Boston Journalist Exhibits Irrational, Hateful Opinions on Disabled Persons

Rational arguments are not a requirement for journalists' essays. In this one Margery Eagan a woman with good personal practices seems to lack awareness of statistics and reason regarding two subjects mentioned herein. She laments "how easily even the mentally ill can buy high-capacity weapons." "Even for the mentally ill?" Who are more dangerous and violent? Normal persons or persons with disabilities? Why does this alleged compassionate Boston/Brookline journalist/radio talk show host continue to demonize persons with disabilities as if they are all dangerous? Why does she bash them and their right to bear arms guaranteed by the US Constitution? Is there an exception for disabled persons in the Second Amendment?

She joins the misguided totalitarian liberals and Communists who want to stop civilians from keeping arms. John Lott's book, More Guns Less Crime, established the fact that the more armed citizens the less violent crime. But you would think it was the opposite. Adolf Hitler that liberal Socialist darling took arms from his citizens in Nazi Germany. Public spirited Josef Stalin took guns from Russian citizens too. How did that work out? But in Boston and Brookline the misguided useful idiots continue to promote less guns and more violent crime. If one legally armed citizen was in that theater when the shooting began he could have stopped the carnage. But there was no one with a weapon. Last week a 71-year-old man stopped two armed robbers in a coffee shop. Why are liberals deaf and blind when it comes to guns?

Eagan Uninformed About Gun Laws and Crime

Margery Eagan says, "I wanted specifics, because I can’t find any." Try John R. Lott's book, More Guns Less Crime, published May 2010. In Arizona there is little street violence. People are allowed to carry weapons. When criminals know that anyone may have a gun they learn to be careful who they attack. In campus shootings if there were as there are on occasion armed civilians or off duty police present, the killers get shot quickly before emptying their weapons. Violent crime will go down in Florida as the law becomes known to the citizens. In Chicago with draconian gun laws there are dozens of shootings by teen thugs every weekend. In MA if someone attacks you, you are REQUIRED to retreat before you are allowed to defend yourself. Read the laws before you mislead others.

Eagan and Bishop Show Bigotry

Eagan continues irrational stereotyping of persons with disabilities. She equates violence with mental illness as if there was a causal connection. Why are so many journalists and radio talk show hosts with a history of mental illness not institutionalized? The answer to the good Bishop's query about why the violent man was not institutionalized is that it is contrary to law to hold someone without committing a crime. Having a history of mental illness is a status. It is like being black, being a homosexual, being a woman, an illegal alien, a Muslim. Should all of the above-mentioned groups be institutionalized? The US Constitution is why. Depriving a person of freedom without Due Process is the law of the land, the same law that allows same sex marriage. Only in Cambridge and at Harvard do police and campus criminals attack and harass persons due to their fears and for allegations. Under law one must commit a crime to lose one's freedom. In Cambridge police keep unpopular persons under 24/7 surveillance, harassment, provocation, threats, ridicule, character assassination and humiliation without any legal basis allowing such abuse and denial of rights. It is what Eagan and the Bishop would prefer. Why not limit the description of the suspect to having a history of violence? What is the connection to the history of mental illness? Mental illnesses are created from personal opinion not law. Eagan and the Bishop indicate they are bigots toward persons with disabilities slurring all persons accused of mental illness. Are all homosexuals and priests pedophiles? Are all black persons psychopaths? Are all women lying, cheating abusive criminals? Are all Muslims terrorists? All illegal aliens violent felons? All journalists mercenary deceivers?

Misguided Liberal Speechifiers

Margery Eagan wonders if Bachman is the brightest bulb in the GOP. Everyone knows that Eagan is not the brightest bulb when it comes to political punditry. Eagan joins worshipers of Barry Obama, who worships intelligence and credentials. Obama lacks the characteristics admired by most Americans -- integrity and common sense. Eagan Quotes Local FBI Spokesman

Cambridge City Councilors are typical American elected officials. They lack spines and promote relaxed rectitude. Nothing special or unique in Cambridge, host city of Harvard and MIT. Bloviation is what they do best. Margery Eagan quotes the astute council observer who regularly speaks the standard FBI opinion about local government. Hypocrite Liberals on Hate Speech Radio

Eagan's priorities are correct on this issue--the problem is misguided journalists. One example is her partner on their FM hate radio show. Repeatedly on their segment about the Westboro Church they referred to "those nuts." To Eagan and Braude poeple who disagree with them are mentally ill. They exhibit pervasive attitudes among conformist limousine liberals toward persons with disabilities. Liberals cannot explain why they disagree with the Westboro Church members. All they know how to do is call them names like evil, wrong, stupid and mentally ill. Why not look in the mirror and find the bigotry within?

Eagan Ignores Group Adoption and Promotion

Margery Eagan reveals her support for success no matter how it was achieved. Politicians and government promote fake images. Celebrities join in the fun. Obama, Biden, even Kennedy claim humble beginnings while they had support and protection from deep pocketed powerful organizations. How many individuals since the 1950s have made advances in their economic or social class without help from a government agency e.g., the FBI or an organized crime family. Obama is the product of the Kennedy cult and Harvard Law School. Ted Kennedy brought Obama's father to Harvard before the President was born. Ignoring the existence of powerful organizations does not make them disappear. But it does help keep the herd (as Chomsky calls the people) bewildered.

Margery Eagan is Clueless about Death Panels


Boston Herald Columnist and Talk Show Host Margery Eagan is clueless about the Death Panels that were in the Obama care proposals. On Wednesday August 19, 2009 she was on her noon to three PM radio show on Boston FM radio WTKK (96.9) discussing Obamacare. She dismissed the death panels as if it was a joke, non existent. Here is what I would have said if I took the time to get through to speak on air.

First if there was no death panels in the bill as Eagan claimed why did The White House remove them from the bill?

The reason is that the doctors "would not want to live like that." The person with a disability may be depressed or feel guilty for the extra care and costs to his or her relatives and friends. The provision that was removed was written by members of the former Hemlock Society based in Belmont MA.

Finally the entire Obama health care proposal is a death panel for older persons and persons with disabilities just as Gov. Sarah Palin claimed.

Obama says he will reduce costs and increase care. But he does not provide for increased professionals to provide the increased care. His proposals will require a rationing of health care. The very sick whose care is costly will be denied care so that younger healthier recipients will be able to have health care. That is why older persons recognize that they are the targets for denial of health care. Obama cannot admit this but it is a total death panel for older persons and for persons with disabilities.

How can an educated woman who I admire, dismiss illogically on radio a fact that conflicts with her limited vision? Is this one more example of journalists misleading citizens on public issues? Should this be reported as a fishy statement to the now no longer working snitch email to the White House?
