Google Rewriting American History

Google (now under the Alphabet umbrella) leverages its ubiquitous platform to doodle about holidays, anniversaries and famous people. Since about 26% of us are unsure from whom we got our independence; many believe that Karl Marx helped author the Constitution, and untold others cannot name our 3 major branches of government, they could provide a useful civic service.
Instead, the insular techies are enmeshed in Silicon Valley’s progressive orthodoxy, choosing to superimpose today’s mores on yesteryear while ignoring many heroic figures and religious holidays
that weave together the grand tapestry of American history. Contrary to their claims, Google Doodles more often celebrate obscure anniversaries and niche figures, retroactively applying modern leftist sensibilities tainted by sexism, multiculturalism, secularism, environmentalism and racialism.

On March 16, 2016, Google celebrated the 266th birthday of astronomer Caroline Herschel. By all accounts she was diligent, but her brother, Sir William Herschel, was more consequential in the field. [. . .] Even though William worked tirelessly to develop a natural history of the heavens, you won’t find a Google Doodle of him.
Amelia Earhart (who failed spectacularly) was celebrated by Google on July 24, 2012, but in the Google Doodle archives it’s Charles Lindberg who has gone missing.

If Google were intent on providing a public service faithful to our history, they’d spotlight Anthony with a doodle since a majority of Americans can’t identify her as a founder of the Women’s Rights movement.

Even though Christmas has been a federal holiday since 1870, we’re always greeted with a generic “Happy Holidays.” Their doodling started in 1998 – that’s 19 years of avoiding “Merry Christmas.”
In a nod to multiculturalism, I’m sure the clever artists at Google/Alphabet could contrive to combine Christian and Jewish traditions. Even many of the Jewish faith appreciate the glorious Nativity scene, and are content to see it beside the menorah in public. Yet you’ll find neither in the Google Doodle archives.

We all agree that while promoting economic development and creating good paying jobs that we must also protect our pale blue dot that hovers majestically in the vast void of space. But 16 Earth Day Doogles? That hardly reflects their mandate of being “fun, surprising and sometimes spontaneous”; rather, it bespeaks their political agenda, reinforced by their contributions.
Not many would begrudge MLK his Google Doodle. Actually, he has 12, which is far more than for all the U.S. Presidents combined. I couldn’t actually find many Google Doodles celebrating President’s Day, but I don’t want to definitively accuse them of gross negligence in case their search engine algorithms are absentminded.

Frederick Douglass and Harriet Tubman: let’s be magnanimous and concede they both deserve a Google Doodle. But Abraham Lincoln, who signed the Emancipation Proclamation and is generally considered one of our greatest presidents, is omitted.

On April 15, 2016, Google’s Doodle highlighted Samuan Samadikun’s 85th birthday. Apparently he’s a bright scientific mind from Indonesia who specialized in electrical engineering. But brighter or more influential than the plethora of great American electrical engineers, including Charles F. Kettering who holds 186 patents? Sorry, Charles, even though you gave so much back through your eponymous Kettering Foundation, you just sound too American to be recognized by Google.

I’m not sure whether Google should be intermixing business with iconography, but they like Earth Day so much they could at least remind us about the people and events that made America the “last best hope of earth.” We need it, since about 1/3rd of us would fail a naturalization test.
Google’s Doodles aren’t absentminded; they aren’t even spontaneous fun. They don’t celebrate our religious holidays with relish nor emphasize our American luminaries. They are deliberate, agenda-driven, social action propaganda that apologizes for American greatness. As Google parent Alphabet has surpassed Apple as the world’s most valuable company, the old question “does Google hate America?” deserves a huge doodle

Former US Attorney General Eric Holder is a huge fan of NBA hall of famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
So much so that Holder used Abdul-Jabbar's birth name, Lew Alcindor, as an alias for his official Department of Justice (DOJ) email account, raising more questions about the email practices of top Obama administration officials, and about the ability of US government agencies to track down correspondence in response to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.
The Lew Alcindor revelation was made in a February 16 letter that DOJ sent to VICE News and Ryan Shapiro, a historian and doctoral candidate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology who specializes in national security research.
"For your information," the letter said, "e-mails in the enclosed documents which use the account name 'Lew Alcindor' denote e-mails to or from former Attorney General Holder."
The letter was part of about 500 pages of heavily redacted emails and other documents [pdf at the end of this story] given to VICE News and Shapiro in response to a FOIA lawsuit filed in late 2014. The documents show that Justice Department officials sent emails to Lew Alcindor regarding calls from lawmakers for a federal investigation into claims that CIA personnel spied on Senate staffers while the Senate was drafting a report about the CIA's torture program. Holder's name does not appear anywhere in his Lew Alcindor email account.

