now, tens of thousands of additional troops are scheduled to be
deployed into Afghanistan .

My Democrat Party friends told me if I voted for McCain, that the economy would get
worse and sure enough unemployment is approaching double digits and the new stimulus
packages implemented recently have sent the stock market lower than at any time since
the Islamic Terrorists attacks of 9/11.

They told me if I voted for McCain, we would see more "crooks" in high ranking
positions in Federal government and sure enough, several recent cabinet nominees and
Senate appointments revealed resumes of scandal, bribery and tax fraud.

They told me if I voted for McCain, we would see more "Pork at the trough" in Federal
government and sure enough, 17,500 "Pork Bills" have shown up in Congressional
legislation since January 2009...

I was also told by my Democrat friends that if I voted for McCain, we would see more
deficit spending in Washington D.C. , and sure enough, the new President has spent
more in just six months than all other Presidents combined - in the entire history of
the good ole USA ...

Well I voted for McCain in November and my Democrat friends were right... all of
their predictions have come true!

Homosexuals Promote Mob Rule


Glad to see that the homosexual lobby is focused on the country’s best interest. While the financial system crumbles, the homosexual lobby focuses laser-like on same sex marriage and fights the will of the people in three states. The efforts to thwart voters by exploiting sympathetic courts and judges shows how devoted they are to the constitutional process and the public good.
When McCain-Palin supporters take to the streets to demonstrate around Harvard University, Barbara Streisand’s home and Bill Ayers’ home, will the homosexual lobby support that mob as well? If mob rule is preferred let all interest groups protest the outcome of voting. States can save millions by eliminating the ballot box, which always gets it wrong when homosexuals are involved.

"Politicians have never been known for telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, but generally when caught exaggerating the truth they usually stop. This year things seem to be different," observes Andrew Tanenbaum of Electoral-Vote.com. "For example, Sarah Palin has said over and over that she never requested any earmarks as governor. That is patently false. She requested $450 million in earmarks and got most of it. Although Congress wouldn't finance the bridge to nowhere, Palin got to keep the money anyway and spend it on other projects. When called on this, a McCain spokesman, Brian Rogers said 'We're running a campaign to win.' In other words, we don't care what the media think. Michael Cohen has a column in the NY Times about lying anno 2008. Ruth Marcus has one on what an economist called 'the symmetry of sin.' The idea is that if a reporter criticizes McCain or Palin for lying, they have an obligation to criticize Obama or Biden for lying, too. But she argues that it is not symmetric this year. Obama has been stretching the truth a little bit like quoting McCain on staying in Iraq for 100 years (which he did say) but leaving out the part where he compared it to the U.S. military presence in Germany for 60 years. In contrast, McCain and Palin have told out-and-out lies (e.g., about how Obama would raise everyone's taxes, something he never said) and repeated them even after they were pointed out numerous times." As David Corn points out, the "strategic goal" of these attacks is "to keep Obama pinned down. Should the Obama campaign waste time knocking down these purposeful errors and excessive spin? That would be letting McCain shape the debate to his advantage. But if the campaign allows this stuff to hit the wall -- and maybe stick -- the McCain mob wins."