Fallon made the disclosure less than a week before he announced that he would serve as lead press secretary for Clinton's presidential campaign. Fallon identified two of the email accounts Holder previously used, but they weren't the names of any known living person. Fallon declined to identify Holder's third email alias other than to say that it was "based" on an athlete. (Before leaving the DOJ in April 2015, Holder had still been using the Lew Alcindor email address.)
Fallon, who exchanged many of the emails in the cache with Lew Alcindor, explained the rationale for the practice: to combat spam and to avoid being inundated with correspondence from the public.
A Justice Department spokesman told VICE News there was nothing improper or legally questionable about Holder using the identity of a living person for his email account. Nor was it in any way an attempt, he said, to thwart FOIA or the Federal Records Act, which requires government agencies to preserve federal records. DOJ officials who handle FOIA requests and congressional inquiries, the spokesman said, knew of Holder's email aliases.

A few years ago, the former head of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Lisa Jackson, came under fire from conservative lawmakers and open government advocates — and was accused of attempting to thwart open records requests and federal records retention laws — after it was revealed that she used the email alias Richard Windsor when conducting official business.

A new undercover video released by James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas shows Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign vice chair, Huma Abedin, assuring an undercover reporter that the Democratic presidential candidate is committed to allowing Syrian refugees to settle in the U.S. and that Republican opposition to the plan is “really scary.”
The video, shared exclusively with The Daily Caller, also includes new hidden cam footage of Syrian refugees in Greece singing Clinton’s praises. O’Keefe’s group released a first installment of the video last week of the same Syrian men discussing using fake passports to enter Europe.[. . .]
In that video, filmed just after ISIS terrorists killed 130 people in Paris, the Syrian men discussed using fake passports to travel to Germany and perhaps to the U.S. And asked if the like or dislike Clinton, they said they have a favorable view of the former secretary of state.

If Affirmative Action Is Allowed, Racial Fakery Must Be Prevented

If Americans are going to have laws that mandate special privileges in college admission and employment, we must prevent racial fakery. We cannot permit a white or Asian person to take an opportunity that by law belongs to a black person. There should be DNA criteria to accurately determine one's race. Years ago in our country, "one drop" of Negro blood made it impossible for one to be white. With today's technological advances, we could be more precise.
Racial classification is not without other benefits. Suppose one wants to marry and at the same time keep his bloodline pure. Say he's a black man. Shouldn't he be protected from a racial imposter like Rachel Dolezal?

Fifteen years ago, Vijay Chokal-Ingam shaved off his straight black hair, trimmed what he calls his “long Indian eyelashes” and started checking off the “black” box for race on his med-school applications.
Before long, the Asian Indian American was interviewing at Harvard and Columbia, and found himself on wait lists at the University of Pennsylvania, Washington University and Mt. Sinai — despite his relatively mediocre 3.1 GPA and his family’s considerable wealth.

The FBI’s elaborate trickery was exposed Monday on Twitter by Christopher Soghoian — a principal technologist for the American Civil Liberties Union in Washington DC.
“In 2007, FBI sent malware via a link intended to look like a Seattle Times/AP story,” he tweeted, followed by a link to the EFF documents.

“The FBI impersonating the press is just as irresponsible as the CIA running fake immunization programs,” he added. “Completely unacceptable.”

“We are outraged that the FBI, with the apparent assistance of the U.S. Attorney’s Office, misappropriated the name of The Seattle Times to secretly install spyware on the computer of a crime suspect,” Seattle Times Editor Kathy Best told her paper. “Not only does that cross a line, it erases it.”
